Change values of drop down list when other drop-down list value is clicked
Hi Gurus,
I look for my requirement very much but I can't find. I think it must be very simple but I can't do it, please help :
I have to custom added fields. Both of them is made drop-down list by picklist defined in GET_P...methods.
When I click and select a value from the first drop-down list, I want that second drop-down values are fully changed, depend on what I select in the first list. If I select my value and press enter in the first drop down box, I can do my requirement with GET_V...method. But if I don't press enter, the values of second list doesn't change, they remain same. I want exactly that when I click and select a value from first drop-down list, second drop-down list values are automatically change, dependent on what selected. Do I have to define and event?? where and how, please help me..
Hi,
You must have created the field as a dropdown using the below code in the get_p method.
CASE iv_property.
WHEN if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter~fp_fieldtype.
rv_value = cl_bsp_dlc_view_descriptor=>field_type_picklist.
ENDCASE.
Here you need to add the below lines of code along with the previous code. for the first dropdown value
IF iv_property = if_bsp_wd_model_setter_getter=>fp_server_event.
rv_value = 'DDLB_CLICK'.
ENDIF.
This would refresh the screen when the user selects any value from the dropdown.

Radhika

when creating my own form... is there a way to to link multiple drop down fields to other drop down fields?
And in what program? You need to be more specific. Creating conditional forms is of course possible, but the procedures will depend on the actual program and target medium. HTML forms work differently from PDF...

I installed ios7 on my iPad 2 yesterday, this morning it wouldn't open the weather channel app. I thought maybe I should power it down. When I held down on the power button the screen went black and now it won't do anything. What do I do now?
Try a reset: Press and hold both Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.

Ipad drops streaming radio when other apps are in use
why does ipad drop streaming radio app when other apps are in use?
what can I do to prevent this, if anything?To rule out the app itself, try downloading another free radio app (CBC Canada, iFreeRadio, for example) and see if they behave the same way.
Background radio streaming should work fine - one of the types of apps that can truly run in background. -
ARD 3.6.1 will always beach ball until I force quit if I have a smart group or list created. It will launch fine if there hasn't been any type of List, Group, Scanner, or Smart List set. If I create one, it works fine until I relaunch the app. With no lists, I can relaunch fine. With a list, next relaunch beach balls. I can remedy the issue by trashing the user pref for ARD. But once I recreate a list...beach ball on relaunch.

0x7fff94210fff com.apple.It is common for ARD prefs to get corrupted. I have to convert mine to XML and edit them in BBedit regularly (I don't want to just trash them or I lose all my saved machines.) It's widely accepted that ARD has been basically abandoned by Apple (updated to keep running, but no bug fixes or new features) so we're going to have to live with this. Keep backups of your prefs!

I've been using Firefox for all my Internet needs, including selling on eBay. Until yesterday, I could do everything fine. Now, when I'm in My eBay and I click on a listing of mine, and then click "Revise" and then click "Change Variations" it goes nowhere... doesn't even act like it's trying (like maybe a little activity in the lower left: "connecting..." or something). I tried clearing history, cache, cookies, restarting browser, restarting Win7, nothing helped. Then, I opened IE and it did it just fine. Help! I don't want to have to abandon Firefox and revert to IE! Thanks! Joel

IChat does't display buddy list when opened & shuts down when opening prefs
I just did the software update and like some other people am having some problems. When I open iChat, the buddy list doesn't come up and I didn't see anything in the menu bars to open it. Also, when I open preferences the program just shuts down before prefs opens. Please help me out if you know how to fix it! Thanks
Go to Users/(your account)/Library/Preferences and delete com.apple.ichat.plist.

Shut down bug when other users are logged in
G'day all
I've jut noticed a shut down bug with Leopard. If I try to shut down and another user is active I have to type in a name and password etc. If I do this and click the Shutdown button I get an error message " invalid user name or password - please try again". If I hit "return" it shuts down.
Trivial but a bug none the less.
Cheers
SteveHI,
Might just be a corruped preference file.
Locate this file.
com.apple.loginwindow.plist
MacintoshHD/Library/Preferences.
Move that file to the Trash and restart your Mac.

Do i need to drop index even when i drop data in data target
Hi ,
I am having a PC and i am dropping entire data in my data target. do i still need to add drop index to my process chain.
Can any one tell me what extactly happens if i drop data in a data targets and what happend if i drop the index? which tables it will be affecting.
Thanks,
Ram.Since you are dropping the whole table then there is no need to keep the index, deleting indexes is necessary only if you are loading data to the cube which has already data so that performance of data load won't be affected. Every time when you have data and don't delete the index, each record need to align properly with the existing indexes which will slow down data load, but if you delete indexes then no time will be spent on aligning exact position of the data and recreating index at the end of the data load doesn't take much.
thanks.

Place Holder content when db is down
Hi,
We have a requirement like when db is down place holder should still display default content.
As place holder uses AdServiceCache to cache query and corresponding content it should work even when DB is down
but when i bring down point base server its not displaying any image( it even hits AdServiceCache but does not display anything).
Can any one please help.
Thanks.Sorry if this seems brute force, but if you're stuck...
You could write your own tag that itself uses the placeholder tag, but only if the db is up.
For example, you could use com.bea.p13n.ad.AdHelper to determine if your content is even retrievable (e.g. db is up or down) and if so, use the placeholder tag, otherwise have your custom tag generate your own default content instead.
See AdHelper at:

