Changing Import Parameter for GetList

Hi All,
i have a getlist bapi which has a import parameter. I have mapped a constant in the BEA (Backend adapter).
if i want to change the import parameter in the BEA i have to activate the BEAagain.
is there a way to change the import parameter without activating the BEA again?
we are using Mobile 7.1 SP08 Server.
Thanks and Regards,
Joseph Beevin.

Hi,
the default value is called default value because you define it once and then it stays forever. So based on that default value MI7.1 generates some entries in tables, code,... If you change this entry in the SDOE_WB, even it is the Default value and not the mapping - it is obvious that you need to regenerate this Backend adapter - cause you press the save button to save the backend adapter and so it is changed and this change needs to be reflected in the code.
By the way: cause you only change the backend adapter there is no need to reimport the datamodel into your NDWI.
And keep in mind: Changing the Default value can happen at development time but should not happen at runtime, cause then you have a design issue and in Production you should not be allowed to change any bit of the Data Model other then by transport!
So the first question is: why do you really want to change the default value - it seems to be a big issue - and perhaops we need to find another solution for you.

Oliver

  • How to change NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS parameter for OWB SQLLDR mapping

    Hi,
    How to change the NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS database paramater for my SQLLDR mapping?
    I have an input flat file which has numeric data with ',' as decimal separator means NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting as ',.'
    However in my target oracle schema, the decimal separator is '.' which has NLS parameter set as NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS='.,'
    My OWB version is 10.2.
    When I checked the configuration parameters of the sql loader mapping and the flat file operator, There is facility to change language, but not NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting.
    I do not want to change the NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting in my database as there are many other projects which will get impacted.
    We got a work around as below using external table & premap procedure. But as I have many mappings already developed, It is not possible to use this workaround.
    - I can use premapping procedure with external tables to populate.
    - NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting can be changed using procedure for that particular session.
    Is there a way to change NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS setting only for that particular mapping/mapping session?
    Thanks,
    SriGP

    At this moment , this is not possible . You can see metalink note ID 268906.1.
    It says:
    Currently, external tables always use the setting of NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS

  • What are the import parameter for FM SWE_EVENT_CREATE

    Hello all,
    I want to use the function module SWE_EVENT_CREATE in order to create an event in order to execute a process chain which is triggered by this event.
    Beside the EVENT I have also OBJTYPE and OBJKEY as import parameter, but I do not know what should I enter there.
    In the TA sm64 where I have created the event, I could not find any other information than the event name.
    Any ideas would be great.
    Best regards,

    Hello Stefan,
    for OBJTYPE and EVENT see table SWETYPECOU
    OBJKEY usually is an idoc-number (edidc-docnum)

  • Passing a table to an import parameter for a FM

    Hello experts,
    The goal is to update the date of  a record from the database table ZSHIPM_PLAN05.
    In   ABAP dictionnany I define a structure ZST_SHIPM_PLAN05 based on a database table in ZSHIPM_PLAN05
    Further I define a variable import in function Module(FM): IV_SHIPMENT type ZST_SHIPM_PLAN05.
    But I get the following error when compiling the FM: "IV_SHIPMENT" is neither specified under "TABLES"  nor defined as a internal table.
    Thank you for your Help.
    In the top_include I have :

    Hi,
    Assign IV_SHIPMENT under changing or tables Parameter because import and Export statement holds a field not structure or table.

  • Changing import settings for brightness etc

    Hi there,
    I'm importing RAW files from my Canon 5D, and they all come in with the brightness set to +50 and the contrast to +25, the blacks are +5, and the tone curve has a slight "S" curve on it. I appreciate this is probably a "good thing", but how do I get LR to import with entirely neutral settings?
    Many thanks
    J

    ThEse are genera;ized settings that aDobe figures will work for many users. Do your own presets, more than one if you have to, and apply appropriately on import.
    If you have more than one camera you might want more than one for the differences, for instance.

