Changing Document Type after making progress with project. Is it possible?

Can I still change my document type after I already started my project? I want to change it to print type.

Just what do you mean by "print type"?
Do you mean changing the document Color Mode to CMYK color from RGB color?  If so, sure, you can do that at any time.
If you mean changing the "file type" (file format)  (say from PSD to TIFF, etc.) you just do a Save As to create a new document in whatever format you want.

Type, if we delete this & create a new we canu2019t get any info that it was created two days back.
We made Z report for this time ageing report.

You cannot change the document type after the document has been created. The only way to do this would be with an enhancement and this would create major issues with the integrity of your system

  • Change Mvt type after GI.

    Dear All,
Can i change movement type after Goods Issue n if not........... what to do? bcoz i entered wrong Mvt type while creating GI.
    can delete GI?
    or Reversal entry.....
    Thanks
    M. Zafar Saeed

    Hi,
Instead of Reversal the document, better you can cancel the material document.
During reversal, you have to enter reversal movement type and remaining details manually.
But to cancel the document, just you have to enter document no. Then system will take reversal movement type and other details automatically.
Cancel the material document, which is created at the time of GI using transcation MBST.
    Transcation : MBST
Enter material document no and enter.
just save the document. System will cancel the material document. After then, you can do GI with the proper movement type.

  • CHANGE DOCUMENT TYPE IN SERVICE PO

    Hi,
Do you know if is possible (and how) to change Document Type in PO by ME22N transaction in SERVICE purchase order in which you have created at least one services line item.
I'm not able to do it because Document type field is grey. If i shall delete all services line items that filed will became white, and so changable.
    Can you help me?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
But isn't that what I said in the first place?
the question asked if you could change the document type on a service PO and I said that it couldn't be done?
I even apologised because I thought that I was wrong when you said that it was possible, but even in 4.6 onwards you cannot change the docuemnt type when it contains service item category lines?

  • Change document type for Depreciation postings

I need to change the document type for depreciation postings due to document number conflicts resulting from inter-company code depreciation (reference OSS note 51860).  But the system will not allow me to do this because "depreciation has been posted" AC 086 (depreciation <u>has</u> been posted in prior months).  Does anyone know of a way around this?
    Thanks,
    Cynthia

    Hi Cynthia,
Have you tried Tcode AO71. You can probably change document type for dep posting by company code.
This does not work for you?
    Let me know.
You can reach me at [email protected]

  • ME013 Document type RD33 not allowed with doc. ca tegory B

When I try to post an SC, i get the following error: ME013 Document type RD33 not allowed with doc. ca tegory B.  I am on SRM 5.0.  I have maintained config (V_BBP_TARGET_OBJ) to create a PO if info complete and I have set up BSA in the org structure as ECPO.  My SC has a source assigned and looks to be complete, yet the system seems to want to create a PR and it is having difficulty doing so.  Any idea on how to troubleshoot this error message?

    Hello Richard,
I guess RD33 is a PO doc type in your R/3 system.
In that case, that means your SC tries to create a PR, but with the PO doc type RD33.
But you said that you defined BSA = ECPO. So where comes RD33 from ?
Can you tell me what is RD33 in your R/3: PR or PO doc type ?
And if you have any reference to RD33 in SRM ?

  • How to change page type after the fact

In the application builder, I click on an application and choose Details in View.
I get the list of pages I have in my app.
    The page type column has:
    Interactive Report
    Navigation Form
    Dynamic HTML
    DML Form
    Chart
    Report
How do I change this column after a page has long been created?
Specifically, I want to the change "Dynamic HTML" to something else.
    Why?
Because on this particular page, tabs do not work (error: page not found).
Buttons created among a regions items do not work (same error, page not found).
I need to use tab and buttons to go from this page to other pages.
And I am suspecting the page type may have something to do with my problem.
Thanks in advance for any pointers.

