Channel Definition Error in Flex Remoting

Hi,
Any help would be Appreciated. I am using Flex 2.0 and
webborb 3.3 for flex remoting. I have created a flex project in
Flex Data services method. After creating the project it is
throwing an error
"Channel defintion, weborb.messaging.weborbMessagingChannel,
cannot be found". But When Try to do the above process using weborb
3.1. It is working fine.
Can anybody help me to solve this issue.

Ok, solved the problem. Found answer from here:

I installed LCDS Express and then added fds.swc to my project
from LCDS-folder.

    really its strange only the site works if my flash builder is running , please help

      Thanks all for your attention, i have solved my problem and i think its a bug in the flash builder , the problem was that when you compile the application and you enabling Network Monitoring , the communication of the AMF channels done throw the  http://localhost:37813/flex2gateway/
    and that was the problem if you close the flash builder on your system that getaway dose not exist and on the hosted server there is no such address localhost by this port also so the client application witch is catch in you system try to access your localhost and that cause a security error and the address is also not exist .
    so the solution or we have to compile the project after we disable the Network Monitoring in flash builder .

    Try throwing an exception in the remote method. For example,
    function inverse($x) {

  • Channel login error with HTTPS connection

    Hi!
    I have developed a Flex application which relies on remote object invocations to BlazeDS. I have applied custom authentication to the AMF channel, so login is required to invoke remote objects over the channel.
    Application worked perfectly in development environment but at production environment I cannot get channel sucessfully logged in. I have debugged application and no response is obtained from server after channel.login() invocation. Backend resides on Apache Tomcat that listens on port 80. Server is fronted by a Proxy Server that sets HTTPS protocol (https://domain:80/context is set at browser URL although I request http://domain:80/context).
    At development environment requests where made with HTTP protocol so I wonder if this issue is related with the HTTPS protocol present in the new server.
    Do I need to configure my channels to use secure (HTTPS) communications? Why am I not getting any error response from channel login operation?
    I reviewed server logs and It seems login AMF invocation are been tracked but I cannot get any response.
    Thank you in advance.

    Thank you Alex.
    I've set this configuration in services-config.xml. First I tried using SecureAMFEndpoint but then I got an exception on Server that said a secure destination was needed (as it was secured) but was not receiving a secured request. I saw a post in a forum that said AMFEndpoint must be used instead of SecureAMFEndpoint when SSL is applied to a proxy that redirects request to Tomcat, not to Tomcat itself, and this is my case.
    <services-config>
        <services>
            <service-include file-path="proxy-config.xml" />
            <default-channels>
               <channel ref="amf-channel"/>
            </default-channels>
        </services>
        <channels>
            <channel-definition id="amf-channel" class="mx.messaging.channels.SecureAMFChannel">
                <endpoint
                    uri="https://{server.name}:{server.port}/{context.root}/messagebroker/amf"
                    class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint" />

                </properties>
            </channel-definition>
    </services-config>
    After setting this, channel is succesfully logged in and a remote invocation that is executed inmediatly after channel loggin is completed works OK. But when later I call another remote objects, I get request timeout errors and server is not reached.
    Any idea of the issue?

    I cannot understand why this is occuring on our application. I have set all the properties correct.
    Is this because the channel is getting disconnected? If yes why is that happening so? Am I am missing some properties to set for the channel.

    So please let me know if am doing something wrong.
    Can anyone please help how to sort this out as we are nearing our Production release?
    Thanks

    I'd like to reply to Franck W's comment. Instead of moving BlazeDS to Apache we just made a new release of BlazeDS available on http://sourceforge.net/adobe/blazeds/wiki/Home/. There are dedicated forums for BlazeDS which are monitored by the Adobe team. Professional, enterprise support is provided for Data Services by Adobe. You can switch to Data Services anytime without code changes.

