Changing Font in SlideShow Template

Good morning,
In creating an iWeb page I have chosen the Black>Photos theme. After clicking on one of the photos in my album I am taken to an enlargement of said photo with buttons from 'Back to Album', 'Previous' and 'Next'. I would like to change the font and color of these buttons. Is this possible?
Thanks for you time,
John

Thanks you very much for your detailed help. It seems I will have a lot to learn before I attempt any of your 3 suggestions. What is a CSS file and how might I go about learning to make one?
CSS controls style sheets on the page: http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/
Photos page CSS file is in your photosPage_files folder, but as I mentioned you need to know iweb widgets also.
By default, photos page has three widget: header controls, detail view and footer controls widgets, but depend on if and how many other widgets such as nav bar, HTML Snippets... iweb build CSS files accordingly.
CSS and iweb widgets (javascript) are difficult to understand, because of the abstract nature. A lot reading and asking questions, W3.org is a good place to start.

  • Can I change font on slideshows?

    I have been using the default Travel slideshow template for throwing up photos.
    The problem is that in the slideshow viewer, the text is pretty much illegibly small. I just want to make the size larger. The slideshow seems to have it's own setting for fonts since the font and size are totally different from on the actual page itself.
    I know that if I hit Shift-cmd-+ it makes the font bigger, but it's tough to explain that to everyone, windows and mac, etc.
    If there's anyway to change that I'd love to know.
    many thanks

    Enzo,
    I assume you are talking about font size for the caption in the default, non-.Mac SlideShow, and not the captions in the Travel Photos template. To change the font size of the default non-.Mac SlideShow, after you publish your site from iWeb to a folder, you must open the "SlideShow.html" page, which is in the "SlideShow_assets" folder, using a text editor. If you use TextEdit, open up the TextEdit Preferences window (from the TextEdit menu), then click on "Open and Save" and make sure to check the "Ignore rich text commands in HTML files" button; also go down to the selection option menu of "Opening files:" which is right under "Plain text file encoding" and change it from "Automatic" to "Unicode (UTF-8)"; you should probably do that also for the "Saving files:" part too.
    Now, with the SlideShow.html page opened in TextEdit, you will see the following at the top of the html code, right after the line with the page title:
    < style type="text/css">
    .caption {text-align:center;color:black;font-size:10px;font-family:helvetica,sans-serif;font-weight:bold;}
    You can change the font size here (I marked it in bold italics above), I find changing it to "font-size:18px;" works well.
    Hope that helps,

  • Changing Fonts in Master Templates

    I apologize in advance, this is pretty basic stuff and I'm sure its covered in the manual but I am up against a deadline and I normally never deal with Motion or Master Templates in FCP but its a client thing
    I just want to change the font of a Motion Template. I laid the template into my Timeline and did the open as copy thing which got me into Motion. I'm stumped there. There must be an easy way to change that default font. I've tried changing the font of the "Title Info" I've tried creating a whole new title but I can't seem to erase the default and get my own, or I can only change the fault of one of the titles
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    In the Layers tab, select the text layer you want to change. In the HUD, change the font.

  • Change font of blog templates

    Hi there
    This might be a bit of stupid question, but I simply can't figure out how I can change the font size of my blog page.
    I can change the font and size in the blog entries page, but it does not reflect on the Blog page itself.
    Thanks

    Fonts in blog main/summary page is set in the .css file, you can only change it there, see this thread:

  • How can I change the counter symbols for the slideshow templates in Muse?

    How can I change the counter symbols for the slideshow templates in Muse? Currently they are obviously normal text characters. So, how can I change them to filled circles, for example?

    Hi Aish,
    Thank you very much. This was very helpful. I am still new to Muse and try to find my way through all the features and possibilities. I like it very much so far.
    Does Muse support ‘liquid” design as well?
    Thank you !
    Best regards,

  • Adding transitions to Flash Photo Slideshow template?

    I'm working on generating a template i can use to just drop in photos from shoots for a blog where i discuss the types of projects my team does.
    I like the flash slideshow template because once it's all set up the way you want it you can just drop all the photos in on import.
    I got everything pretty much tweaked out how i want it - got rid of the controller ball and put the controls and counter on the frame, got it to auto start with the pause/play toggle working correctly (thanks to this forum)
    BUT
    now i want to add a transition between photos.
    I'm thinking I want to extend the number of frames each photo is on stage for add a new layer with a white or black solid and have that fade in and out so that i really can just import in the new images in each time and not require more tweaking but i can't figure out how to change the advance code to say something like "current frame + 15" and set the counter up so it's not affected by the new frames...
    I'd like to leave the photo key frames as unmodified as possible so that in the future it really is just a question of dropping in new photos for each blog post...
    ideas?

    Jim,
    You have two ways of doing this,
    1.You can put the pictures into Photoshop / Photoshop Element and use the text tool to add your captions.
    You can do it in any color or font and then drag it right into iDVD.
    2.or do it in iMovie - You have a wide assortment of titles in iMovie. Just uncheck the over black square, I would use the Subtitle, write in the space provided and then pull down the word T Subtitle in front of the picture where you want the titles to appear. Adjust the time with the bar on top. You have a choice of color also. Then put it into iDVD.