    Thanks for your consideration!
For my current app, a clinical management system,
I'd like to have, say, 1000 items.
(For other applications I am thinking about, but have no time,
nor expertise for now, I'd need millions of items,
each corresponding to a pixel of a graphic.)
Who cares if the current computers are too slow?
How about make it a parameter that can be changed
per app or per apex installation, and default to 100?
Some forms can be broken up logically, as people have helpfully suggested,
and I did follow that advise on some pages.
But other forms cannot be. People have put a lot of thought on designing
those forms, they are government or legal standards (or at least something more important
than computer performance), and people have been trained
    with those original forms.
Consider the hoops I have to jump through to get more than 100 items
on a page I am currently working on:
Generate the items (INPUT type="text" and INPUT type="checkbox") using PLSQL
    lots of htp.p('<INPUT ...>').
a JavaScript function to collect all the values on the page
and make up an XML string. submits this string to an application
process, and application process parses the XML string and does insert or update.
Another JavaScript to populate the items based on the current values of a row,
using an application process to retrieve the columns of a row.
There are about 150 items on this particular page.
All these are ok, because I was aware of the restriction of 100.
And because I wanted to generate my own HTML to mimic the original
    form anyway.
Then things started to go weird.
I need buttons to go back to another page. and I use tabs.
Buttons to go back from this page,
when a button is created with "Create a button in a region position",
    it works fine.
When a button is created with "Create a button displayed among this region's items",
it does not work, and I get HTTP 404, https://.../apex/wwv_flow.accept, page cannot be found.
But I need a button to work like the one created with "Create a button in a region position",
but displayed like the one created with "Create a button displayed among this region's items".
This is still not too bad. I saw the difference between the two kinds of buttons.
I copied the HTML code for the button "Create a button in a region position",
and used a display only item to create a Back button where I wanted:
    '<table class="t15Button" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0"><tr><td class="t15L"><img src="/i/themes/theme_15/button-l.gif"/></td>'||
    '<td class="t15C">Back</td>'||
    '<td class="t15R"><img src="/i/themes/theme_15/button-r.gif"/></td></tr></table>'
Here P145_BACK holds the page number to which I want this page to go back to.
Then I noticed that the tabs did not work any more. same error, page not found.
That's is when I got a little frustrated and posted for help on the forum.
Then I begin to undo my steps, and
by lucky accident, I noticed that, if none of the checkboxes is checked,
the tabs work fine. If at least one is checked, I get this error, page not found.
My current solution is to add a function of my own in the doSubmit(B) function in file apex_3_1.js,
    which unchecks all checkboxes (o.checked=false).
And now, from this page of about 150 items,
the tabs are ok, and I have a button that is similar to one
created with "Create a button displayed among this region's items", except I created myself
    using HTML.
I think this trick of using a custom function in doSubmit(), that unchecks or even hides
    INPUT type="text" items (o_div.style.visibility = "hidden"; o_div.style.display = "none";)
should work in general. this function is only invoked when the user clicks the tab,
or buttons among a region's items.
Somebody said regarding restrictions on drugs or sex.....
you will not make people stop, you just make it harder or more expensive.
Same here and many other things, a restriction is just making things harder.
People will try to get around it.
Now that I have a solution, and I am aware of the problem, I'll calm down and
go back to my own thing for now.

  • Problem changing Document Type in tx. COMM_PCAT_ADM

    Hi experts,
In tx. COMM_PCAT_ADM, in a catalog area, i double click on Item overview, then i click on Item Documents from Item Details. There I can see all the folders with their images in case they have any.
I have to change the document type in the item's properties. If i do this at folder level properties, the image keeps ok But if i change the document type at the image level properties, the image disappears from my "tree". What i need is the first case (the image mustn't disappear).
Does any body know how can i solve it ??? Is it possible ?? or in case the user changes the document type at the image level, he will have to attach again the image manually ???
    Thanks in advance !!!!
    Regards,

    Hi Maria,
Did you figure out how to best implement an authorization check in transaction COMM_PCAT_ADM? I am facing exactly the same problem and would appreciate your input.

  • Change document type without changing file extension

I've recently started using Dreamweaver CS3 after nearly a decade on Homesite (which regrettably wouldn't work on my new Windows 7 machine). I like Dreamweaver's code view but find it lacking in some of the flexibility and intelligence that Homesite had.
Case in point: I work on a rather large site that uses Classic ASP. Most of the site uses .html file extensions, but we have these configured to be processed through the ASP engine. When editing the pages on this site, Dreamweaver sees the .html file extension and assumes they're regular HTML documents, and color codes them accordingly, but it can't figure out ASP comments and code blocks and mangles the color coding. If I try to change the Document Type (in the Application > Server Behaviors panel), Dreamweaver insists on changing the file extension too.
It appears I can modify Dreamweaver's MMDocumentTypes.xml file so that it thinks .html files are ASP. But I don't want to do this globally for ALL the sites I work on, only for this particular site. It would be really nice if I could change the document type definitions on a per-site basis, or to change the document type for a file without having to change the file extension. Surely I'm not the first person to use non-standard file extensions on webpages. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I think you have to disable it in your Operating system:

