Change WebOS account

I just sold one of my touchpads to someone but we are unable to add a new WebOS account. I would like to remove my WebOS account and create on for her, but there is no obvious way to do this. Do I need to reset the Touchpad and start over?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Open up the Device Info application and select the Reset Options button at the bottom. Choose any of the Red options (except the Erase USB Drive option... that won't work for what you want to do) to reset your TouchPad. Once you reboot, you'll be asked to create a new HP webOS Account or sign in to an existing one.

    I just bought TouchPad, startup it, chosen a wifi, and have appeared window with creating webOS account. I filled in all fields and pressing create, after appears warning message (We are unable to create an account for you. Please try in a few minutes or contact HP for help resolving this problem.)
    I do this more than 30 times along a day, but nothing changes.
    What happend?

    Are you sure it's connecting to your WiFi source?  Are you talking about a home network with your own router?  Try cycling power to the router, then attempt to create the account.
    You could also try rebooting the TouchPad - go to the "Device Info" app, then tap the "Reset Options" button and the "Restart" button after that.
    If still no joy, I'd follow the suggestion given you - call HP's webOS Butler service.. See this page for info:

    so I refreshed official 2.24 because sth weird on my Pre 3.
    But then I tried to sign in webos account with correct username and password and I got "Sign in failed" error.
    what is more weird, I clicked forgot password and it does display my security question, and let me change the password. But then still sign in fail. So at least I know that the phone does connect to 3G network and can communicate with its server, but just doesn't let me sign in...
    I tried to create new webos profile, but it failed, too.
    Could you please help?

    I Doctored my wife's Pixi last night and had the same exact problem.  I ended up changing the webOS Account (Palm Profile) password.  Then tried signing in again and got going that time.  I wonder if the Profiles have been damaged?  I used the HP webOS Account webpage to change the password, rather than doing it through the phone.

    Hello, 
    I was recently given an HP Touchpad but the previous owner had not given me their 4-digit password. I reset the device and am now back to the "what country/language" steps. Then, it asks to create a webOS account. How do I do this? I have NO information about the device (except the serial number), NO idea what the person's webOS account could even be, and NO idea how to go about setting up a new one. Anytime I Google it, all I see is the page to sign into an existing account and a link in case you forgot your password. How do I COMPLETELY START OVER? I am not able to get in touch with the person who previously owned this device to ask about their account and I just want to be able to use it. Help!

    It's a warranty repair, so if still within a year's time of ownership then it should be free.
    However, since I'm not an employee of HP, I can't guarantee the terms might have changed.

  • Unable to create webOS account to set up HP Touchpad

    Alright, so I got my Touchpad Saturday, and tried to set it up the day after.  So in order to actually use it, you have to create a webOS account, but every time I try, I get the error "We are unable to create an account for you.  Please try again in a few minutes or contact HP for help resolving this problem.  Visit palm.com/support for more information."  I tried countless times, still getting the same error, even after starting the setup process over, restarting the touchpad and my router, trying different wireless connections, trying it at different times during the day, as well as changing the security question, password and email to see if that had an effect.  I have tried going to the site suggested and trying to chat online with them, as well as calling them, but they were busy, so I was hoping I could find an answer here.

    I too am having the same problems and can't get the WebOS Doctor because I don't have the palm account. There has to be a way to download the doc without an account.

  • OIM 9.1 DB Recon Changes Locked Account status in OIM back to Provisioned

    Hi,
    I have a scheduled task that runs the OIM DBAccessReconTask but am seeing some unexpected behavior. Here are the steps to produce the error:
    1. Provision a DB account to a user in OIM (this creates an account in the target database and the account shows in the user's resource profile with a status of "Provisioned")
    2. Disable the DB account in OIM from the User's Resource profile screen (this successfully disables the account in the database and changes the account status to "Disabled")
    3. Run the DBAccessReconTask
    4. After the DBAccessRecon task completes the status of the DB account in the database is still disabled but in OIM on the user's resource profile screen it is marked as "Provisioned"
    I did not expect this to be changed to provisioned in OIM since it is disabled in the database. Has anyone seen similar issues when running the DBAccessReconTask or know a way to fix this?

    Thanks for the reply. Originally I thought your solution would work but after analyzing it closer there is a more fundamental problem we are having with the DBReconTask. We only want the reconciliation to take place going from OIM to the database and not vice versa (i.e. changes to an account in OIM should be pushed to the database but not from the database to OIM). However, currently if a change is made in the database (a role is added, the profile is changed, etc...) and the DBReconTask is run then it will be updated in OIM. Do you know how this can be achieved? These are the properties we currently use when creating the task:

    Request you to please let me know what is the detailed process of maintaining the balance sheet adjustment account in OBBW and then running the SAPF101 report to allocate the balances in old recon account to new recon account.

    Hi,
    We did change the Vendor Reconciliation account after posting the transaction data. The options are as under:
    1. If no transaction data is posted to Customer / Vendor account - it is simple and the reconciliation can be changed in the Master record.
    2. If the transaction data is already posted and if you want to change the reconciliation account in the master record, you can still change it. Here, the transaction data already posted will remain the old reconciliation. As and when the old open items are cleared (incoming / outgoing payment) it gets nullified and all the new postings will be reflected in the new reconciliation account.
    3. If the Balance is not zero, we can change the reconciliation Account, but we have to maintain a clearing Account / adjustment in Configuration (Transaction code OBBW) and then execute the transaction F101. While executing this transaction select the check box "Change Rec Account". After executing this transaction, this will move the balance to the new reconciliation account.

