Change text in Exception  report

Hello,
I have created a exception report. When I move the mouse pointer over one of the figures that have an exception value, the text below the pointer pops up and reads either, good1, bad7 or medium 4 depending on the value and the exception it is pulling.
Is there any way that i can restrict it from showing this text? Or can I change the text that is shown when i move the pointer on top of that figure?
Thanks
Sam

You have to change the Default Workbook template in the Global Settings of BEx Analyzer. You might have to do this directly in production environment.
Open up a query in BEx Analyzer. Change the logo or add the logo and any information you want to default in all reports. Save as a workbook and then click on global settings to set that workbook as a default.
The below link gives you detailed step by step method to create default templates.

  • Change Texts on the Submit Expense Report Screen

    Hi all,
I've tried to introduce a text using new functionality provided in last upgrade "Change Texts on the Submit Expense Report Screen" in order to be displayed when an expense report is sent for approval, but it doesn't work.
Do you know if this functionality is working? If it is working properly, could you explain me how I have to configure this to display the text?
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi Héctor,
just checked it in the test system - it works fine. Please note that these settings may be country version spesific. To change the text:
open the fine tuning activity 'Change Texts on Submit Expense Report Screen'
click 'Add Row' in General Use block - new row added and a country version can be selected (if active), this field can be also empty - then the entry is relevant for generic country version. Optionaly provide a description.
click 'Create and Edit Texts'. Here the user can define a disclaimer text per language using 'Add Row' and entering the language as code (EN, DE etc)
at the end of activity save the changes using 'Save and Close'
Depending on country version and logon language the travelelr will see now specific dissclaimer text.
    Best regards,
    Alexander

  • Can't change text once I've finalized it!

I've been using Photoshop for years, so I know all the basics.  And I've never run into this before.  I created a document with text boxes and images.  Everything was fine to that point.  But when I went back to re-word the text boxes and change text color, I could not do it.  I tried everything:  be sure that layer is selected, be sure I have the type tool enabled, and click somewhere in the existing text.
Nothing doing.  No matter what I did, it insisted on starting a new text layer.  I could not access the text itself to change it.
I could transform it or move it but it will not let me change the text itself or the text color.
I'm using the PS cloud version and running Windows 7.
I ran into this a few weeks ago, and rebooting my computer solved the problem -- or so I thought.  Apparently it didn't solve it permanently.
Help, please!  This was due yesterday and my client is understandably not amused.
    Thanks.

Now I can change text in any text box except the one titled "spinetext", which is highlighted in the layers panel.  Obviously I'm doing something wrong, but I've designed a lot of these covers, and never had trouble changing the spine text before.
I finally had to recreate that layer in a new document and import it into this one -- but the text remains unchangeable in this layer.
(For what it's worth, "Layer 1" is the template, which I turn off when I have inserted all the elements, so it has nothing to do with this layer.)
    Thanks for your help!

  • Creating an Exception Report with a Prompt

    All,
Having difficulties with this report, and I wanted to see if I'm trying to make it do too much.
    Report: Opportunities Exception Report
Prompt: List of exceptions we are tracking (ie...Custom Field #1 not populated, Source not populated, etc).
I tried to combine criteria to account for each exception (since each exception is based on a seperate field), but doing so prevents me from then adding a Prompt. I have also created individual reports to account for each exception. I'm wondering what the best approach would be to achieve the results I need?
    Is it possible to:
    1. Combine all individual exception reports (all have same columns, with first column hard-coded to identify which exception type that report contains) into one master exception report, with a prompt on the column that lists the exception type?
    2. Create a prompt to a master report that, when selected, applies exception criteria that is appropriate for what is chosen from the Prompt?
    3. Somehow work with a Master that that has all the exceptions built into the combined criteria, but still gives a Prompt to select which criteria you're wanting to see?
Thanks in advance for any/all help.
    Regards,
    JT

    Mike,
Thanks for your response. Looking at the suggestions you gave, the first two wouldn't work for this scenario because of what it is we're trying to do. Essentially, we're just trying to find the missing pieces of data that the Sales Team didn't enter in on an Opportunity. So every report is going to be like this:
    1. Show me ALL Opportunities that do not have field 1 populated. (Exception Type 1)
    2. Show me ALL Opportunities that do not have field 2 populated. (Exception Type 2)
    3. Show me ALL Opportunities that do not have field 3 populated. (Exception Type 3)
The report with combined analysis worked great in putting these exceptions into one report, but you're limited in what you can do with it.
I've toyed with the pivot table, but if have a drop down list of the exception types, can I then change the filter of the complete Opportunity list to be the just the one you select?
    Thanks again for your response,
    JT

