Change the redirect URL sent to reverse proxy

Hi all,
My system is composed of a reverse proxy(Apache 2.046) and a backend webserver (Oracle HTTP Server).
To connect to a web application on the back end web server, the Internet user connect to reverse proxy via HTTPS and the reverse proxy forward the request to backend webserver via HTTP.
Example :
Internet user type :
https://myreverseproxy/myWebApp
The reverse proxy translate this to :
http://mybackendserver/myWebApp
The problem is myWebApp do a redirect like this:
http://myreverseproxy/myWebApp/login.jsp
How can I config the reverse proxy to change the redirect URL to :
https://myreverseproxy/myWebApp/login.jsp
Thank you in advance

Hi Ove
That is working fine.. Only thing i did is mapping node to /author . But is it possible to hit the author instance only wen i type http://localhost:4502/author . Ie: if I type http://localhost:4502 it should not resolve to my login page
Thanks

  • Podcast is having issues since I changed the feed url

Ever since I changed the feed url for my podcast in itunes I have problems with the feed not working properly.
    http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=157571623
When I try to download random files or episodes in this podcast it wont download in itunes. I get an error code (-50) saying it could be a network problem. But if I go to the direct feed url which is this in safari browser. I can click on the mp3 link and it plays just fine. Then after doing that I can go back into itunes and click "get" on the exact same file that wasnt downloading earlier and now it downloads. Very odd. Once that is done all files in itunes download without any problems. I thought it was just something wrong with my itunes. But it only happens for my feed when I subscribe to it. I tried it on my windows system in itunes and having the exact same problem. I called a couple people up and its happeing with them in itunes also. When one of us accesses the feed by way other than itunes it will then work for awhile then go back to not working again. It started happening when I changed the url in itunes to have it point to the feedburner url. Im having the issue right now as a matter of fact. I cant even listen to the preview of each episode. Maybe someone can try the itunes feed and check it out for me. Any ideas?
Its frustrating. Im wondering if I need to just submit a new podcast to itunes.
PS: I posted this in itunes for windows, Im using both mac and windows. Its not specific to either OS.

Im pretty sure the problem has been resolve. We own both the .org and the .com extensions of our website. The primary being the .org and a redirect if a user goes to the .com address. I use feeder to create the podcast feeds and it has an autofill feature in it. Somewhere along the line on the enclosures I inputed the .com address instead of .org. Why the redirect works just fine in most feed readers. Apparently itunes doesnt support it. One of the users in the feedburner forum picked up on this. I corrected all the enclosure urls to .org as they should be and everything so far works fine.

  • When I add an opendocument login token, it wipes out my parameter/prompt response in the Redirect URL

I am having this issue and I wonder if anyone has any pointers?
When I send the URL with the single prompt response &lsSPrompt0=1234567 it works fine but I have to login to InfoView.
So I created a login token .jsp and that took care of the login for InfoView, but it also killed my prompt value.
The code that I got from another site that does the same thing I WANT to do seems to create a cookie to store the passed prompt value in, then it creates a login token, then it assembles it all in the redirect URL and sends it to the openDocument.jsp.
The login token works like a champ, but the prompt value (initially passed in to the cookie as "Prompt0") ends up passing from the Redirect URL to the openDocument.jsp with a value of NULL (lsSPrompt0=NULL).
In my lack of knowledge, I am thinking maybe it has something to do either with how the cookie is being created, how it is being passed, or how/if it is getting stored at the target.  The cookie/token.jsp and the openDocument.jsp are in different folders on the same domain.
    So, I pass this URL:
    http://server:8080/InfoViewApp/token.jsp?&lsSPrompt0=1234567
The token.jsp that it hits looks like this:
So, the redirect winds up hitting the target looking like this:
    http://server:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?token=logonToken&iDocID=45227708&sKind=FullClient&lsSPrompt0=NULL&NAII=N&buttonrefresh=hide&buttonexport=hide
Obviously, my problem is this:  lsSPrompt0=NULL
Any pointers or nuggets of wisdom are GREATLY appreciated?
Also of note, I wasn't sure if I needed to publish this token.jsp as a Webapp to Tomcat.
I just placed the .jsp file in the folderTomcat5.5/webapps/InfoViewApp (same location as the client who has it working).
Do I need to publish it?  Is that part of the problem?
I am a little out of my realm here but trying to learn!
We are on BOXI R2, Tomcat 5.5, JAVA, and I am having the same behavior on my personal XI 3.0 server too
    Thanks in advance,
    Randy

I believe it's storing the info in a cookie so that it can be used later.  You don't mention which version of BO you're using, but I've sometimes found that the logon tokens created in 4.x contain special characters and may need to be URL encoded.  Also, I've found that it helps to put the logon token at the end of the URL after any parameters instead of in the middle before the parameters.