    I tried to change a customer's rec. acct, but I couldn't do it as the field is gray out.
    Why it is not possible to change it? and how can I make this field able to be changed?
    Also when I use the mass transaction to do the change I have this message: Field KNB1-AKONT is not an input field.

    Please check Tcode OB20 - Change customer centrally, there the field Recon account may be checked as display only change that.
    Or try this:
    IMG-Financial Accounting-Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable-Customer Accounts-Master Data-Preparations for Creating Customer Master Data-Define Screen Layout per Activity (Customers)
    Here highlight Change customer (Accounting) and click on details at the top and go to company code data, then account management and make sure that recon account is optional or required field not display

    The user ask me to change Reconciliation accounts for some vendors and customers.
    I've done the following steps:
    1/ Set the u201CReconciliation Accountu201D field in the vendor master as optional field (customizing)
    2/ Define Adjustment Accounts for Changed Reconciliation Accounts (customizing)
    3/ Run Balance Sheet Adjustment Program - F101(FAGLF101 in ECC6)
    But, there is no posting, and nothing happened.
    My questions :
          - What FAGLF101 is supposed to do exactly ?
          - The vendor/customers can have open items before executing FAGLF101 ?

    I hope you have actually changed your Recon. account
    You can change the reconciliation Account in the Vendor or customer Master provided the field Status in your configuration allows changing the Reconciliation Account. Also, it is ideal that you change the reconciliation Account when the balance on the Reconciliation Account is Zero.
    To clear the reconciliation Account one option is that you create a new open item managed GL Account and use Transaction FB05 to clear each open item in the vendor Account one at a Time and post on the new open item clearing Account. Then change the reconciliation Account in the master data and then again use FB05 to post the transactions back on the vendor Account one at a time.

    Hi Sandra,
    Yes you can do that, follow the steps mentioned below
    This would require a config change. In the definition for vendor account groups first change the recon account field from display to optional, save the data make the necessary changes to the master records in Vendor and again set the recon account field to display and save. This has to be carried out directly in production server.
    There is no need to reverse the entry of Recon Account as the Recon Account can be change in the config settings.

    We have two different account groups with different number Ranges. When i try to change the customer account group from one to other through XD07 system given the following warning message.
    Customer 600021 not in External Sold-to-Party
    - number range 0000100001-0000199999
    Message number F2691
    We have tried to change this warning message in to Error message through OBMSG and OBA5
    after that also system showing warning message.
    Where we do mistake? is there any other process to do the changing message?

    If You are trying to change the account group of a customer whose partner function is Sold-to-party.
    Changes to the account group and the relevent partner functions only made from lower level to higher level.
    Example:
    Sold-to-party cannot be assigned the function of a payer(Higher level to lower level) because you are trying to change the higher level partner function.
    Your can assign sold-to-party function to a payer (Lower level to higher level) because you are trying to change lower level partner function.

  • Change recon account and transfer of Open items from Old recon a/c to New recon a/c.

    Hi Gurus,
    User want to change recon account for some customer  and also wants the open items to be transferred to new recon from old recon account. We follow the following process:
    Create a New GL Account for Adjustment Postings
    Change the Customer Master Data with regard to new  reconciliation account
    Update the FI Auto Postings Configuration: Trxn: OBBW (Transaction Key: A00: Transfer postings: changed recon. acct) as under:
    Old Reconciliation Account = Adjust Acct xxxx
    New Reconciliation Account = Adjust Acct xxxx
    4. Run FAGLF101 (ECC 6.0), with the intention, that the Balances / Open Items from OLD Recon would be MOVED to the NEW Recon.
    When we execute the last step (4) in “Message” appears the following message:
    “Account determination for transaction A00 is missing for account  PV PUC
    Message no. FR005”.
    Where PV corresponds to valuation area and PUC is our chart of account. Furthermore, we run the process of foreign currency valuation at the end of the month.
    What configuration is needed, If OBBW and OBA1 already been configured?.

    Thanks for you answer.  The link was helpful; however, today we find a solution to the error. In OBA1 when in the transaction appears a window requesting the chart of account, we chose the valuation area (option yellow arrow) and completed the configuration. With this, i could solve my problem, it was simple.

    The reconciliation account can still be changed. However there is some configuration changes needs to be done.
    A. Set the u201CReconciliation Accountu201D field in the vendor master as optional field.
    Transaction code: OB23 (IMG)
    Change both Accounting and Centrally part.
    Set the status of u201Creconciliation accountu201D field to optional entry from display only
    Next move on to:
    B. Define Adjustment Accounts for Changed Reconciliation Accounts
    Transaction Code: OBBW
    Finally move to,
    C. Run Balance Sheet Adjustment Program
    Transaction Code: F101

    I need to change the account assigment group field from open sale orders, but the field is grey.
    Is it possible to change the subject field.? Please help

    If I am correct, even in creation mode, this field (Account Assignment Group) will be in grey mode and cannot be maintained manually in sale order. 
    Whatever you maintain in material master, that only will flow.  Due to some reasons, if the same is not flowing in sale order and you want to rectify this,  if you ask me, the only option is close those line items, maintain the account assignment group in material master, create LSMW for VA02 and include as new line items.

  • How do you change the account reset information for your account?

    I was using live account as the apple ID for quite some time and recently after it was migrate to the new outlok my email ID changed as well.
    Correspondingly I renamed the apple ID to reflect outlook.com.
    I was trying to change the account reset information (email to which the reset link will be sent to, it still points to my live.com alias), however I have forgotten the answers to the information which could have helped me to change this.
    Is there any other alternate way of changing the account reset information?