  • Changing Font Box Sizes

    I want to delete some font boxes and expand others in one of the templates for a book in iPhoto 6. Can this be done or am I stuck using the tiny, unreadable, fonts that are supplied with this template. I know how to change font sizes but need to change the size of the font box to accommodate the change.
    Thanks in advance for any help you might suggest.
    Ted

    OTW:
    Unfortunately that can't be done. If you have an advanced image editor like Photoshop Elements you can create a full page, 8.5 x 11 x 300 dpi, canvas and add you photos and text where ever you want and then use that file in a one photo per page layout.
    If either of your Macs came with OmniGraffle you can use it do create multiple photo and text box layout.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • App. Express -- Change font size in the item label.

    I would like to size the item label so I did this and it did not work
    in the label I put <span style="font-size:12px;">ITEM 1</span> and
    <span style="font-weight:bold;">ITEM 1</span>
    What wrong?

    Hello,
    The basic “trick” here is to duplicate the proper label template (you can of course change the original label template, but that’s less advisable) in order to add an ID to the text/link part.
    In my example, the template is base on the “Optional Label with Help” template, and the “Before Label” field contains the following:
    <label for="#CURRENT_ITEM_NAME#" tabindex="999"><a class="t2OptionalwithHelp" id="L_#CURRENT_ITEM_NAME#" href="javascript:popupFieldHelp('#CURRENT_ITEM_ID#','&SESSION.')" tabindex="999">In order to maintain ID uniqueness, the new ID just adds “L_” to the item name.
    Now I have direct access to the text/link, and I can manipulate it using JavaScript. In the example, I added the following to the region footer:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $x('L_P160_ITEM2').style.fontSize = '20px';
    $x('L_P160_ITEM3').style.fontSize = '30px';
    $x('L_P160_ITEM3').style.color = 'green';
    </script>Regards,
    Arie.
    Hi Carl,
    As usual I was busy typing and didn’t see your reply. I agree that a specific example would be the best and easiest way to help.

  • Changing font default in P.S.E 5.0

    Could anyone please advise me  as to how I  can reset the default font whilst creating a slide show

    I don't have PSE 5 available to me at the moment  - but I think that there may be a setting for the Font within the Slideshow Preferences.
    So I recommend that you try the following
    -- look at the menus available in the Slideshow Editor window to find an entry for examining/changing the Slideshow Preferences
    -- change the setting for font in those preferences and save the new preferences
    -- experiment to see if the font within the current slide show is changed as you wish
    Note: Because I usually make changes to the Slideshow Preferences before I start placing my slides and adding text, I am not sure if you can make a change (such as Font) part way throught the slide show and have it take immediate effect on only your new text.  Therefore, I recommend that you experiment on a "trial" slideshow instead of taking my recommended actions above on a long slide show on which you have done significant work.

  • Lightroom slideshow templates

    How can I have a slideshow with various templates in the one show?
    PC based LR1.1

    You mean have the slideshow start out with one slideshow template design and
    then say 10 minutes in it changes to a different slideshow template?
    No this can't be done. You might be able to combine two seperate pdf
    slideshows generated in Lightroom using Adobe Acrobat. But, this can't be
    done in Lightroom.

  • Modern Photo Slideshow template help, please...

    Hi guys and gals... Happy Thanksgiving! Now, back to work,
    right? Yikes!
    First time questioner, and I think I've done my due diligence
    on searches, etc, but...
    I am getting back into Flash usage after a few years off, so
    I am pretty rusty. I'm stepping on the
    Modern Photo Slideshow template that comes with CS3, and am
    almost done! I've resized, deconstructed the god-awful controller
    down to something simple and elegant, added all my client's 27
    images, set the publisher to play=true...
    BUT, I can't seem to break the code: I'm trying to get it to
    start in Autoplay=1 mode (play on download), but it keeps skipping
    the first frame. I've tried quite a few very simple code tweaks,
    like changing various zeroes to ones, but can't seem to find the
    rosetta stone.
    If I simply add a null frame to the beginning, so that image
    1 is at frame 2, it goofs up the framecount, as well as the looping
    elegance. I guess that would be fine, if I could figure out the
    proper syntax for making the framecount display (i.e.: 1 of 27)
    equal to framecount-1 to compensate for the null frame at the
    beginning. However, that 's just a Big Hammer method of solving my
    problem. Surely there is a more effective and proper way?
    Summary: All I really want it to do is start in
    autoplayStatus=1 without blowing past the first image.
    Anyone know if this is a simple code tweak? I'm so close, I'd hate
    to switch to a different template, as the client loves what I've
    currently got.
    Thanks so much!

    Found the answer: when you double-click the mc, controller
    sitting on the stage, there is a frame script that has about 58
    lines of code. Sitting at the bottom is
    autoplayStatus = 0;. When you set the value to 1 (one) and
    test the movie, is starts in auto-play mode.

