Changing shared variable reference modes for all nodes in application. Shortcut?

I have a large application which makes extensive use of both network-published and single-process shared variables.  I want to change the reference mode of every such node in the application from absolute to target-relative.  Is there any way to do this without having to open every subVI in the application and use the right-click menu on every node?
Sean

I don't know of any shortcut, but if you want to change the reference node of everything in the application you could probably script it.  I was thinking something similar to what I have below where you traverse the BD of a specific VI for all SharedVariableNodes and change the relative mode to Target Relative.
Depending on how your project is organized you can add some additional functionality before the open VI reference to go through and open the reference of every VI in your project.

  • Create material from reference material for all org.levels

    Hi,
    i want to create a material from a reference material with all MARA, MAKT, MARC, MBEW, MARD, MARM, MVKE, MLAN, MLGN and MLGT content for all organizational levels of the reference material.
    For instance, my reference material has 200 MARC entries. All these entries should also be created for the new material.
    Transaction MM01 will copy from reference but only for 1 organizational level. To create 200 plants manually with MM01 is not an option.
    I have to develop a copy from reference transaction, where i select the new material number, the reference material number and the required tables (MARA, MAKT, etc)
    I can read the current tablevalues and insert new entries into the required SAP standard tables, but that is not nice.
    Is there another option to do the job ?
    I know there are bapi's, but these are related to one org.level. For 200 plants, i have to execute 200 bapi to get the data from the reference material and another 200 bapi's to create the new material.
    with kind regards,
    Hans

    Hi Goutam,
    You can use the BAPI BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA, which will create/update the material. You can pass the reference material in the filed BAPI_MARA-PL_REF_MAT. And you can pass reference material for all view like this.

  • How to capture the change in the update mode (for Inventory) in a transport

    Hi all,
    I recently changed the update mode for Inventory Controlling  from Unserialized V3 Update to Queued delta in R/3 DEV environment. When I was doing the change it did not prompt for a transport request. Now I have to somehow capture this in a transport and move it to R/3 Quality environment. How do I capture this change in a transport.
    Thanks in advance,
    Ram Kumar.

    there are 2 options
    1) try changing back and forth and see if it prompts for a request
    2) Create a customizing request and add the following entry into the request
    Program ID - R3TR; Object type - TABU; Object name -  TMCEXUPD
    and make the entry ...How ?? Click on the key that you see under the column 'Function'
    client/application component.. if client is 100 and application component is 11
    then the table entry should be 10011
    Assign points if it helps
    P.S:if you check the table TMCEXUPD shows you the update mode

  • Changing shared key in bulk for Clients in ACS 4.2.1

    HI,
    is there any way to change the shared secret key for all devices in bulk instead of going to each clients and changing key in ACS 4.2.1 ?
    Please let me know if is there any way to perform it faster.
    Thanks

    Hi Nitin,
    Well, if you have all the devices in a single NDG then just click on that NDG >> at the bottom click edit properties  >> enter the new shared secret key there and it will take precedence from there on. Even though if you click on any AAA client inside that NDG, it will show the OLD shared secret key but due to the presence of this feature where NDG key will always override the AAA client, this will surely work for you.
    If you're not convinced with the above suggestion and really want to change the shared secret key then let me know;
    Are you using ACS SE or ACS windows. I'm assuming that you have ACS SE
    Here you need a CSV file with the action code to certain NAS and you should be able to synch the CSV file with RDBMS to the database using
    4.2 version
    Code 224 - UPDATE_NAS
    VN = AAA client Name
    V1 = IP-Address
    V2 = shared secret key
    V3 = vendor

  • Any Way to Change Thickness of Connector Lines for all lines of a Chart?

    Post Author: ScottL
    CA Forum: Charts and Graphs
    Hi All,
    I am trying to change the thickness of a Chart's Connector Lines for all lines of a chart and cannot find a way to accomplish this. I can go into Report Preview and individually change the thickness one at a time, but what if I do not know how many lines I will have (as in a Line Chart) ? I can't find a way to do this through Crystal Reports XI.
    Many thanks in advance!
    Scott

    I think it's even easier to just match frame the "source file"... put your playhead on the clip you want to speed change in your sequence. Then type optioncmdf. Perform the speed change in the Viewer, then simply cut it in... Might help to put it up above the older, use the double arrow selection tool facing right to move the clips past this change later... pull the upper track speed changed clip down over the old, and viola.
    Gotta say though, it's a lot easier to perform the speed change in the Viewer, and edit it all in as you go rather than doing it after you've put the clip in a sequence. (not always possible to determine what the speed change should be maybe, but sure easier.... FCP 7 handles this problem a lot better for sure, and worth the upgrade price if your machine is compatible.

  • Cannot disable compatibility mode for all users once enabled

    I work for a school district technology department. For a computer lab that is using an old version of adobe Photoshop, we tried turning compatibility mode to windows xp and set it to run as administrator for all users in hopes that it might fix some problems
    with the program. When students log on it now asks them for a password. They do not have local administrator rights to the computers. After going back in and disabling the compatibility settings, the students are still being asked for a password to run the
    program. I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling photoshop and the computer is still asking for a password to open the program. Is there some way to undo this in a permanent fashion so students are not asked for a pssword?

    Hello Mike Witnauer,
    Please correct me if I have misunderstanding:
    1. The student account can ran the Photoshop without administrator password before you turn compatibility mode to Windows XP.
    2. Then, the students need the password to run the Photoshop no matter if you use compatible setting.
    Please take the following steps and check if this issue still exists.
    1. Enable built-in administrator account
    2. Use the following code
     runas /user:ComputerName\Administrator /savecred "Full path to program's exe file"
    For more information, please take a look at the answer in the following thread.

