Changing a custom report to be time sensitive

Hi
I posted this in FI too thought the MM people might have some inputs as to how to correct the Zvenclass if we use the standard SAP field on the accounting view table LFB1 MINDK minority indicator
We need to change the custom report zvenclass, it is a report that tells us the amount spent for each vendor in a specific class. I have the date/time sensistive information for the amount spent but not the change in vendor class from the vendor master. I need this to be date driven too. As in if a vendor is a small business in 2005 and you change the vendor to be a large vendor in 2011. Then I want the report for dates and values in 2008 to show small business and the dates and values in 2011 to show large business.
The assignment is not time dependent, it has to be manually changed.
I did see through the CDHDR and CDPOS tables, but could not pinpoint to the changes in the valuation classes.
Is there any other way if I can find whether I can find the changes?
Now I did review the values from the custom tables, here I find that there is a difference in the sum totals of the postings when I add up the individual years compared to the consolidated report (for ex: 200720082009 is not equal to 2007 to 2009) so am I right in assuming that the system does account for the changes. Any other help in this regard would be appreciated.
Any inputs on this will be appreciated.
Thanks

We are trying to solve this by altering the code for the report.
Will update if it works though.

  • Custom Report taking more time to complete Normat

    Hi All,
    Custom report(Aging Report) in oracle is taking more time to complete Normal.
    In one instance, the same report is taking 5 min and the other instance this is taking 40-50 min to complete.
    We have enabled the trace and checked the trace file, but all the queries are working fine.
    Could you please suggest me regarding this issue.
    Thanks in advance!!

  • BACK button functionality to be changed for custom report in ITS screen

    Hi all,
    I am working on SRM 5.0 with INTERNAL ITS.I have created a custom report and a transaction code for the same.Now in the SRM Web menu,I have provided a link for this report.
    Now i can see all the std menu options like BACK SYSTEM CANCEL  as buttons in the web screen.However when i click on the BACK button,it takes me to the SAP EASY ACCESS MENU screen as we see in SAPGUI.
    My reqt is that on click of the BACK button,i need to show the HOMEPAGE of the SRM.Is this possible?If so,how?
    All inputs will be highly appreciated and rewarded.

    Hello!
    There are several possibilities how to call transaction:
    - You can call it as service (that is what you do when you test it from SICF)
    - You can call it through service (or alias) WEBGUI (not using service for the specific transaction to call it)
    If you are calling it through WEBGUI then parameter ~SINGLETRANSACTION should be added to service (or alias) of WEBGUI. And there should be added also Log Off URL (in SICF). At this case it should navigate back to the URL which is specified in SICF.
    Hope this helps!
    Best regards,
    Rorijs

  • Change customized reports to access archived data

    Hello,
    I need to change few customized reports (z-reports) to make it fetch data from an archive database.
    This is done for SAP IS-H reports. So some of the tables for eg NBEW(movement table) will be archived and a correspoding
    infostructre will be created acting as an indice to archive database.So my query is what is the correct approach to read the data from the archive database which is a non-SAP system.
    1. Query the infostructure . Change each select statement to make it read from the infostruture .
    2. Directly read from non sap system files using some unix commands.
    When we use option 1 or 2 what are the benefits ? which is better?
    Some times may need to query both sap  databse and archive database if the date range overlaps So what are the performance impacts.
    Regards,
    Abhilash

    Hello All,
    Any ideas on my query.
    Thanks

  • Custom Report times out

    Greetings,
    We are experiencing a very peculiar problem with a custom report where it times out after the stipulated 30 minutes (rdisp/max_wprun_time = 30 minutes). What is unusual is that, the same report, with the same selection criteria, finishes within 20 minutes at some times or even in a lesser duration. I have been unable to establish any correlation between when it runs and when it times out.
    Some facts.
    1. There are enough free dialog wp, memory and CPU utilization is approximately 50% (or even less) when it does/doesn't finish. By this, I mean that the system is by no means under any kind of stress.
    2. Executing the report in the background is an option, but for what the report is meant for, it is necessary to run it in the foreground.
    3. I created indices on the tables it reads, which I see being used in the Explain Plan. But using the same indices, the report doesn't finish at other times.
    4. The table does an inner join of 2 huge tables; EKPO and EKKO and also an inner join on EBELN and EKET
    5. I have checked for locks in the system, but with locks on EKPO and EKKO, the report is still able to finish at some times.
    I can probably increase the time limit further, but that is the last thing I would like to do. What is perplexing is that the report finishes within the stipulated time at times. Am I missing something here ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Kunal

    Just a followup before I close this thread.
    The real issue here is that the report reads table A073 which has grown up to around 1 Gb. With this table being defined as fully buffered, buffering is not possible (or results in an error rather) and large amounts of time is spent reading it. In addition to this, the the program does an inner join of this table on MARA (another huge table).
    All the above information was found out courtesy ST05.
    Thank you for the inputs as always.