  • FYI: Extension Builder project w/ LCDS: channel-definition endpoint having context.root

    This is an FYI of an issue and its workaround.
    If developing a CS SDK Extension in Flash Builder / Extension Builder and the project is configured to use LCDS (LiveCycle DataServices), then if your services-config.xml contains Channel definitions having the variable {context.root} in the endpoint URL, then the following error will occur.  This will happen even if you are not using that Channel in your Destination channel list.
    The services-config.xml laid down when using LCDS integrated into ColdFusion has by default some channel definitions using context.root in the endpoint URLs.   This is how I encountered the issue.  On the other hand, the free developer edition of LCDS on Tomcat puts down a services-config.xml that does not have any reference to {context.root} in channel definitions, so the problem will not be encountered there.
    Since I was not using a context root (was using the default of just "/"), I commented out the offending channels in services-config.xml to resolve the issue.  One could also leave the (unused) channel definitions and then remove the {context.root} part from the endpoint.
    ERROR
    The services configuration includes a channel-definition 'java-amf' that has an endpoint with a context.root token but a context root has not been defined. Please specify a context-root compiler argument.
    CHANNEL DEFINITION
    <!--  Java Based Endpoints -->
            <channel-definition id="java-amf" class="mx.messaging.channels.AMFChannel">
                <endpoint uri="http://{server.name}:{server.port}{context.root}/flex2gateway/amf" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint"/>
            </channel-definition>

    Make sure your context root is defined in the project properties.  This is at "project/properties/Flex Server" from the menubar or package explorer context menu.  Alternately, you can hardcode your context root in the services-config.xml file/channel definition.

  • Flex Remoting

    when I am in development, my remoting calls have to go over flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint, but in production it has to go over flex.messaging.endpoints.SecureAMFEndpoint.
    My RemoteObject destination is "rubyamf," and my services-config.xml looks like this:
    <services>
         <service id="rubyamf-flashremoting-service" class="flex.messaging.services.RemotingService"
             messageTypes="flex.messaging.messages.RemotingMessage"
             >
             <destination id="rubyamf">
                  <channels>
                       <channel ref="channel-rubyamf" />
                       <channel ref="channel-rubyamf-secure" />
                  </channels>
                  <properties>
                       <source>*</source>
                  </properties>
             </destination>
        </service>
    </services>
    <channels>
       <!-- RUBY AMF -->
      <channel-definition id="channel-rubyamf" class="mx.messaging.channels.AMFChannel">
       <endpoint uri="/app/rubyamf/gateway" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.AMFEndpoint" />
       <properties>
       <polling-enabled>true</polling-enabled>
       </properties>
       </channel-definition>
       <!-- SECURE RUBY AMF -->
       <channel-definition id="channel-rubyamf-secure" class="mx.messaging.channels.SecureAMFChannel">
       <endpoint uri="/app/rubyamf/gateway" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.SecureAMFEndpoint" />
       </channel-definition>
    </channels>
    If I use this, will it work for my development and production environments? I don't like having to have to recompile the app each time I want to launch it for production.

  • Getting the error : ERROR:   FND FLEX-DSQL EXCEPTION  : An unexpected error

    Hi Gurus,
    I have setup one WebADI solution to upload the Direct Deposit information in the system and it is assigned to one responsibility called "US HR Payroll User", user is trying to upload the multiple accounts for one employee and getting the following error:
    ERROR: FND FLEX-DSQL EXCEPTION : An unexpected error has occurred. Please inform your system administrator that the error: &MSG occurred when the FND_FLEX_SERVER package tried to execute the SQL statement below. If tables or sequences do not exist this may indicate a problem with your installation. Make sure grants and synonyms exist so that all tables, views, and sequences in the SQL statement are visible from the database account in which the FND_FLEX_SERVER package resides (usually APPLSYS). If this is a select statement and the last portion of the where clause is in incorrect, then an invalid where clause may have been supplied in the flexfield definition. The error is probably either in the form, or in a server-side package that calls the flexfield validation routine. SQL statement (first 1000 bytes): &SQLST
    When I try to upload using my pc it works fine I have excel 2000 on my system. Then I tried on my friends computer who is having Excel 2003 and there also it gave the same error. So I thought Excel Version is a problem but when we try to upload the same data on some other instances it worked fine.
    Has anybody faced such kind of issue or can throw some lights as what other options I can try ?
    Thanks
    Rahul

    Hi ,
    Thanks for your help.
    Application Release : R12.1
    DB Version: 11g
    Browser: IE : 6.0.2900....
    I tried to take the TRACE but I am not able to generate the log/trace. I set the following profile as per the given note:
    BNE Server Log Filename --> MISPAY_DD_UPLD.log
    BNE Server Log Level --> TRACE
    BNE Server Log Path --> /u04/oraout_db/gsiau_rgts/gsi2au/trace
    but it does not generate any trace or log. Could you please help how we can get the trace.
    Thanks