Popup instead of list when using WD4A ALV Grid Drop Down By Key
I am develop a WD4A application and I am using an ALV grid. I have set the cell editor for one column wiht the following code:
CREATE OBJECT lr_ddbk
EXPORTING
SELECTED_KEY_FIELDNAME = 'ZCURRENCY'.
Data: lv_key_visable TYPE abap_bool,
lv_key_visible_fieldname TYPE string.
lr_ddbk->set_type( if_salv_wd_c_uie_drdn_by_index=>type_key_value ).
* lv_key_visable = lr_ddbk->GET_KEY_VISIBLE( ).
* lv_key_visible_fieldname = lr_ddbk->GET_KEY_VISIBLE_FIELDNAME( ).
* lr_ddbk->SET_KEY_VISIBLE( abap_false ).
lr_alv_column->SET_CELL_EDITOR( lr_ddbk ).
This code works fine. I then fill the drop down with the following code:
*...Build the currency drop down list
DATA lv_default_currency TYPE wdr_context_attr_value.
DATA lv_currency_count TYPE STRING.
DATA ls_tcurt TYPE tcurt.
CLEAR ls_contextvalue_set.
CLEAR lt_contextvalue_set. REFRESH lt_contextvalue_set.
CLEAR lv_default_currency.
loop at it_ac_attr into ls_ac_attr.
if ls_ac_attr-attr_id eq 'CUR'.
select single * from tcurt into ls_tcurt
Where spras = 'EN' AND
waers = ls_ac_attr-value.
If sy-subrc = 0.
ls_contextvalue_set-value = ls_ac_attr-value.
ls_contextvalue_set-value = ls_ac_attr-value.
ls_contextvalue_set-text = ls_tcurt-ktext.
IF ls_ac_attr-DFT_FLAG = 'X'.
lv_default_currency = ls_contextvalue_set.
ENDIF.
append ls_contextvalue_set to lt_contextvalue_set.
endif.
Endif.
endloop.
lo_nd_zebuy_describe_item_info = lo_nd_zebuy_describe_item->get_node_info( ).
lo_nd_zebuy_describe_item_info->set_attribute_value_set(
exporting
name = 'ZCURRENCY'
value_set = lt_contextvalue_set ).
*...End build currency drop down list
This code works fine. The issue I am having is that the drop down is behaving like a search help field rather than a drop down list. Meaning a popup comes when I drop down the list. The popup has the values I have set. I don't want a popup I want a drop down list. Additionallly the field is editable (meaning I can type a value into the field as well as select a value). I want the user to only be able to select values from the list. Any help with this issue would be appreciated.I fugured out what I was doing wrong. I was setting the cell editor to cl_salv_wd_uie_input_field later in the code by mistake.

BHOLD Default Supervisor not showing up in drop down list when trying to add a role.
Hi All,
I am trying to add a new role to one of my BHOLD installations, and when I do that I do not have a "default supervisor role" listed in the drop down. A supervisor role is required to be able to create a role. I am performing the operation as a
B1 admin with the default supervisor role.
In another installation I can do it just fine. I have found no delta between the two as far as permissions are concerned. Anyone have an idea? Thanks.Matt,
Do you have a large number or roles, as in >500, maybe 1000s? I have seen an issue where a customer had 1000s of roles. There are some SPROCs that look for top 500 or something similar. I think a workaround was to change the SPROCs, not saying your should
do that necessarily but I believe that is what they did to get around this. -
Error message when populating drop-down list with mysql DB
Hi everyone,
i'm having an error message which gives zero result on google...
here's the context: i have a drop-down list called "Patient" in the template pages of a livecycle form. The binding is set to Global so that the value is the same on the two pages of the form. I have also linked the items of the list to a mysql database (with DataConnection) by clicking the "Specify Item Values" link on the Binding tab of the element.
now, when i open my form (or preview) i get this message, in french:
"Propriété incorrecte de l'opération SET; dataGroup ne possède pas de propriété id."
which is, in english (personal translation):
"Incorrect property of the SET operation; dataGroup doesn't have an id property."
this message appears in a messagebox, the background is empty (standard gray color)
Then i click "OK" (which is the only button available), and my form appears, the list is populated with the values of my database table, so it actually works...
As i said, i have zero results on google with this message...
any idea what it means and how to avoid it?
Thanks!Hi,
For all things XFA Forms and Databases there is no place better than Stefan Cameron's blog: http://forms.stefcameron.com/.
Have a look here: http://forms.stefcameron.com/2006/12/18/databases-inserting-updating-and-deleting-records/ and at comment 60.
Good luck,

Require field be filled out when other field values change
I tried to search on something I need to do but couldn't come up with a combination of words to find much.
I have a situation where, when certain field values on a form are changed, I need a comment field filled in. So if one of the designated field values change and the comment field is NOT filled in, I would like some kind of message indicating that the comment field must be filled in when that field is changed. This would preferably happen when the 'Update' button is pushed on the form. And this would need to happen before the data is submitted.
This seems to be somewhere between a validation and a Dynamic Action. I'm not sure how to go about creating what I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully I have described the scenario well enough.
Thanks!
JohnThis did the trick! I created the hidden item, then created a dynamic action that would set the value of the hidden item to 1 if the field changed (action = 'change'). Then I created a validation on my 'comments' field to check if it was NOT NULL when the 'Apply Changes' button was pushed, with a condition of the hidden item = 1.
One thing extra - I had to set the dynamic action so that it did NOT fire on page load. Otherwise it would set the hidden item to 1 when the page loaded after clicking the "Apply Changes' button.
So, thanks!
One other question - I have a lot fields on this form. All of them have this requirement except for a few buttons. Is there any way to list the fields NOT to look for a change. In other words, in the Dynamic Action section, in the WHEN section, is there a way to designate items NOT to look for a change?
Thanks for the help!

I am using windows 7 ultimate. I am on the latest firefox release.
When I want to print, the drop down window opens with "fax" listed. I scroll down to my printer, I click on it, but immediately reverts to the "fax" option. It will not hold my printer.Try to reset the print prefs on the about:config page.