    I just only need the details ,wheather that SAP standard or Custom object has got changed or not.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi RK v ,
    I really don't know what your actual requirement is , but if you want to know the objects as per the modification , then transport request will be much help to you .

  • Custom report stored procedure changes not reflecting

    Hi,
    I have a custom report which works fine but now I want to do some changes in stored procedure. The stored procedure compiles successfully but the changes are not reflected in the report. Am I missing out something as I am assuming that once the stored procedure is saved, the changes must reflect immediately.
    Regards,
    Rahul Sharma

    I did some changes in the where clause to include few more input parameters and thats it. I have not changed anything else. Moreover, even if I try to introduce an error intentionally, OIM is not picking it up. Is there any other reference which I need to change?

    My client would like to have a custom report on payroll and time evaluation results , can you please provide me with 2 options of achieving them.
    Thanks,
    Regi

    Hi,
    The time clusters are found using reports RPCLST*(B2, B1, PC etc) via SE38. You can find the time clusters under the time menu in the menu tree.
    PCL1 - Database for HR work area
    PCL2 - Accounting Results (time, travel expense and payroll);
    The database table PCL2 contains the following data areas:
    B2 time accounting results
    CD cluster directory of the CD manager
    PS generated schemas
    PT texts for generated schemas
    RX payroll accounting results/international
    Rn payroll accounting results/country-specific ( n = HR country indicator )
    ZL personal work schedule
    Tto retrieve payroll results accesse SAP transaction PC_PAYRESULT for all countries.
    Finally u can get the results for time PT_CLSTB2 , for Payroll PC_PAYRESULT. With this t.codes u can get the require results for ur custom report.
    Regards,
    Devi.

  • Custom Report Time

    Dear Gurus..
    I need to develop a custom report such dat i need to check mnth vise opening and closing balance of quota of particular leave..
    Eg for month of january:
    I need to see opening balance as baalnce on 1 st jan:
    and  closing balance  as balance on 31 st jan....
    Please suggest on which table day by quota is maintained....
    Regards
    Ashima

    Hi Sikindar,
    I dont think she can make use of PT_QTA10 as she wants balances opening and closing for a given month.
    Ashima,
    Is quota accrual done in time evaluation? If yes do you use time types for it? If yes then do you store them in SALDO? If yes then quota in that period can be fetched from SALDO.
    The absences in that period can be taken from IT 2001.  The difference from both these values will give opening and closing balances in that month.
    cheers
    AJ

  • Is there anyone at all here who has successfully compiled and deployed an SSRS custom report item in VS2012?

