Changing the ImageData attribute of a list viewnode..

Hi,
I am trying to change the Image Data attribute of a list view node after
a user clicks on it. But it just doesnot get reflected in the listview.
UpdateFieldFromData()/UpdateWindow() donot do the job either.
I could ofcourse clone the node, change it's ImageData, remove the old
node, insert the new one and then do a SetViewNodes(), but that is really
not the solution!!
Has anyone been in this situation before??

I discovered what was wrong with what I did.
You have to an UpdateFieldFromData() on the DisplayNode object of the
listview to get refreshed. Doing an UpdateWindow/UpdatefieldFromData on
the ListView widget doesnot work!!

Error while changing the Display Attribute into Navigational Attribute

Hi all.. Gud Mrng.
I was changed the attribute (product) from display attribute into navigational attribute and while save and activating the info object it is not getting activated and it is throwing the below error message.
Error Message: u201CThe Info object is being used in several data targetsu201D
My Questions:
i) Do I need to delete the data from all the data targets (where this info object is using)??
ii) Do I need to delete data only from the main info object (Zmaterial)? Is this single action enough?
Please suggest me which action I need to follow & What are the precautions need to take while changing the Display Attribute (product) into Navigational attribute of info object (Zmaterial).

Only in case of key figures we cannot change it from display to navigational.
If the info object is a characteristics then in the General tab of the info object if you select 'attribute only' then the iobj would be a display attribute only. If you leave it unmarked then you can use the iobj as a navigational atribute.
I am sure you know that these settings only mean if a IOBJ can be used as display or navigational. To use it as a navigational within another object you will have to change the settings from 'DIS' to 'NAV' for the said info object in the 'Attributes' tab of its parent info object.
Further if you use the parent info object in any data target / infio provider you will have to further mark the info object as 'navigational' while defining the attrbute of the said data target / info provider. The info object gets displayed in the data target / info provider attribute properties as 'parent IOBJ_info object'

How can I change the settings in Safari to list the open windows chronologically instead of alphabetically? I keep a lot of open windows e.g., 25 windows and many tabs on each) and like to work between a few at a time. The problem is that Safari reorganizes windows alphabetically. Once I open a new window, it take a while to find the windows I'm looking for. Chrome and Firefox list the open windows chronologically which I find much easier. The newest windows are at the bottom of the list.

Changing the naming attributes of o to ou

Hi ,
I need to change the naming attribute of 'o' to 'ou' so that whenever i create an organisation it will be referred to ou instead of o .Is there a way to do it?

I don't know how to do that, but it sounds awfully dangerous to be making a fundamental change like that. Why not just use the OrganizationalUnit objectclass instead? I took a quick look at the schema and they use the same attributes, except for "o" and "ou".

Change the field attribute of a field in data source - 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1

I have a data source named 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 in CRM system.
The fields PLANNED_TS_FROM and PLANNED_TS_TO are hidden fields i.e. the field attribute is 'A' - Field in OLTP and BW Hidden by SAP.
Following are my doubts:
1. Whether the values of these fields will be extracted into BW or it will not be?
2. How do I change the fields attribute value of these fields(its standard data source)?
3. Is there any SAP note to do this ?
4. If the above doesn't exisits, then should I go for a append structure to the standard data source?

Hi,
U can unhide ur fields in RSA6 and then replicate the datasource in BW. These fileds will come in BW.
You cant change the attribute value for STD DSO.
No SAP note for the same.
You can append the datasource with the new fields with the attribute you want and hide the std. fields then goto BW and replicate it. You can then map it with the BW fields as you want.

Can we change the View attribute of the Switcher through PERSONALISE PAGE? I want this switcher to display another column. This switcher that i want to change is a seeded one. I have extended a VO and added a new attribute. I want this Switcher to display this new attribute. How can I acheive this.

When I do exactly that I get a .XLS file that when you open it and click Save As comes up in Single Web Page mode. When I change the type I get a much smaller file. I am doing exactly what you describe, but with different results. Is it possible that this is configurable?

Here is the properties of the file. As you can see the size is 215kb This is actually a very small query for for demonstration purposes. I have queries that return 20k rows with 10 to 15 columns. This creates a spreadsheet that is over 20MB.

Here is the new properties. The file size has decreased to 57.5kb. In the cases where I had files that were 20MB or greater (and took aver 10 minutes to open up), this process reduced those files to about 200kb.

I'm trying to change the "groupType" attribute, of a user group object, from 'Distribution' to 'Security' (and the group scope is set to 'Global').
The CAD bit mask value needed would be: 0x80000002 (Decimal -2147483646).
How to change/modify the "groupType" attribute for this user group object?

