Changing project's run target

I'm sorry for wrong terminology here, but here goes problem description:
We are developing project with use of JDeveloper 10.1.3 with use of JSF.
in web.xml we've got:
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>*.jsf</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
If we press run for any jsp file (actually jsf one), then browser is redirected to
http://localhost:8988/projectname/faces/file.jsp
What I want i to do is to be redirected to page
http://localhost:8988/projectname/file.jsf
Is it possible to change JDeveloper properties in such way?

In JDeveloper 10.1.3 EA 1
specify url-pattern.
<servlet-mapping>
<servlet-name>Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
<url-pattern>/</url-pattern>
</servlet-mapping>
Without a servlet-mapping for the Faces servlet, the servlet would get invoked even for JSPs which are not JSF.

  • How to config not to use Default run target

    Hi All,
How can I config Jdeveloper9.0.3 not to use runner's "default run target" from "project settings", instead, to use welcome file list in web.xml?
    thanks a lot!

This is currently how it is implemented in JDev903. The JDev webapp runner uses the project default run target instead of using the directory and relying on the welcome files in the web.xml.
Obviously a workaround is to set the default run target to observe the welcome file in the web.xml.
We haven't really seen people asking for this to be implemented in our webapprunner but we'll discuss it..

  • Help: Default Run Target??

Using 11g now, and Default Run Target seems to be gone! or I just can't find it... its launching using 127.0.0.1 but i need to to use a different ip address because I have code to restrict a specific ip address in the request just for added security. Can someone point me the right direction? It used to be in Tools > Project Properties... > Run/Debug/Profile > Edit (Default)
    Thanks

The default run target is now configured in JDev 11g via ViewController -> Project Properties -> Run/Debug/Profile -> Default -> Edit ....
Where on the Launch Settings - Default Run Target field you enter your default unbounded Task Flow:
    ie: C:\JDevSandpit\Application4\ViewController\public_html\WEB-INF\adfc-config.xml
Then same dialog on the ADF Task Flow node, the Task Flow poplist should say (Unbounded Task Flow) and the View Activity drop down you select the page you're interested in.
In fact the first time you run the app from your adfc-config.xml unbounded task flow by selecting the diagram and run (without selecting a web page), it should ask and set this up for you anyhow.
I don't think this solves your problem however. Instead under the Application Navigator window see that there is an entry for IntegratedWLSConnection. Displaying it's properties reveals the server runs at 127.0.0.1. See if changing that value makes a difference when running (it does for me).
Hope this helps and good luck.

  • How to deal with .csproj.user being created/modified by Visual Studio before the project is run?

    So, what is the problem?
The problem is that Visual Studio considers .csproj.user a dependency of the project being run.
    Let us assume the following:
     - We have a freshly built solution containing a web application project `X` as the Start Up project.
     - There are Silverlight applications served by the X web application.
     - There is no `X.csproj.user` file initially.
Now consider the following flow of events:
     1. Open the solution in the Visual Studio
     2. Build.
     3. Run.
     4. A dialog is open to ask whether Silverlight debugging is to be enabled. Enable it.
     5. Stop the debugging session.
     6. Run again.
     7. Stop the debugging session.
     8. Run again.
Assuming nothing is built at step 2 (because the solution is totally up to date), will there anything be built at steps 3 and 6?
The answer is affirmative and here is why:
     - The X.csproj.user file is actually created by Visual Studio when the project is requested to run. What happens next is that the
X.csproj.user file is considered a dependency of the project
X by the Visual Studio. Being created just now the file is newer than the project binaries and so Visual Studio builds the project
    X. This explains why the project is built at step 3.
     - When we agree to enable Silverlight debugging Visual Studio records this agreement in the
X.csproj.user file. So the file is modified again, after the project has started running. Restarting the debugging session is going to build the project
X yet again, after all X.csproj.user is again newer than the binaries built a second ago. This explains why the project is built at step 6.
Fortunately, nothing is built at step 8.
Call me petty, but I want to avoid the builds at steps 3 and 6. The problem is that I am not allowed to check in the X.csproj.user file, because that is likely to create a mess with people accidentally checking in their private changes.
On the other hand, I am unable to move its default content (along with the agreement to enable Silverlight debugging) into the project file
X.csproj. Well, I can, but it is just being ignored.
So, here is my question - is it possible to separate the content stored in a
    .csproj.user into two groups:
     - Permanent. These are the things I would love to have in the .csproj file. It will be checked in.
     - Temporary/Private. These are the things private to individual developers. Never checked in.
Visual Studio already allows this separation for certain properties - see the
Apply server settings to all users (store in project file) checkbox in the Web properties tab of a Web application project - http://olalalittlen.wordpress.com/2011/07/20/vs-tips-managing-server-settings-in-web-projects-for-multi-developer-scenarios/.
    However, it is insufficient.
Any other ideas on how to prevent the aforementioned redundant builds are welcome too.

