Change tracking in Web Tab

Hi All,
How to get the change tracking in Web Tab of Data Manager.
Regards,
Nikhil

Hi Nikhil,
You can only access a MDMChange Tracker iView from the Data Manager if a valid URL has been configured in the URL table of the MDM Console.
The steps which need to be carried out are
In the URL section of the MDM Console, define a URL of type Records with the following parameters:
The parameters are
jdbcAlias --> dis parameter is mandatory,
config   -->  dis parameter is optional
searchtable --> dis parameter is optional,
searchrecord  --> dis parameter is optional
To view the MDMChangeTracker
http://<server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcmdmchangetracker/MdmChangeTracker?jdbcAlias=MdmHistoryDatabase&config=default&searchtable=<t>&searchrecord=<f:Part_Number>
I hope dis helps u

  • Change Tracker via Web Pane not working (when using multiple DF fields)

    All,
We are using MDM 5.5 SP06, version 5.5.62.53
I have configured the Change Tracker so that I can use it in the Data Manager Web pane. I also set the configuration options of the Data Manager for the "Web Pane URL for selected records" to this link, so everything should work fine (it is working for another reporistory with just one DF field in the main table).
The main table (for which I want to track the changes on) has two DF fields. The first DF field of the main table is a look-up field (where the look-up table itself has two DF fields as well) and the second DF field of the main table is just a text field.
The URL link to the Change Tracker makes use of the parameter: searchrecord=<f:n>, as described in the reference guide for MDM Console.
When I select a record in the Record pane in the Data Manager and go to the Web Pane, then the Change Tracker is showing, but the change history for that record is not shown in the Change Tracker!!
This is caused by the fact that the records in the History table are stored with the following information in the "record" field (example): 113786=1000010 - Enfa B.V, 100075. Appearantly this is a combination of the two DF fields of the main table, and because the first DF field is a look-up it shows the values of the DF fields of the look-up table as well (including the ID of that look-up record)!!
I tried the following in the URL link: searchrecord=<f:n>,<f:n2>, but then the Change Tracker receives the following value (which is an invalid value): 1000010, Enfa B.V, 100075
How can I configure the URL link in the Console in such a way that the Change Tracker recognizes the searchrecord parameter as a valid entry (because when you start Change Tracker in separate browser it expects value of e.g. 113786=1000010 - Enfa B.V, 100075 in the "record" search field, otherwise it does not find any records).
Or do I need to change the DF fields and make an MDM-ID field to be the only DF field, and use that field in the searchrecord=<f:n> parameter???
Has anyone any experiences with this? Any suggestions how to solve this issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Marcel

    Hi,
We are indeed tracking changes on the main table. It is the standard SRM-MDM Catalog repository where Supplier and Supplier Part Number are the DF fields of the main table. From standpoint of the datamodel these two DF fields are correct, since these two fields make up an unique record.
Of course I can change the DF field and make the MDM-ID the DF field, but we want to stick as much as possible to the standard SRM-MDM Catalog!
It would be better if the URL to the Change Tracker has additional parameters that can be filled (like the Record Contains field instead of the Record field) or that you could specify the MDM-ID as parameter (without having to change the DF fields of the main table) so that the Change Tracker knows exactly for which record we require the change history!
I will investigate futher and see if we can live with the MDM-ID as the only DF field.
    Thanks anyhow for your reply.

    Marcel

  • Change Tracking in Portal

    Hi,
I have enabled change tracking for 4 fields in MDM.
2 fields are integer fields and 2 are Lookup fields.
Now, in Portal we have launched change tracking application.
In the Records Column - in Portal Changetracking table..
    I can see  ->  11,109227=Lookup field 1, 13, 108337=Lookup Field 2
why is it displaying some numbers infront of the Lookup value??
i would expect it to show something like -> 11,Lookup field 1, 13,Lookup Field 2
Does anyone know why it is showing like this???
Is it possible to show as i required??
    Please Help
    KR
    John

