"CHECKSTOP" LED#7 - Hopeful Happy Ending

POWER MAC G5 (LATE 2005) - 2GHz
I had this light come on a few months ago and brought the machine in for repair. Unfortunately they could not get it to hang so it was returned after an OS reinstall with the warning that my RAM could be the issue (2, 1GB Corsair Value sticks). Side note: ProCare was awesome here, as I had my machine back next-day.
Quiet for a few months...
Last weekend it hung again, and continued hanging. I pulled the RAM, leaving only the Apple 512MB. It still hung. Tried to get into AHT but it hung there as well. So I couldn't even boot off the HD.
Dropped off the machine last Monday to the Apple Store, Valley Fair (Santa Clara, CA). The genuises there are totally swamped as it's an insanely busy mall, but still managed to be calm and courteous. The long-haired guy who registered my box seemed pretty cool.
Anyway, they estimated 3-5 days and a full internal swap (logic board, CPU, power supply which is a whopping 750w). I spoke with them just now. The machine is "on the bench" and they've been able to reproduce the crashes so they're testing to figure out whether it's RAM, CPU, or logic board.
"Hmm... another day or so."
But they were nice on the phone and I'm happy they were able to reproduce it!
I know some people have had LED7 difficulty with many iterations with hardware repair so I'm posting this as another story. I'll follow up when I get the machine back or when I know more.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Hi! Just remember that bad ram can write bad data to a drive resulting in a bad system. The other day I was installing Win 2000 on a machine and I knew the cd was good but I kep getting a failure to install. When I pulled the ram the OS installed fine and it's been fine since. Tom

  • Sh led also on low end routers

    Hello all,
    If I remember correctly it was possible to lit up led's on a GSR router...(12k) through the cli remotely....
    Here comes perhaps a strange or odd request for lower end type of routers (and possible also switches)
    Would it be possible to have a command in the Cisco IOS, to light up any light emitting diode’s in a certain fashion? So field engineers know for sure they are hitting the right spot when they are looking for equipment in particular area’s?
    Cheers

    Hi,
    Yes you are right  Show led is used to display the current status of all line card Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs), use the show led EXEC command.  show led [slot-number] but this command was introduced in realease 11.2(09)GSbut in small end routers you can usethe following commands to display and verify the hardware features, enter the following commands:
    •show version—Displays the system hardware version; the installed software version; the names and sources of configuration files; the boot images; and the amount of installed DRAM, NVRAM, and flash memory.
    •show diag—Lists and displays diagnostic information about the installed controllers, interface processors, and port adapters; typical examples are network modules, interface cards (VICs, WICs, HWICs), and advanced integration modules (AIMs).
    Hope to help

  • Zen Micro Not Recognized - Happy End

    My Zen Micro is working!!!
    I've just promised my first born to a wonderful man called Noel (how much more appropriate could his name be?) in Dublin. He's one of the technicians from Creative, who finally, finally, finally, discovered how to solve my problem. I spent three days trying everything I (and other computer savvy people) could think of. And, I spoke to two other technicians at Creative before being put through to him. Neither of the other two managed to give me the right advice.
    It was quite simple in the end: no one knows why the player didn't get recognized to start with, but thereafter, because it had, by then, been plugged into the PC, the installation (I'd uninstalled it and re-installed it) couldn't be completed successfully. The device needed to be removed from the list in My Computer and then the driver had to be extracted manually from the installation disk. The trick was knowing exactly what to do and *which* driver to extract. This man Noel is a genius. He's the only one who knew what to do. No "Well, we could try this; we could try that...". He just knew.
    If you're having problems with your player, call Creative in Dublin and ask for Noel. :smileyvery-happy:Message Edited by Bela on 2-20-2004 08:05 PM

    Jess,
    The PlayForSure firmware is intended to work with Windows XP platform. If you're going to work with other OS, I would suggest you to reload the firmware to the other firmware version .xx.xx. You can find this firmware from the download page too. Note that you need to perform this update process on your XP computer.