  • Changing the Site URL of a Sharepoint site changes the content type order

    Description
Changing the Site URL of a Sharepoint site changes the content type order of all lists that
    * contain folder content types
    * and have a custom content type order
    * where a folder content type is the first content type in order.
    Reproducible behaviour
    1. Create a Team Site in Sharepoint
    2. Create a Task List "Test" on the Team Site
    3. Go to List Settings
    4. The Content Type order is by default
        a. Task
        b. Summary Task
    5. Change the Content Type Order to
        a. Summary Task
        b. Task
    6. Go To Site Settings "Title, description and icon"
    7. Change the Site Url
    8. Go To List "Test" List Settings
    9. The Content Type order now is
        a. Task
        b. Summary Task
    10. Select "Change New button order and default content type"
    11. Here, the Content Type order still is
        a. Summary Task
        b. Task
Is this a bug? Has anyone noticed this behaviour before?
    Kind Regards,
    Joachim

    Hi Joachim,
You are not missing something or doing something wrong. i Hope :). This behavior is reproductible.
The granularity of change is better by Powershell. But by the interface is most user-friendly.
Maybe that's the reason of this behavior.

    Call flow: A---cucm----pgw----voicemail
                  B-----|
Its a sip to sip call, what i need to do is change the redirect number or rather add a digit to the redirect number at the PGW side.
    For instance:
    A number: 902228990
    B number: 902228996
Redirect number: 92228996  --->Here i want to change it to 902228996

    bash-3.00$ uname -a

I checked from the cisco website but i think its only for isup sip calls only but not sure.
    numan-add:fullnumbertrans:svcname="Service Name",numbtype="Number Type", digstring="Original Digits",
    translatednum="Translated Digits"
Where numtype can be choose 3 for redirect number.
numtype—Identifier for the number type (1-5), it is one of the following values: 1—called party number 2—calling party number 3—redirecting number 4—calling party number and redirecting number 5—original called number

    4. mml> numan-add:resulttable:custgrpid="DP00",name="noar",resulttype="R_NUMBER_TYPE", dw1="4",setname="setname3"

    Thanks and appreciate your time.

  • How can I change the default URL in hyperlink inspector

How can I change the default URL for link to external page in the Hyperlink Inspector?

You can't change the default url in the inspector.. but an easier way to do it rather than editing the box everytime you need to build a link is to copy the url you want to link to and then highlight the text or image that users will click on and then click enable hyperlink.. when you do that whatever the last url you copied using "command" "C" will automatically be entered into that box and replace "livepage.apple.com"
It saves alot of time if you are doing alot of links.
    Hope This Helps!

  • Cannot access the content producer portal via reverse proxy

    Hi all,
I hope my post is in the right forum
We have an FPN environment using RRA with our EP (NW 7.0 SPS18) as the consumer and our BI portal (NW 7.0 SPS18) as the content producer.  The consumer is registered with the producer using HTTP protocol.  Everything works as expected.
We're trying to implement an Apache reverse proxy for our FPN with SSL termination so that we can access the portals from the Internet with HTTPS protocol while keeping HTTP protocol for the internal users.
Through the reverse proxy, we can access the consumer portal and we can access the producer portal directly without any problem.  The only problem is that, if we logged onto the consumer via the reverse proxy, we cannot access the content from the producer.  We'd get the browser security warning message
"Although this page is encrypted.  The information you have entered will be sent over an unencrypted connection. ..."
When we hit the Continue button, we'd get the eror 404 Not Found - The request resource does not exist.
Our Unix admin tried both Apache and SAP Web Dispatcher but we couldn't get it to work properly.  We went through a lot of blogs and documents and we are at our wits end.  We would greatly appreciate if someone can point out where we should look at.
Thank you very much in advance.
    Dao

    Hi Kevin,
Unfortunately, our Unix admin thinks you missed the point because my question was not clear enough
We do not have problems with the "correct name" in the reverse proxy and our main SSL termination works fine.
It's just that the consumer is registered with the producer using HTTP protocol; as a result, the producer's URL link is 'hard-coded' to use HTTP protocol in the consumer portal since we are not using SSL in the internal network.  Hence, we'd like to know if there's any way to change them to HTTPS for the Internet clients while keeping the HTTP protocol for the internal users.
I hope I made it clearer this time

  • To change the access URL of website created by Site Studio

    Hi all,
An user created web site with Site Studio, the following is
    the access URL.
    http://<server>:<port>/MyProject/index.html
But the user wants to use the following as access URL.
    http://<server>:<port>/path1/path2/MyProject/index.html
Because the user will use the reverse proxy.
The reverse proxy needs "/path1/path2" in URL to redirect
    to each server.
Can the user change the URL ?
If can, please tell me how to do it.
    Thanks.

