Chart Legend not appearing

Hello,
I have recently migrated my application from Flex 3.2 to Flex 4.5. I am using few charts in my application. I have noticed a strange problem when I executed my application with Flex 4.5. The legend of my piechart is not visible. The text is visible but the colors beside the text is invisible. The application runs fine in Flex 3. Can someone help me in this respect.

Sure thing. You can bind it to the yField, like this:
<mx:ColumnSeries id="cs1" yField="account"
displayName="{cs1.yField.toString()}"
>
You'll get a warning, because binding to that value wont
detect changes, but it will work. Similarly, you could bind it to
any variable, maybe one that is bindable.

Crystal Reports - Charts do not appear on reports in some cases

We have a few reports that include charts on them (created with Crystal 2008 Designer). These reports have run fine for quite a while but this morning we got a support call with a client reporting that though the reports process and appear correctly, the charts do not appear - instead the client can see a box where the charts should be - but no charts appear.
Wait... This has a curve ball...
The same client then ran our application on the SAME machine, but in a VM (virtual machine) on that machine, and now, the charts appear!
I can understand that if a machine is low on memory, charts might not appear - but then why when a VM is used on the same machine do charts suddenly appear?
Is there any way, any suggestion someone can offer by which I can 'trap' this situation in code, PRIOR to producing a report that is going to have a big blank spot where a chart normally appears?

Nope... Not video corruption... We finally figured it out...
Its the 12_0 runtime. Run it, and you dont see any charts, no errors, no warnings, just no charts - update to the 12_1 runtime and voila, charts are suddenly present.
Just to be sure we were not going nuts we uninstalled, reinstalled the 12_0 and no charts again - put in the 12_1 runtime and there they are again.
Problem solved.

Flash chart does not appear on the PC of a user

Hi,
I have an application which is working nicely. But suddenly, one user cannot see the flash charts on his PC. On my PC it works well, I can see the charts. I don't know why on his PC the flash chart do not appear. She is using IE 6.
The application is using APEX Anychart 5.12.
How to check if Flash is working well on his PC ?

Legend not appearing for Chart Type columns/bars in business graphics

Hi Experts,
I'm not able to make the legend appear in web dynpro screen.As such graphs is coming but the legends are not appearing at runtime. When i customize the graph using t-code 'BS_ANLY_CD' or right-click on business graphics, the legends are appearing in customizing preview but not in runtime.
Could anybody help me out in this issue?

You just need to add the label description for both the series then the legend will automatically come as shown below.

The template I am using is the copy of 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN .
Anway I have found the answer.
The scenario is more related to Multiquery .
Your main template which is copy of 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN contains additional Analysis and Chart Web items . In order to include Multi-Query or Single Query additional analysis and chart web items in the print output with desired output they must have the very same name as the analysis and chart web items defined in the 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN_EXPORT template.

Xcelsius - Embedded 'Jpg' logo not visible, Pie chart Legends not visible

   I am new to xcelsius. could you please help.
   I have two issues.
1. I incorporated Logo (JPG FILE) and selected options Embed file, resize image to component, but image is not visible when I preview. Why? What needs to be done to make logo visible in preview(swf file). I did not export yet to Infoview though.
2. Legend values are cropped. I have 35 legends that are to be listed for pie chart. I can see only 31 and remaining four not visible (two from beginning, 2 at the end). I reduced font to lowest visible value i.e. 8 and increased height max possible that looks good . How to make them visible? or make them to fit to chart. Is there any option? Legend values are towards right of chart.

Hi,
   Are you using Image Component to insert your JPEG, if not try that. It will work as expected.
   As for your pie chart legends, it will work as long as your Pie Chart is large enough to fit all regions onto the screen.
   Try a simple test just to prove that concept.
      - Create 2 columns in Excel
      - Make Column A your Region Column. Insert up to 35 records
      - Make Column B you Data column. Also insert up to 35 records.
      - Now map your data into the Pie Chart and make sure you reduce the fonts of the region to "8" (Smallest it can go)
      - Preview it.

Flash Chart Legend Not In Capitals

I have created a flash chart based upon a function returning sql. The chart displays fine but the legend column names for some reason are converted to initial capitals from all originally being in capitals, eg "SERIES" now equals "Series". I really need the legend to display all capitals as it is in the sql.
For example:
The function returns a string similar to this .......
select NULL as "LINK",
WEEK as "LABEL",
VALUE1 as "VALUE1,
VALUE2 as "VALUE2"
from MY_TABLE
order by WEEK
When the flash chart is rendered on the page the legend displays the two series values as "Value1" and "Value2". Somehow the chart ignores the capital case of the column names and applies initial capitals only over riding the original case.
There appears to be no over ride for the legend case so where is it coming from ? It shouldn't make any difference but the chart type is a "3D column" style. Not sure if this is a XML question or maybe a Flash Player issue.

I had the same problem.
To fix it:
1. Find a font that is strictly caps. I used Felix Titling.
2. Edit the flash chart & under the chart attributes set USe Custom XML to yes.
3. Scroll down almost to the bottom and find the legend tag.
4. In the font tag for the legend substitute the font you chose.
This will capitalize ALL the letters in the legend.
I don't know how to selectively capitalize letters.

Pie Chart Legend not displaying full names

In a RTF template, we have displayed a PIE chart. In the PIE chart, when the number of legends are more, the legends are getting truncated on the generated PDF report. as far as i know only way to display legname in full when u have more values is to make the size of the chart large . i have one the req like that i made it large enough so that it will withstand if i get more values .
it may not be good idea but this is the way i did .

You used the data. Verizon can not see what it was sued for. However your phone can see whats apps used the data. go to settings-data usage- there will be a place that says data usage cycle. line the dates up with your cycle. then there will be a bar graph below that extend bother white bars one all the way to the left and one all the way to the right. after those are extended below that will be a list of apps, there should be one that used over 2 gb and that will show you what app used that data in her purse

Charts not appearing properly after upgrade

I have just upgraded from 10g to 11g, i see that all my charts are not displayed as they are in 10g. Like legend names are not appearing, for some charts the whole view is gone, for line bar graps bars are gone like this there are lots of issues in almost all the charts.
What could be the issue, do i have to manually go and correct all of them?
Any help would be apprecialted

Is there a way to display the legend for a chart, but not the chart?

I have a stacked column chart and a line chart on top of each other. I can't use the legend for the stacked column chart because the data will change from month to month, and the 2 charts will not be aligned. I copied the stacked column chart to another part of the canvas and want to display only the legend, but the chart is still displaying. Is there a way to prevent the chart from displaying? Thanks.

we can show only the legend in a pie chart by dragging the edges to closer.do the following,
select the pie chart,select the edge of the chart and make it small and u ll find the pie chart shrinking.make it lean such that the pie chart disappear.
try this work around and let me know.

I have added print tag in xml of chart mode-multiple pages.

Did you ever find a reason as to why the bars were not printing? I'm experiencing the same problem with Apex 4.1.1. Only the first part prints. Here is the print tag:
<print mode="MultiPage" print_all_columns="true" columns_on_every_page="2" fit_timescale_to_end_of_page="false">
I've changed some of these settings to no avail.

Active activities do not appear in workload chart

Actually i´m facing a problem:
I don´t know why active activities assigned to a parametric role do not appear in the workload chart in workspace. All other activities appear but this ones not.
Have someone had the same problem ?

we made a change which is why the other service principals were exposed in the UI briefly we rolled that back earlier in the week but this should not have removed your custom applications from the view.
If you select the drop down box do you get a different filter;view? does that show your applications?
