Changing switch management from default Vlan1

I'm in the process of changing some access layer switches and the distribution switch away from the default Vlan1 for switch management. I'm a little unclear on the native Vlan information. If I change the management vlan to lets say 299 do I need to change the trunk ports to reflect a native vlan of 299?

Not neccessarily. Just make sure you allow the new VLAN on the trunk.

wanted and will need to wait weeks for a backorder (whether I decide to
stay with Verizon or not)

All,
I configured vtp version on a switch incorrectly. I changed it to VTP Ver 2, and then changed it back to VTP Ver 1.
When I do a sho vtp status:
It still shows me VTP version 2.
Why is this? Is there any way for me to change this back to Ver 1?

Follow these guidelines when deciding which VTP version to implement:
•All switches in a VTP domain must run the same VTP version.
•A VTP version 2-capable switch can operate in the same VTP domain as a switch running VTP version 1 if version 2 is disabled on the version 2-capable switch (version 2 is disabled by default).
•Do not enable VTP version 2 on a switch unless all of the switches in the same VTP domain are version-2-capable. When you enable version 2 on a switch, all of the version-2-capable switches in the domain enable version 2. If there is a version 1-only switch, it does not exchange VTP information with switches with version 2 enabled.
•If there are TrBRF and TrCRF Token Ring networks in your environment, you must enable VTP version 2 for Token Ring VLAN switching to function properly. To run Token Ring and Token Ring-Net, disable VTP version 2.

After looking at the code, I noticed RealmManager is not documented in the BEA
Javadocs. Am I missing something or is it not documented. Lot of other methods
also not documented. Do you have the latest Javadocs?

Windows 8.1 Starting Virtual Switch Manager from VMM crashes VMM service

Started happening after tried to add external switch using WiFi.
Now, VSM shows 'Load Failed' for the switch. Immediately after stating s/w manager VMM service crashes. I am unable to add a new virtual switch.
Any help will be appreciated.

If it is only happen to creating external virtual switch bounding it to Wireless NIＣ, I would suggest you to delete all virtual switch then uninstall hyper-v role and update the driver for wireless NIC then install hyper-v again to check the result .
(By the way , in most of the cases external virtual switch bounding to wireless NIC will not work well as bounding it to wired NIC )
I would suggest you do not create external virtual switch bounding to wireless NIC .
If you want the VMs can access internet through host's wireless NIC please refer to following thread :

Having trouble connecting my macbook pro after switching security from default WEP to WPA2

Background: switched to verizon fios triple play last summer and everything has been great. I have one desktop PC and one Macbook pro laptop. These are the only computers that me and my family have used on this network. I'm a college student and went away to college and just came back for Thanksgiving break. I connected to the internet fine on my macbook pro, but I noticed that the little lock next to the SSID was no longer present. I'm extremely paranoid and diligent when it comes to computer security, so I quickly began googling why the lock was no longer there. I was afraid my wifi network was no longer "locked" or encrypted. So, after doing some more research, I ended up coming across WEP and how it's not really secure, so I went through all the steps to change it to WPA2. Everything went fine and the internet is working just fine on my PC.
Now here's the problem, I went on my macbook pro and was glad to see the lock sympol was present next to the SSID on the wireless pulldown. Unfortuantely, the password is apparently not working. First I thought the password was still the WEP key which you can find on the tag on the back of the router. It didn't work, so next I though it might be the wps pin, it didn't work. Then I typed in the password to log into the site where you can change the settings(the site where you get to by typing the ip address(I think or router address(?)). That didn't work either. So now I'm here looking for an answer. Hopefully someone can give me a solution which would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Nevermind........I just realized the password to the new WPA2 setting is the name you inserted when it asks you to name the WPA2.

I am going to connect all mgmt ports of server to this access switch (L2; 2960x) like below. Then I have a management port in 2960x (FastEthernet / L3 port). As you can see below, even though one of Core switch is down, I am able to access through the other Core switch for mgmt SW. Do I need this FastEthernet port of 2960X?

2) From server side, server put default gateway (192.168.0.1) so if destination is not known, it dumps all to default gateway. This is L3. I understand this. What about L2 default gateway from switch itself? The L2 access switch supports "ip default-gateway" command. I know that without this command still servers do not have any problems to connect to network. Then this command is for switch (2960x) itself? i.e I log into the switch and ping google.com then switch will try to resolve through DNS, but if DNS is not set up in the switch, it sends all traffic to "ip default-gateway"? Is it right?
3) If L2 (Access) switch has multiple data vlans and mgmt vlan (10.0.0.0/24 10.0.10.0/24 192.168.0.1). Then what will be the "ip default-gateway" for this switch?

How to Change the Projector's Default Background. I would like to change the default backgound from the Apple Starfield to plain black

I want to be able to change my projectors default background while using my mac book pro. Currently it is showing Apple's signature background. I would like to change it to a plain black background so that when I disengage mirroring the screen the audience sees will go black; thus allowing me to make any necessary changes/switch programs and then engage mirroring. Log in on iCloud.com and go to Mail. In Mail, at the bottom left you should see a gear icon. Click on it, go to Settings (or Preferences, I'm doing this from memory), and in there you'll find an option to forward your iCloud email to another service.

How To Set Third Party Media App Is Default When Launched From Default File Manager

I use rock media player, which can encode & decode The Video and audio files i use, unlike the phone i have, i don't receive the option to set the app as the default media player. I would really like to be able to use this app on the thrive as it is some much a better media player than the thrives defaulty app. Rock player is the name of the app, who do set it as the default player when launched from the default file manager.

From my experience playing with the Thrive, when you attempt to watch a media file, it will open a menu asking you what application to use. From that popup, you can set a default.

Cannot change from default printer in Acrobat X by code

pp.printerName = "\\\\print server\\printer"; works flawlessly in Acrobat 9 Standard but will not change from default printer in Acrobat X Standard unless run in the console. I've checked the printer names through the console and they are listed correctly. Javascript enable menu items is checked. I've even tried creating trusted functions (which still work flawlessly in Acrobat 9, but not in Acrobat X). All other printer settings in Acrobat X change as coded once the printer is changed manually.
Any suggestions?

I fixed it!!! Following advice from similar posts, I searched the hard drive for "sessionrestore.js" in my Firefox Profiles folder (you'll need to enable viewing of hidden files in Windows Explorer (Tools > Folder Options > View (then select Hidden files option) then Apply to all folders) to do this). I then shut down Firefox, deleted the file and restarted - my home page was correct and it didn't try to open my old session! Some other posts suggested deleting everything called "sessionrestore" in that folder, but I didn't need to.