    Please help me friends, present requirement is like this : change the Parameter into Select-Option.
    Here they are using one function module, this function module import parameter taking single value, how  loop this function module with in this select-option.

    hi,
      You can first the field values using the select statement and then loop that internal table and pass the values to the function module.
    try this
    *PARAMETERS p_fictr LIKE fmfctr-fictr.
    select-options: s_fictr for fmfctr-fictr.
    START-OF-SELECTION.
    Move the select options to internal tables (import parameter for fn)
    move_sel_option : sel_buk s_bukrs ,
    sel_pern s_pernr ,
    sreinr s_reinr ,
    spdatv s_pdatv ,
    sberei s_berei .
    select fictr
       from fmfctr
       into tabel itab
    where fictr in s_fictr.
    loop at itab.
    Call the function to get all trips corresponding to sel criteria
    CALL FUNCTION 'ZHR_GET_FUND_TRIPS'
    EXPORTING
    *p_fictr = p_fictr
    p_fictr = itab-fictr
    p_sub = p_sub
    TABLES
    s_bukrs = s_bukrs
    s_pernr = s_pernr
    s_reinr = s_reinr
    s_pdatv = s_pdatv
    s_berei = s_berei
    i_trip = i_trip
    EXCEPTIONS
    OTHERS = 1.
    endloop.

    The table looks looks this:
    DATA: zvpshub_tab TYPE SORTED TABLE OF /bic/pzvpshub WITH UNIQUE KEY
    /bic/zvpshub objvers /bic/zvpsoursy INITIAL SIZE 0.
    Thanks a lot

    Hi Clemens,
    <u>in SE11</u> I defined a datatype of Type Structure: ZVPSHUB_ROW.
    <u>in SE11</u> I defiend a datatype of Type Tabletype: ZVPSHUB_TAB,
    bases on Rowtype ZVPSHUB_ROW.
    <u>in SE 80</u> I creates an FM with a CHANGEING Parameter referencing ZVPSHUB_TAB:
    FUNCTION ZVP_SHUB_TAB_LOAD.
    ""Lokale Schnittstelle:
    *"  CHANGING
    *"     VALUE(SHUB_TAB) TYPE  ZVPSHUB_TAB
    <u>in RSA1</u> in BW in the Startroutine of the Upload Rules in defined the table:
    DATA:shub_tab          TYPE zvpshub_tab.
    <u>in RSA1</u> in BW in the Startroutine of the Upload Rules in defined the table:
    DATA:shub_tab          TYPE zvpshub_tab.
    <u>in RSA1</u> in BW in the Startroutine i called the FM
    CALL FUNCTION 'ZVP_SHUB_TAB_LOAD'
        CHANGING
          shub_tab = shub_tab.
    and it works ..

    Administration - Marketing -> Import, you can set a parameter value "Import mode" for what to do in case of duplication as "update existing records", "Import new records". The final report of this import is presented as a text file that can be viewed in Business Administration - Marketing -> Import -> Exceptions. Whatever the exception, including duplication import occurs during import and recorded in a text file.   What are the fields that determine the duplicity? How I can I can change those?

    You will be returned anything that is in the option's value parameter. What is displayed in the dropdown and what is put in the value attribute do NOT need to be the same, so maybe you should start there.

  • Using Field-Symbols in a user exit to change the importing parameter

    Please don't ask why but I need to use a user exit, changing the importing parameter.  I decided that I could do this using field-symbols.
    Please excuse my ignorance but I have never used field symbols for something such as this.
    Here is my goal:  Loop through an internal table (im_document-item).  When I find what I need I want to make a change to this line (not so hard if I am looping into a field symbol) and also append a line to the end of the table im_document-item.
    I have the following so far:
      DATA: wa_item TYPE accit,
            wa_item_out type ACCIT_SUB.
    FIELD-SYMBOLS: <document> type acc_document,
                   <accit> TYPE ACCIT.
    LOOP AT im_document-item ASSIGNING <accit> where saknr = '0000211000'.
    * Modify the curent line
    wa_item = <accit>
    * Append a new line into table im_document-item.
    ENDLOOP.
    How can I use field-symbols to append a line to this table?  Please note that the table in question (im_document-item) is an importing only parameter.
    Regards,
    Davis