  • Change document type (BKPF-BLART)

    Hello,
    I have the following problem:
One of our customers has established a new process. for an invoice which was posted with MIRO he wants to change the accounting document type (bkpf-blart)  depending on the purchase order type.
My first idea was to use the <i>BTE 00001120 DOCUMENT POSTING:  Field substitution header/items</i>.
There I have acces to all fields I need for my condition check. Unfortunately I have detect, that the strucutre for the substitutable fields (BKPF_SUBST) doesn't contain the field BLART.
Is there another way to change the document type?
    Regards,
    Sven

    Hi Sven,
You can actually create your own substitutable fields by fiddling with table GB01. If there is a record already existing for BLART you have to make the field BEXCLUDE blank. If not add the record with BLART (you can check some other substitutable field as reference). Use SE16 or create a Z program. Once this is done it can be substituted.
Note however there is an SAP  note stating that the customer is responsible for such changes. However I have seen companies use this for BLART (and sometimes even HKONT!) and there has been no problems.

  • Requirement for changing document type

    Hello Gurus,
when I want to change sales document type, there is a requirement as following :
" When you change the sales order type for a sales document that has already been saved, both sales document types must belong to the same number range."
    my question is:
       1. can sales order type be changed ?  most recommend to remove previouse sales order, and create new sales order with another sales order type.
       2. what does " the same number range" mean in the above quoted word ?
    thanks very much

Different Order Type can share the same number range. In the case, if Sale Order Type is saved in Transaction, then it cannot be chaged.
The number range is controlled through Number Range Object, which is maintained in Sales Order Type (T.Code: VOV8).
    Configuration steps are as under:
    Normal Sales Order Cycle:-
    Step 1: Sales Document Type
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales > Sales Documents >
    Sales Document Header:
    1. Sales Document Type:The sales document types represent the different business transactions, such as Inquiry, Quotation, Sales Order, etc. To create new sales order type, always copy as with reference to similar sales order. If possible use standard sales order.
    2. Define Number Ranges For Sales Documents: Maintain number range with discussion with core team.
    3. Assign Sales Area To Sales Document Types:
    A. Combine sales organizations / Combine distribution channels / Combine divisions: Ensure to maintain these, else Sales Order creation will give error.
    B. Assign sales order types permitted for sales areas: Assign only required Sales Order Types to required Sales Area. This will minimize selection of Sales Order Type as per sales area.
    Sales Document Item:
    1. Define Item Categories: If possible use Standard Item Category. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Item Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving item category: Sales Document Type + Item Category Group + Usage + Higher Level Item Category = Item Category
    Schedule Line:
    1. Define Schedule Line Categories: If possible use Standard Schedule Lines. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Assign Schedule Line Categories: If possible, use standard. Formula for deriving Schedule Line: Item Category + MRP Type / No MRP Type.
    Step 2:
    IMG > Logistic Execution > Shipping > Deliveries >
    1. Define Delivery Types: If possible use Standard Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Item Categories for Deliveries: If possible use Standard Item Categories for Delivery Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    3. Define Number Ranges for Deliveries: Ensure to maintain number range.
    Step 3:
IMG > Sales and Distribution > Billing >
    1. Define Billing Types: If possible use Standard Billing Type. Incase if required to create new, copy as from standard & maintain New.
    2. Define Number Range For Billing Documents: Ensure to maintain number range.
    3. Maintain Copying Control For Billing Documents: Maintain relevant copy controls such as Sales Order to Billing, Deliver to Billing, etc.
Note: Ensure that Copy Control settings are done
Sales Order to Sales Order (QT --> OR): VTAA
Sales Order to Delivery (OR --> LF): VTLA
Sales Order to Billing (OR --> F1): VTFA
    Delivery to Billing(LF --> F2): VTFL
Billing to Sales Order (F2 --> RE): VTAF
The configuration differs from scenario to scenario & requirement of the client.
