Change Symbol Position on Mouse RollOver, Add Points

Hello,
     I am just starting Flash CS3, and I would like some assistance with a game.
     In my game, a symbol (movieclip?) is inserted somewhere in the stage randomly. If you hover over it, it changes position automatically.
     I converted my target into a MovieClip, and made it possible to export for ActionScript.
     I put this in the ActionScript Class file
     class Target extends MovieClip
     I can't find the code I need to
          1) make target a button, graphic, or movieclip
          2) make the target randomly appear on the screen when frame is loaded
          3) make the target randomly move to a different place when hovered over
          4) make a score variable, and make it go up each time the target is hovered over.
     I have an idea of how to do #4, something like
     var score;
     function OnLoad ()
     score = 0
     function onEnterFrame ()
     score=+1 if {code for hover over symbol}
I would greatly appreciate any help.
Thank you,

  • Regarding changing the position of filter in overlap add

    Hello,
    I have overlap add filter. I am asked to change the position of the filter with the output . Move filter either side, its like tuning the output using the filter. I have no idea on how to start this initially. Please help me in this.

    Hello Sir,
    I am sorry for uploading wrong file. I did not see this till today. I am uploading it. Please go through it.
    I have a filter. 1's represent the portion of filter and 0's represent LOW of filter. Now, I want to move the filter as shown with arrows in diagram. I know the concept. Its by shifting 1's and 0's either side to move the filter. But, I am confused about how to do it.
    Please help me with this.

  • Is it possible to change the position of beining of text in a standard report

    Hi,
         I am wondering wether it is possible to change the position of the test (the starting point) in a standard report. I would like to print a label with different texts at different positions. If its not possible in a standard report is there any other way to do it.
    Thank you,
    Mudda.

    Hi Mudda, I don't see any way myself to set any particular starting position for your text. It looks like the best way to emulate this behavior would be to add a new line with lots of tab characters or spaces to place your new text at a specific offset from the left. You can also use Append Table to Report and wire in a 2D string array with only a few positions filled in with your various text labels as shown below. This will space text labels pretty well across the page. Try it out and see if it works for you. You could be more clever and build the 2D array programmatically if you wanted more control over position.

    You can use whatever tool you prefer - for someone already using emacs, emacs is a natural choice. Simple, easy to use online tools exist e.g. http://schneegans.de/sv/
    Just upload the file in question ('Validate by file upload' option) and click 'Validate':

    Googling 'xml validation' should give you some more tools / services if this one is not good enough.

  • Moving Position of Mouse

    I am relatively new to Captivate. I have a few movies that
    were recorded in Captivate. I have a few slides that show clicking
    the scroll bar along the right side of the screen. When I edit the
    slides and try to move the position of the mouse, I find that I
    cannot put it as far right as it had been when it was captured. As
    a result, the cursor looks like it is clicking the area just left
    of the scroll bar. I have found that if I change the mouse pointer,
    some are smaller and allow me to position further to the right, but
    I have a few places where that isn't far enough. Is there a way to
    move the position. It seems like Captivate has a fixed page
    boundary and nothing can extend off the edge of the page.

    Mike,
    this is one of the frustrating things about Captivate, is
    that you cannot position the mouse freely, as it remembers the
    position of the mouse from the last area recorded.
    A work around is to import a small mouse pointer as a
    separate image and copy the background of the slide with the
    problem and paste the background into a new blank slide. then
    import the mouse pointer image, although you will not see it move,
    but it will be whee you want it to be.
    Just search mouse pointer in google images for a small .gif
    or .png. You could also flip the image to have it point to the
    right and not the left which would reach right to the right hand
    edge of the slide.

  • How can i change the position and size of the applet

    dear fellows,
    how can i change the position and size of the applet in which form is running over the web.
    thanx
    Mochoo

    Yes, you can add the following line to your formsweb.cfg section :
    HTMLbodyAttrs=onLoad='javascript:self.moveTo(100,100)'
    if you are in SEPERATEFRAME = FALSE
    Or Set_Window_Property( FORMS_MDI_WINDOW, POSITION, X, Y ) ;
    if you are in SEPERATEFRAME = TRUE

  • When I change the position of the bookmarks button it always jumps to the same position (in the bookmarks bar). How can I make it stay where I want it to?

    When I try to change to position of the symbol for the bookmarks it doesn't matter where I put it, always when I click on "Finish" the button jumps back in the middle of the bookmarks bar, right of the bookmarks and left of two addons (FoxyTunes and Forecastfox).

    Sorry, that specific Bookmarks button ''(with the drop-marker down arrow or '''bookmarks''' word)'' is tied to the Bookmarks Toolbar when it is shown, and only appears when the Menu bar is hidden and the Firefox button is showing. It is not a "regular" toolbar button.
    There is the original Bookmarks button, in the Customize Palette, which toggles the Bookmarks Sidebar view. It will stay where you put it on the Toolbars.

  • How do you change the position of email sender so that it's on the left (sender[from], subject and date received)

    How do you change the position of email sender so that it's on the left (sender[from], subject and date received)

    In the Thread Pane where your messages are listed?
    You see that bar with the labels "From", "Subject", "Date" and so on? Well, they are buttons. You can click on them to sort your messages. You can also drag them with the mouse left and right to reposition them, and you can drag their ends to change the column widths.
    These are standard computer actions; you can do all of this in Windows Explorer ("My Computer") too.
    In Thunderbird, a right-click on any of these buttons will reveal a pop-up menu where you can select and deselect the columns to control what is shown.

