Changing Pagesize in Reports 10 On Solaris platform

All,
I use the reports builder on a Windows machine, then copy the .rdf file over to a Solaris 10 environment. I use the rwconvert to convert from an rdf to rep file on Unix. One of the reports I'm working on needs legal paper (8.5 X 15). I have a single tray (tray2) setup on my lexmark printer that contains the appropriate paper. Here is the command I'm using to generate the report, then the Unix lpr command to print the report:
rwrun.sh SERVER=rep_dvmvdb01_FRHome2 report=PICKTICKET userid=move/******@DM1 destype=file desname=/opt/optum/move/5.4.1.17//tmp/PL_MSDS_HAZ/PICKTICKET_1049678.out cmdfile=/opt/optum/move/5.4.1.17//tmp/PL_MSDS_HAZ/PICKTICKET_1049678.prm
lpr -Ppl01 -Zlegal PICKTICKET_1049678.out
My issue is no matter how I form my commands, this report will only generate on normal letter paper stock.
I have set up within the report builder paper_layout / Main section, width 8.5 height 15 and character mode width 80 height 122.
I have also tried different variations of using "PAGESIZE=8.5X15" within the rwrun command above and have gotten no luck.
Can anyone assist me with this?

Dear Goyal,
Please follow the below guides point by point..

Once you done with installation you can move Database Cluser Services to Node B, so Node B will be act as Database + Application Server and Node A will be CI + Application Server.

  • Issue on solaris platform for JNI

    hi all,
    I am solaris platform.
    I am passing string EFTDEG from java to c++.
    when I convert it in JNI code using GetStringUTFChars it changes to EFT.DEG
    I want to retain same character in c++ code ie. EFTDEG
    Can any one help me.

    chetanpatil wrote:

    Explicitly explain how you are determining that it does not have the correct character.
    I store it in file where that string store as EFT.DEG.
    Wrong.
    That tells me what you are doing. That does NOT tell me how you are determining that it is wrong.
    On windows it working but not on solaris platform.Which makes it really likely that you are confusing display with data.

    Hi User,
    As of now its not available u may expect in next quarter
    * OBIEE 11.1.1.3 – the release we have now, with new UI, action framework, scorecards, WebLogic integration, Enterprise Manager etc.
    * OBIEE 11.1.1.4 – next patch set. Will support forthcoming Fusion Apps, also has better support for MS AS and SAP B/W, and new support for TimesTen. Platform support will extend to AIX, Solaris and HP-UX. Probably due late Q4 2010 or early Q1 2011. This is also the version that Oracle suggest you wait for, if using it with Oracle BI Apps 7.9.6.2
    * OBIEE 11.1.3.5 – second patch set. Due Q3 2011? (my guess). J2EE server support will extend to WebSphere and JBoss. Aggregate persistence to Essbase and Oracle OLAP. Discoverer dashboard integration, and EPM Workspace integration. Aggregate advisor. Remaining 10g-era datasource certification.

  • Layout errors when running 6i Reports on Solaris

    Hi,
    I've developed a large number of complex reports - lots of nested groups etc. They were developed on NT in Rep 6i patch 8. They run fine in Reports Runtime on NT.
    When I ftp them across to the Solaris box and compile them in rw60con they no longer run but bomb out with field and boilerplate positioning errors (object not fully contained... etc. etc.).
    Why does this happen? My server has patch 4A I think - the one that came with 9iAS 1.0.2.2.1, although Oracle support say that this mismatch between client and server versions does not matter on 6i.
    I have developed a simple report with no repeating groups etc and it works great on the server.
    Is it something that I have missed or is the Solaris generator just a load of rubbish? If I have to make thousands of changes to my reports which show no difference in the client environment and then ftp, convert them across for each change just to see if they work then I am going to be very unhappy...
    These need to go live next week, therefore I would appreciate any ideas...
    Regards,
    John

    Apologies for the double entry - my browser timed out...
    Here is one of the regular errors I keep encountering.
    Oracle Reports Server CGI - Report Job has terminated with error.
    Reports Server Replies:

    Hi All,
    I am able to create a report in Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.1 on top of an OLAP connection (data source BEx query). However, when I am trying to save this report to BI platform, I am running into the following error:
    The error was not resolved even after applying the following SAP KBA notes:

    Below is the excerpt in the error log (on the path mentioned in SAP NOTE: 1709390),
    However, could not make much sense out of it, as to how can the issue be resolved. If anyone has useful insights on this issue, please share the same with me.
    Regards,
    Alston

    Hi Alston
    Since you have CR for Enterprise then you also have BI and thus most likely you also have an S user ID. You can use the S user ID to create a phone incident at it is part of your Enterprise Support Package. Just saying as this may be the most efficient way of proceeding at this time(?). But please don't take as me trying to push you off of SCN .