I guess only option is to customize the Iviews/Webdynpro code if you want to display on Portal. Use the following link -
Configuring the MDM Change Tracker Application - http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdm71/helpdata/en/45/e518fb21cf4ebce10000000a11466f/frameset.htm
Also for your question to read from a standard guide that the problem you are facing is normal, please refer section - Running the Change Tracker in Stand-Alone Mode  in the same link as above.
"permid [optional]  The permanent Id of the MDM record
Represented by placeholder <rp>  when used in the MDM Data Manager Web tab.
The value is a permanent record Id u2013 it returns the permanent Ids of the selected record. The format of the  response for the <rp> placeholder is: nRecs:id1;id2;id3u2026..
nRecs is the number of selected records followed by a colon. The selected record permanent Ids are separated by semicolons.
Since you select a single record in  a change tracker application, the response for the <rp> placeholder is: 1:id1"

  • Change Tracking has been marked inconsistent after live migration

We run a 3 node Server 2012 R2 cluster and backup using DPM 2012 R2
Everytime a VM is live migrated to another node, when DPM next tries to back it up, the recovery point fails with the "Change Tracking has been marked inconsistent" error and a consistency check needs to be done.
This is fine if one VM is Live Migrated but when we have to put a host in Maintenance mode for some reason and 50 VM's need to be migrated off, it them means 50 consistency checks and our backups go from 2 hours to 8 hours.
Is there a way around this or is this just the way DPM works?

  • Change Tracker Authorization error

    Dear All,
We have set up MDM change tracking application in SAP MDM 7.1 SP6.
Inspite of having all Admin authorizations rights  in the portal,
I receive error : You do not have the authorization to use MDM Change tracker application.
Where are the authorisations for the Change tracker set?
    Please suggest !
    Regards,
    Harmony

    Harmony -
In portal you must be having portal Role property editor you can choose assign action tabs and check for MDM_CHANGE_TRACKER.
since you are configuring this on standard process is Create an iView using the context menu of the iView folder. and then in iview wizard select WD java application as source and i think then choose iview type.
Choose your source object      tcmdmchangetracker u2192 com.sap.mdm.MdmChangeTracker u2192 MdmChangeTracker
this iview must be under sap.com u2192 MdmChangeTracker branch
you also need to configure the JDBC alias parameters
after that this iview can be placed on portal page.
also you need to download sca files from service market place prior to install Change tracker. JDBC driver needs to insink with the Database as well. and i don't think any additional setting required in SAP MDM console. let us know your findings.

  • MDM parameter replacement values for Change Tracking

Hi! I am able to set up the Change Tracking function and able to view the data via web and Data Manager. On reading the Help documentation on the set up for Data Manager, it mentioned about the parameters which we can use to get dynamic value from Data Manager for the specific record (for the set up of the link URL).
Does anyone know what parameter replacement value that would be if we want the system to assign the record number base on the record we select?
Below is any extract of the help document on the search record:
    searchrecord [optional]
The record for which history records are initially displayed
The searchtable and searchrecord parameters can get dynamic values from the Data Manager at runtime by using the relevant MDM parameter replacement values.
Appreciate any help on the above.
    Thanks!

  • Change Tracker does not automatically log in

    Good day,
Could you please assist. We have just successfully upgraded our MDM patch. The problem is that when a user is logged in to Data Manager, previously they could automatically be logged into the Change Tracker tab at the bottom. Now, it prompts the user for their logins before allowing them access. Is there any way we can automatically provide access again?
    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Simni

    Hi Simni,
As you have posted this question into Portal Implementation forum, I assume that you are using MDM Change Tracker application in Portal. However, if you are getting issue with the change tracker tab in Data Manager, you should post your question into MDM Forum.
Coming back to your question, after patch upgrade, have you made it sure that Change Tracker Data Source is working normally as it was previously? Do check that both MDM Destinations and Data Source are working fine.

  • Want to change the skin of tab , where i need the Graident mix to be used .

