Checkout: Auto Populate Billing from Shipping ?

Hi,  I'm trying to cobble together a auto populate billing from shipping or vice versa,  and I've gotten this far with JS and added it to the register buy form, but it is supposed to go into the header, for which, in the module template, there is no access.  I'm sure I have some of it wrong, because I grabbed it from another site. Anyway, when I check the box for same as,  nothing happens.  I 'm wondering  if the script needs to be placed elsewhere and/or if the variables I am using are incorrect for BC ?
<script type="text/javascript">
<!--
function shipsame(form){
if(form.sameasbilling.checked){
form.ShippingAddress = form.BillingAddress;
form.ShippingCity = form.BillingCity;
form.ShippingState = form.BillingState;
form.ShippingCountry = form.BillingCountry;
form.ShippingZip = form.BillingZip;
else{
form.BillingAddress= "";
form.ShippingCity = "";
form.ShippingState = "";
form.ShippingCountry = "";
form.ShippingZip = "";
//-->
</script>
<div class="shop-checkout shop-form">
<h1 class="heading colr">Check Out</h1>
<p>&bull; Required</p>
<form id="catwebformform42059" name="catwebformform42059" onsubmit="return checkWholeForm42059(this)" action="/FormProcessv2.aspx?WebFormID=10850&amp;OID={module_oid}&amp;OTYPE={module_otype} &amp;EID={module_eid}&amp;CID={module_cid}" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
    <div class="form">
    <div class="item">
...SNIP....
   <label> Same as Shipping <input type="checkbox" name="sameasbilling" value="checkbox" onclick="shipsame(this.form);" />
    <div class="item">  <br />
    <label>
    Billing Address</label>
    <input class="cat_textbox" id="BillingAddress" type="text" maxlength="500" name="BillingAddress" />
    </div>
TIA,
Jeff

A button would only work once. So if the user went back and changed the billing address the change would not be reflected in the shipping address.
With a check box one can use a calculation script in the shipping address to check if the billing address should be copied over.

  • Auto populate forms from a database

    I'm new to LiveCycle and was wondering if there is a way to auto populate a form created in LiveCycle. Essentially, I have an Excel spreadsheet with a thousand or so entries. I'm looking to create a sort of cover page from all this data for each individual entry featuring name, address, etc. I can convert the spreadsheet to an XML file, but after that I get lost. Is there a way to set up a form so that it can autocomplete all of the fields using an XML file or is this something that I need to do manually?

    LiveCycle Forms is designed to accept a form template and an XML datastream and merge them together to provide a populated PDF that is interactive.  For a non-interactive version of the template LiveCycle Output would be utilized.  There are a number of methods to interact with LiveCycle but it sounds like the easiest method for you would be to use a watched folder where you would simply copy your XML files and LiveCycle will read the file and produce the PDF files.  To start use Workbench and create a process that uses the RenderPDFForm operation.  You might want to start with these http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/videotraining.html

  • How to auto populate data from one list in SharePoint 2007 into another list based on a key value?

    Hi,
    As a part of new requirement in my project I am supposd to work on SharePoint 2007. I have one List (BCExtract - Main list) with all data related to an Application (like ID, name, app manager RTO etc).
    I have created another list which has form to be filled by a user (with details about his/her applications). My requirement is that when the user enters AIT ID then the page should refresh (probably after hitting enter) and other details like Application
    name, RTO etc which is present in another list gets auto populated depending on the AIT ID (unique column) entered so reduce the burden on the user.
    Please suggest me how this can be done. I do not have permission for obtaining SharePoint Designer and I do not know JQuery. Infopath is ok but if this can be done through SharePoint 2007 alone then it would be great.
    Thanks....

    Hello,
    You can either use jquery/jaavscript or infopath form to achieve this. There is no default way to do this.
    I would suggest jquery because you can put script in newform/editfor.aspx page using content editor webpart. Refer this link for jquery:
    To get value from list:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ac47fe2a-ccb6-4f5b-b274-703aecc6cb0a/get-list-items-in-sharepoint-2010-by-using-jquery

    To set value in column:

    If you use infopath form, then you need to create two data connection to get data from both lists. Later you can set value in fields based on selection using rule. This can be possible without code.
    Hope it could help

  • Auto-populate address from a name

    I have created an interactive fillable form in Adobe Acrobat X.  I would ideally like to be able to begin typing a person's name, have the form recognize this person's name, and autopopulate their contact information (phone number, address, etc.)
    I assume I will need to create some sort of data file for the PDF to pull from.  I have changed the preferences to allow Auto-Complete at the "basic" level, but this still requires me to at least know the first part of the address or phone number to auto-complete one field at a time.
    Can you please explain how to create a data file and/or how to autopopulate the information?
    I appreciate your time and assistance!