    Hello,
If you see error descriptioon it gives access denied so basically it is because of some access issue.I guess You must be using some domin account for installation make sure it is  added as local administrator also instead of using NT Authority network
service  as SQL server service account use local system account .
    Below link would help
    http://serverfault.com/questions/212135/access-is-denied-error-installing-sql-server-2008-on-windows-7
You can also browse to setup.exe file and RK on it and select run as administrator

  • Problem with vertical text in crystal report viewer

    Hi,
I am displaying vertical text in crystal report designer and deploying the report in crystal reports server 2008. The deployed report is being displayed using JAVA in crystal report viewer control.
Problem: Vertical text header  is getting collapsed wth other vertical headers.
    Please help on this.
    Thanks,

    Hi Vijay,
I found out another method of retaining all the chart formatting that is done in the preview pane.
Once you have done all the changes then you will find interestingly there is a chart menu option that appears in the tool bar. Once you click on it there is an option "Apply Changes to All Charts".
Select that option, close your preview. Open it once again and you will find that all the settings are still there and the Web Viewer is able to display them properly.
I think that I resolved this.

  • Easy one I hope: How do I change text color?

For the life of me I can't seem to find anything with a color pallette (except for background fill). I need to change text color but don't know where to find it.  Everything's always black. When I highlight the text, and goto "Font", I see something that looks like the "Select Text Color" (like the one above but as soon as you mouse over it, it turns to a crossed-out "ABC", and can't get the pallette.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,
Question: Are these fields that you had changed the type of in the Object Pallet/Field Tab/Type ? If so, try deleting the object and put a new one in its place from the Object Library.
If no, what sort of parent do these items have? Table Row? or SubForm?
    Good luck!

  • Need custom column widths in Append Text Table to Report

I need to print reports with tables of different column widths specified for each column, as the contained fields vary in width from just 3 characters in one column to 40 characters in another.  Also we are trying to match the reports generated by a non-labview routine.  In the past I have been able to achieve this by editing the Append Table to Report vi, working my way through the inner hierarchy to replace the DBL numeric COLUMN WIDTH control with a DBL numeric array.  The innermost vi, Set Table Column Width, assigns the numeric to a property node in a for loop, so the change is simple: replace the scalor with an array and enable indexing on the for loop.  Of course, after each Labview upgrade, I've had to go back in and repeat these edits on the overwritten upgraded vi's.  This time there is a problem.  The new version of this toolkit is object oriented, and disturbing these vi's wrecks the class methods in a way I don't understand (mostly because I've had no dealings with object oriented programming) and which cannot be undone.  I recently tried this and after not being able to fix the problem even with phone support, I had to spend the next two days unistalling and reinstalling Labview!  I desperately need a way to achieve this functionality without killing the toolkit, which is used (in its original functionality) by another absolutely critical program.  PLEASE HELP!
    The hierarchy is as follows:
NI report.lvclass:Append Table to Report (wrap)
    NI report.lvclass:Append Table to Report
NI Standard report.lvclass:Append Text Table to Report
    NI Standard report.lvclass:tables
NI Report Generation Core.lvlibet Table Column Width

There is a highly relevant thread under discussion here:
    http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=features&thread.id=429
You may wish to read it and chime in as it is a discussion of LabVIEW's policy (and possible change in policy for the future) concerning the handling of non-palette VIs between LV versions.

I doubt that it is a simple fix -- our AEs are generally top notch at figuring out solutions for customers -- if it were simple, my bet is they'd have solved it. Asking an AE to work around a bug is different from asking them to rearchitect the toolkit. You are asking them to add a feature that the new version of the toolkit is not
designed to support. The difficulty in doing this is completely independent of the decision to use LabVIEW classes to implement the toolkit. If any piece of software is not designed with a particular use case in mind, what may be a simple tweak under one design may become a very hard problem under another design.
In your case, the solution is very straightforward: Use the older version of the toolkit. Any time you create a custom modification of the VIs that ship with LV or one of its toolkits, you should make your own copy and have your VIs link against the copy. LabVIEW promises to maintain all the public functionality version over version. Usually we succeed at that. What we do not promise is to maintain our private implementation of that functionality. It is impossible for LabVIEW (or any other software library) to maintain all of its private internal operations while still continuing any development. Using a copy of the original VIs shields you from having to recode your changes every version (something you've already mentioned is a chore) and it guarantees that functionality that you relie upon does not disappear.
I hope you are willing to be understanding of this situation and not hold it against the AEs working on this. They try hard to provide excellent customer service, and spend lots of time inventing custom solutions for our users.  This happens to be a situation where the correct fix is not to modify the new toolkit version to do something it wasn't designed to do but to modify your development process so that the problem is solved now and into the future.