  • Getting TreePath for all nodes in a JTree

    Hi everybody
    I want to get TreePath for all the nodes in a JTree
    Can anybody help me?

    Hi,
    i tried to used your code.
    there is a problem, it is not taking the entire paths.
    so if you have some children,it takes the paths only for the fathers.
    so i correct it to the following way(it will take the entire paths):
    public void getPathForAllNodes(TreePath path)
                  Object node = path.getLastPathComponent();
                  pathArrayList.add(path);
                  TreeModel model = tree.getModel();
                  if(model.isLeaf(node))
                  return;
                  int num = model.getChildCount(node);
                  for(int i = 0; i < num; i++)
                       //pathArrayList.add(path);
                       getPathForAllNodes(path.pathByAddingChild(model.getChild(node, i)));
             }thanks for your code

  • Changing file clicking default behaviour for all users

    Is there a way to change the default file clicking behaviour for all users? Each user can do it himself by going via the username menu ("Personal Preferences", "When clicking on a file...") but I would prefer to set it for all users to a value that is different from the default.

    Hi Ganesh,
    Can u pl post how you solved this.

  • Random Number being changed to the same number for all rows

    hello all,
    first of all I want to mention that this problem start happening after 2.14 instalation of Power Query.
    I'm creating new column in my query and setting all values to random numbers. The problem is that next step (doesn't matter what it do itself) somehow changes all those random numbers to the same random number for all lines.
    here's code sample:
    InsertedCustom = Table.AddColumn(RemovedColumns3, "Random Number", each Number.Random()),
        InsertedCustom2 = Table.AddColumn(InsertedCustom, "Analyst Full Name", each [Analyst First Name]&" "&[Analyst Last Name]),
    when I'm checking step by step, InsertedCustom  creates new column and all values are being set randomly for all lines BUT when going to the next step (InsertedCustom2) all values in the column "Random Number" are being changed to the
    same number (no matter that InsertedCustom2 itself should not be doing anything to column named "Random Number") . I even tried moving InsertedCustom step to the bottom of my code but it didn't help and still facing this issue.
    p.s. updated my PQ to 2.15 - didn't help

    This is a known issue. Power Query assumes that functions are idempotent (given the same arguments, they produce the same result), which isn't true for Number.Random. Our optimization pipeline is turning Number.Random() into a constant in the scenario you
    encountered, which results in all rows having the same value.
    There's been some discussion of how to fix this, but that won't help you in the near term. Can you describe a bit more about your scenario and what you're trying to accomplish? Perhaps we can help you find a workaround.

  • Stereo speakers mod for ALL apps and sounds

    Hi Sony Community,
    I want ask you if there is a mod without root to use the speakers of my Xperia Z2 on stereo for ALL apps, calls and sounds (system and not system).
    I found very bad that Sony hasn't optimize Android 5 with this feature because the speakers of Xperia Z2 are very beautiful and functional, better than Z3, but without stereo output are very limited and reduce the potential of this smartphone!
    The stereo front speakers of Xperia are one of the GREAT and BEST design features against ALL Samsung and Apple devices, so I don't understand why Sony use they on stereo to give us a powerful and especially COMPLETE sound output
    I hope in a future implemention of this setting into next firmware update, but now I will very haapy if there is a sostitutive mod to force to use speakers o stereo for ALL.
    Every answers are welcome to me!
    Cheers
    Solved!

    No problem.. It's as safe as any modification of software I guess. I have never had any issues, but yes I'm sure just rooting the device will not lose your drm keys. You only lose drm keys when unlocking the bootloader which I do not feel comfortable doing.
    There's a full tutorial on XDA on how to do this. To sum it up, you pretty much have to downgrade in order to root and have custom recovery, then flash a pre-rooted stock rom. This will give you 100% stock experience, but with root added. Then you can choose which mods, etc you like to flash like the one mentioned above.
    It doesn't require too much knowledge, and isn't too complicated, but I'd still recommend reading up on it a lot before doing it, just in case anything happens. I always make sure I read instructions in full at least 3 or 4 times to feel comfortable.

  • Same JDK for all nodes?

              given that you have to be running the same OS,
              do you have to run the same version of the Java VM in all nodes in a cluster?
              i.e., are JDK 1.3.1 and 1.2.2 interoperable within a cluster?
              thanks
              bob

    Hi Bob,
              You might get away with mixing JVMs in a cluster, but beware that there
              could be serialization or other wire protocol (e.g. standard RMI) issues.
              Those are the main things to be worried about. The serialization issues are
              largely avoided by Sun by using the serialversionid stuff (to fix the
              apparent serialization format for a class) and RMI etc. has been pretty
              stable for some time. You're just going to have to test the waters and let
              us know how it works out.

  • Turn Off Touch Mode for all users

    Hello-
    I have a terminal services environment and i need to turn off touch mode in Acrobat Reader XI for all users. How can I accomplish this?
    TIA

    Thanks!
    For anyone else looking for this solution:
    Install Acrobat on your computer. Open the preferences, general tab and set touch wizard to your desired setting (for me it was never).
    Install the Adobe customization wizard(Free download. Just make sur eyou use the same version as the reader you are using).
    Launch the adobe customization wizard. FIle open package. Navigate to the install folder and select the .msi file
    Once you have the install open go to the registry section and from the local computer copy the HKCU>Software>Adobe>Acrobat Reader>11.0>Touch  key into the target computer's registry HKCU>Software>Adobe>Acrobat Reader>11.0 key with the Adobe customization wizard.
    Make any other customizations you want.
    Save the package.
    Now anytime you install from that package all users will get the touch wizard default setting that you set.