    that will allow me to append an initial line with <accit> pointing to the line. Therefore I just have to modify <accit> and the new line will then have my changes?
    Yep, that is exactly it.    So after the APPEND statement, simply fill the fields of the <accit>.
    append initial line to im_document-item ASSIGNING <accit>.
    <accit>-field1 = 'Blah'.
    <accit>-field2 = 'Blah'.

  • Import Parameter as Select Option for a FM in ECC 6.0

    Hi All,
    Can someone help me get the import parameter of a function module to be of the type select-options( the way it is used in reports) in ECC 6.0.
    Thanks for all your help in advance.
    Divya

    What I do is as following....
    I create two parameters...One for <b>START</b> and the other for <b>END</b>....Then, inside my FM I create a RANGE...
      DATA: BEGIN OF r_datum OCCURS 1,
            sign(1),
            option(2),
            low  TYPE vekp-vhilm,
            high TYPE vekp-vhilm,
            END OF r_datum.
    Passing the START to low and END to high....

  • How to change heading text  for parameter field of type date

    Hi,
        After creating a parameter field with the type " Date Time" when I open the report for entering the parameter then it displays  the given parameter with the following text:
    " Please enter Date in format "yyyy-mm-dd". "
    I want to change it to some other text like as:
    " You have to enter the date and time in format yyyy-mm-dd . "
    Is there any way by which I can change this given header to some other text.
    Let me know if anyone needs some more information in this regard so as to solve my given query soon.

    Hi Garrett,
                  Well first of all I can change only the prompt text that is user defined. I cannot change any parameter as of now whose type is let suppose Date. Since in this case the Business Object itself shows the text which is something like this " Please enter Date in format "yyyy-mm-dd". " .
       Here I want to change this given text to some other format like " You have to enter the date in the format yyyy-mm-dd" or in any other manner.
    Also the current Crystal Report version which I am using is 11.0.0.1282.

  • Importing a document from Word.  How do I change the tabs for the whole document?

    I am new to pages.  In importing a document from Word, the tabs are all messed.  The help topics work fine for adding/changing tabs... only it applies to a single line.  I cannot locate info on how to change the settings for the document.  Any help?

    d,
    A set of Tab stops applies to a Paragraph (not a line). A change in stops will apply to all paragraphs selected. A good way to make all your paragraph styles the same is to set up one paragraph the way you want it, then Format > Copy Paragraph Style. Then Select the entire document (Command-A) and Format > Paste Paragraph Style.
    Shortcuts for Copy Paragraph Style and Paste Paragraph Style are Shift-Command-C and Shift-Command-V.

    So, i have bad news for you : you'll have to rebuild again.
    Meanwhile i have excellent news for you : there's an online tool made by Johannes Henseler called Sidecar xml which builds the necessary xml file for you, sort of what you find in the Digital Publishing Folio Editor website, but saves it in your Folio folder.
    Next time you import all your folder (with that file), it will place all the necessary information, and even reorder the articles.
    Build once, play many times.

  • Remote-enabled FM - empty value for import parameter

    Hi,
    I've created a remoted-enabled FM in ECC, to be called by an ABAP program in CRM.
    The FM has a import parameter of table (of char type). When it's called by the client with a value, but the debugging shown that the value is empty.
    Is there any special attention needed when defining table type for the import parameter?
    Any help would be much appreciated.
    p/s: Apology for te newbie question.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    When you declare parameters under the TABLES tab, you are actually declaring a global table with header-line in the FM. Be sure you re sending/checking the values in the table, not the header line.