    Carlo,
The fact that this question has been left unanswered for over 2 months seems a little negligent on the part of Apple Support.
This Forum is unfortunately not Apple Support. According to Apple:
What is Apple Discussions and how can it help me?
"Apple Discussions is a user-to-user support forum where experts and other Apple product users get together to discuss Apple products. You'll find a wealth of information about your favorite Apple hardware and software products that will help you get the most out of your purchase. You can participate in discussions about various products and topics, find solutions to help you resolve issues, ask questions, get tips and advice, and more.
If you have a technical question about an Apple product, be sure to check out Apple's support resources first by consulting the application Help menu on your computer and visiting our Support site to view articles and more on our product support pages."
In direct response to your questions, I would say that (as observed by the OP) anyone who subscribes to a published calendar can make a change to their desired view using the "Preferences" icon which is displayed underneath the mini-month calendars.
There is no way that I know of to directly or conveniently change the time-range. There may be workarounds, but I could not find a suitable solution for you.
I would recommend that you provide iCal Feedback, if you are interested in informing Apple of your desires.

  • Changing the portal URL of EP 6.0 SP 9

    Hi,
our portal runs on an windowshost. At the moment we access the portal through the windows hostname. but we need to change the url to an internet address.
My question where can i configure the url the portal uses in his links? Where can it be set up or does it just use the windows related hostname ?
    Cu

    Hi Francesco.
You will have to use a reverse proxy such as SAP IISProxy or Apache to use a different URL then the one the portal uses internally.
If you setup a DNS record that points to the Windows server, you could run into trouble with SSO and KM.
There are many threads about this in the SDN, try to search for "external facing portal" or "reverse proxy".

  • Simple URLs only on reverse proxy?

    Hello all,
Is there any big impact of having DNS entries for the simple URLs only pointing to the reverse proxy (including for internal clients)? In particular for the meet URL? Would that change the traffic flow for internal users in conferences?
In my situation we don't have split-blain DNS, we have a trick to hide DNS records to external users so automatic sign-in is fine, but we cannot have one IP for internal and a different one for external for the same FQDN. That is why I am thinking of having
simple URLs pointing to the reverse proxy for both internal and external access.
    Thanks,
    Gael

It might be a heavier load on your reverse proxy, but should work fine.  Internal users joining conferences are already logged in via clients that understand they're internal and should connect accordingly.
The bigger question is lyncdiscoverinternal, are you going to populate it in your DNS?  Or try with lyncdiscover only?  If it resolves, you might get delays from external clients trying to authenticate.  If it's not, then an internal client
may connect through the edge.  What I've attempted here is to create a pinpoint zone for lyncdiscoverinternal.sipdomain.com with a blank A records that point to the pool.  Then allow access to that "zone" from internal networks only.

  • How to change the endpoint url of the siebel service ?

    Hi All,
    JDev : 11.1.1.5
I am fetching data from the siebel webservice. I created the proxy client from the Siebel WSDL in the JDeveloper. It was working fine.
Now the endpoint URL(Server) is changed. This service fails to connect to that server. The service name is same.
I want to fetch the end point urls from a property file, so that, even again if the server is changed, i have to change it in my property file.
How to change the End point URL at runtime before calling the service ?
    This is my endpoint URL.

    Hello,
When I am inactive for a while on ucm, it gives me a timeout (my timeout is defined for 3600 sec) and redirect me to the login page (http://server/cs/login/login.htm).
Is it possible to change this url?
Maybe, I want the redirect goes to http://server/cs/

    Hi
If you have any SSO solution integrated for eg OAM then the logout url can be changed .
Apart from that on default installations check under the Deployment - Content Server UCM to see if the logout url option shows up .
    Thanks

  • Is it possible to change the default URL when creating new hyperlinks?

I'm currently working to take a 128 page catalog that was created in InDesign for print and turn it into a interactive PDF to post on our companies website. The catalog contains thousands of part numbers and I'd like to link each one to its corresponding stock status page on our website that gives current availability and pricing for any particular customer.
So say I'm dealing with part number "XXXX". When I go to add the hyperlink the default web address it spits out is " http://XXXX ". Instead of that, would it be possible to change the default to " http://forums.adobe.com/discussion/XXXX/1 ". Obviously I just used this website as an example, but it would save so much time if I could avoid having to type the exact same URL every time.
Or maybe is there a quicker way to do this other than what I am currently trying?
    Thanks

I've found some external software applications that will do it, so that leads me to believe its not possible within ID CC.