    Hi Mark,
I think your issue is more about project itself. the saved information in the .csproj.user settings is about the project's information.
So I suggest you post your issue to the related project forum.

  • How do you change project settings on Premiere Elements 12?

I have Premiere Elements 12. When I view a DVD I created of wedding photos, the edges of people and objects are jagged and generally the photos appear blurry. On my old Premiere Elements 8, I did not have this problem - the pictures on DVDs were clear and sharp. When checking the project setting on Premiere 8, the project settings for Capture was DV which changed all my settings for General and Rendering project settings. On my new Premiere 12, the Capture setting is HDV and I cannot get the General and Rendering settings to change when I change the Capture setting to DV. The online help from Adobe says to correct this, "In the New Project dialog box, click Change Settings," but when I start a new project in Premiere 12, "Adobe Premiere Element Editor" is the only dialogue box that shows and I cannot see a change setting button. Does anyone know how I can change my project settings so that when I select DV it will change all the presets for the General and Video Rendering settings?

    jacquelinebaker
The party line is that you cannot change project settings once the project settings have been set. You need to start a new project.
Edit Menu/Project Settings/General does not offer the opportunity for any significant project settings change in this type of situation.
I have discovered that, under certain circumstances, that the user can change the established project preset without starting a new project.
The approach to doing this involves editing the Notepad document of the saved closed project file (project.prel file). I have written about this in the following blog post.
    http://www.atr935.blogspot.com/2013/05/pe11-changing-project-settings-without.html
You need to weigh the pros and cons of going through the procedure or just starting a new project and start the project again.
All of the above being said, on to setting to the correct project preset to match the properties of your source media. Please refer to the issues involved and how to set manually the project preset when the program is not doing the job correctly or best automatically.
    http://www.atr935.blogspot.com/2013/04/pe11-accuracy-of-automatic-project.html
To the specifics...if you are doing DV data capture firewire into Premiere Elements 12 Capture Window, the scenario would be...
    a. Open Premiere Elements 12 to the Expert workspace, go to File Menu/New/Project and Change Settings. In Change Settings,
change the project preset to NTSC DV Standard or NTSC DV Widescreen depending on NTSC or PAL set up and 4:3 or 16:9 DV data source. Then before you exit that area, make sure to place a check mark next to "Force Selected Project Setting on This Project" in
the new project dialog. Exit that area and return to the Premiere Elements 12 Expert workspace for your Add Media/DV Capture selection.
If you are doing HDV data capture firewire into Premiere Elements 12 Capture Window, then same scenario except the project preset change involves NTSC HDV HDV 1080i30 (if NTSC). In this instance, the Edit Menu/Project Settings/General should look like
Please review and consider and then let me know if I have targeted you question or need clarification.
    Thank you.