  • CD Burn Error"4280" -- My Story and Happy Ending

    First--a little background: Today I realized that it was two weeks since I backed up my iTunes folder. I'm planning to install a new (larger) secondary hard disk because I need more storage space. Since I need to get all files off my current backup drive, I didn't want to copy my iTunes folder to this drive. I decided to burn a backup DVD. My iTunes folder is too large to fit on one DVD so I knew I had to break things up. Trying to use the backup feature in iTunes proved frustrating so I resorted to my Roxio Easy Media Creator (ver. 9.0) program. Well this attempt wasn't going well either, but at least I was seeing some progress. I was annoyed that I had to copy each folder individually. This was very time consuming! But, I dutifully kept copying files/folders and placing them on the burn list for Roxio. All of a sudden I got a strange message box telling me to hold while my files WERE BEING MOVED! I admit--I panicked. I didn't want my files moved--I wanted them copied. So I quickly hit the cancel button and then my computer froze. After several control/alt/deletes I was able to restart my computer.
    I timidly tried to open iTunes and to my horror I discovered a blank canvas! I immediately went to my iTunes folder to see what was still there. Fortunately my Music folder was still present and from a quick glance it seemed to be intact. Now I just needed to re-establish my library. The library file in my iTunes folder was blank. I needed my old one back. I did an iTunes knowledge base search and found out how to import a backup library file and within seconds I had my old iTunes up and running! WOW! This part worked great and I am very thankful; believe me, that it was so easy to reestablish my library.
    Okay--I learned my lesson. If you buy new music or make major iTunes library changes BACK UP immediately. (I found room on an auxiliary hard drive and backed everything up again--forget the DVD option!)
    Then I decided to burn CDs of all my recent iTunes store purchases so I would have a hard copy if something REALLY bad happened. That's when the trouble began....
    I would try to burn a recently purchased album to CD and everything would appear to be working correctly, then a few seconds into the burning of the first song I would get a stop error and the infamous "4280" code.
    I did a search of this error and tried a few of the remedies, but nothing worked. Finally, I decided to try to burn a CD in Roxio to see if another program could burn successfully. Well the Roxio attempt failed too, but the Roxio error message was much more helpful. It told me that the song list I was trying to burn could not be loaded into the buffer fast enough for a successful burn. This seemed very odd. I have a very fast machine and lots of memory. Something had to be jamming the works. So, I'm guessing that the aborted backup DVD I was trying to create was still somehow in the burn pipeline and I needed to flush this obstacle out.
    Since two burning operations didn't work and I had no idea how to flush the buffer on my burner drive, I decided to just uninstall my DVD burner and reinstall it hoping that the problem would get fixed.
    Once I successfully reinstalled my DVD burner, I again tried to burn a CD in iTunes. This time the project went a bit further and then I got a "4700" stop error. GRRRRR. (I still haven’t figured out what this error means—it’s very difficult to search the Apple “article” base.)
    Well, I still thought Roxio was to blame for my problems, so I went back to Roxio and tried to burn a CD. After the DVD burner reinstallation, something got reset and I was successful! Now, I knew something was working right again.
    Then, I went back to iTunes, tried a new playlist, crossed my fingers, and pushed the burn button again. This time everything worked just as it always has!!!! I have burnt several CDs--my goal is to get all my purchased music on a CD--and I haven't experienced any other errors.
    My CONCLUSIONS:
    1. Roxio somehow jammed up the CD burning protocol on my machine. By uninstalling/reinstalling the burner drive and then successfully burning a CD in Roxio the jam was eliminated.
    2. The playlist I tried to use to burn my unsuccessful CD in iTunes somehow had “fatal errors” attached to it from this "jam" problem. By deleting this problem list and creating a new (identical) one I was able to start fresh.
    Anyway this is a very long missive, I apologize. Maybe others who are experiencing similar burning problems can find some similarities in our stories and finally resolve the problem!

    well done, samdogmom!
    at this stage the only issue i'm aware of (in the Apple KB) associated with Easy Media Creator 9.0 is discussed here:
    iTunes: Backup DVDs from my Mac don't work on my Windows PC
    ... not exactly your symptoms, but if you continue to have trouble with Roxio, it might be worth checking on the Drag-to-Disc components.

  • 2.8ghz late 2008 macbook pro with 8gb  and a happy ending but...

