What you have is just a plain text file containing hexadecimal formatted text.
Do you know the offset of the data you need to change? Is the "address" a variable? Why don't you simply read your file as plain text, use search string to find ":1064F", then increment the location by the desired offset to get the locations you need to overwrite as described by smercurio.
How often does this need to happen? Is the file just 32k? For simplicity, you might just want to do the changes in memory and overwrite the entire file.

Hi,
What you can probably do is, perform a consistency check on your data in the internal table and segregate all those rows that have inconsistent data (in your case, the field NEWBS containing albhabets) into another temporary internal table. Display the temporary internal table in an editable ALV grid saying that these data have not been inserted to the database, coz they have inconsistent data in the field NEWBS. Allow the user to edit and then save the data which will consequently refresh the internal table contents.

Best approach to change values in .properties file dynamically

I am using Jdev 11.1.1.5 . I wanted to change the values used in .properties file (like say a fe email addresses which happen to be different for Test/Prod/Dev instances) dynamically using something like a deployment plan.
One way to do the same is to include it in a shared libary and do a one -time deployment to the server.
Are there any better ways like a deployment plan , which unfortunately I think can change values dynamically on for web.xml , weblogic.xml type of files.

I am using a shared library which takes care of the cases mentioned above.

How to change value of ${eol} from \n to \r\n, while writing file through File Adapter.
As my file is being created in Linux environment, so for new line separater, \n is used. I mounted this file directory to windows System.
As Windows requires \r\n for new line seperator. So I need to change value of ${eol} in the Schema created for file writing.
Can any one provide help regarding this.

Hi,
When an XML payload is written to a file \n would be used as the default line separator regardless of if its windows or linux, as per the XML specification http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-xml/#sec-line-ends.
As such, one need not worry about the line separators because, the XML file would eventually be processed by a parser which usually would be able to understand both line endings (as they are whitespace characters as far as the parser is concerned).
If you want to convert the line terminators (for readability etc), 10.1.3.4 has a new feature - in the XML schema definition for the file adapter payload, add these two top level directives to the schema element:
xmlns:nxsd="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/nxsd"
nxsd:normalizeLineTerminators="false"

Ok, so here's the deal. I want to change my iCloud email address. Ultimately I want to keep the same Apple ID and simply edit the part before the '@icloud.com'. If this is not possible, can I make a new Apple ID and transfer all of music, apps, files, and mail to the new Apple ID and all of my other devices?

How to update/change the value of elements in an xml file?

Could any one of u tell me how to update the value of elements in an XML file, using java? The reason is i want to use an XML file as a data source (i.e. more or less like a database), without using any RDBMS, for simple applications such as to read a record and update the record. By the way, my XML file will have only one record, such as the current weather information, with fields such as temperature, humdity etc. for 1 city only.

For using FTP function in LabVIEW, I recommend you to check this document: FTP Basics
Also, take a look at FTP Browser.vi, which is available at the Example Finder.
To edit a XML file, try to use VIs in XML palette. Maybe Write to XML.vi helps you.
Post your current VI if possible.

How to start a workflow when a value in specific column is changed?

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to start a workflow when a value in specific column is changed.
When you create workflow, if you check the “start the workflow automatically when an item is changed”, the workflow will be started automatically once the item is edited.
In the other word, no matter which column we changed, the the workflow will be started automatically.
As a workaround, we can add condition or action to make the workflow excute the next step only if the value in specific column is changed.
There are two options to achieve it.
Use the “Wait for Field Change in Current Item" action”. If you add the action at the first, the workflow will excute the next step until the column is chaned to the specific value.
2. User the “If any value equals to value” condition. If you add the condition at the first, the workflow will excute the next step if the condition is satisfied.

Value of specifications gets changed in UD

Dear gurus,
While doing the result recording against characteristics , speciafications are maintained for example Outer diamter is a characteristics OD for which specifications is maintained between say 100 mm to 200 mm, and the result is 150 mm
While doing the Usage decision, The value of specifications get changed to some other values other what is maintained
please help.

Changing value when reading from file

When I am reading from a text tab-delimited file labview is returning a changed value. For example, the value should be 337478.47 but labview is returning 336727. I have tried changing the array to EXT, it is currently DBL, and that didnt seem to change anything.
I am using LabView 8.

Your numbers are fine. Just right-click on your indicators and select the desired format and precision. (By default, it only shows 6 significant digits).

I would like to convert a macro from VBA to AppleScript. Unfortunately, I'm the beginner of AppleScript and I don't know how to change value of an option button in Microsoft Word.

How do you subtract different values for specific array elements?

Hi LabVIEW Community,
I am new to LabVIEW and Im working on my first application. One of my challenges that I am having problems solving is how to subtract specific values from specific elements in an array.
My aplication is to measure the distance between a sensor and a magnet, however the initial distance for each sensor to magnet is different. I have converted the voltage to a distance using the Math Node for each element and now need to correct these values by subtracting their individual initial value.
The source is a 1D array of DBL64 consisting of 32 elements and each of these values needs to have a different value subtracted.
eg:
Element 1 - 5.557
element 2 - 2,34
element 3 - 7,654 and so on
I have tried to seperate (index the array) and subtract the values from each element and then combine them again. This has not been effetive. I need to write these values to an .txt file and also use them in another calculation.
I have attached my attemted sub VI.
Any advise would be really apprecieated.

You don't need to overthink it. There's a really simple method. Generate an array that contains all your offsets you want. Then subtract it off.

Hi YangAfreet,
All tables in DIAdem VIEW and REPORT display the values in specific Channels in the Data Portal (or in rare cases the values of a global array variable). So if you want to change the value of a particular cell in your table, you need to change the value of that particular cell in the data channel being displayed in that table column. This you can do with the ChV() function in a VBScript, or you can change that value interactively in a VIEW table.
Of course, if you're talking about a table in a SUDialog, then there is a way to address and edit individual table cells, but my guess is that this is not the sort of table you're talking about.
