How to assign value to specifically 2D table cell in DIAdem?

Assume the 2D table dimension is 4*5, and I want to write value to (2,3) of the table cell and don't change the values in other cells. How should I do?

Hi YangAfreet,
All tables in DIAdem VIEW and REPORT display the values in specific Channels in the Data Portal (or in rare cases the values of a global array variable). So if you want to change the value of a particular cell in your table, you need to change the value of that particular cell in the data channel being displayed in that table column. This you can do with the ChV() function in a VBScript, or you can change that value interactively in a VIEW table.
Of course, if you're talking about a table in a SUDialog, then there is a way to address and edit individual table cells, but my guess is that this is not the sort of table you're talking about.

Well you are doing almost everything wrong that could be done wrong.
Here is code that works to insert data into your table (the procedure isn't even needed).

1. You don't even need the procedure since all it does is a simple INSERT into the table which you can do directly (see my code above)
inval1(1).val1 := 'testx1';There is no element one (1) of 'inval1' since you haven't created any elements yet. You need to EXTEND the collection to add an element
inval1.extend();And then there is an empty element but 'inval1' is a container for objects of type 'test_object1' not for scalars like 'val1', 'val2', and 'val3'.
So you can't do
inval1(1).val1 := 'testx1';You have to create an instance of 'test_object1'
inval1(1) := test_object1('testx1', 'testx2', 'testx3');And so on for the other collection
You don't need the procedure (as my sample code shows) but once you populate the variables properly it will work.

Currently, I use serial process, or default settings, when client-copying.
But I want to implement this in parallel processes.
Due to this, I have to create server group and assign a lot of values to something I don't know!
I want to create a server group, but don't know how to assign values to ones like "Max. requests in queue", "Max. no of logons" and so on.
Could you please advise me how to allocate values to the resourses shown below;

I am trying to achieve something like below:
Creating a Dynamic VO in my extended controller's ProcessRequest() method and attaching it to a MessageChoiceBean. In ProcessFormRequest() method based on some condition i have to change my Dynaic VO's whereClauseParam and re-execute it so that it will show some different set of values. Below is the code which i used. But after re-executing it my LOV is still showing old set of values. I have posted a query regd. the same but dint get much help. How to enter values to a database table with data type 'LCHR'?

Hello All,
I have created a database table with five fields, of which the last field is 'Value' field in which i have to enter text with a maximum of 1000characters. I have also specified a 'Length' field preceding the 'Value' field.
The datatype specified for the 'Length' field is 'INT2' and for the value field is 'LCHR' with length 1000.
When i tried inserting values to the table through a report, the report is giving an error that 'Literals that take up more than one line are not permitted', which means 255characters.
Also, when i entered a short text which is less than 250 characters to the 'Value' field,, the report is working fine and the table entry is visible.
Can anyone help me in this?
It would be really helpful if you explain how to use 'LCHR' data type in tables and how to enter values to such a field with more than 255characters.

I too have tried with LCHR and am facing the same issue.. i am not sure why its coming..
i have tried STRING and its working perfectly.

I really need your help! this is the problem:
I need to assign values to fields into a work area which is a field symbol. The values come from a flat file I uploaded and as I can't know the length I had to build the structure dynamically ( That's why I'm using FS). Each field comes from the file separated by ';', I tried using the SPLIT sentence:
"SPLIT text AT ';' INTO TABLE <dyn_table>." but the values are assigned vertically into the same field instead of horizontally into each field of the table(field-symbol table).
I know the name of the field dynamically
(a TEXT + number) and I know I can't do this
<dyn_wa>-TEXT1 or field_name = 'TEXT1' <dyn_wa>-(field_name).... ohhh I'm blocked, I don't seem to find the answer, please help!

Now, WA has the values in a horizontal fashion.

i have to change the value of query_rewrite_enabled to TRUE,
but i am not able to change its value in v$parameter table because it is a fixed table/view.

One does not 'update' any V$, DBA_, USER_ or ALL_ views. Nastiness occurs to the health of the database when you update individual SYS tables without ensuring the integrity of the remainder of the system dictionary, so you should always update those tables using the system DDL commands (CREATE, ALTER, DROP, GRANT, REVOKE). These commands simply do the appropriate insert/update/delete to all the related tables owned by SYS.
If you are running with an SPFILE parameter file, as the DB superuser (SYS) you would alter the database system configuration using
ALTER SYSTEM SET QUERY_REWRITE_ENABLED=TRUE SCOPE=BOTH;
If you are using an older style PFILE (INITsid.ORA) you shut down the database, create or update a line in the PFILE with
*.QUERY_REWRITE_ENABLED=TRUE
and it will b e enabled on restart
(Which are you using? One way to find out is to go to the $ORACLE_HOME/dbs directory and look at the time stamp of the init?.ora and spfile?.ora files.)