  • Change project protection level with dtutil (or other cmd)

    Hi -
After exporting a project from SSISDB (using catalog.get_project), the project and packages have protection level "ServerStorage". However, I am unable to execute a package (using dtexec) when it has this protection level. I need to change it to
    something else - programatically.
I can use dtutil to change protection level of the packages and that is well-documented - but how do I change the protection level of the project with dtutil? (or another cmd shell executable). Project and packages need same protection level or it won't
compile - that's why I need to change the project as well.
    Thank you,
    Anders

    Hi Arthur,
    Thank you for the response.
I run it outside SSISDB with dtexec.exe. It doesn't need to be in the catalog in order to run it.
    EXEC master.dbo.xp_cmdshell 'dtexec.exe /Project "D:\Run\TheProject.ispac" /Package "ThePackage.dtsx"'
It is not enough to change protection level on the packages - the project also needs to change protection level. The ISPAC file has the @Project.manifest file which defines the project, including protection level, and it has to be the same as the packages
in order to run the package in the project.
So the question remains: How can I change the protection level of the project programatically? (not the packages, - those I can change with dtutil).
    Thanks,
    Anders

  • How to change the update servers target location?

Hi i just bought a used MacBook from a friend i have been having a problem when trying to use the software update. when i click on software update it says it can not connect to the update server and that i should use network diagnostics. when i click on it it says network seems to be fine but on the left side it shows a red light where server is and says failed i click on run diagnostics and it says "network diagnostics was able to connect to the internet but not to the server "(not showing the server for privacy reasons)" This could be caused by problems with the server, or an internet problem between this computer and the server."
The server name which i did not list was my friends old job server. i just want to know how to change the update servers target location so it will stop trying to connect to his jobs server so it will allow me to update my software from my home wifi thanks

Your friend has configured this computer in some way to prevent a user from accessing Apple's update servers. This was probably done for security purposes. You might check if the firewall has been activated - Open the Security preferences, click on the Firewall tab. If the firewall is turned on, then turn it off. This should fix the problem.
However, if your friend has made other modifications, then you will need to ask him/her what you will need to do to remove them.

  • Cannot change project hierarchy after budgeting

Can any one please help with this.  I am trying to change the hierarchy of my project but since the project has been budgeted for and released, I get the message that I cannot change project hierarchy.  I have tried reseting the budget but this doesn't seem to be working.  Any ideas on how I can accomplish this?

You can try the following procedures:
    1. Clear all the budget into 0 ( both overall budget and annual budget)
    2. Run t-code OPSX to reset the "BUDG" flag.
    3. Try to update your project hierarchy again.
    Hope it works.

  • Newbie stuck with Default Run Target

Hello, I am new to Oracle software, so please excuse my sillyness.
    My problem is this:
I am trying to run my first program "HelloWorld.sqlj". When I try to run the program after 'Make Project', I go to 'run project' and get a screen saying "no Default Run Target". So I read help, which says to select one from the drop down list, but there is not any there. What is the Default Run Target, and what do I set it too?
    Thank you.
    Tim.

Welcome to the world of Java :-)
You are missing a main method from your file that will make it runnable.
Create a new Java class and in the dialog choose to add a Main method to see how it is done.
Generally this is what you need:
    public static void main(String[] args)
    Class1 class1 = new Class1();
    }

  • Unable to Change Project Start Date in Project Server 2013

    Dear All,
I have created new EPT in Project Server 2013. After that, when i am creating any new project in PWA 2013 by using newly created EPT, then i am not able to change Date as per my requirement.
Basically, EPT created on 02/18/2015 & even though i am changing Project start date then its again showing same date (02/18/2015)
Kindly suggest what i can do.

    Hello,
Does this new EPT have a project plan template associated? What happens if you set the EPT not to have a plan template then create a new project from this EPT? Does that let you update the start date? The start date should default to today (date the project
plan was created). If that works as expected, add the plan template back to the EPT (if you had one to start with) and test creating another project to see if that then works or you then get the same behaviour. This will point us to the cause hopefully.
Do other EPTs work as expected?

  • Moving a rectangle or change color in "Run-Time "?

