Changing required fields for synchronis​ation

Hi Everybody,
I am trying to synchronisize a BlackBerry 8800 with Lotus Notes 8 using Desktop Manager 4.7. Contacts that have all required fields synchronis just fine, however I have a few hundred contacts on the handheld, that only have one of  the required fields (firstname, lastname, corporation) filled out. These shw up in the synclog is "unspecified" and or nt synchronised to the Notes address book. Is there a way to change the setting if a field is required or not?
Any hint is highly appreciated.

From a philosophy prospective, each Offering should encompass one, and only one, type of need. If someone needs access to the VPN, there should be an offering "I need VPN access" which should ask all the information to deliver VPN access, and that offering

based on entirely no data, I hypothesize this question relates to something like a new hire process, where the "need" is defined as "whatever a new person needs", and determining if the VPN justification should be a required question is next to impossible from
that definition.  The root cause fix for this would be a better Service Model where the purpose of the request like this is fully defined (i.e. VPN access is tied to job role, which is known, and therefore the question doesn't need to be asked).  
To your actual question: the out of the box portal doesn't include a method to make the required flag of one question dependent on the answers to another question. a third Party Portal might have this functionality, but I doubt it, since there isn't any
place to configure business rules to support such a system in the offering definition.

    First of all did you required to post with personnel number or not....if it is not required then goto FS00 enter your GL account 504566872....find Field Staus Group under tab Create/Bank/Interest........then goto t code OBVV and select your field status group then click on field status and select Additional account assignments and check personnel number status and change as per your requirement optional or required.
    If personnel number required then create symbolic a/c with account type Q and assign gl account to this symbolic a/c.

    Heres what I did:
    OB41> Double clicked on posting key 81> clicked on field status> Payment transactions> Both Due date and Value date have already been set to optional.
    For OB14 it asks me to input a field status variant.
    There are three of them. Now here is the tricky part, how do I find out which field variant has been assigned
    0001     Field status for 0001
    1000     Field status for CoA 1000
    3000     Field status for CoC 3000
    I went further and check for all the three variants one by one
    and found out that in the field status> Payment transactions for the following entry in the field status group
    G045     Goods/invoice received clearing accounts
    The DUE DATE and  VALUE DATE are suppressed. What do I need to do here?
    Next I checked OBB8 to find  the following three Options I dunno which one of them is applicable to the GL account 122400 for Cocd 1200. Where can I find the assignment? How can I find which payment term is being used.

    Well I went ahead and clicked on each of them
    For 0001 the Default for Baseline date is set to Posting date (Do I need to change anything here?)
    For 0002 the Default for Baseline date is set to Document date (Do I need to change anything here?)
    For 0003 the Default for Baseline date is set to Posting date (Do I need to change anything here?)
    Please guide me here. If you need screenshots I would be glad to mail it to you.

    While posting payroll results to FI , I am facing the following error

    The Field Profit Center is mandatory from FI side,We can  not change it.
    I assigned the profit center to Org-Unit using A-OO3 O-PC relationships.Still I am facing the same issue.Kindly Help.

    The reason why Profit Center is not filled is that you have activated codist switch in FI but not in the HR side:table T52SWCODIST.
    By the way, take into account only value 1 is allowed for India as per note 1039346.

    Thanks Dilek for quick reply, but I am unable to find order field for my field status group in OBC4.
    Let me tell you the background of what I did ...
    I have one wage type 4113 which was linked to vendor account. I changed the link from vendor to balance sheet account and specified new GL 23206 for my symbolic account of wage type 4113.
    When I post the payroll result to FI after this change. I got this error.

    1.Go to the master account of that G/L (F-02).
    2.Check the field status variant defined there.
    At Customization screen (SPRO):
    3.Go to the master account of that field status variant.
    4.Change the status of business area field optional.

