Change the attachment name in email via webservice

Hey,
is there any chance to change die filename of attacheted files (reports) using email scheduling? There is no option in the webinterface. We are using the webservice for scheduling - call the scheduleReport method.
There is a tag reportDataFileName for the webservice, but shows no reaction. The file ist every time named attachment.XYZ, where XYZ is the template format. We are using an XML Template for creating XLS reports, but reaching an attachment.xml makes it impossible for direct opening out of the email.
A second problem is the message for the email, attached as message.txt and not directly written in the email.

ABAP Email Sending Program: Change Display user name in email

Hi All,
I have developed an email sending program using function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1. It is working fine but there is requirement that when the customer receives email, in the display name of sender, there should be some fixed name. But here in this case it is picking the Sy-uname i.e. system user name who is triggering the program.
I also tried the FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1, but it only changes senders email address, and the requirement is to change the display name in email.

You will have to use ABAP class CL_BCS. With it you can specify the sender, both the address and the name.
          lv_smtp_addr = iv_senderaddress.
          lv_smtp_name = iv_sendername.

Changing the file name of a PDF you send via email

I am trying to find out how to change the file name of the attachment I send via email when I click submit via email. I would like the file to be sent with the file name, not some other file name.
How can I fix it? This is very urgent! I need HELP!

UMS Adapter - Get the attachment name of the incoming email

I'm trying to get the attachment name to identify its type (XML, PDF, etc) and save It with the proper name. However the schema generated by the UMS Adapter service does not provides helpful metadata information to achieve this.
Do you known an idea, a solution or a documentation to get the attachments name?

Yes Anuj, the UMS Adapter is in preview mode, we are testing it because seems solve in a good fashion our requirement, maybe this is a risk but finally is an evaluation.
How can I extract the content-type you mention? The payload transfered from the UMS Adapter to BPEL is like this:

HT1428 How to change the account name in Mac OS X via a command line. I did a type-o on the account name. So instead of it saying "Company" it says "Comany" for the account logon.

Both modems are on a same network or 2 different networks ? If on TWO networks, the printer can see 2 networks and on the setup menu you have to select the new network, enter security code (if any) then pick it as default.
Now your machines on the same network might see 2 logical printers, one offline and one online, the online is the one connected to the new modem.

Changing the column names displayed via an ODBC driver

Hi we are just starting to used Crystal Reports to improve the reporting capabaility of a legacy application, we can access the data fine using an ODBC driver. What we want to do is change the column names that are displayed within Crystal Reports so they are more user friendly and not in techno speak,, so that the users can create their own reports. Do we need to used Business Objects to setup a Universe to do this, is their a simple cheaper method sorry if this post is in the wrong section

Changing the sender name of WF-BATCH

I am new to workflow programming and looking for guidance on changing the sender name of the emails going (SENDMAIL activity) as WF-BATCH user.
I looked at the input from this group on similar question and understood that what I need to achieve can only be done via FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
I am unsure how to accomplish this if the email I am sending out needs to read the description captured in the task (whic is a dialog method) before this (TS01000140).
Can anyone give me inputs on how to achieve this?

Hi,
First of all, you might want to check class cl_bcs for sending emails. Basically your function will do the same but this class is a bit more functionality. Plenty of examples in SCN/Internet.
Whatever function/method you will choose to use, the idea is to develop a workflow method, and then call the email sending function/method from this method. Then you of course develop a task that will call your new method. Now, you will need certain parameters for the email sending function/method: subject, body text, recipient, etc. You need to either deliver these parameters for the method from your workflow container or build some additional logic to the workflow method. E.g. if your task TS01000140 gets the email text into the workflow container, then you need to bind it to your email sending task (and to the method) => you need to add this to your task container and then add it as a parameter to your method.
One additional hint: When building the custom logic, pay attention to email language. You want to deliver the emails in correct language, so the recipient language must be known before the email is sent...

There is something syntatically wrong with your config.xml. Try reverting back to the original, and try that. Then try modifying it again making sure to only change the packageName.

How can I retrieve emails that were deleted off my iPhone 4s when I changed the password to my email acccount?

I changed the password to my email account and when I changed it in my phone all of my emails were deleted Is there any way to retrieve them? They are in the server and I can access them via Outlook just not on my iPhone or iPad.

They won't be in icloud, since the only thing that would contain pictures are backups. But they were deleted before you signed up for icloud, so forget that. The only other thing to check is you computer. Users are always advised to sync photos to computers for archiving. If you did that, you should be able to find them there. But without any backups or copies of them, then they are history.
And no, you can't look at pictures in icloud.

At some point in the past, iCloud started identifying me as someone else when I send emails. This incorrect name appears to be the "Full Name" setting of the email account, but when modifying the properties for the email account in Mail the field for modifying the "Full Name" setting is disabled, not allowing me to make any changes.
Where is the correct place to change the "Full Name" setting for my iCloud account?

I believe it can be changed by going to https://appleid.apple.com/, click Manage your Apple ID, sign in with your iCloud ID, select "Name, ID and Email Addresses", then click "Edit" next to the name listed under "Your Name" and change it as desired.
Also, if you are trying to change the sender name for your iCloud email account, you'll want to go to icloud.com, sign into your account, open Mail, click the gear shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, go to the Accounts tab and enter the name you want to use in the Full Name field and click Done. Then quit Mail (Command-Q) on your Mac and re-open it. Your new From name should now appear in the drop-down list when you compose a new email.