First step, the objects of decoration you can modify its properties in "Run-Time "?
Moving a rectangle or change color in "Run-Time "?
I want to develop a mini SCADA application, where I have to do some animations usingsimple objects like Shapes.

Yes, it is possible to modify decorations in runtime. An example is below.
As you can see, you just need to get a reference to the front panel containing the decoraitions, and then use the Decos[] property to get an array of references to the decorations. These can be passed to a property node.
Unfortunately, the decorations cannot be given a unique identifier, such as a label. So if you have multiple decorations, it can be tricky to modify the properties of a specific one. If you are only dealing with one shape, this won't be an issue. One roundabout way to pick out a particular decoration would be to search through the array references until you find the one with matching size and location on the front panel. Alternatively, you could use a disabled control, such as a boolean push button with no caption, and refer to that directly.
    Hope this helps.

  • PWA 2010 SP2(!!!) - Problem to Change Project Owner

    Hello,
Our client has the same issue as described here:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/projectserver/en-US/aa064da4-e076-4a15-90ce-15663b58389c/project-web-access-2010-change-the-owner-of-a-project-fails?forum=projserv2010setup
When changing project owner we get the message "An error has occurred when saving your project to the server. Please contact your server administrator for assistance".
The error log from the queue mentions the EventHorizonFinishException (same as in the above thread).
Replies to the above post refer to a CU of the 2010 (no-SP) version that fixes the problem. However, our client's server is 2010 with SP2, so the CU is supposed to be included.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Barak

    Hi Barak,
First of all, ensure to have the latest CU released by Microsoft for Project Server 2010:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-US/office/ee748587
Then try to edit and publish the project plan through PWA and try again changing the project owner.
Finally the file might be corrupted. To repair it, try the
    save as sharing or
    xml export methods.
    Hope this helps,

  • Question on Change Projects

    Hello,
For e.g. a customer has gone live and the first implementation project has been closed.
The customer is now working on Phase 2 enhancements so there is a change project in the tenant.
If the customer faces some issues like code list is missing,
he will not be able to maintain it in because the project is already closed.
So does he has to create another change project to make the fix or how is this suppose to be done?
    Thank you.

    Angela Sparkman wrote:
You would create a 2nd change project in the production tenant.  You just need to be careful that you are not making changes to the same fine-tuning activity in both change projects, which will cause some inconsistencies.
    Hello,
What would be the best practice for managing two change projects (1 for Phase 2 dev and 1 for hot fix) in an environment that has a test and production tenant?
E.g. I have already 1 change project (for Phase 2) in test tenant.
Should the change project (hot fix) be created in production or the change project (hot fix) should be created in the test tenant resulting into two change projects (one for Phase 2 and one for hot fix) in the test tenant?

If i export my project, it runs much faster than in the canvas. How can I fix that?
I'm from germany, sorry for my english!

When you export your project, it is "compiled" into video format. Any player will play it at its frame rate.
Motion is a compositing application. It has to make many more times the calculations needed to animate everything and 90% of the time, it's just not possible for Motion to keep up with "real time".  It's to be expected. Learning to live with that fact will make life a lot easier for you, I promise.
There are a few things you can do to help speed up Motion:
Reduce temporary play ranges to no more than about 5 seconds at a time. You can move the Play Range In and Out markers from section to section. Motion does all of its real time rendering in RAM. The longer the play range, to more it has to work managing that memory.
Remove Preview Icons from the Layers list ( View menu > Layers Columns > Preview will toggle the views)
When you play your animation, turn off on screen guides: (command - / will toggle onscreen guides)
In Motion 5, reducing the quality of playback from the Render menu does not make a lot of difference anymore, so you might as well keep the default settings of Dynamic, Full and Normal on. However, Motion Blur, Frame Blending, Field Rendering, as well as the lighting options will affect playback, sometimes by quite a lot. So if you have Lights, turning off Lighting, Shadows, and Reflections will get back a lot of real time playback speed (just remember to turn on all that you need before rendering, or these things will be left out of the export!)