    Dear Nazrul,
    Go to tx. FS00 and enter account 12053040 for 9000 Cocd. Select "Create/Bank/Interest" sheet and check the entry on "Field status group".
    Here you'll three options:
    1. If you run SM34 for V_T004V and select your field status group you can go to dynphro "Additional account assigments" and for "Business Area" field stablish flag on Optional Entry position instead of the Required one now in use.
    2. Revise your entries on SM34 for V_T004V in order to find a field status group that could match with the one in use for your GL account except for "Business Area" field. Afterwards, run tx. FS00 for 12053040 account and modify the entry on "Field status group" for the one that you have choosen on the previous step.
    3. Run tx SM34 for V_T004V and make a copy of the field status group in use on your account, and modify the entry for the business are from required to optional or suppressed. Afterwards, modify your GL account on tx. FS00 changing the original field status group for this new one you have created.

    SPRO>Enterprise Structure>Assignment-->Sales & Distribution >Business Area Account Assignment>Assign Business Are to Plant and Division.
    Please check whether BA is assigned or not.

    Looking in the history of one of the two contracts I find the following:
    Invoice 0095639591 from 16.11.2010, an accounting document was created
    and in the accounting document CO object is cost center (and not COPA)
    14901.
    Account 52301203 has Field status group Z103 (cost - mad CostCenter)
    Our user is saying that (eq 3529183592, invoice 95639591)
    should have a cost center assigned in the equipment master. After
    entering that cost center (14901) the accounting document was created
    correctly.
    However when we checked the "DefaultAcctAssgmnt" of the cost element 52301203, the filed Cost center is empty.
    Can you please help with your suggessions?

    Hi everybody, I am having a problem with the new storage location created, when I register a material issue (transaction mb1a) The system show me the next error:

    The account 1501070000 is the new account created for the new storage location. It works with the fund 40-002. But if i change the account for the 3034 valution category the system do the material issue without problem but uusing the fund 40-001. Do you have any suggestion? Regards.

    Hi Vini,
    Goto the TCode OBC4 and select the field status group which you have given in the GL Account BP01 45600000 and make the text as the optional entry.  Then your document gets posted.
    If you think that other postings will be affected if you change the Field status group, then copy that field status group with another name and make the text as optional in that new field status group and assign the same in the GL Account BP01 45600000.  This will solve your problem.

    I check following things.
    1.. Check Field status group of GL 151100 and make optional to Profit center.
    2.. In SE38, enter Report RM07CUFA and execute with 201 movt. type, 151100 Gl no. and 50200 cost center. According to this, no error exist now.
    What should be error..

    I think your cost centre is not assigned the above given bussiness area...
    Take help of FI consultant and check whether its assigned at KS02 or not...
    You can also change it...
    or
    if you are just doing testing, then better use other cost centre which assigned to the above given business area..

    I get this error when I try to bill a sales document, where do I maintain this setting. I assigned the Account Assigment Group to GL account via transaction VKOA. The AAG si then assigned to the masterial in the sales views. I still get the error of the cost centee field being missing. the setting is not in OKB9, I checked. Check error message from SAP below when I try to release document to Accounting.

    Change the field status group for the GL account in the bank/interest tab of Tcode FS00.(Example from G004 to G019)
    As the metioned GL will be a revenu account it does not require a cost center, only profit center is requierd.

    we had created a new plant 3800. During configurations , business users created material for 3800 on 3000 and started purchase. Now after configurations, those materials had to be extended on plant 3800. Material have been extended but when the stock is transfered from 3000 to 3800 via MB1B , system says "

    Any idea that why this error comes? I have checked every thing, cudnt sought out.

    When you are transferring the material from one plant to other plant using mvt type 301 or 303/305 etc.,
    there is a field selection variation between the mvt type and G/L account which was triggered for this Transaction.For mvt type 301, the filed Business area is not mandatory and for G/L account 2201001 the feild is mandatory.
    You can resolve this by changing one of the field selection group, i.e. either MVt type or G/L account.to do this follow the procedure.
    1.Go to SE38
    2.Type program RM07CUFA
    3.Execute the program
    4.It will ask for Mvt type nad G/L account number, give the details and execute
    5.System will display the difference between the two filed selection groups.
    6.From the same screen , you can change the fileds option by selecting the error log.