  • Change text for radio button

    Hi all,
Can we change text of radio button in selection screen after pressing push button?
On screen, I will have push button for user to select one of two conditions, after selecting, I want radio button text be changed, for example : text > 'upload' will be changed to become 'upload sales'.
    can we?
    thanks
    Alia

    Hi alia,
    1. Very simple.
    2. The Important thing is
        NAME of the RADIO BUTTON.
    eg. name is XYZ.
then we can access it in program like this :
        %_XYZ_%_app_%-text = 'Hello Sir'.
(Please note the FORMAT - Its important)
    3. try this code (just copy paste in new program)
IT WILL CHANGE TEXT OF RADIO BUTTONS
      WHEN PUSHBUTTON IS CLICKED.
    REPORT abc.
PARAMETERS : abc  RADIOBUTTON GROUP g1,
                 xyz  RADIOBUTTON GROUP g1.
    SELECTION-SCREEN : PUSHBUTTON /15(25) pb USER-COMMAND pp .
    ABC, XYZ
    AT SELECTION-SCREEN .
      IF sy-ucomm = 'PP'.
        %_abc_%_app_%-text = 'Hello Sir'.
        %_xyz_%_app_%-text = 'How are u ?'.
      ENDIF.

  • Is it possible to add in a 250 character text field to report

    Hi Guys,
I am loading a BI ODS from an external datasource via a csv file.
the issue I have is that one of the fields that I want to load to the ODS is 250 characters long, the maximum length of a character is 60 length right?
What are my options or is there any way of showing this big 250 character field.
    Thanks,

    Hi
I know this is not you're asking but, if I were you I rather question the request; what are the reporting requirements? Even if it's technically possible to create a char 250 infoobject, how would you display in BEx, it won't fit the screen with key figures & keys. Also you can't possibly use this as nav attribute, unless you have a google type search that you can use wild chars! - i assume it will be a free format text. And if it's a free format text, you can't use it to make intelligent/statistical decisions, can't create exception reports/alerts etc.

  • Employee Working Continuous Hours Exception Report

    Dear Sir,
I am tasked to develop a Employee Continuous Hours Exception Report. An employee is allowed to work 24 hours in a day (2 shift) but must take the next day as rest day. I would like out to find out the employees that worked more than 24 hours in a Continuous.
Refer attached image as a sample
I would only like to pick the records highlight above in the image, because this is an example of the working more than 24 hours continuously.
If annyone can help me with SQL Script to produce the above report.

    Dear Visakh,
I just realized that the data of  the image presented above is wrong. The data should have been like this,
As you can see, the date is also shown in TimeFrom and TimeTo fields. Now with this change in data here is the script to create the similar table with data. Appreciate if you can use this table to assist we developing the sql stored procedure.

  • GRR3 report name changes when assigned to report group

I have define report title to be "expense report" in Grr3(both short/middle/long text), but when I execute it, I assigned it to one report group, in GR53, I found the report name is changed to "cash flow report", even I removed it and insert again, it still be cash flow report,,
The report result is fine, only the report title got this problem, anyone can solve it?

    1.Use transaction code: GRR2.
    2.Double click on the report
    3. Click on Extras,  Report Texts and then Select Headers
    4. Define your report title under headers.

  • MRP Exception report to send to SAP inbox

    Hello friends,
The MRP exception report comes to my outlook and these reports are huge in size. I want them to go to my SAP inbox instead of outlook. I have changed the communication method of my user setting from "INT E-MAIL" to "E-Mail" but it didn't solve the problem.
    Could you please help me?
    Thanks,
    Rana

    Hi Amit,
The issue is, when the MRP exception reports are generated, the reports come to my outlook. I want these reports to go directly to my SAP inbox without any manual intervention and I also do not want them to come to my MS outlook.
This works for other users and after doing a comparision with their user setting, I changed my communication method to 'E-Mail' but this didn't help me.
I think I could make myself clear. Please help me out if you have the solution.
    Thanks again,
    Rana.