    Is there anyone at all here who has successfully compiled and deployed an SSRS custom report item in VS2012?  Is there a demo out there that actually works in VS2012?  Is there anyone who has actually been able to compile and deploy that
    apparently obsolete Polygons demo?  (Pardon my impatience but I'm running a bit short of time here.)
    After much hacking and googling I was able to get Polygons to compile but I still can't deploy it to the toolbox.  ('The custom report item type PolygonsDesigner is not installed').   I've modified the RSReportDesigner.config
    as instructed but I have no rssrvpolicy.config file on my local machine and
    as yet I have no idea if that is necessary for local development.
    In order to get it to compile I first added the reference  C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\Microsoft.ReportingServices.ProcessingCore.dll to both projects.
    To the PolygonsDesigner Project I also added the references:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\Microsoft.ReportDesigner.Controls.dll
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies\Microsoft.ReportingServices.Designer.11.0.dll
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\Binn\Microsoft.ReportingServices.Interfaces.dll
    Are these the correct references?
    Exactly what software do you need installed on your local machine in addition to VS2012 in order to create a custom control?
    (Designer.11.0 was added per the instructions in reference: https://connect.microsoft.com/VisualStudio/feedback/details/783391/unable-to-integrate-previously-working-ssrs-custom-report-item-to-vs-2012s-toolbox
    After that I added the alias RSDesigner to it's properties and   extern alias RSDesigner; at the top of the PolygonsDesigner.cs file. )
    As of now, the top of the PolygonsDesigner.cs is as follows.  I don't recall making any other changes to the code.  As far as I can remember this is all I did in order to be able to compile the code in VS2012.
        extern alias RSDesigner;
        using System;
        using System.ComponentModel;
        using System.ComponentModel.Design;
        using System.Collections;
        using System.Collections.Generic;
        using System.Diagnostics;
        using System.Drawing;
        using System.Windows.Forms;
        using Microsoft.ReportDesigner;
        using Microsoft.ReportDesigner.Design;
        using Microsoft.ReportingServices.Interfaces;
        using Microsoft.ReportingServices.RdlObjectModel;
        using System.Xml;
        using System.Xml.Xsl;
        using System.Xml.XPath;
        [LocalizedName("Polygons")]
        [Editor(typeof(CustomEditor), typeof(ComponentEditor))]
        [ToolboxBitmap(typeof(PolygonsDesigner), "Polygons.ico")]
        [CustomReportItem("Polygons")]
        [ToolboxItem(typeof(RSDesigner::Microsoft.ReportDesigner.Shell.CRIToolboxItem))]
        [System.CLSCompliant(false)]
        public class PolygonsDesigner : CustomReportItemDesigner
        {   etc...

    Just fixed this myself.
    It appears the documentation online is wrong and the sample code is missing a reference to a reporting services dll and an attribute.
    What you need to do to get it working in VS2012 is add a reference to: Microsoft.ReportingServices.designer.11.0.dll to the PolygonsDesigner project and then add the following attribute to the PolygonsDesigner class: [ToolboxItem(typeof(Microsoft.ReportDesigner.Shell.CRIToolboxItem))]
    I also removed the [System.CLSCompliant(false)] attribute.
    You then recompile and place both dlls in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE\PrivateAssemblies directory and the PolygonsDesigner.dll into the C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS11.MSSQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin
    or what ever is you reporting services path.
    You also need to change the Microsoft example for the rereportserver.config file to:
        <ReportItemDesigner>
       <ReportItem Name="Polygons" Type="Microsoft.Samples.ReportingServices.PolygonsDesigner, PolygonsDesigner" />
        </ReportItemDesigner>
        <ReportItems>
       <ReportItem Name="Polygons" Type="Microsoft.Samples.ReportingServices.PolygonsCRI,PolygonsCRI"/>
        </ReportItems>
     Notice that I changed the namespaces and class to what is in the actual code so if you change it make sure you change it here.
    And here in the RSReportDesigner.config:
    <ReportItems>
          <ReportItem Name="Polygons" Type="Microsoft.Samples.ReportingServices.PolygonsCustomReportItem,PolygonsCRI" />
        </ReportItems>
        <ReportItemDesigner>
          <ReportItem Name="Polygons" Type="Microsoft.Samples.ReportingServices.PolygonsDesigner, PolygonsDesigner" />
        </ReportItemDesigner>
        <ReportItemConverter>
          <Converter Source="Chart" Target="Polygons" Type="PolygonsCRI.PolygonsConverter, PolygonsDesigner" />
        </ReportItemConverter>
    Notice I haven't changed the last part as I didn't know what the PolygonsCRI.PolygonsConverter was.
    And make sure the rssrvpolicy.config looks like this:
         <CodeGroup class="UnionCodeGroup" version="1" PermissionSetName="FullTrust" Description="This code group grants PolygonsCRI.dll FullTrust permission. ">
           <IMembershipCondition class="UrlMembershipCondition" version="1" Url="C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10_50.SQLSERVER\Reporting Services\ReportServer\bin\PolygonsCRI.dll" />
        </CodeGroup>
    After a restart of ssrs and relaunch of VS2012 I opened a test project and added the PolygonsDesigner.dll to the toolbox and it works.

  • Custom Reports to Homepage

    Hello,
    I have created the customer reports that i wish to allocate the tabs but after i assign them to the designated role they don't automatically load on page load.
    It loads the following message:
    Generating analysis... Click here to view the results
    Once i click on the link it then loads the report. Can anyone offer a suggestion to resolve this problem?

