Changing server options

How can I changer server options on my i5? It appears to be different than previous models. There are no Advanced settings.

How does ATT like you to configure the SMTP (outgoing mail) server? In particular, what is the port that is used?
When I first upgraded to Mountain Lion, one of my email account's outgoing (SMTP) server stopped working. I played around for a while and finally I found that setting the port manually instead of using "default" got things working again. As far as I can remember this happened (for this particular account) on all devices in my household. Of which there are many.
I used one of the default port numbers, 587, I just didn't use the default button. Sort of like black magic, I know. Especially since other accounts I have use the default port just fine.
This may not help you at all. But it won't hurt to try. You get there via Mail, Preferences, Accounts, Outgoing Mail Server, Edit SMTP server list, Advanced.

Can't change search options in Outlook 2007 on Windows Server 2008R2 Remote Desktop Users

One of my users is trying to change search options in Outlook 2007.
But he can't change the search options.
He is working with Outlook 2007 on Remote Desktop Services 2008 r2.
We doen't use cache mode on terminal server.
Any sugesstion how we can enabling search options for remote desktop users ?

To customize Instant Search options by using Group Policy
- In Group Policy, load the Office Outlook 2007 template (Outlk12.adm).
- To customize how results are displayed, under
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Microsoft Office Outlook 2007\Tools | Options\Preferences\Search Options, double-click the setting that you want to set. For example, double-click Turn off wordwheel.
- Click Enabled. For hit highlighting color, choose a color from the Background Color drop-down list.
- Click OK.

In addition, perform below steps to edit the registry key and check.
Step 1: Open the Registry Editor application.
Step 2: In the Registry Editor, click the Edit menu and select Find. Type PreventIndexingOutlook in the search field and click Find Next.
Step 3: Right click PreventIndexingOutlook and select Modify. Change its Value data to
0 and click OK.
Step 4: Search again by clicking the Edit menu and select Find. Type SetupCompletedSuccessfully in the search field and click Find Next. Locate this key.
Step 5: Right click the SetupCompletedSuccessfully key and select Modify. Change its Value Data to 0 and click OK.
Step 6: Restart your computer and you will now be able to perform advanced searches in Microsoft Outlook.

Change server in SAP B1 8.8

Hi Experts,
I have installed 2 server at my client place, 1st one is Live server and 2nd one is test server.
I am using client on my laptop and if i want to change the server, could not able to find change server button on change company form, earlier it was available in SAP B1 2007.
Is there any other option to change the server in SAP B1 8.8

Bug when using Edit in Server Option while editting HiQ node.

I have recently started using HiQ nodes in my applications, but am running into problems. If I enter the "Edit in Server Option" and then change applications or click on another window without closing the HiQ server window I run into problems. I can no longer enter the "Edit in Server Option" and the HiQ program will not run. I can not seem to find the HiQ server window. The only way I have found around this problem is to close the current document, reopen it, delete the HiQ node and rewrite the entire code, and be very careful to always close the HiQ server window before doing anything else. Of course this is not a suitable solution. Has anyone else run into this problem? Have you figured out a fix?

MSAD USER CHANGE PASWORD OPTION

As I am using MSAD as my USER directory,I am not able to see the change password option in hyperion workspace 11.1.2.2.for MSAD users.This option is available for Native users but hte same is not Available for MSAD users.Please guide me how do we achieve it.

I understand that as our Native directory users can change their pasword through Workspace,TOOLS->CHANGE PASSWORD option,but for MSAD users to change password will have to contact MSAD administrator,or they can change through WINDOWS CHANGE PASSWORD option.
But again many of our users are not in our domain(i mean they are not using our MSAD directory) so how can they change their password through WINDOWS. And as we have many users in other domain ,it is not possible to contact administrator each time the password expires.Please suggest some solution or can I configure multiple MSAD server so that all the users are covered.

Ipad DHCP Server Options

we are currently evaluating the ipad, but we have started to have issues when we altered our DHCP server Options (Needed as we are also evaluating XenDesktop 4)
Option 66 -XenDesktop
option 67 - XenDesktop
option 43 - Mitel VoIP
since these changes all ipads struggle to get an IP address , it can take up to 15 minuets to connect, My Ipad witch has a static IP connects fine.
is anybody having any issues like this ?

You probably should address this question directly to Apple as you are not likely to get any answer here. This could be a bug in how DHCP options are handled.

Finder's " Go Menu" is not showing connect to server option.....

I have a series of iMac computers (running 10.5.8) that finder's go menu is missing the "connect to server" option. Neither does "Apple + K" work on these machines.
I tried adding the "Connect" button to the tool bar from the customize toolbar option. Once added the icon is grayed out. The computers are connecting out to the internet, but I need them to specifically pick up servers from our school for server run applications. I am not sure why this option is no longer available on my machines. I try reinstalling the op system on the machines, and it still comes back the same way.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

I do manage the machines on a server. I checked workgroup manager and the settings are the same as the rest of my iMacs for these particular machines. The connect to servers command is checkmarked in the finder preferences of work group manager.
I was logged into the admin account for each machine while trying to find this finder preference. I did delete the plist as directed, and when relaunching finder the connect to server did not come back.
You'll have to forgive my ignorance as I am a teacher managing machines for my building, as I am teaching myself these basics. This is only happening on a handful of machines. All running up to date 10.5.8. They suddenly stopped working after our school did a network change (separate vlans). All the other machines accepted the change, but these machines suddenly lost this finder preference. Very odd...