  • Dreamweaver CC fluid grid, can I change the position of DIV's based on Mobile, Tablet, Desktop view?

    Hi all,
    Currently working on my first Dreamweaver CC fluid grid / responsive site. I want to optimise the pages layout for Mobile, Tablet and Desktop.
    I can see that I can hide individual div elements by adding "display: none;" to the mobile media query code in the CSS.
    I am wondering am I able to change the position of DIV's in relation to the order of each other some how using a similar way?
    Eg I have a webpage design for desktop like.
    Title
    Nav
    Description
    Buy Button
    Photo
    On mobile I'd like to be able to bring that Photo up towards the top of the layout eg.
    Title
    Nav
    Photo
    Description
    Buy Button
    I was hoping those up and down arrows you see in the Dreamweaver CC interface was going to some how make the changes to each view Mobile, Tablet, Desktop, but all that is doing is moving the position of code in the HTML amoung each of the main DIV sections.
    Or am I at the point where I will need to create a seperate page for mobile only to make a layout change like this?
    Any help would be great

    Hi Complexity,
    I have got some further info, and if I have lead you astray I am sorry.
    I don't think you can change the order of the divs in a responsive layout in DW CC.
    However, you can arrange the divs to sit under or beside each other differently in each of the layouts, for pc, tablet or phone.
    You can also switch divs off and on in each of the layouts, having them display in one size screen and not in another.
    So what you would need to do is to create a couple of nav divs, if you want a nav at the top of one type of screen and one at the bottom. You could duplicate the content in both of them and switch one on in one layout and one off in the other.
    I hope this helps!
    I am doing my first layout for a client using DW CC responsive layouts. I have done two test/hobby sites already.
    It is a bit of a mission learning it but I am getting there.
    I do find it interesting that most people recommend using other programs to do responsive rather than Dreamweaver's fluid grid layouts. I don't think many people are using it yet.

    Hi saran1988
    Using Vision Express VIs have there own limitations.
    Setting up a manual ROI in express VI is difficult.
    Why dont you use the VI attached in my first post?
    All you have to do is put the code inside your producer consumer loop and add "IMAQ Clear Overlay.vi."

  • How to make a mouse rollover showcase

    Here is the image of what i'm looking for. http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/1180/servicek.jpg
    What i want is, when i move my mouse to square 1, it will go to Services,  when i move to square 2 it will go to News etc.
    i had tried
    number1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoTonews);
    function fl_ClickToGoTonews(event:MouseEvent):void
        MovieClip(this.root).gotoAndStop(1, "news");
    number2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoTonews);
    function fl_ClickToGoTonews(event:MouseEvent):void
         MovieClip(this.root).gotoAndStop(1, "service");
    etc.
    This code was working, but i could only moved forward, not backward, otherwise Duplicate funtions error (something like that) shows up.
    number 1 = Square 1 (Button)
    number2 = Square 2  (Button)
    news and service = the content i would go to when mouse rollover.

    The problem is as the error messages indicate.  You are using the same function name for two entirely different functions.  You cannot do that.  You need to change one of them, and the logical choice is to change the second....
    number1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoTonews);
    function fl_ClickToGoTonews(event:MouseEvent):void
        MovieClip(this.root).gotoAndStop(1, "news");
    number2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, fl_ClickToGoToservice);
    function fl_ClickToGoToservice(event:MouseEvent):void
         MovieClip(this.root).gotoAndStop(1, "service");

    </style>This is one form of a class of CSS Image Replacement techniques.
    Notice the excruciating performance in IE compared with Safari/Chrome. This can be fixed using the CSS Sprite technique (as used in APEX 4.0 built-in themes).
    If such links are to be used as navigation elements in an APEX application, do it using a list with a custom template and CSS.

  • Can clips retain last playhead position and in and out points like v7?

    Is there a setting that will enable the clips to retain the last playhead position and in and out points so that I don't have to find the place I left off at every time I go to that Clip? Basically how FCP 7 worked.
    Vince

    This is another area that's lacking in this great application, I'm afraid - but there are ways to keep the 'in and out' points at least.
    When you have marked them you simply press 'F' to mark your selection as a favourite. Then if you click the green bar that appears, your selection will immediately be highlighted.
    Alternatively, add keywords to your selection - then when you click the keyword collection in the event browser, the clips will be displayed, already trimmed.
    A third way is to trim away the unwnated footage in your clip. Lets say you have a long clip and you want to make multiple clips from it. You don't want the first three seconds of the clip and you also don't want the last one second . . . (follow this carefully - it works)!
    Move the playhead to your IN point and press the 'O' key (yes the 'O' key).
    Now press the backspace key and your clip is trimmed to the 'in' point. Now scroll to the out point and press the 'I' key (that's right). Move the playhead to the 'in' point of your next clip and press 'O'.
    Press Backspace and your clip stands on its own for all time.
    (You can even mark one frame 'Out' and the very next frame 'In' and this will work - you don't lose any frames).
    Sorry I can't help you with retaining the playhead position.