  • Duplicate session error using Flash Remoting from Air 3.4 Mobile Apps ( IOS and Android ) with CF10

    We're getting the "duplicate session" error using Flash Remoting from Air 3.4 Mobile Apps ( IOS and Android ) with Coldfusion 10 Standard.
    faultCode:Server.Processing.DuplicateSessionDetected faultString:'Detected duplicate HTTP-based FlexSessions,
    generally due to the remote host disabling session cookies.
    Session cookies must be enabled to manage the client connection correctly.' faultDetail:'null'
    Have read most of the docs about this error -all to do with LCDS
    Notes:
    Not using LCDS,
    No Remote Calls from loaded Sub-Apps,
    No Errors from the Flex Web App which is pretty  much identical and calls the same cfcs.
    The error does not happen all the time and is hard to reproduce - say 5% of app sessions at a guess.
    Could it be a two first time remote calls hitting the server together before a session is set up?
    Our remoteObjects are in two places 1) Main Application.mxml and within a class compiled into the main app - can't see how this would be an issue.
    I enabled session management for the CFCs in Application.cfc but still occurs. Is this neccessary - it's not in any docs?
    Could this be something to do with the app not being shut down - as is typical with mobile users? When they resume use after a day or two surely a new session will be created?
    Please advise thank you.

    For our profect I think this issue was caused as follows:
    Believing that remoting was full asynchronous we fired a 2 or 3 remote calls to the server at the same time ( within the same function ) - usually when the users goes to a new section of the app.
    This seemed to trigger the duplicate http session error since according to http://blogs.adobe.com/lin/2011/05/duplication-session-error.html  two remote calls arriving before a session is created will cause 2 sessions to be created.
    Our current solution ( too early to say it works ) is to daisy chain the multiple calls together .
    Also there seemed to be an issue where mobile apps that never quit ( thanks Apple! )  caused the error when activated after a few hours.
    I guess the session expires on the server and the error above occurs on activation.
    So the mobile apps now ping the server with a remote call when activated after sleeping for more than one hour.
    All duplicate http errors are silently caught and reported.
    Fingers crossed we won't get any more!

  • Deployment Error Channel.Security.Error

    All,
    I'm receiving the below error when trying to deploy my FLEX 2
    page. Everything works fine when I run the page from within the
    Flex Builder, but as soon as I move the files to within my Virtual
    Directory and try to access the page through a web Broswer, it
    fails. I'm using a Wrapper created by the Flex Builder, and even
    created a crossdomain.xml file to access the WebServices. One thing
    to note, the WebServices are on a different machine than what I'm
    running the Flex page from.

    input would be appreciated.

    If the domain of the Flex2 app is different then the domain
    of the WebService app you can get this error. You'll need a
    crossdomain.xml file on the WebService domain's root folder giving
    your Flex2 app permission to make the call.

  • GoogleSearch WSDL and "Bad envelope tag:  definitions" Error

    Hi folks - I'm at my wits end with this. I'm dynamically accessing a WSDL, generating and compiling the stub code, loading it in via reflection, and trying to use it's methods.
    Now, it seems whatever I do I get a "Bad envelope tag: definitions" error when I invoke the remote method. This occurs whether I do the invocation through WSIF, Axis api, or just using reflection and only using Axis for the type mapping.
    Obviously this is a complex situation, but any help anyone can provide would be fantastic.

    Just to further embellish - its a SaxException, and the WSDL doc and web service I use to practice is the standard Google one. Thanks.

    >> Does anyone have any experience of intergration with Tririga or has come across this error before?
    Yes, I worked with TRIRIGA and its Business connect API.
    Question:
    Why do you use SOAP Axis adapter not SOAP Adapter? Is there any reason for it?
    This issue seems to be at your end not at TRIRIGA side.
    Suggestion: Please specify wsdl url properly in your SOAP receiver CC.  Also first import wsdl and test via XMLSPY or soapui client and see how that works. Then go for PI unit testing.
    Are u using runNamedQuery? or something?
    I would use PROXY to SOAP Synchronous for this.
    Just my few cents.