I know this is probably a newbie questiopn but i spent some time trying and already browsed for the forum to look and found nothing related to it.
I m using apex 3.1, and i would like to know in what part of the item i define it's size, in the case of a select list where do i put it's size?

I misunderstood you the first time :)
It seems like APEX is automatically setting the SIZE attribute to 1 when you create a Select List. I'm not sure if you'll manage to change this value before the page is rendered. But if it is really important to you, maybe you can change this attribute after the page is rendered using javascript.
Add this function to the page header section:

function setLovSize(){
    var x=document.getElementById("PX_MY_SELECTLIST")
    x.size="18"
</script>Then on the same page, put the following code into Page HTML Body Attribute:

I need to send a workflow email to the manager giving him an option to approve/reject the ongoing process. Now i want to make it such a way that, manager is redirected to some page, where he will see two button, Approve and Reject. On click of any of them,
the status field in sharepoint list should change accordingly.

ICal changes the date in to do list

Hi,
I am hoping that someone can help me - it's not a big problem, but quite irritating. When I create an event in my iCal and then drag it to the to do list, after a while the to do list changes the date.
F e I have an exam on Saturday, i create the event in iCal, drag it to the to do list, and first its says "Saturday" but after a while, it changes to Friday. I delete the whole event, but it keeps on happening, and its pretty annoying.
My computer is not even 1 year old, but I'm having small issues like this already. My screen goes from grey to blue-ish once in a while too, but that's another story...
Hoping that someone can help me figure out what's going on...

Thanks for your reply John. I didn't get the notice that you replied until I searched again now for a solution. I figured out what cases the date change. When the iCal event that is typed into the calendar has a time that is later than the current TIME (which it always is by default because it rounds up to the next hour), and that event is then dragged into the To-Do list, the date is increased by one (as displayed when you double-click the event in the To-Do list. However, the day of the week and date listed in the ACTUAL To-Do list is correct until at least a day passes.
If I manually adjust the event from time rounding down to the nearest hour it always shows the correct date when double-clicking in the To-Do list.
This is quite confusing to explain but it is clear something is not working as it is supposed to if I can make it work by simply subtracting an hour to the event at the time I create it. Is there a fix for this or do I just need to manually set the time back for every event I create by an hour to get it to work correctly?

How do you change the font in WPC Link List Header ...

Does any one know how/where to change the font in Web Page Composer on the Link List Header? I am using the Link List header delivered with the product.
It looks like it is pulling arial font but we are adding content in a different font in the paragraphs and want the fonts to be the same. Is there something I can change in the theme?

You need to go to the
Content Adminstration/KM Content/etc/wpceditor/css/runtime and look in the sdn_general.css file. The controls are all there. You can rename or create a new style sheet as this will modify all WPC sites.

Ldif import change the userPassword attribute

I post a message here because i am facing an obstacle.
I made an migration from Sun directory server 6 on sun sparc server to an linux server with directory server 7.
I have got an issue about the ldif import.
When i export ldap data from my old server, i have got ldif-export.ldif file and when i import it i have no error :

But when i do an ldap search i can see that my new dsee server does not contain the same password than my old server for the users password attribute .
and this in spite of the ldif-export file contain exacly the same password than the old server in production.
I think when i do an import the new server change the pasword or something like this.
for example on my old server my user teo

cn: neo
uid: neo
objectClass: top
objectClass: neoDevice1
and on my new server i have got :
userPassword:: bmVv
cn: neo
uid: neo
objectClass: top
objectClass: neoDevice1
i took the precaution to change the server propertie with this command to be sure to respect the same config than the old server
./dsconf set-server-prop pwd-storage-scheme:CLEAR
I can't find where the issue is or what propertie to change for fix it.
Otherwise there is no other problem in my ldif import all seems to be correct except userPassword attibute.

as far as I understand, you would like to use the export/import mechanism to turn in clear all the passwords, is that correct?
Unfortunately I'm afraid that what you're asking is not possible...
If the userPassword attribute is "encrypted" in the original Directory Server instance database, then regardless of what you set in the 'encryption-scheme', in the export.ldif file you will still have the attribute encrypted.
The same thing happens when you try to import from an ldif file: regardless of what you have set in the 'encryption-scheme' in the Directory Server, if the attribute in the ldif file is 'encrypted', it will stay 'encrypted' also in the database.
The only way to have the userPassword attribute in clear is change the encryption-scheme and update the userPassword field of every entry.

Nav-attribute will also be see as a attribute in the system search for it and click on where used list of it.
Search for the Info object 0BATCH_0PLANT. double click on it -- click on the where used list of the nav-attribute.
It will display all the dependent objects where its used.
With this you can get the IC,DSO,MP names where this object is used. next with the help of those MP,IC and DSO you can get the list of queries.
