Changing baseline of channels

Dear All,
I am working with NI cRIO-9215 with BNC (HI-speed USB carrier device). I am measuring 4 multiple channels. They all have the same same baseline i.e "0". I want to change the baseline of the 4 channels so that I can see them more clearly in one disply and not on top of each other. Any ideas?
Best regards.
Munir

There are at least two ways you can do this in SignalExpress.  Using either the DAQmx Assistant Step, or using the Formula Step.
To use the DAQmx Assistant Step, drop the step and select the channels you want.  For each channel, change the "Custom Scaling" option from the default of "NO SCALING" to the "CUSTOM SCALING" option.  Using a custom scale you can change the values for each channel in a number of ways.  If you choose the "Linear Scale" option you can apply the formula "y=mx+b" to each value.  If you change the "b" value you are applying a horizontal offset.  If you make "b" a different value for each channel the graph will show each channel seperately instead of stacked on top of each other.  This assumes that your original signals are directly on top of one another and you want to instead see them each seperately but still on the same graph.  You can use the "Custom Scaling" option to manipulate the channel values in a number of other ways and each channel can have its own unique scaling formula.
You can also use the SignalExpress "Formula Step" to apply an offset to each signal.  However, in this case you must drop one step for each channel as each formula step can only modify one signal so it sounds like you will need 4 formula steps to do this plus the original step you are using to get the channels initially (I assume you are using the new DAQmx Assistant Step since the cDAQ device you are using is only supported by this step).
Either way will work.

  • Change of Distribution Channel and Division

    Good day, everyone!
    Is there a transaction code that will allow me to change the distribution channel and division of the material?
    Thank you.

    Division can be changed with MM02.
    But distribution channel is a key for the sales data. You can only flag the existing sales data for deletion in MM06 and create new sales data with MM01.

  • Dynamically Change Ni HSDIO Channels

    I am currently using a PXI-6552 to generate and acquire I2C waveforms simultaneous.  I would like to know if it is possible (and how I would go about it) to dynamically change channels.  My goal is to just pass the two NI-HSDIO references (the purple variables) to a new subVI that I will create to change from 5 channels to a different set of 5 channels.  For instance:
    Pseudo-Code:
    initalize PXI sessions;
    for(i = 0; i < 10; i++)
    Set channels 0-5;
    Run generate and acquire;
    Stop acquisition;
    Set channels to 6-10;
    Run generate and acquire;
    Stop acquisition;
    Set channels to 11-15;
    Run generate and acquire;
    Stop acquisition;
    close PXI sessions;
    Basically I need the quickest way to switch acquisition channels without having to initalize and close the sessions every time.
    I am currently using the HWC functions downloaded in the .zip example from here: http://www.ni.com/example/31200/en/. (I also attached the two that are necessary for my problem).
    Init HWC Device.vi:  (also attached)
    Run HWC Device.vi:  (also attached)
    I believe the VIs I may need are Assign Dynamic Channels, Configure Idle State, and Configure Initial State.  However I am not sure if those are the only ones.  If it is possible, do I have to close the original channels and then assign more?  Or does re-calling "Assign Dynamic Channels" automatically disable all non-assigned channels?  Etc.
    The important things to note:  I am setting 5 channels at a time -- for both acquisition AND generation.   I need to close the channels and switch to 5 different channels -- for both acquisition AND generation.  All channels should be set to "z" state for high-impedance at all times.
    If you need any other information, please let me know!  Thank you in advance for any suggestions/assistance.

  • How do you change the midi channels of a region?

    Lets say i have a region recorded on midi channel 1, how do I change the notes to be midi channel 2? Thanks

    Depends.
    First of all, are you talking about a MIDI region or an Audio region (Audio regions can "be on a MIDI channel", so to speak, if they contain controllers, i.e., volume, pan, etc.).
    So let's say you're talking about MIDI regions for now.
    The first order of business is to recognize that the actual channel of the MIDI events contained in the region is determined primarily by the MIDI channel that your controller is sending on. For simplicity sake, let's say your controller sends on channel 1, and the track you're recording on is set to play MySynth on channel 1.
    If you're wanting to change the channel from 1 to 2, chances are you want to do this to assign this part to play a different sound on a multi-timbral synth. Let's say that the MySynth object -- as seen in the Environment -- is indeed a multi-timbral synth. If the synth selected for that track is currently assigned to play MySynth 1 (i.e., channel 1), just change it to MySynth 2 (from the track's menu).
    Now, if you opened the Event Editor, you'd see that the channel of the MIDI data is still on channel 1! This is normal. Logic is able to "channelize" the data when you select a destination instrument that is on a different MIDI channel from the one that the data was recorded on. So if your track is now set to play MySynth 2, you can go into the Event Editor all day and change the MIDI channel of the data, but it will still be channelized to channel 2 because that track is assigned to play MySynth on channel 2.
    There are many many reasons why you might still want to change the MIDI channel of the data in the Event Editor despite the channelizing that goes on. But without going into a whole shpiel about these kinds of applications, just know that the primary way to change the MIDI channel is to select an instrument on the desired MIDI channel.

  • Changing the radio channel on Airport Express

    I have set up a network in my house using an airport extreme which is connected to the ethernet. Then I added an airport express to extend the network upstairs. That all worked well but we did not get a good signal in our bedroom. I then bought a second airport express and added that. My computers can see the new express but it does not seem expand the network. I have done quite a bit of reading and the only thing I can see is that I maybe need to change the radio channel of the second express. However I only get the option of changing radio channels on the airport extreme base station. Am I missing something?

