Changing action name of sample custom action block in MII 12.2

Hi all,
I have a problem changing the action name of the custom action block sample. I've changed the content and successfully implemented the action block. But when I changed the action name and uploaded again, the action block cannot display any input parameters and output parameters. In the java console, I can see 3 rows of "Shared Properties Error: No File Defined" error. Can I get a hand on resolving this issue? Thanks.
The From rows are the sample code. To row is what I changed to.
In SimpleActions.java
From:

To:

Did you remember to change the action name in the catalog xml as well? In the catalog xml the Name field denotes the name of the action. This needs to also change in case the Action Name is changed in the class.
Please check this and change if not already done.

Change the name of custom tab in me51n / me52n / me53n

Hi,
I have to add a few custom fields in PR item of transactions me51n / me52n / me53n. I have used the enhancement MEREQ001 for adding the custom fields. The sytem automatically creates a custom tab with the name Customer Tab for the additional fields that I have added using the enhancement MEREQ001 while displaying in me51n / me52n / me53n.
Now I have a requirement to change the name of the custom tab created for transactions me51n / me52n / me53n from Customer Data to Others.
Can anyone suggest me how to go about doing this???

Interactive Report - Add a 'custom' Action Menu Item

Hi,
I'm wondering if it is possible to add 'custom' Action menu items to an interactive report?
I have a situation where I want to use all the richness that an interactive report gives with it's out of the box functionality, then if a download is selected I need to be able to set a 'lock' on the currently selected records set before the records are downloaded.
I've had a good look around the forum and various other sites and I can't seem to find anything in this area. The nearest I can find is on the OBD tutorials the ability to add a 'Reset' button.
I know how to create custom download functionality, to which I could add the required record locking functionality and in turn link to a button, but what I don't know how to do is pull out the selection variables from the Interactive Report in order to construct my select query.
Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree and there's a better way if so any suggestions would be most welcome.

Hi,
For your issue, in SharePoint Designer, Click Custom Action->View Ribbon->Create Custom Action.
Then the extra form will show up in the Ribbon.

I've got the same result in Outlook 2013 RTM. The rule action option "Perform a custom action" is missing. Try to install the lasted version of Outlook to check the result.

Yes you can. Go to Admin --> Application Customization --> Customize Record Types

Batch change file names

How can I batch change all my file names?

I am having a similar problem in Lr4. I made the mistake of not specifying a custom name at the beginning of a big import and I now have hundreds of photographs called "untitled_date_picture name_sequence.dng" I have created a custom renaming action that I normally use for all imports except this time I forgot to specify the custom text part at the beginning of the file string.
I cannot see how I can now batch change the "untitled" part only to show correctly. If I try and create a new renaming action by adapting a custom action i.e. by making the following:
Peru_Date_File Name (or Original File Name)_Sequence, the 'file name' part is replaced by "untitiled_111002_P1000245_12" for example. I am guessing that this is becasue the 'file name' is the entire string and not just the P1000245 part only which is the name created by the camera.
Any ideas how I can batch change the 'untitled' bit only or do I have to reimport the photos all over again?
Alternatively, is there a way to do this with the file names in Finder? I'm on a Mac by the way.

Change the name of the BP in partner function

Hi everyone,
We are using one-time BP's in opportunity creation.
Users enter the BP number 100000 and change the name of the customer and save the transaction.
The process works fine in SAP GUI.
Unfortunately it does not in PCUI.
Neither in Overview tab, nor in Partners tab, can you change the name of the BP. The field comes read-only.
I checked the related field groups (OPP_PARTNER and OPP_OVERVIEW_PARTNER_50), but there is no read-only check.
Any comments?

Hi,
Please check the read-only flag set for the field group field involved here in both the transactions- CRMC_BLUEPRINT(for the standard setting) and CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C(for customer setting). In either of this you may find that the field is set as read-only. If you wish to make it an editable field, remove this setting and re-generate the layout for this field group. Also note that you may be referring to a wrong field group if it's a multi field group, you may need to go further and get all the list of field groups involved in that. I hope it helps.

Is there a way to change the user and account action names that show up in the admin/configurator pages. For example New xxx User instead of new user in the drop down menu.

You can do that by changing the property file waveset.properties or WPMessages_en.properties (which ever is applicable) and setting the the desired value for the following property
UI_USERAPPLETTABLE_NEW_USER=New xxx User
Or you can create your own custom catalog and put same value in that.

Migration Custom Action Blocks from 11.5 to 12.0

I have created some custom Action Blocks in xMII 11.5.Now i want to migrate my code to 12.0.i have taken care of the Folder structure .Do i need to change any thing in customised Action Blocks or directly can i upload to 12.0 while migrating the code?Please any one guide me.

Yes there is and the guide for this should be released to the SDN shortly. One thing to keep in mind is the include paths have changed from com.lighthammer... to com.sap and com.lhcommon
Another thing to keep in mind is that there are additional interfaces you can implement for greater control over your customization. Before I can help you any further you have to say what specifically you are doing and what error messages you are receiving.

Custom Action to change selected column's Background color for a table in CEWP

I have a OOTB CEWP. When I insert a table to this, I would like to see a context menu that would give me an option to change the selected cell's/row's/table's properties like cell padding/cell spacing/background color etc.
How can this be achieved using SP2013 ribbon's custom actions. It would be great if we could add all these properties on a separate contextual tab when row/cell/table is selected.

If the table in Content Editor Web Part, we don’t need to use SharePoint Ribbon to achieve it.
We can insert some input button and use jQuery to change the table tr/td background color.
The code like this:

Can I change the name of manual action to the user account's or some definitive name.

This is for requestor's review pending actions list. In our create user workflow, all the pending forms(incomplete create tabbed user form) are referred as manual actions.
If the requestor stops the create user form without completing it, it gets into his/her review pending action list as
-displayCreateUserfrom
-displayCreateUserform
and does not specify who the user account form that was incomplete.

How to change the name of an action

I have defined a AbstractAction and I am wanting to change the name of the action. How can I do this. setName(String name) does not work either. This is what I am doing.

Make a BrowseButtonAction constructor that takes a String. Then, pass that String to super instead of always passing "Browse".

I have done it in 11.5. This is how I did it in 11.5. (I am hoping that it has not changed in 12.1)
//funciton for specifying icon
public String GetIconPath() {
return "com/path/to/icons/imagename.png";
Store your image file in the following way
com/path/to/icons and name that as imagename.png