    Hi
    1. want to change the skin of tab , where i need the Graident mix to be used ... is it possible ?
    2. how to use Cool Animations( Fading of Old Panel to New Panel) while switching to next tab.

Click the heading of the left-most column of numbers in order to reveal the current Play Order. When sorted on this column you can drag tracks up or down the list.
When using another heading for sorting you can right-click on the playlist name and click Copy to Play Order to set an initial order which you can then manually refine.

  • TrackControl, Change Track, and others questions about AvTransmit

    Hi there,
I've got multiples questions about JMF and AvTransmit, hope you will help
For a small student project, i'm developing a streaming server using JMF, i have used the AvTransmit example.
Streaming, etc... everything work fine, i stream music over web
But i need help with "playlist" :
// Get the tracks from the processor
    TrackControl[] tracks = processor.getTrackControls();
    First Question :
The Processor use a MediaLocator to get one track, is there a way to indicate multiples tracks, such as a directory containing multiples audio file ?
At this time, i can only set 1 file in the MediaLocator.
I'm using a simple class as Playlist (a File[]), and, when i want to change song, i stop the thread, change the MediaLocator with another file, and restart the thread.
It works on a Lan, but on Internet, Player (I use VLC for my test) lost the connection, i need to restart VLC to get audio again.
    Second Question
Is there a more "elegant" way to change tracks ?
    Last Question
I have think about building my own object Playlist... gasp...
I've look at the javadoc... but i'm a bit lost... does my class have to implement TrackControl ? what are the object inside etc...
If someone knows information about this...
    That's all ;)
    Thanks !
Tommy, french student (sorry for the english)

    First Question :
The Processor use a MediaLocator to get one track, is there a way to indicate multiples tracks, such as a directory containing multiples audio file ?
At this time, i can only set 1 file in the MediaLocator.No. The processor uses a MediaLocator to get one file. Files (can) contain multiple tracks.
You can, in fact, combine the tracks of multiple files together, but, there's no need to do that with your application. AVTransmit2 sends each track as a separate RTP stream, so you'd just be sticking them together just to pull them apart again.
In general, you want to keep your architecture as one processor per file, one RTP stream per track.
    Second Question
Is there a more "elegant" way to change tracks ?Yes. It's what I refer to as a jukebox DataSource. I discuss it / explain the concept on this previous thread.
What you're essentially doing when you change the MediaLocator is starting over from scratch. You end up with a whole new DataSource, whole new Processor, whole new RTP session. On the LAN, this isn't an issue because it looks like you paused the RTP session (because the IP/PORTs don't change).
Over the internet, though, when you stop sending and restart, you're very likely going to get a new public NAT port. And so when your stream gets to the client, it's going to look like it's from a different person than the original.
The solution is to use the jukebox datasource to change the media without restarting the Processor or the RTP streams. That'll ensure that your stream won't move between files from the perspective of the client...
    Last Question
I have think about building my own object Playlist... gasp...
I've look at the javadoc... but i'm a bit lost... does my class have to implement TrackControl ? what are the object inside etc...
If someone knows information about this...Ummmm, your "Playlist" object should just be a Jukebox datasource, so follow the link and figure out how that's supposed to work. If you have questions about it, just ask 'em here (rather than on the older thread)...

  • Not able to view actual Price updated 'Value' in Change Tracker

I was able to get my Change tracker to work and it is functioning. (SRM 5.0 MDM5.5 )... Configured Portal iViews for change tracker.
If I change a description I can see it in the change tracker application. But if I try and track a Price change it only shows me a date-time  and user as to I when the price was changed it doesnu2019t show me the actual value changed, for my audit purposes.
On the portal the change tracker "Field" dropdown shows -> Price Updated. this is what is tracking any change of price.
In MDM Console-> Admin->Change Tracker I am tracking under Catalog Items: Price information, Price Updated, Special search terms, long description.
When I look at the Data manager in the Record Detail, I see  u2018Price Updatedu2019 and it only has a Date and time stamp. In this same Record Detail,  I see the field Price Information that contains :Lower bound, Purchasing Info record ID, Purchasing Organization, Amount and Currency.  Amount-> contains the actual price value. This is what i want to see in the portal iView as Old value and New value....this is what I am unable to view? theres one small step i am not doing...
I am trying to track the actual change in the filed u2018Amountu2019u2026 I have tried to search for it in the Portal iView fields (table, record contains, fields, record)
    cheers
    alex

