Change priority (drop list) value in WEBUI search area

Hi all,
I looking for the customization area/ direction to change the value or the translation of the priority drop list in the WEBUI search area.
Can someone know how?

Do you mean you want to change the details that is showing in the drop down list in your search view on web ui.
If so, then you can refer to the following code and reuse it as per your requirement.
Firstly, in your context node's, respective attribute, generate the getter setter methods and add the following pieces of code in get_p and get_v method.

Whatever, data is written in quotation marks u2018 u2019 is what we want in the drop down fields to display so that the user can choose from one of them.

Hi All, I have ECC 6.0 (SAPKH61705) transactions being launched in CRM 7.0 (SAPKU71305) through the transaction launcher. We are able to display technical names for values in ECC through the gui, and in CRM in both the gui and webui. Is it possible to display the technical names for ECC through the webui? Yes, it's possible.
You can achieve it by coding. Instead of passing only the description to your drop down values, we can send technical name and description simultaneously to your drop down value. That's it.

Dynamic change of drop down values

hi gurus,
I got a peculiar senario.
i have three fields on modlue pool screen which are having drop downs.
based on the selected value in the first drop down second drop down values has to display.
suppose.
first drop down displays the bellow values.
technical documents.
type test.
if techincal documents is selected then display the bellow values.
test1
test2
test3
if type test is selected then display the bellow values.
test4
test5
i got the above logic.
one problem is what ever the value i am selecting is reflecting at the end of drop down .
second problem is bellow one.
now suppose that 'type test' is selected in first drop down and 'test5' is selcted in the second drop down.
if suppose again first dorp down selection is changed to 'technical documents' in the second drop down i am getting the bellow values.
test1
test2
test3
test5
already existing value on the screen is reflecting at the end.
but i have to get
test1
test2
test3 only
hope i am clear .
kindly sugest the solution.

Assuming your problem is related to custom/z development, i guess abaper might be able to help. In the program clear the internal tables before displaying the values.

Lookup two objects list values in one object are not in the other object

I have two sources of reference numbers that ties our whole system together. Let's call them RefCodeSystemA and RefCodeSystemB. I would like to build a webi report that shows the Values in RefCodeSystemA that a NOT in RefCodeSystemB. I can easily find out the matching ones but not the NON matching onces?
Any suggestions on a simple query to do this?

Hope you can use the Minus at the Query pannel.
We have Union,Intersection,Minus hence you can get it from that.

Me21n change line item dropdown list value

hi experts,
i have a requirement to automatically remove the aulty po line item when user click on CHECK or SAVE button, i done this by removing the record from ETT[] and POT[] at ENHANCEMENT-POINT mm06ef0p_pruefen_01 SPOTS es_mm06ef0p_pruefen INCLUDE BOUND.
it is working fine except one scenario which is, if the faulty line item is 00020, and the line item dropdown list is selected line item 20, after i removed the record from POT[], it hits abap runtime error. when i check at debugger, it is caused by system will look for line item 00020 ( follow dropdown list value ) but the record is removed, so come to error... it is working fine if the dropdown list is selected line item 10.
so i am looking for a way to change the dropdown list value.
or you all have some other suggestion?
please help... i need it urgently coz i have been solving the problem for 2 weeks....

Hi,
generally it's not a good idea to delete item without using standard method. You can see one example why it is usually complicated. Maybe I have a workaround for you. You can try to use BADI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST. There is a method CHECK where you get reference to PO header. You can easily get references to your items by calling method GET_ITEMS. So you will perform your check for each item and for wrong items you will call method INVALIDATE. This item will be marked as invalid and it will not be posted. Here I do not know how it will be displayed to user. Maybe the user will have to delete this item manually.

Q: Creating a drop list with dynamic content?

Like to start off by saying that I am new to this so be gentle...
I want to create a JSP which contains a search form.
To limit the search options I want to present some of
them as drop lists with pre-defined values.
As the drop list values need to be easiliy updated
I want to be able to control the content (using a servlet or a JB).
What would be the best way of implementing this?
Examples would be helpful.

Change values of drop down list when other drop-down list value is clicked

I look for my requirement very much but I can't find. I think it must be very simple but I can't do it, please help :
I have to custom added fields. Both of them is made drop-down list by picklist defined in GET_P...methods.
When I click and select a value from the first drop-down list, I want that second drop-down values are fully changed, depend on what I select in the first list. If I select my value and press enter in the first drop down box, I can do my requirement with GET_V...method. But if I don't press enter, the values of second list doesn't change, they remain same. I want exactly that when I click and select a value from first drop-down list, second drop-down list values are automatically change, dependent on what selected. Do I have to define and event?? where and how, please help me..