    When you setup the Airport Express(n) to "extend a wireless network", it extends the exact same settings as the main network. So, the Radio Mode, Security, Password and Channel will all be the same.
    It's not possible to separately change the channel on the Express set to "extend".
    You might want to experiment with the placement of the Express devices that you have set to extend by moving them closer (or possibly, further) away from the main AirPort Extreme.

  • Premiere Pro Timeline with 3 video channels and 4 audio channels, audio channels change to 8 channels when clip dragged onto timeline.

    Premiere Pro Timeline with 3 video channels and 4 audio channels, when clip dragged onto timeline audio channels change to 8 channels. Audio track mixer changes too. I edit undo to remove dragged clip and it reverts back to 4 channels of audio on timeline as does the audio mixer?  Any ideas as to why the audio channels and mixer changes?

    you can check the clip you are dragging to the timeline, if it has 8 tracks... can check by right clicking it in the project bin, choose modify, audio channels.

  • What is meaning Changing ALE Inbound Channel Registry...

    what is meaning Changing ALE Inbound Channel Registry
    can any body give sample scenario.
    thx.
    sudhakar

    Hi,
    When inbound IDocs are processed, a unique serial number is generated for each object channel (field CHNUM) and communication link. The ALE layer determines whether a given IDoc can now be posted or whether other IDocs have to be posted first. The serial number for each received IDoc is exactly one whole number lower. Any gaps in the sequence will mean that IDocs are missing, either because the transfer did not work, or because earlier IDocs were not posted successfully.
    In this case the IDoc is assigned status 66 and must be posted again with the program RBDAPP01.
    Objects are assigned to messages and channels by the application.
    Transfer errors (IDoc sequence mixed up) and inbound posting errors (IDoc cannot be posted due to Customizing errors) no longer affect the sequential order, because serialization corrects these errors.
    The inbound channel registry is maintained in transaction BD103. The serial counter number should be one less than the IDoc in the queue expected to be processed. PURCHASE ORDER message types come under this category of serialization of IDocs.
    ~ Bineah.

  • WRT54GL: setup suddenly won't let me change the wireless channel anymore

    I have a Linksys WRT54GL version 1.1. The firmware is 4.30.11 (European version).
    In the Basic Wireless Settings I can't change the Wireless Channel. It remains at channel 1, and I simply can't alter it.
    This is strange, because in earlier firmware versions, I was able to change the channel without any problems at all. I would like to continue to use this firmware version. How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance, Pjotr.
    Message Edited by pjotr123 on 04-01-2008 10:25 AM

    Not a browser thing; I tried Firefox, Epiphany and Konqueror. I found the solution, however!
    Apparently a small bug in the firmware, but it can be circumvented. Changing wireless channels becomes impossible when in the Advanced Wireless Settings, SecureEasySetup is disabled.
    So all you have to do to change wireless channels, is to enable SecureEasySetup. You have to keep it enabled, however: disabling it after a successful channel change, reverts the wireless channel to number 1 again and keeps it locked again.
    For the time being (until Linksys fixes this bug), I will have to be satisfied with channel 1. Because I dislike the one-button-security thing SES, and I prefer to define my own security manually. Also I fear an accidental button-pressing.... :-)
    Thanks anyway for your assistance.
    Greetz, Pjotr.

  • How to Change Wi-Fi Channel Used by Wireless Direct on HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium?

    I would like to change the Wi-Fi channel that is used by Wireless Direct between my Lenovo laptop and my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium to reduce interference from other nearby users of Ch. 6 in my condo complex. (I am not using a wireless router setup to connect to the printer.)
    Is this possible?  If so, how?

    Ah... ok.  You are using the Wireless Direct with the printer.  You computer is wireless to channel 6.  That is all you can do unless you changed the router's wireless channel which will only automatically switch on your computer.

  • Changing Baseline due date in MIRO before saving

    Hi - is it possible to block the BSEG-ZFBDT field from any user changes before they post MIRO?  I know that you can block this field against any changes after the document has been posted, but I also wnat to block against changes before posting to stop users from overwriting the baseline date.
    Thanks

    Hi:
            You can easily achieve that using SHD0...Enter MIRO in transaction code and in transaction variant enter ZMIRO and press create button..Enter co code and press enter twice.After filling other particulars and passing through all screens go to payment tab ..Screen for it will appear ...You can set it as display only there. Save and give your ABAP package . Save and exit and activate it in standard variant tab of SHD0.

  • Change baseline date when an accounting document is created.

    Hi ,
    When a sales order is created and billing is done baseline date in accounting document is copied from billing/invoice date by default. my requirement is to change this baseline date based on some custom logic, This is required because SAP calculates due date based on baseline date. Can anyone help me how this scenario can be handled.
    Rgds,
    harish

    Hi,
    As understand from your question, I think its better practice to change the baseline date either manually or automatically from some logic during the billing document creation.  This can be done through through the following userexit
    USEREXIT_FILL_VBRK_VBRP   or
    SDVFX004 or
    SDVFX008
    or
    As Mr.Lakshmiprasad explain in his message, make the default setting after concern with FI Consultant in OBB8.

  • Dynamically Changing Number of Channels in Chart

    Hi,
    I have a simple question about a labview programming issue. I am
    trying to modify an NI Example program for demonstrational purposes.
    I am using the Multi-plot real-time chart example program (link below)
    from the NI website. I have changed your example for the chart to
    display the data in the stacked plot mode. How could I modify it to
    vary the number of traces dynamically. Is this possible? My goal
    would be to use a series or radio buttons to control viewing 4, 8 or
    16 channels, in real time. All of the code and programs I have seen
    have channel display statically in the begining setup. Is there a
    property node of the chart that controls this?
    Thanks
