Change Rows displayed in report

I Have few reports which I wish to show ALL returned rows in a single page (HTML), however I can not find a way to change the number of rows returned other then a Registry edit for all reports.  Is htere a way to configure a single report to display
all rows returned?

Hi A.Fisher,
According to your description, you have a few SSRS reports, when users run the reports, they need to click Next Page to view data on the next page. You hope to display all the records of each report in a page.
In Reporting Services, pagination in interactive renderers (HTML, Webforms ReportViewer, Report Manager Preview, and Winforms ReportViewer control) is designed to work differently from that of physical page export formats (print, Image, PDF). Interactive
pagination is designed and optimized for screen-based viewing, so the engine ends up dynamically changing the size of the "page" on the screen in order to provide the best experience. In this case, we can achieve your goal by setting height of Interactive
size to 0, please refer to following steps:
Click outside of the report body.
In Properties window, in page section, set height of InteractiveSize to 0in.
The following screenshot is for your reference:
If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Changing the default number of rows displayed in a interactive report

    Hi,
I have a sql query based interactive report but i cant change the default number of pages i.e 15.
is there any way to change the number of rows displayed.
    Thank you,
    rakesh

    Hi,
That was very useful document that you shared, yes that is correct we can so it this way but there is another way doing it where in if you go to the report attribute section and in that there is Layout and Pagination and under
that you can fix the number of rows, and over there we can also accept values from page item such as if the page item value changes the number of rows displayed in the report changes dynamically.
In my report i get only pagination but not a option for layout.
    Any help will be appreciated.
And also where i can get the links to the similar document that you have shared ?

  • Possible to exclude interactive report column from single row display?

hi -- I have an interactive report that I've added a column to (in addition to the table columns that are selected).
The added column is a link to a form for editing a single row. This column/link is in addition to the default link
that goes to a single row view. So, a row of the report has 1) the single row view link, 2) the Edit link,
    3) the columns in the table.
The edit link column is named "Edit" (so Edit appears above the "pencil" link icon). Problem is that when the
user goes to the single row view, the Edit column is displayed. (I've set the label in the view to a blank space,
and the value is null (displayed as "-" in the single row view)... but it's generally ugly, and adds that nonsensical
line to the single row view.
Is there any way to never display that column in the single row view, but always display it in the report?
I've considered putting the edit link on the first column of the table... but I don't like that the link will move
if the user changes the column order. It seems it should always be at the left of the row, like the single row view
    link.
    Thanks,
    Carol

Please disregard this thread. I see a flaw in the design of what I was attempting to do! Creating the link for Editing as a column means the user could inadvertently not display it, or move it, or... any number of problematic scenarios.
    Thanks,
    Carol

  • Number of rows displayed per page in an interactive report

    Hi,
I'd like to know if it's possible to change the values of the select list called 'Rows' in an interactive report (which is displayed in the search bar).
    Indeed, I want to display 16 rows per page and I can only choose among the values 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 50, 100, 200...
    Thank you for your reply.
    Emilie.

    Hi Tobias,
    Thank you for your help.
I had already tried this but it's not what I want. What your are saying only limits the values in the select list (for example, if I set to 16, I can't choose values higher than 16 in the select list 'Rows' of the search bar).
I want to limit the number of rows displayed in the interactive report to 16 per page.
    Any other idea?
    Emilie.
    Hi Emilie,
    Go: Home>Application Builder>Application 301>Page 51>Interactive Report Attributes>Search Bar>Maximum Rows Per Page
    Set to = 16

  • How to display all rows in the report in one page in Oracle APEX 3.2

    Friends -
We are using Oracle Applications Express 3.2 on oracle database 10.2.0.5 on solaris environment.
One of our report contains total no of rows 50000. when we ran report by default it is showing 15 and i can go search and change display no of rows to different numbers and click go.
My question is it possible to display all 50000 rows during first time report launching without going to change rows. Is there any option that we can set how many number of rows that we can display during report design.
    Please advise
    VSH

    Hello VSH,
    >> My question is it possible to display all 50000 rows during first time report launching without going to change rows
As vee pointed out it is possible, however the question you need to ask yourself is is it wise?
Bear in mind that displaying 50,000 rows on a single HTML page means a lot of code that must be loaded by the client browser all at once. What it will do to your page loading time? Browser memory? Network bandwidth? Also, do you really believe that it is effective to let an end user look for a specific row among 50,000 rows?

    Arie.

  • Classic Report limit the number of rows displayed

    Hi All,
In my application I have a classic Report which show the data of a simple query. For lay-out reasons I want to limit the number of display to 5 instead of the default 15. I've looked in several forums and they told me that I have to set the number of rows in the report attributes.
But it did not what I want. I'm Using APEX 4.1.0 on a Oracle 11G database
My question is: How can I limit the maximum number of rows in a classic SQL Report.

My question is: How can I limit the maximum number of rows in a classic SQL Report. To display 5 rows per page set the report's Number of Rows attribute to *5*.
However, pagination settings get cached for the duration of the session. For this change to be instantly visible, either log out, restart the brower, and log in again, or manually re-request the page from the browser address bar, adding 'RP' in the ClearCache position in the URL.