    I think I am also looking for a solution like yours.
    I have a drop down menu identifying a manager's name. At the bottom of the form I have a text box I'd like to automatically fill in the managers email address corresponding to the selected manager in the first field.
    Box1= Job tittle, manager's name
    Box10=Box1 manager's email address.
    Currently using:
    Adobe X Pro
    MacBook Pro 17" Unibody (2012)
    Any suggestions would be great. Hopefully I can also use the same method to automatically change the Submit button "mailto" the proper manager selected if possible. but that's probably another discussion.
    Thank you in advance to all!

  • How to create Infopath form that auto populate data from one list to be fill by another user?

    hi.  I would like to ask, how to create form that fill by User A, for example, and then the User A assigned task to User B to complete the form. Next, the form will be approved by approver. May I know how to do
    that? and if possible, I do not want to use any programming code.
    Azuaniza Ariffin

    Hi,
    If your SharePoint environment supports InfoPath Forms, then you can customize the form and add rules to make the list items as read only when user A submits the form.
    you can then write a form load event to check the logged in user using username() function. This logic can be implemented in variety of ways, like setting a flag when User A submits the form, or storing user A username in a form variable etc., else comparing
    User A and User B values within form Load event.
    Another way of doing this is using Views or grouping all of the User A fields within a section etc.,
    The above would take care of Form logic, and for the workflow, you can use SharePoint designer to create a custom workflow, where it will run on onItemCreate and onItemChange events.
    The logic for workflow would be if the form Submitted for the first time, the workflow will start and send an email to User B, and when User B submits the Data then onItemChange change event will start the workflow to send an email to approver to approve
    the data.

  • Can we auto populate the bill to address in an SR from the bill to from AR

    We have two customers that have a relationship setup in AR. We the ship the parts to one customer and bill the second customer. When we create a service request, can we have the second customers address automatically populate into the bill to address. We have a party relationship setup so we can select the bill to address from the LOV, but the user doesn't always know which bill to address they should be selecting, so it would be nice if we could get the correct one to auto populate.

    There are three options to do this (ofcourse none are standard).
    Source can be item instance or customer master itself.
    1. Maintain the relationship in the item instance (serial number) if you are using customer products to create service requests. If you have that bill to in the csi_ip_accounts, and when the instance is used for the service request creation, you can default that in the service request using custom.pll or personlization. This should be easy.
    2. Or using the same approach, you can go HZ tables to get the bill_to of that ship_to.
    3. If you are using SR workflow, plugin one node which updates this in the SR.
    Thanks

  • Bill to party should be pulled from ship to party.

    Hi
    I have scenario in which I want to pull bill to party from ship to party and not from sold to party in sales order. Business requirement have one sold to party say A . This sold to party has 4 ship to party say B,C,D,E.  Every ship to party has one Bill to party respectively say L,M,N,O.  This scenario is only for one customer and not for all. When ship to is entered in the sales order it should give options to select the bill to party .
    I want to know the config steps alongwith the name of the user exit (if it is required for)
    Thanks in advance.
    James.

    Before answering this question, I would like to thank Lakshmipathi for his compliment and James for this interesting scenario.
    Lets say your new ship to parties are 90 & 91.
    Lets say your new bill to parties are 110 & 111.
    So your new requirement is when you enter ship to party 90 or 91, bill to party 110 or 111 has to be determined from sold to party.
    Am I correct? That's how I understood your question(If this is not you are not looking for, please advise).
    In case yes, you  could do the following.
    In your sold to party record, partners Tab, enter the details of your new ship to parties and bill to parties.
    In sales order, enter ship to party and system would pop a box listing bill to parties. You can select one of the bill to parties.
    Once selected, system would populate sold to party record field.
    This is happening because when you enter ship to party record in sales order, system accesses sold to party from ship to party. Once it accesses sold to party, it lists bill to parties available in this sold to party record.

  • Seeking Pdf form help - javascript formula to auto-populate fields based on data from other fields.

    Hi there, I am new to PDF form work, and am wondering if someone could help me with a javascript formula.
    I want to auto-populate the EXPIRYDATE field, as the same date as the entered AUTHORIZATIONDATE field, but 4 years later.
    So, I want to be able to enter 11/14/2014 in the AUTHORIZATIONDATE date, and have 11/14/2018 auto populate in the EXPIRYDATE field.
    Seems simple I know, but I've messed around quite a bit and can't seem to make it work. Is this possible??
    Any help would be very much appreciated!!

