Changing the flow which is in process

There is some problem in one workflow which is running in production. now i have corrected that problem in development and transported to production . now its working fine. but the old process which is already in flow is referring only the old workflow templete . now i want to change that into new templete . please give me some ideas for this .

No offence intended. The choice was simple: stay quiet and be sure nobody gets upset, or make sure that nobody reading this thread runs into trouble by following bad advice. I choose the one most helpful to the community. Your meaning was very clear: "delete the original workflow". Result: all existing workflows will no longer have a template to refer back to, very bad.
Anyhow, no problems, I think we have made the position clear.
As a general comment to others, may I suggest that people take a little more care and think about their answers before just posting the first thing that comes to mind. This is a community effort to help each other, not a point competition.

Need to change the name of a GP process instance at runtime.

Is there a way to change the name of a GP process instance at runtime? I would like to change the name of the process instance to include the employee's name who initiated the process. This way when the process owner or overseer displays thier list of processes from the GP Runtime Work Center, they can tell who initiated each process.

If the users are invoking the Process from Web Dynpro or some other application using GP API, then you can try the followigI.
You can try using the startProcess() method of the IGPRuntimeManager object. It has multiple paramaters of which two(second and third) are for the userProvidedName and userProvidedDescription. You can set any name and description while invoking the GP process and the name and description should appear in the Runtime for the owners/overseers/administrators in hte list of process instances. You can add the name of the Employee while setting that name and description.

How can we restrict the other user to change the record which has been entered by particular user in MDS

I have created Product entity in MDS. It's having the following values:
Name Code Owner
Bike    1     ABC
Car      2     XYZ
Cycle   3     RRR
owner XYZ can change the record of RRR. But if owner XYZ or any other owner in this entity tried to update the ABC's record, access should be denied. That means, no one should have the permission to change the records which are entered by ABC.
For this i have executed this code

I have created 2 entities called Party and Owner. Party has following columns (name, Code, Owner (Domain Based Attribute)) Owner has following columns (name, Code) And I have Created one Derived Hierarchy.
From user and Group Permision Section, Hierarchy Members tab I have given read only permision to me (administrator of the Model). When I gave the permision I have selected users and Inherited from group in permission tab. And I'm not the part of any group.
Now I'm not able to see my model except the explorer area. And I'm not able to delete the permission from the user. As per the admin guide we need to delete permission from group.
Though I'm not the part of any group, I'm not able to proceed further to delete the permission.
Please help me out in this regard. Thanks!

All you need is a physical plug adapter, not a voltage converter. All Apple chargers work on any voltage from 110 - 240 worldwide.

Change the flow of the BPEL service based on WSDL operation

I have a wsdl which has three types on operations:
1) SOAP
2) HTTP GET
3) HTTP POST
I have a BPEL process in which the flow need to be decided on basis of operation of the incoming message... i.e; If it is a SOAP then I should execute a particular flow .. similarly if it is HTTP GET or POST I need to perform different activities flows respectiviely.
1) At the BPEL side can I implement this using PICK activity with different branches for different operations in Receive activity ?? If not, Please let me know any other alternative ...
2) Since I have three different types of Protocols of operations (SOAP, HTTP GET, HTTP POST), how do I give input to BPEL through the same partnerlink ?? Should I use three partner links to invoke a bpel process (at Exposed Services side) to receive input from (two HTTP Adapters for GET, POST and one for SOAP operation) ?

Hi,
Can you make one thing clear please - Your bpel process by definition has 3 operations to start with, or you want to call a WS with 3 operations?

If you need to call a WS with 3 operations, you have to use an invoke activity(x3). Meaning, you can:
1. Seperate your process into 3, according to the needed operation. Each process will execute one operation.
2. Use some logic and call the same partner link 3 times(3 invokes), each time with a different operation.
A pick activity will help you when you want to receive one message or more, and/or you want to have time limitation on the receive.
For understanding the pick activity - in your example, let's say the WS you are calling is a bpel process. Then, it will start with a pick activity, and according to the operation, it will execute the right flow.

open the process chain and go to edit mode and then press Ctrl+F6 for a rename... you can only rename the description and not the technical name.
If you want to edit PC in production - esp one which has been transported - go to transport connection and change the object changeability for the same to everything changeable ( right click on the same to get this option )

How do I change the photo which is part of my Apple mail ID?

I have just recently become more familiar with my two email addies attached to my Mac stuff. I have been using my email addy @iCloud.com and @me.com and keep seeing that my email has a photo added to it which I want to change. Originally I added a photo (somehow...was really not knowing what I was doing I guess) and am definitely not able to figure out how I did that. So now when I text or email using the Apple stuff, people see the photo I added but it is one that I think I want to change. I have been trolling around trying to find where this photo might be located but so far no luck. Is anyone able to help me with this? I took a grab of the window with the photo showing so it could explain for me what I am asking about. It is the photo of the girl you can see there that is attached to my Apple stuff and I am thinking I want to change it since that is not me...:-)

It is very interesting that there are so many different ways to do some things on Mac and not much of it is out where it is easy to find out about...but sometimes just "fiddling" seems to work well...
The user image and the contact image are two different things. You can get to your Me card from the Users & Groups, but you can have a different image on your account image and on your Contact card.
Again, neither of which are sent with your emails, unless you attach your contact card.

Where exactly did you double-click on your name? I wasn't aware of this so I was trying to duplicate it. I can't get my Contact card in any way except for clicking on the Open... button on my account info in Users & Groups. I can't find a way to double-click a name and have it open Contacts.