You must have created the field as a dropdown using the below code in the get_p method.
CASE iv_property.
    WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter~fp_fieldtype.
        rv_value = cl_bsp_dlc_view_descriptor=>field_type_picklist.
ENDCASE.
Here you need to add the below lines of code along with the previous code. for the first dropdown value
IF iv_property = if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_server_event.
    rv_value = 'DDLB_CLICK'.
ENDIF.
This would refresh the screen when the user selects any value from the dropdown.

We are using ZCI type of form. So, I dont think there is any need to run the report for ZCI_Update.
And the display type of Interactive Form in ABAP WebDynpro is 'NATIVE' which is the same we dragged the control from (WebDynpro Native).
Is there any work around to display search helps on ADOBE Interactive forms apart of this control?

Change default value "Number of Search Results" - Component PPM_DYNSEARCH

Hi Gurus,
I am new to SAP CRM WebUI development and hope you can help me on following problem.
In Pipeline & Performance Management we want to change the default value for the search results from 100 to 1000.
SAP CRM 7.0
Component: PPM_DYNSEARCH
View: PPM_DYNSEARCH/Filter
I have already tried to solve this via following solution:
1) Assign parameter SEARCH_MAX_HITS to a parameter profile in the following IMG and set his value to 1000:
CRM >> UI Framework >> Technical role definition >> Define parameters.
2) Then, assign your parameter profile to your business role:
CRM >> UI Framework >> Business role >> Define business role.
However this works for all initial search screens but not for Pipeline and Performance Management.
Can anyone give me a short hint how I can set the max number of search results from 100 to 1000 in the PPM Screen.

Seems like this is a normal edit page, not a search page.
Keep a break point at this code in the HTML page.

                           type      = "INTEGER" />\
Change lv_display_max_hits in debugging and see if that brings in the value on the UI.
Normally for a search page there will be a THTMLB attribute maxHits where we pass the value. But in your case it is a normal view.

hi in search page i have two drop down list. i have two tables and one mapping tables. service line and subservice line are tables and i have one mapping table. using rapid application i create one component using mapping table. now in search page i have two drop list. one is servline and another is sub serviceline. in service line i have values like 1,2 k for subservice 3,4.5,6 for one service line ex. for 1 i have two subservice 3,4 and for 2 i have 5,6. now my requirment in if i choose service line 1 in first drop down list, automatically in second drop down list want to contain values 3, 4. before both the drop down list have values.if i chose one value the correponding mapping value want to come in drop down list in same context node.

This requirement involves defining p-getter for the service type, and the v-getter of you sub type.
Since this involves to populate the values of subtype attribute depending on value of service type, u need a round trip.
This is done in the p-getter of the 1st attribute(service type in your case).
In the v-getter of the 2nd attribute, 1st fetch the current value of attribute 1, then filter the value in the dropdown table according to ur logic.

Crystal report Chose from List or drop down value in parameter from UDT

I had face a issue while creating a report for my client in crystal report , I had create a report and in the parameter field I want to select the value from the chose from list or drop down value from the User define table.
In parameter had written field as : Code@Select * from dbo. [@UDT] ; but in the report filled I am not able to select the value.

You cannot put all the values in a single parameter field so you need to select each field for each parameter...

Adding Drop Down List values from table fields

Hi all,
Recently we have switched from Microsoft's Infopath to Adobe's LiveCycle Designer. In InfoPath i was able to allow a user to enter data in a table and then use that data as values for a drop downlist, which could in turn be used in another table. Infopath made it relatively easy to do this, but I assume it requires scripting in LiveCycle. Here is an example that make make it easier to to explain:
Let's say we have a form with a table that has a colomn where the user can enter a value in a table let's say "Computer Name":
Computer Name | IP | Vendor | Serial Number|
PC 1
---------------------| 192.168.2.34| HP | US4839494
PC 2
PC 3
PC 4
Further down the form there is a nother table with a drop down list. I want the values of the drop down list to be what ever values were entered for "Computer Name" in the previous table. So in this case the table would look like this:
Computer Name | Acquisition Date| End of Life Date
<Drop DownList>| 07/21/2010 | 07/21/2014
The drop downlist values would be "PC1, PC2, PC3, PC4" or whatever values were entered in the previous table. Essentially, I am trying to avoid from having users type in "Computer Name" data every time the "Computer Name" needs to be entered. It would be so much easier to enter all "Computer Name" values and then use those values as part of a drop down list to avoid excessive typing.
I hope this makes sense, it is fairly easy to do in InfoPath and I am sure there is a way to do this in LiveCycle.

Thanks for the feedback, but it doesn't seem to quite accomplish what I am trying to do. I've tried using global binding as you specified, but the outcome is not exactly what I want. Perhaps this drawing can help depict what I am trying to do:

Problem in sending drop down list value to jsp page showing null value

i am trying to send a drop down list value from client side to a jsp page but getting null value