    And what have you done?
    This can only be done with custom JavaScript programing.
    The value of date type fields are text field and not numeric data. The first task is to convert the dates to a number on some type of number sequence that is a mapping to dates.
    Have you looked at the Acrobat JavaScript API Reference, the MDN JavaScript reference?
    I would use the Acrobat JavaScript util.scand to covert the date string to the number of milliseconds from January 1, 1970 midnight. and then use the getFullYear method of the date object for the year value and add 4 years to that value and then use the setFullYear method to set the year for the date object. Now you can use the util.printd method to format the date object as a date string with a specific format.
    // get the date value, format of date string and years to add;
    var cDate = "11/14/2014"; // date value;
    var cFormat = "mm/dd/yyyy"; // date format;
    var nYears = 4; // years to add;
    // convert date string to date object;
    var oDate = util.scand(cFormat, cDate);
    if(oDate == null) {
    app.alert("Error converting " + cDate + " using format " + cFormat, 0, 1);
    // add years to date object;
    oDate.setFullYear(oDate.getFullYear() + nYears);
    // display result;
    var cExpireyDate = util.printd(cFormat, oDate);
    app.alert("Authorization Date: " + cDate + "." +
    "\nExpire Date: " + cExpireyDate, 3, 0);

  • Auto populate "Territory" when creating opportunity from the Account screen

    Hello there!
    I need to know if it is possible to get On Demand to auto populate the "Territory" field when we are creating an opportunity (or contact for that matter) from the Account Screen.
    The Account is already created, so we know what the Territory is....but when we currently go to create an opportunity from either the account screen or the contact screen we have to pick the territory again from the picklist. This is very inefficient.
    If we can, can you please explain the process of doing so?
    Thanks in advance!!!

  • Create BP Bill To & Ship To from UDF

    Hi All,
    I have a situation whereby the BP Address is requried to be entered into a set of UDFs and I now want to copy that data to create the Bill To & Ship To.
    Can anyone suggest how I could do this without resorting to the SDK?
    Looking forward to your comments.
    Regards
    Earl

    Hi Earl
    The FMS is a trigger based event, and at the time of adding, you are correct that the Bill To is on top and therefore will be active and get the triggered FMS update. The displayed address lines on the BP Master Address TAB are also common to both the Bill To and Ship To addresses. If you look at the CRD1 table you will see that the only difference is the B or S in AdresType. So as there are no unique fields on this TAB for Bill To and Ship To, the FMS will only work for the one. If you trigger it on the Ship To, this will just get the same results as the Bill To, effectively duplicate info.
    For this reason your FMS will not work and you will have to look at SDK development to achieve this.
    Kind regards

  • New Z-table to auto-populate description based on the key field entered

    Hi Gurus,
    I have to created a z-table, there are several fields however I am interested in only two
    1) VSTEL and 2) PADEST for shipping point and the printer name. Also there are two other fields I have added to the table that are the descriptions for VSTEL and PADEST. Now the requirement is that when the user enteres a value in table maintenance ( sm30)
    for say VSTEL, then its description should auto populate or propose the right values. Same should happen for the PADEST and its description field.
    Thanks.

    Goto the Table maintenance generator of the Table.
    On this screen.
    Environment -
    > Modification -
    > Events
    Create New entry in the table with T = 05 and Z <any name>
    Save it.
    An editor button appears next to the from name.
    Click on it and create an include.
    Write your code in this include...
    select vstel
           padest
           from table XXXX into table I_XXXX
           where vstel = (Z_VSTEL)User enterd VSTEL in module pool.
    If sy-subrc = 0.
          loop at I_XX into wa_xxx.
              if wa_xxx-vstel = Z_vstel.
                z_padest(Desc field in Tab maint) = wa_XXX-PADEST.
              endif.
          endloop.
    endif.
    The same logic can be used to get the desc for VSTEL and PDEST.
    You can change this in many ways based on performance.
    The above code is just to give an idea...

  • Is there a way to auto-populate text based on a selection?

    I honestly don't even know how to word my question haha... so the title may be misleading...
    For my job I need to fill out indesign files, and at one part of the file based on the state a person is from I need to paste a specific e-mail in several places.
    Is there a way where maybe I create a dropdown menu of the several state e-mails I can choose from, and upon choosing it auto-populates that choice into the several other places?
    I guess, is there a way where if I make a select or input text into one area it will generate in the other areas as well?

    Maybe you need some kind of clipboard manager to choose several texts to paste

  • How do I auto populate a text box if a check box is ticked in Acrobat XI Pro?

