Characters inside content="" code disappears on saving .css

If I open an existing css file with the code content=""; make some other changes and save the content it disappears.
My guess is that this is some kind of language/character/utf related setting?
I only have this problem in Dreamweaver CC, not in old versions of Dreamweaver.
Before:
.test {
content:="";
After save and reopen the file the line looks like:
.test {
content:="";

How can I save characters with ascii codes from 128 - 256 into the output file? If I use chr() function, characters are missing in the output file.

Some thoughts:
I assume you've counted the characters in the output and/or used a "hex" text editor so you KNOW these characters are not being written. Are they not written at all, or are blanks being substituted or are NULLs being substituted?
I couldn't find much documentation on htp.prn. Though, one place I found
htp.prn (cbuf IN VARCHAR2 CHARACTER SET ANY_CS DEFAULT NULL);Do you suppose it's affected by the character set used?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

I participated in the mountain lion free upgrade for new mac owners but the password is too long to unlock the content code. HELP!!!

What happened was that the password was 32 characters long and the field that they give you to use would not allow you to manually type those characters in (crazy huh?) but it took it when i copied and pasted it in!

Can't find content codes

I purchased Mountain Lion and got two emails one of them had a pdf attached but the other,the one with the content codes did not.I'm currently working with snow leopard and did not have the app store when I received the email,not sure if that matters.

To get the Mac App Store you need to install this update combo;

For Mt. Lion you are supposed to receive 2 emails; one has a locked pdf that has the redemption code for Mt. Lion secured inside and the 2nd one has the password to unlock the pdf.

FlipV and flipH on SWF causing sprite content to disappear.

I’ve got a vector drawing saved as an swf that
I’d like to be able to flip but using flipV or flipH causes
the swf content to disappear. This is true weather the sprite is
flipped on the fly through lingo or by simply clicking the flip
buttons in the property inspector. Note that the sprite itself
doesn’t disappear, the bounding box is still in the same
location and the content can be restored by unflipping. Anyone know
what’s up?

Rob, you say it worked for you? I just tried in D10.1 and it
did not work. I tried
with a Flash 8 SWF.
I reported a similar bug. If you have a SWF sprite and scale
it, then try rotate
it, the content disappears. However, if you rotate it first,
then scale it down,
it does show.
AppliedCD - I'd suggest you adjust the rotation rather than
the flipV and flipH,
and make sure you scale your SWF sprite before you apply the
rotation.

How to see Greek characters inside a PDF report (made with XML Publisher)

Hi,
I just patched my e Business Suite (ver. 11.5.9) in order to use XML Publisher 5.6.3.
It works fine, but I have a big problem when I want to see Greek characters inside my report; instead to see the Greek characters I see only '?????'
I tried to add some font under the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility following the Doc ID: 373377.1 "How To Install a Font Using XML Publisher Administrator", but my problem remains: I don't see my Greek characters
Do I need to add any other fonts on the file system ? and where ? (under which path), or I set something at the XML Publisher Administrator responsibility level (under the Administration link) ?
Any help will be appreciated, because it's very urgent to know how to fix this problem.

Please verify the value of $AF_CLASSPATH variable and make sure that JRE_TOP/lib/fonts is part of this env variable (in addition to $CLASSPATH).

Because I purchased my Macbook air after July 26, 2012 I qualify for the free Mountain lion update. However the content code that they e-mailed to me is coming invalid. Why? and what do I do now. i could buy it for 19.99 but kind of a ripto buy new and reicieve old OS FML.... someone help...

In at least some cases, the code in the body of the email unlocks an attached document which contains the actual redemption code. See if the email you received has an attachment, and if so open that and enter in the code from the email when requested.
If there was no attachment, contact Mac App Store Customer Service and let them know about the problem. They'll probably issue you a new code as they have for other people with the same issue.

Has anyone managed to successfully receive the content code in their email for a free ugprade to Mountain Lion?
I bought my MBP on 14 July so I qualified for the free upgrade. Went to the website and filled in the form along with my serial number about 2 nights ago. Still haven't received my content code yet. How long does it take? Should I be speaking to someone already? Who?

Sign into the App Store with your Apple ID. App Store should be in the Dock.

Assuming you are running OS X 10.6.6 or later (10.7.x Lion, 10.8.x Mountain Lion or 10.9.x Mavericks), go to the Apple Menu (top left-hand corner of the screen)>App Store and it should become clear from there.
