My computer is a Macintosh, probably not relevent, but my Skype contract will be up next April. I've recently decided that I would like to change my area code to a different one. Would anyone happen to know if I'd be able to change amid the present contract, or would I have to wait till my contract is up? Thank you for any insight. - Elita

The best thing for you to do would be to cancel your current Skype Number subscription immediately, which does not cancel the use of the subscription itself and therefore works until the end of its term, but rather cancels a renewal.
Then, you can start a new Skype Number subscription using the area code you wish.
Skype Customer Service agents have no facility to change a Skype Number let alone parts of it; the numbers are obtained from various companies that provide fixed line (land line) numbers to Skype. Whether we are speaking of a Skype Number or any other fixed or mobile line number, think of it this way: the number you wish to use, once you change the area code, may already be in use by someone else!

How can I change the area code for DVD's?

I brought some DVD's from Germany and watched them on my Mac Pro. After the DVD was involved in the drive I have to change the area code for the drive. I don't know why but I did it. I could watch the film. Today I like to watch a DVD from US but after the DVD was involved I got a message "the area code does'nt match the DVD code" and I can not change the area code.
What can I do to watch both arts of DVD's. Isn't that normal to have DVD's all over the world?

I detected your frustration. Yes this is a user forum as you have stated. it could be that the absence of dial assist may be at the heart of your problem. I do not understand why it is not there and I have used my phone in other countries and have not experienced the problem you have.

I moved from Tennessee to Louisiana a few years ago and opted to keep my Tennessee phone number to make it easy for my friends back home to keep in touch. Circumstances have changed and I now need to change to a Louisiana area code. I would like to minimize the inconvenience for my contacts by changing the area code only. I have checked to see if my number with the Louisiana area code is available and it is. Will Verizon allow me to make this change?

I do agree that would be great if that could be done. However, We are unable to search for specific numbers. You will provide your desired area code and a list prefix options will populate ex. XXX-XXX. The last four digits of the number are not present until you confirm you would like to change the number. Therefore, we can try to get as close as possible, but there is no way to enter in the desired number you would like. You can look at the prefix options on your MyVerizon site as well by signing in and navigating to Account>Plan. I hope this helps you.

Different are codes also have different exchanges. It's likely your exchange( that's the first 3 numbers after the area code ) wouldn't in one of the other area codes. And even if it was it's also likely that number is taken.

8820 Change Contact Automatic Area Code

Whenever using any cell phone, when you add a new contact, the phone associates an area code with that contact automatically. Also, if you just try to just dial a 7 digit number, it will automatically associate an area code with the phone number.
I'm curious, does anyone know how you change that area code? I haven't found anything in the documentation and I haven't been able to find any options that would allow you to change it.

Is there anyway to import dvd video to the computer?about area code?

I was trying to watch a japanese DVD that i bought long time ago with the computer, and the dvd player that was installed on the computer said that the since the area code of the dvd is different, i had to change the player's code to number 2, and i would have only 4 opportunities to change the area code. Is there anyway i could import the video file to the mac so i won't have to put the dvd in and use up my opportunity to change the area code? or is there anyway to increase the number of opportunities to change the area code?
i know that this question is not related to idvd program-.-but couldn't find anyhere to post tis question. thanks!!!!!

Unforunately, your answers are no and no. The only course you have is to change the settings and rip the DVD then change settings back, but you will lesson the opportunities to change. There is no way that I know of to increase the number of times you can change the settings, unless there is a hack somewhere, but this is not the forum to find one. You can burn the ripped DVD through Toast's copy function (if you have a DVD burner, of course) and this will make it region free.
I'm afraid there's no good news here.

Changing controlling area from single company code to cross company code

Due to my client requirement, in the middle of the year, we need to change the controlling area from being same as company code to cross company code controlling area. Although the currency is same. We are going to create a new company code. Is the changing controlling area settings possible to do? what are the precautions and changes need to be taken?
One more question, we need to change the company code when the new company code is created in the system in Cost Center Masters in the middle of the year. Is this possible after changing controlling area from single company code to cross company code. Right now company code is not appearing in the cost center master.

If both companies having transaction data its not possible,Normally before defining Organisational Strucutre only we have to deside both companies is assigning same controlling are or have to maitain separately for this we have to compare the Fiscal year,Operating chart of accounts ,if both having same then we will assign both the company codes to one controlling area if these two companies having different currencies also its not a problem.When we creating Controlling Area we have to choose option of controlling area as same company code (if one company code one controlling Area) for example if you assigning two companies then we have to use cross company code cost accounting.If u need any further information let me know.

To update your billing information, you would need to change your iTunes Store country to be able to enter the information for Switzerland. I found an article with the steps to update this:
Change your iTunes Store country
Sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you'd like to use. Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID: > View Apple ID > Country/Region.
Follow the onscreen process to change your region, agree to the terms and conditions for the region if necessary, and then change your billing information.

I keep getting calls from non existing area codes and phone numbers. They are never the same number twice. How do I stop this?

About a week ago I started getting phone calls on my cell phone from numbers that do not exist, including the area codes. I can not report these to the Do Not Call list because the area code is non existent. I'm getting these calls all the time now and never from the same number twice so there's no point in blocking them. If I answer I may or may not get a person who has an accent from India so heavy that I can't understand what they are saying. This is getting to the point where I just want to cry I'm so frustrated. Anyone else having this issue or does anyone know how to stop it?