    You can contact Customer Care and request that they change the setting that permits auto-load of custom homepage reports. By default, this setting is set to not load automatically due to system resource issues with potentially complex reports displayed on the homepage. Auto loading these has been a user adoption issue for others due to the longer load time of the home page.

  • Deleted Custom Report

    Is there a way to recover a deleted custom report?

    Without launching a session to my install I don't believe so. However, and proceed with caution on this. If nothing significant has changed configuration wise you might be able to find your last DB backup point and restore from there. But that comes with it's own set of complications since it's likely your Filestore wasn't backed up at the same time causing them to be out of sync causing your more frustration than simply rebuilding the original report from the beginning..
    I believe it may be possible to export the reports in XML after creation, then if needed reimport the file to restore so to speak. But you would need to predefine the XML template and I think this is isolated to ZAM, ZCM 10. I know this is information after the fact, but if it works then you shouldn't encounter this situation again.
    Cheers,

  • Custom report template and URL links

    Hello,
    I have been working on this problem for some-time and it's starting to get frustrating. I am trying to 'mimic' the functionality of the 'people search' application and I am working on the hierarchy portion of it (page 3).
    I copied the (3) custom report templates (one for each level of the hierarchy) and I created three queries to go to each.
    My problem is that the links in the report template code keep getting mixed around -- the mgr_id is showing where the mgr_name should be, etc. In the example application the query has about 6 columns, and the template is only showing three (and the order of them in the report attributes doesn't seem to matter. But when I change the column order in my application, the data in the template changes??
    Here is an example query:
    select MGR_NAME, work_role,
    nvl(total_direct,0) Directs, nvl(total_reports,0) Reports
    from hr_orgchart_view
    where
    emp_id = :p3_emp_id
    And the matching report template:
    <tr align="center" valign="top">
    <td align="center"class="instructiontext">
    <b>#MGR_NAME#</b>
    <br><font size=-2>
    #WORK_ROLE#
    </font><br><FONT class="smallBlack">
    Directs: #DIRECTS#   Total: #REPORTS#</font></td></tr>
    Since the column name is being referenced as the link text, column order should not matter right?
    Please shed some light on this situation, as I am holding up development. I am using version 1.6
    Thanks,
    Jeff

    Sorry, the code was messed up in previous post:
    Template:
    <tr align="center" valign="top">
    <td align="center"class="instructiontext">
    <b>#MGR_NAME#</b>
    <br><font size=-2>
    #WORK_ROLE#</font><br><FONT class="smallBlack">
    Directs: #DIRECTS#   Total: #REPORTS#</font></td></tr>

    1) Message number
    2) Transport number link to the message number
    3) Target client the transport go to
    4) Date/Time of status change to "Consolidate"

    Hi Belinda,
    open the service message application in the Solman.
    Open a service message, focus the needed fields and press F1 for technical details. Try finding the tables by using the      where-used list.

  • How to define parameters in custom reports registration

    dear experts
    In my custom report i need to register some parameters and i did so earlier on .. but this time i need some kind of constant lov feild in my report parameters and i cant able to do that .. lets suppose i have parameter on flow status and it is 'SHIPPED' or 'CLOSED' . if i want to see data based on 'SHIPPED' lines, i want to select 'SHIPPED' from my lov, otherwise 'CLOSED' and one more condition may be BOTH for that i use '%' with LIKE ...
    Right now i m using charector 10 constant in concurrent > program > define.
    And when my report run it ask value for my parameter and i have write the exact value ..other wise it not run .. i want to creat fix lov feild for input parameter .
    Do suggust me .. how can i do that .
    regards
    anwer

    You can create a new value set by following the steps:
    Go to Application Developer -> Validation -> Set and create a new value set by giving:
    1. Value set name
    2. Type
    3. Size
    4. Validation type -> select as independent
    Save the changes
    Then go to Application Developer -> Validation values and query for your value set that you created in your previous step.
    Then add the values 'SHIPPED','CLOSED','BOTH' on the list and save changes.
    Then go to concurrent program -> define and query for your concurrent program and change the value set for that parameter to the one you created.
    Then run the report by selecting a value from the LOV.
    For Both you can use something like this:
    a.flow_status:= NVL(:P_flow_status, a.flowstatus)Dont use LIKE operator as it my slow down the report execution in case if the reoprt is huge