    Hi Alex,
I would not here comment on change Tracking functionality but can you suggest another workaround to achieve this requirement. If it fits in your requirement you can go ahead with it.
In MDM, Create another field in Main table say Initial Price and for already existing field Amount replace its name with Updated Price in Qualified table Price.
now after this you will see that your by default Updated Price has values as it was your Amount field earlier and Initial Price field as empty. Now for next time, if any record comes using Import Manager then MDM workflow should trigger at Record Import.
    This workflow contains following steps.
    Start(Checkout)>Assign>Stop(CheckIn)
Assign step should have below expression and assignment:
    Price Information.Updated Price
Where I am assuming Price Information is the field in main table which is look up to this qualified table Price.
So in this way you can maintain both existing and updated values of Price and cant then show in your Catalog.
suppose you have already existing record say 1 which has value of Amount as 20.
So that means you have Updated Price as 20 and Initial Price as empty(Null)
Now when same record 1 updates with new Amount say 40, it triggers this workflow on record import which will then assign value of existing updated Price 20 to Initial Field after that Updated Price will update by 40.
Note: This Assignment works well only if your main table record has this Qualified table link as single record. If your main table record contains more than one qualified links then this Assignment would not work fine. So use only if it fits.

  • Bex iView does not show changes made in web templates

    Hello,
I have a Bex iView that presents a web template which is exposed in two portals.
I made a certain change in the web template in portal A and I can see the change through the Bex iView in this portal.
I than transfered the change to portal B and I can see this change at the Web application designer's code when it is connected to portal B.
The problem is that I can't see the change through the Bex iView in portal B, it keeps presenting the old version of the web template. Also, if I preview it from WAD, which opens it in the portal, it shows the old version as well.
    <b>I've already tried/verified the following:</b>
    1. It's not a client related issue as it happens to all clients.
    2. I have tried clearing both the client and the portal's pcd caches.
    3. No cache whatsoever is configured in this iView's properties (Cache Level: None, Cache Validity Period: 0,0,0,-1, Allow Client-Side Caching: No).
    4. When I run the iView in debug mode in the application integrator I can't see anything unusual I can think of. Also, I can see there that it points to the correct web template.
    5. Retransported the web template from server A to server B.
What else can be done here? Any ideas...?

    Hello,
did you resolve your problem ?

  • How to display success message when data is changed in the custom tab in MM

    Hi,
I have added a new custom data tab in the MM01/MM02/MM03 transactions. Whenever I do changes to fields in the custom tab in MM02 transaction, and no changes in the standard tabs, I will get a message stating "No Changes Made".
But if I do changes in the standard tabs, it works as usual with display of message "Changes to particular material has been done.
Please let me know, if anyone of you know, how to display the success message if the changes to the custom tab is done.
    Thanks in advance,
    sudhanva

    Hi Sudhanva,
The exit EXIT_SAPLMGMU_0001 is a function exit that you can use for custom validation but not to add custom tab/screen.
But the message issued by SAP is not related to this Function Exit.
If you have used a Screen Exit, then there must be some Function Exits also in the same Enhancement using which you can assign the value of custom fields to/from the standard structure. Thus when the value of any custom field is changed the system can understand that the some changes have been changed and will  not issue the message.
In case you have used a BADI, there can be other methods in the BADi using whcih you can assign the value of custom fields to/from the standard structure. This might also prevent the message from being displayed.
I could try giving you further details if you can provide the name of the Enhancement/BADi that you used to add the additional tab.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Abhisek.