How to purge the workflow which is in process

Hi Friends,
I am facing one problem in the AME Workflow.
when a user submit a page for approval process, workflow engine invokes . and in the hr_api_transcations table transacation id is created for that workflow transacation. now the problem is, if i purge that workflow process using concurrent program 'PURGE OBSELETE WORKFLOW RUNTIME DATA' . it is deleting the workflow. but when i see the hr_api_transacation table still the transacation id for that workflow is active.
Example :-
when i see through through the responsibility (workflow administrator web applications)=>Administrator workflow=>Status monitor
when i type the item key say some x and search for the workflow status i cant see the workflow status. i can see it is deleted.
but when i type the same item key in the hr_api_transacation
like :- select * from hr_api_transactions where item_key='X' i can see the status of this transacation is active and workflow is in pending.
can anyone explain me why system is behaving like.. how to stop the workflow process and how to delete the transacation id from the table.

How to change the project which is always loaded at startup?

Hi all,
when Logic Express (7.1) starts, it always automatically opens an "Untitled.Iso Arrange" window. The first thing I have to do is to close this and open my own arrangement which I have configured as some sort of starting point for me. Is there any way to tell Logic that it should open this file instead of its generic one when Logic starts? I know that I could start it by double-clicking my "start project" in the Finder, but that's not what I'm looking for...

Autoload Song
Logic allows you to define one template that is automatically loaded each time Logic is booted. This template is called the Autoload Song.
To create your personal Autoload Song:
1 Customize a song to meet your requirements (more on this is discussed in the following chapters).
2 Choose File > Save As Template in Logics main menu bar.
3 Ensure that the Song Templates folder is selected in the dialog box that launches.

Aperture 3.4.1 changes the colors of my previously processed RAW files!

I am revisiting some projects that I worked on in the last couple of months and am assembling a portfolio. When I was trying to choose my favorites I noticed in disbelief that some of my carefully editited and color graded photos looked great in the preview (as I remembered them) but once the "loading" sign disappeared turned horrible with hightlights and different colors!
Mind you, I am not talking about the handling of RAW files after an import. It happens months after import and post-processing has happened and was behaing beautifully. Basically 2000 photos are screwed up this way and I'd have to painfully recreate the raw files by the (still existing) proper previews/thumbnails???
I am thoroughly confused and it would be great if someone could give me some pointers to the dilemma (or even confirm a bug in that regard)

Nah, "Highlight Priority Mode" was switched off.

Where is the entry which autostart opmn processes and agent on linux COS53?

I set up successfully a 10.2.0.5 on CentOS 5.3 (like OEL 5.3),
I see that the opmn processes and the agent are started at boot.
Because I set up the repository on a 10.2.0.4 DB on the same machine I would need to set the start after the DB is up and running (either manage by myself the opmnctl , etc, or editing the current start process to add the dbstart procedure before.
I took a look but I do not see en entry in init.d or in rc.local.
I am missing something.
Could someone give some info?

How can I change the flow of threaded text?

Hi I have a 90 page Indesign 5.5 document in which the text is threaded.
I need to move several pages to another part of the document.
When I move the pages with the pages pallet, the threads go all over the place.
How do I either re direct the thread so it runs in the order I want them to, or break the threads and
re thread them once move is complete?
I would be grateful to anyone who could assist, as I seem to be going in circles trying to remedy this problem.

What do you mean by break the thread? You can break the link between threaded frames by clciking on either the inport or the outport of a frame, then clicking inside that frame, but all of the text inthe the thread will remain with the "upstream" section of the broken thread and any text that was in the downstream section will become overset. You can then insert a new page, pick up that overset text and thread throughthe new page and back into the old section, which remains threaded together.
If you want to actually break the story apart into separate threads, you need to brboth break the thread and cut the overset from the original portion and paste into the empty section. This has been scripted by Dave Saunders for your convenience, or you can do it manually. You'll find Dave's script at http://jsid.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
If you eancounter errors when running the script, move it into a subfolder named "Version 4.0 Scripts" (without the quotes) and it should run,I think. For instruction on how to install scripts, see How to install scripts in InDesign | InDesignSecrets

Error while checking the flow of bpel process in bpel console

Hi Experts
I have created one bpel process which invokes task manager for approving or rejecting the leave request. I ve successfully deployed the bpel process and also able to test approve or reject the leave request . But i am facing one error
when i am initiate a bpel process and started to check the flow of that bpel process in bpelconsole it gives me some error message in small pop up like
error : Internal/ bug ( #589 )

i click Ok and after this no error and all working well.

A quick answer is:
1. make sure you defined the Application/Integration Server in your developer (user/pass you have - if not oc4jadmin then one the IT gave you).
2. Deploy your project to that server.
3. Choose the correct domain in the Console when deploying.

How to change the status of a process chain

Hi,
I went through Siegfried's blog and knew how to restart a process chain at a failed step which doesn't have "Repeat" option.
But is there any other function module through which we can change the "Actual State" of the process chain, in siggi's method we can change only the "i_state" of a particular process but not the "Actual State"(refer to RSPCPROCESSLOG table) of the process chain.
Please do give your suggestions if there is any way to change the "Actual State" of a process chain.

We can directly change the status of the process chain.
there is a specific way to do it, you can go in se38 and change the status from one to another ...go to se38 .... type....rspcprocessmonitor*.........presss f4...
you will get a standard program ..
now go to this program ...and give the set of inputs .... like PID and all from RSPCPROCESSLOG table ..
and in the state give the state you want and press f8.
this should work.