  • Conditional display of report row

    Hi All,
I've a report form and have a LOV for a column. Based on the data selected in the LOV I need to populate some more rows to that report.
It is basically like a survey page where depending on the answer provided by the user, sub suvery question needs to be populated. For example if I select "Married" for maritial status another question should be populated asking for Spouse Name. All the queries are stored in a same table with Parent question ID to link Child question to Parent Question.
Any clue on how to do this.
    Thanks in advance
    Prasanth

    a. It is a report on table and one column is editable with a LOVThat is Tabular Form or Updatable report. Implies there is a ApplyMRU/ApplyMRD process to perform the update.

    b. APEX 4.1

The solution will depend on your database design. You may need to review in the light of the page design you will do.
I don't think I will get into the code for this as it will be fairly nifty and will require a study of your database design.
    At a high level:
    a. Create a table(s) for keeping your questions, say Questions.
    b. Next you need to decide how you want to store your "rules" for selecting questions based on prior responses. Rules may be built into the database design or external processing based on column(s) in the question rows.
    c. Create a table for Responses. Populate it with the mandatory questions.
    d. Base your Tabular form on the Responses table
    e. Each time a use makes a selection in a row's LoV submit the page to loop back on to itself.
    f. In OnSubmit processing, after the Responses table has been updated, add the relevant rows from your Questions table to the Responses table using your rules in a Page Process.
    h. When the Form is displayed again the new questions will be displayed as the corresponding rows have been inserted into the Responses table in the process referred to above.
Of course, you will need to write some more code for situations where a user goes back and changes the Lov of a prior question that affects related questions....
    Cheers,

  • How to set the number of rows displayed in a classical report at runtime?

    Hi,
Our customer has several standard client hardware configuration and would like to enable end users to choose their 'display profile' at login time. This 'display profile' would contain predefined values for these hardware configurations and supposed to set various paramters that should define the number of rows displayed in a classical report region.
I tried to provide parameters on the report region but it refused to accept anything but numerical values. Is it possible to do this?
    Regards, Tamas

The link is to the closest linkable point in the documentation to the description of the Number of Rows (Item) attribute.
It sounds like you have been trying to enter—unsuccessfully—an item name or substitution string into the Number of Rows attribute. The Number of Rows (Item) attribute is the one that actually allows you to do this. Click on the flashlight icon beside it to get a list of items from the application.

  • Number of Rows Displayed in a SQL Report Region

    Hi,
Just wondering whether it is possible to control the 'Number of Rows' displayed under the 'Layout and Pagination' section within the Report Attributes page.
Basically need to know if I can programmatically control this or even better, can it be customized by the user as the user may want to see say 15 rows, 200 rows or 'All' rows of a certain region on the page. FYI, I have three different report regions on one page and want to give the user the flexibility to modify the number of rows displayed per region.
    Thanks.
    Tony.

  • How to control number of rows displayed in a report  by user?

    Hi All!
I have provided a select list called 'Number of rows' in my report page.User can choose any number in the list, and accordingly he should be able to see so many number of rows in that report page.
For example: if user selects 50 from the list, he will be able to see 50 records at a time out of say 2000 records retrieved. I want to control number of rows displayed per page dynamically. And if he selects 25 in the select list, he should be able to see 25 records at a time out of 2000.
How to do it? Please give me ideas.
    Thanking in advance.
    Regards,
    Deepika.

    Hi Deepika,
If you have a Select List with Submit called, say "P1_ROWS", you just enter P1_ROWS into the Report Attribute's "Number of Rows (Item)" setting.

  • Change row's color in report painter

    Hi all!!!
anybody knows how change row's color in report painter,
    for example
    number   name        |  money
       7020   payments1 | 100.00
       7021   payments2 | 200.00
        summary            |  300.00
    change color of row  "7020   payments1" and "7020   payments1"
    Regards!!!

    Hi,
For it, first place the cursor on the row and choose Formatting > Row. In the next dialog box, select a color (for totals, subtotals, inserted rows, or for emphasis). The system assigns a color based on the selection you make here.

  • How to display all the rows in a report

How will it be possible to show all the rows in a report, in a table view , other than modifying the table properties for each report individually ?
Is there some setting, so that for all tabular reports, all the rows will be displayed in one page?
I have added the following to the instanceconfig.
    <Table>
    <ResultRowLimit>1000000</ResultRowLimit>
    <MaxCells>1920000</MaxCells>
    <MaxVisiblePages>1000</MaxVisiblePages>

    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>2000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDelivery>
    <DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>64000</DefaultRowsDisplayedInDownload>
    </Table>
Still I can view only 25 rows for the report.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
Open your report--> Select Table view--> Edit view properties-->Row per page --> Give here 9999999.

If you are generating a PDF output, select "PDF Compression" option in the properties. Ensure you reduce all the log levels to "Low". Ensure there are no (or minimal) calculations/formulas in the report template.
