Changelist Exception during Activation

Hello
I tried to activate the changelist after having imported a SoftwareComponent from SLD and created an empty Namespace Definition. So the changelist did only contain the "Namespace Definition" to activate. During the Activation-Process an ArrayIndexOutOfBounds Exception was thrown.
Now, the Namespace Definition seems to be "committed" but the changelist itself show the following when trying to re-activate:
Unexpected state of Changelist (ID=efaf6df9432811e0b57700000097b166, name=Standard change list, owner=xxx). Expected open, but given state is releasedLocally
Any idea how to solve the problem? I have no problems recreating the whole software-component...

Hello Kai,
We faced a similar issue with a Message Mapping object. The status of the object in the Changelist was showing as "Transportable" but displayed under "Open".
Hence we could not perform any edit on that object.
We had a Java Restart done and performed a full CPA Cache Refresh after which that error was gone.

Krish

• Io exception: Connection timed out during Active Sync

I received this connection exception during an Active Sync Process.
The exception caused the process to halt for 9 minutes - it then picked again and continued processing accounts.
We are running IdM v5.0 SP6, Tomcat Application Server, and an Oracle 9 Repository.
Any ideas?

Hi,
It seems the query is taking too long and eventually the connection to the database is timing out.
I also believe that you are on the supported database configurations for WLS 10.0 MP1 :-
Link:[http://edocs.bea.com/platform/suppconfigs/configs100/100_over/supported_db.html]
You will also have to look in the weblogic server log for relevant errors like socket exceptions.

Failed to store data records persistently. Possible causes are:
You tried to save a record that is already stored in the database.
This error only occurs with DataStore objects with option "Unique Data Records".
A unique index was created for the table of active data.
You can check this in the Data Warehousing Workbench by choosing "Display" for the DataStore object and opening the "Indexes" folder.
There is a technical problem on the database.
Thanks,

• "An error occurred during activation. Try again." Why can I not sign into imessage?

"An error occurred during activation. Try again." Why can I not sign into Imessage?

Hi,
You stated earlier that you had already deleted the "madrid" .plist with no effect.
Can I check you did this with the app closed down or at least restarted the app straight afterwards ?
If you did that close the app if open and access the ~/Library/Preferences folder again.
This time delete com.apple.imessage.bag.plist
This item stores the Apple server used for your Login to the iMessages server and contains a date/time reference.
Restarting the app after deleting this file will make it reconnect with the iMessages servers in a fresh manner which my solve things.
It may sort out any date/time issues with the stored date.
Messages is one of the app that Apple have "Sandboxed".
This means that some of it's operations are held away from other apps to prevent one app bringing down several others.
This is turn means that the route or path used by the app to Read and Write to the various .plists is different to the direct placing in ~/Library/Preferences.
The Path is ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iChat/Data/Library/Preferences
Mostly the items in here are then Aliases that point to the actual originals in ~/Library/Preferences. However there are exceptions.
You can copy and paste the Path above in to the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder dialogue box to access this folder.
Once there use the Finder's View Menu > Show Path Bar.
This adds a collection of folders across the bottom of the Finder window.
Right click on the Preferences folder at the right hand list of the Path.
Chose the Get Info option.
In the Info panel scroll to the Bottom.
Your Shortname should appear (with (Me) as well) and you should have Read and Write Permissions
If you highlight this and then use the Cogwheel type iCon it should reveal you shortname again but in Greyed out form which mean you Own the File/folder
Repeat this for each containing folder until the Library item on the left (you don't need to do the Little House icon one)
You should have Read an Write Permissions and Own all of them.
Can you confirm this ?

• Exception during ADS deplopyment

hi
I am trying to deploy the famous tutorial app OnlineInteractiveForm.
Althugh we have installed the .pfx file yesterday
When I deploy the app I get the following exception:
com.sap.tc.webdynpro.pdfobject.core.PDFObjectRuntimeException: Processing exception during a "UsageRights" operation. yuval

Hi Yuval,
Are u sure all the attributes are configured properly??
1. Log on to the Visual Administrator. (See How to Start the Visual Administrator.)
2. On the Cluster tab, choose Server ® Services ® Document Services Configuration.
3. On the Runtime tab, select Credentials.
4. From the Type field, select the type of credential you are configuring (P12 Record, HSM Record or MSCAPI Record).
The fields that become active and available for editing depend on the credential type that you choose.
5. In the Alias field, enter the alias of the credential you installed. Enter the following:
○ ReaderRights when you configure a Reader right credential for usage rights.
○ DocumentCertification when you configure a credential for certification.
○ ServerSignature when you configure a credential for digital signatures.
Entries for the name of the credential are case-sensitive.
6. For a P12 Record, choose Browse to search for the name of the credential and then Select.
7. In the sha1 field, enter the sha1 value. This value can be copied from the credential file itself, and is typically a string of numeric and alphabetic characters. (This step is optional if your credential only contains one sha1 value.)
If you entered ReaderRights in the Alias field, you must not make any entry in the sha1 field.
8. For an HSM Record, type the Slot and DLL Path value in the corresponding fields.
9. In the Password field, enter the password you received together with the credential you installed.
10. Confirm the password, and then click Add.
The page refreshes and the list of registered credentials at the top of the page includes the credential you just added
regards

I had trouble like this where the DC worked great locally but did not deploy upon check in. I was guided to an easy to miss button in the CMS. Some how there was "old stuff" it was trying to use so I had to reintitalize the compartment
Per SAP
You could try to initialise compartment of the SC in CBS to recreate
CBS cache of DTR sources.
Afterwards try to activate again.
This intialize button is found at CBS Web UI > CBS Buildspace Details > Build Compartment tab > the initialize button is at the bottom of page.

Hi Frank,
Thanks for your inputs.
Yes. We have jsp:include tags in jspx pages. We do not have any regions. These include tags are embedded within f:subview. We have something like this.
<jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1"
xmlns:c="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core"
xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core"

<af:document>
<af:form>

Hi,
We're running Server 10.5.4 on a G4 Xserve.
Typically, our "once a week" problem is a failure of the DirectoryService process. Occasionally, our bootpd.plist file will revert to defaults and we lose all our DHCP settings.
Today, I got to experience one part of your problem - the inability to access the server via the Server Admin GUI and the server admin web site (https://localhost:311). Typically, we have that problem when DirectoryService fails, since we can no longer authenticate as a user of those services.
This time, I was surprised to find that authentication wasn't the problem.
Although I don't have a real fix for you, I was able to get servermgrd running again by simply quitting it from Activity Monitor.app. Launchd just restarts the service for you automatically. You should be able to accomplish the same thing with +killall servermgrd+. At the very least, this could save you from having to reboot.
If you're a scripter, you could probably write one that automatically does the killall for you when servermgrd goes flakey.
Regards,
Lyle Millander