  • Instant Movie Slideshow Templates

    Pre8 comes with two Instant Movie templates for slideshows.  One is Pan and Zoom and I believe the other is a wedding theme.  I like usng the Instant Movie feature for slideshows but the selection in Pre8 is paltry.  Does Pre9 come with additionals slideshow templates?  Does anyone know where to go for good quality 3rd party Instant Movie slideshow templates?

    Not really. Plus it varies from month to month, as they take down old templates and put up new.
    In my experience, though, it's not been more than a handful of templates over the course of a year. But that may change also.
    BTW, you do know that there are four different ways to build a slideshow in Premiere Elements, right? I go through them in one of my tutorials on this page on Muvipix.com.
    http://muvipix.com/pe9.php
    Three of these are automatic or semi-automatic.
    But if having a wide variety of fully automatic slideshow makers is a dealbreaker for you, I'd say you're better looking elsewhere. Sorry.

  • How do I change font and colors back to default?

    I have changed the font and color of the text through the tools button and the options button and the content tab. I find nothing telling me how to change the font and colors back to default font and colors. Can you advise me? I'm using Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Thanks.

    Hi Brenda19605,
    You can use this article to set the fonts and colors: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-fonts-and-colors-websites-use?esab=a&s=font&r=0&as=s
    The default settings for the font are in this article:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Some%20text%20shows%20up%20bold%20after%20upgrade
    Unfortunately for the default colors has no good reference. But for text it is black (most lower left) color, background is white (most upper left color). Unvisited links is blue (column 8, row 5) and visited link is purple (column 9, row 5).
    Let me know if you need anymore help!

  • Email will not let me change fonts all of a sudden.

    Email will not let me change fonts all of a sudden.  It says I don't have the neccesay permissions in ~/library/preferences.  this has just happened recently.

    Who is your email provider?
    You can try resetting your iPad by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. Try again to see if the problem persists.
    If yes, try deleting the mail account and adding it again.

  • How to change font/ font color etc in a graphic object using JCombobox?

    Hello
    My program im writing recently is a small tiny application which can change fonts, font sizes, font colors and background color of the graphics object containing some strings. Im planning to use Jcomboboxes for all those 4 ideas in implementing those functions. Somehow it doesnt work! Any help would be grateful.
    So currently what ive done so far is that: Im using two classes to implement the whole program. One class is the main class which contains the GUI with its components (Jcomboboxes etc..) and the other class is a class extending JPanel which does all the drawing. Therefore it contains a graphics object in that class which draws the string. However what i want it to do is using jcombobox which should contain alit of all fonts available/ font sizes/ colors etc. When i scroll through the lists and click the one item i want - the graphics object properties (font sizes/ color etc) should change as a result.
    What ive gt so far is implemented the jcomboboxes in place. Problem is i cant get the font to change once selecting an item form it.
    Another problem is that to set the color of font - i need to use it with a graphics object in the paintcomponent method. In this case i dnt want to create several diff paint.. method with different property settings (font/ size/ color)
    Below is my code; perhaps you'll understand more looking at code.
    public class main...
    Color[] Colors = {Color.BLUE, Color.RED, Color.GREEN};
            ColorList = new JComboBox(Colors);
    ColorList.addActionListener(new ActionListener() {
                public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent ev) {
                     JComboBox cb = (JComboBox)ev.getSource();
                    Color colorType = (Color)cb.getSelectedItem();
                    drawingBoard.setBackground(colorType);
              });;1) providing the GUI is correctly implemented with components
    2) Combobox stores the colors in an array
    3) ActionListener should do following job: (but cant get it right - that is where my problem is)
    - once selected the item (color/ font size etc... as i would have similar methods for each) i want, it should pass the item into the drawingboard class (JPanel) and then this class should do the job.
    public class DrawingBoard extends JPanel {
           private String message;
           public DrawingBoard() {
                  setBackground(Color.white);
                  Font font = new Font("Serif", Font.PLAIN, fontSize);
                  setFont(font);
                  message = "";
           public void setMessage(String m) {
                message = m;
                repaint();
           public void paintComponent(Graphics g) {
                  super.paintComponent(g);
                  //setBackground(Color.RED);
                  Graphics2D g2 = (Graphics2D) g;
                  g2.setRenderingHint
                  g2.drawString(message, 50, 50);
           public void settingFont(String font) {
                //not sure how to implement this?                          //Jcombobox should pass an item to this
                                   //it should match against all known fonts in system then set that font to the graphics
          private void settingFontSize(Graphics g, int f) {
                         //same probelm with above..
          public void setBackgroundColor(Color c) {
               setBackground(c);
               repaint(); // still not sure if this done corretly.
          public void setFontColor(Color c) {
                    //not sure how to do this part aswell.
                   //i know a method " g.setColor(c)" exist but i need to use a graphics object - and to do that i need to pass it in (then it will cause some confusion in the main class (previous code)
           My problems have been highlighted in the comments of code above.
    Any help will be much appreciated thanks!!!

    It is the completely correct code
    I hope that's what you need
    Just put DrawingBoard into JFrame and run
    Good luck!
    public class DrawingBoard extends JPanel implements ActionListener{
         private String message = "message";
         private Font font = new Font("Serif", Font.PLAIN, 10);
         private Color color = Color.RED;
         private Color bg = Color.WHITE;