You don't need to upgrade your software. But if you're struggling with Spry, IMO you should cut your losses and switch to something better for the longrun.
If you have a budget to work with, I highly recommend Project Seven's Pop-Menu Magic 3. It's easy to use in DW CS4, 5, 6 or CC. More importantly, it's bullet proof and works in all devices.

Can someone help me? How do I change the option to pick where or what program I want to open a file after I've downloaded it? I tried to look for an option for this and can't find it anywhere.

For example I download a file and I click on it and there will sometimes be a window that opens saying what program I want to open the file with? And then it'll also have a check box saying if I want to use this program for all files I download. I can't change it when I download the file because that one file I keep downloading keeps crashing my Firefox and I have to force quit. It's really getting on my nerves. It's an online statement I'm trying to view and I want to get rid of that problem!! Is there anyway to change that option without going to that download page?

I would recommend going into device manager on your PC and making sure that you have correctly installed the IR dongle. Also what version of hotsync manager are you currently using?

"Domain Admins" falls into the category of protected groups and it is included in ADminSDHolder process. It is normal and was designed in order to prevent the modification to these privileged groups. More information on the link below:

How to replace ENTERPRISE Server Option by BB Internet Service Option?

On my 8700 there is the ENTERPRISE Server option installed.
As I want to vsend and receive emails from different email account without making use of the BB Enterprise geature I would like to get rid of the Enterprise-program installed and replace it by the Internet Service option.
I wonder whether this would be possible.
Can I replace Enterprice feature by the normal Internet Service?? and how?

The options you are presented with when you start the email configuration wizard are controlled by virtue of the account type you have with your carrier. Given what you describe, it sounds as if you have perhaps on a generic data plan (or perhaps no data plan at all) -- that is normally not sufficient to grant you access to the Blackberry Internet Service that is hosted at your carrier. To enable Personal Email configuration, you must contact your carrier and request what is often (thought not universally) called The Blackberry Data Plan. Whatever it is called, you need a plan from your carrier that grants you access to the enhanced Blackberry services that they host - and you must pay them to access those enhanced services. Once you have that proper account, you will have Personal email as a configuration option (note, though, that Enterprise will not be "replaced"...rather, Personal will be added to the screen).

Can't access the "delete from server" option in AOL mail setting.

iPhone 4s, ios 5.1, Verizon customer. I have never had an issue until this phone. Any ideas why I can see the "delete from server" option, but I can't check it? It's really annoying to delete emails from my phone and then have to go back and delete from my computer.

Is the email account that has this problem a POP account or IMAP. If POP, there should be a setting in the account's setting that determines whether an email is deleted from the server when downloaded. If IMAP than deleting on the device should delete on the server and other devices/computers. A problem can occur if the other devices have already downloaded the same email that you are trying to delete. It may take some time for it to delete from other devices. And some providers have bugs in this process. My carrier is Verizon, but I never use their email service.

I have a problem in using SAP B1 8.8. I have 2 separated server which is one is contain license server and the other server contain database company. My client doesn't want the company database in one server with license server. In SAP B1 2007 that my client used before, this is not a problem. But now, in SAP B1 8.8, it's become a problem because SAP remove "CHANGE SERVER" button in modul change company. I tried to click in the server list but the server that appear is License Server only. I can't find Database Server.
So, How can i choose the database server ?

before you can add your <server-name>\SQLEXPRESS you must have your SBO-COMMON database available in SQL Server.
If you have the original SBO-COMMON.mdf and SBO-COMMON_log.LDF files just place them under you SQL Server DATA folder (e.g. C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL10_50.SQLEXPRESS\MSSQL\DATA) and Attach from MS SQL Server Management Studio.
Also attach any company databases.
After that you can add <server-name>\SQLEXPRESS as follows:
- open SAP B1 Service Manager
- select License Manager service and click Settings
- click Configure Security (bottom left)
- enter password and click OK
- enter your Connection Settings e.g.
    MSSQL_2008
    <server-name>\SQLEXPRESS
    sa
    <sa-user-password>
- click OK
That will take care of the connection settings but not of your Add-ons registration.
So if you have any add-ons (e.g. Screen Painter, Fixed Assets, etc.) you will have to manually edit the AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo file (under C:\Program Files\SAP\SAP Business One) and change any
Name="<server-name>" entries to Name="<server-name>\SQLEXPRESS"
Save the modified file.
Now start the SAP client, press Change Company and set you Current Server to <server-name>\SQLEXPRESS
Done.

I tried powering down and re-starting the iPhone (as suggested at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275). This seems to have cleared the "...not connected to the Internet" problem, and iOS 6.1 is now in the process of downloading.