  • How to schedule the webi report based on data changes in the report data

    Hello,
    I want  to schedule a webi report based on data change in a column in the report.
    The scenario is something like below:
    1. If a data of a particular column changes from 2 to 3 than I would like to schedule this report and sent it to users mail box.
    I know how to apply alerts or schedule a report or data tracking for capturing changes in the report but I dont know how to schedule the report only for data changes.
    Anybody done this before.
    Thanks

    I have tried using other JDK versions (e.g: 1.4.2_09-b05, etc...) and NOT see the error.
    This is very strangle! It may be a bug of this JDK version?!!!
    The below is all providers available on this JDK; search among these providers
    I've found out a unusual point that we see no any provider implementing RSA.
    So I doubt that this missing can lead to error

    I have received error "[javax.net.ssl.SSLKeyException: RSA premaster secret error]
    caused by [java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Cannot find any provider supporting RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding]"
    when running the following code snippet from command line[b]:
         TrustManager[] trustAllCerts = new TrustManager[]{
              new X509TrustManager() {
                public java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] getAcceptedIssuers() {
                    return null;
                public void checkClientTrusted(
                    java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) {
                public void checkServerTrusted(
                    java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) {
            // Install the all-trusting trust manager
            SSLContext sc = SSLContext.getInstance("SSL");
            sc.init(null, trustAllCerts, new java.security.SecureRandom());
            HttpsURLConnection.setDefaultSSLSocketFactory(sc.getSocketFactory());
            URL url = new URL("https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/");
            BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(
                             new InputStreamReader(
                             url.openStream()));
            String inputLine;
            while ((inputLine = in.readLine()) != null)
         System.out.println(inputLine);
           in.close();Specially, the error only occurs when using JDK 1.5.0_07-b03 on Solaris platform.
    [java.security.NoSuchAlgorithmException: Cannot find any provider supporting RSA/ECB/PKCS1Padding]
    ------------------- All providers avaible on JDK 1.5.0_07-b03, Solaris platform ------------
    SUN = SUN (DSA key/parameter generation; DSA signing; SHA-1, MD5 digests; SecureRandom;
    X.509 certificates; JKS keystore; PKIX CertPathValidator; PKIX CertPathBuilder; LDAP, Collection CertStores)
    SunRsaSign = Sun RSA signature provider
    SunJSSE = Sun JSSE provider(PKCS12, SunX509 key/trust factories, SSLv3, TLSv1)
    SunJCE = SunJCE Provider (implements DES, Triple DES, Blowfish, PBE, Diffie-Hellman, HMAC-MD5, HMAC-SHA1)
    SunJGSS = Sun (Kerberos v5)
    SunSASL = Sun SASL provider(implements client mechanisms for: DIGEST-MD5, GSSAPI, EXTERNAL, PLAIN, CRAM-MD5; server mechanisms for: DIGEST-MD5, GSSAPI, CRAM-MD5)
    For the other JDK versions, we can see "implements RSA" and then everything works fine!
    ------------------- All providers avaible on other JDK versions, Windows/Solaris platform ------------

    SunJCE = SunJCE Provider (implements DES, Triple DES, AES, Blowfish, PBE, Diffie-Hellman, HMAC-MD5, HMAC-SHA1)
    SunJGSS = Sun (Kerberos v5)
    I have downloaded and installed the Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files version 5.0
    but the error still occurs!
    Does anybody know how to fix this error? Please!!!

  • Changing a custom report to be time sensitive

    Hi
    I posted this in FI too thought the MM people might have some inputs as to how to correct the Zvenclass if we use the standard SAP field on the accounting view table LFB1 MINDK minority indicator
    We need to change the custom report zvenclass, it is a report that tells us the amount spent for each vendor in a specific class. I have the date/time sensistive information for the amount spent but not the change in vendor class from the vendor master. I need this to be date driven too. As in if a vendor is a small business in 2005 and you change the vendor to be a large vendor in 2011. Then I want the report for dates and values in 2008 to show small business and the dates and values in 2011 to show large business.
    The assignment is not time dependent, it has to be manually changed.
    I did see through the CDHDR and CDPOS tables, but could not pinpoint to the changes in the valuation classes.
    Is there any other way if I can find whether I can find the changes?
    Now I did review the values from the custom tables, here I find that there is a difference in the sum totals of the postings when I add up the individual years compared to the consolidated report (for ex: 200720082009 is not equal to 2007 to 2009) so am I right in assuming that the system does account for the changes. Any other help in this regard would be appreciated.
    Any inputs on this will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    We are trying to solve this by altering the code for the report.
    Will update if it works though.