    Basically, i have been asked to create a catalogue of sorts for my organisation with a form at the end that will be completed by the end user. it will be a catalogue of books and toys that people can request to borrow from us. Its all specialist equipment that we loan out for disabled people. When they are scrolling through the catalogue i would like there to be a check box and if they would like to borrow that item they would tick that box and any other products that they would like to borrow. Is it possible to have a text box that auto populates with a list of the items they have selected. the form would be similar to the one below. it the box next to Products to borrow i would like it to add products as they tick the boxes in the preceeding pages. I would be happy to share an example document if needed. thanks in advance for any help.
    Name
    Address
    Products to borrow

    Thank you for your willingness to help.
    The problem with a drop down is that it would not present all options when printed, and some of our users will be completing this form manually (printed). All options need to be displayed.
    Here's an example:
    SELECT PREFIX:
    A12
    B12
    C12
    They can check one of the above and then based on what they select, I want the next box (a text field) to pre-fill with their selection.
    So if they select A12, the text box would automatically fill with A12.

  • Auto-populate fields in Custom Object Based on Another Record

    Hello,
    I am hoping to auto-populate a few default values in a new Custom Object record based on an associated Lead record. The layout is this:
    I use the Lead record to take care of most of the information in the sales stages until the product is sold. The Lead record has fields to record information for a one product sale. The sales person can then use the Custom Object (called 'GX Additional Product') (which shows up in the Related Information section of the Lead record) to add additional items to a sales order request. Many of the fields in the GX Additional Product (custom object) record are identical to fields already filled out in the Lead record.
    What I would like to do, is when a new GX Additional Product (custom object) is added to the Lead record, those identical fields already filled out in the Lead record, by default, populate the corresponding fields in the new GX Additional Product (custom object) record.
    Is this possible? Is this something that can be done with JoinFieldValues? If so, I've had a bit of confusion trying to set up a JoinFieldValues expression.
    If you have any information to share that would be helpful, that would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!

    Hi,
    You can use JoinFieldValue to Custom Objects from other entities, cause you will have other objects' ID recorded inside the CO's, when you open a new detail record associated with the parent. Make sure your custom object is showing as a detail section (N:1) into lead´s main page. Try with one field first, using the exact syntax provided at samples listed at product documentation.

  • Auto-populate of SHELL_shellName_shell Upper form DE only functions in one single-instance project shell.  The DE in the BP Upper Form needs to auto-populate in two separate single-instance shells.  How can I get this DE to autopopulate in both?

      The Unifier environment
    contains two single-instance project shells, INF and PBS, and two multiple-instance child project shells, INFS and
    PB.    There is a single instance, non-workflow
    business process, ‘Project Information’ that contains a data element in the
    upper form definition, Project ID.  The Project ID is set to auto-populate from the multi-instance “INFS”
    project shell attribute, which is populated manually.
    Issue:  The auto-populate functionality for the
    Project ID ‘Shell_shellName_shell’ data element within the single-instance
    Project Information BP only functions within one of the shells, either
    INFS or PB, but not both.  The INF and INFS shells are currently deployed
    to production, PB and PBS shell are not.
    It is critical that Project ID ‘Shell_shellname_shell’ data element is populated correctly in the
    Project Information upper form of both shells, INFS and PB,
    because that data element is referenced by multiple business processes and
    integrations.
    The attribute form definitions for both single and multiple instance project shells are identical.  The Project ID utilizes the same data
    element ‘SHELL_shellName_shell’ as is defined in both shell attribute forms
    (INFS and PB).
    The data definition source is a Unifier system-level variable, SYS Shell
    Name (String, 128, Text Box)
    Potential Solutions:
    1. Create a Project ID DE of another data type which can
    be successfully auto-populated from either shell.  Drawback: all BPs and integrations which
    reference Shell_Shellname_shell will need to be rewritten.
    2. Investigate converting the Project Information single-instance
    to a  multi-instance BP, and create a
    separate instance for each single-instance shell type.  Same Drawback as Option #1, but with additional
    rework.  Most likely Project Information
    would have to be recreated as a new BP.
    Not sure that this option would even work.
    3. Create a separate Project Information BP for PB.  Drawback:  Two separate BPs for Project Information would
    need to be created.  All existing BPs
    refer to Project Information, so this option could potentially invalidate the
    ability to use the existing BPs in the PB shell.

    Was it really necessary to post the whole API description?!?
    Locale[] locales = Locale.ENGLISH();ENGLISH is not a method in class Locale, so do not add the braces "( );".
    Also, the constant ENGLISH is not an array, but just a single Locale object.
    You didn't say what your problem was. What do you want to achieve with your program and what is it that you don't understand?