    This machine was bought on June 2009. A week after the mid 2009 were released. It was a refurbished unit which might explain it.
    Ok let's get started. I am using 1x4gb crucial module & 1x4gb owc module. Why mixing brands? Well by the time I decided to go from 4gb to 6gb, I found on Amazon the 4gb Crucial module for $190 while at Owc it was at $249. 6gb was a good combination for me and my needs. However, it didn't stop me from trying 8gb even knowing that my computer wasn't capable of using them. What was next? Yeah to buy another 4gb module This time I went for something cheaper (Owc's $179) since I wasn't sure if that was going to work.
    Ok enough of that and back to topic. 8gb works fine in the 32 and 64 bit kernels. I tested the 32 bit kernel for almost 12 hours with absolutely no problems. I was able to use 7.99gb flawlessly with the cpus fully stressed.
    The 64 bit kernel provided the same satisfactory results. The machine felt fast and reliable at all. The only thing I notice different was the temperature. While on the 32 bit kernel the cpu reached up to 85C, on the 64 bit it reached up to 92C
    I will keep testing the computer in the next days, but overall, I am pretty sure I will not have problems.

  • A tale, which has a happy ending.....

    Today i rang  to cancel my  Bt vision.. my contract was up, and as many of you know it has become quite repetitive..
    anyway, thats not the question.. i did get through to a UK call centre in Doncaster to a very cool guy. so explained to him i am going to go for
    just pay per view so to speak as basically all the content i have seen before..... for obvious reason i will not mention his name... all good so far
    after he asked me why i did not want to continue, he did understand.. cool guy...
    so i said i am going to take up Infinity so i will just choose to download a movie and just pay on demand....
    Problem he said. if you cancel Vision you cannot get access to anything including pay per view, but he said i have only been here
    a year so will check with my manager.. came back and sorry you have to have the basic 4£ basic to access anything(of course it still would be a stand alone
    hard drive) i said OK no worries, i will just cancel it even though i thought that was a bit strange because you used to be able to just have a vision box and use is
    it as pay per view...
    Anyway, the sweetener came when he said he could give me infinity2 for a good price. considering i live less than a mile from the exchange.. i said yes
    Now here is the rub of it all... i would still have to pay the 4£.. to still be able to access vision, however the whole thing is working out cheaper than before i started..
    So Now i will get so they say download of 76k and uploads of 20k with unlimited usage......
    The moral of the story is, you get through to the person who is on top of their game .. kinda makes ya wana stay with the company...
    Aint life strange
    sundance...

    Ectophile wrote:
    BT no longer offer the pay-per-view option to new customers.  The only alternative to the full package is the £4 per month TV package.
    They haven't shown any signs of withdrawing the pay-per-view option to those who already have it, yet.
    I think they have got fed up with supporting customers like me who just use the box as a Freeview recorder, and who hardly ever pay for anything.  But then again, if their on-demand prices were more reasonable, perhaps I would watch more.
    Ohh...
    Thats a good point...

  • A happy ending!

    A positive story!
    This morning I got two new 512mb memory blocks, to upgrade my computer to 2 GB Ram.
    I removed two blocks, put in two new blocks.
    And the the PM was dead!
    Oh, s... I thought, forgot to remove the AC cable during the operation.
    Motherboard is burned!?
    My children were told to be silent, and go away.
    Dad is depressed-and what is Xmas going to be like?
    Is Xmas going to happen, anyway?
    Memory blocks have to be installed in pairs, that I did know.
    In my PM I have 4 Ram slots in two pairs.
    So I put my old Ram in the first two slots and the new memory in the next two slots. But no, no, no! Computer is dead!
    By accident I got it right: Ram 1 in slot 2 of section one/slot 1 of section 2......
    Ram 2 in slot 1 of section one/slot 2 of section 2. I´m sure you know what I mean.
    And my great PM is running as usual. The best computer I ever had, is still
    the best I ever had.
    Merry Xmas to you all!
    JanD

    Thanks for posting. I'm sure that I would have done the same thing. I'm going to save your post as a reminder. Also, I agree, my PM is the best computer that I've ever had!!

  • WebDB - a woeful tale with a happy ending.

    In the hopes that some of you can avoid the day and a half of
    misery that I have endured at the hands of this *&^*% product,
    here goes...
    By default, WebDB wants to use port 80. It may be a great
    product, but I prefer to run a real web server on port 80 and to
    relegate utilities like webdb to another port. So I installed
    Webdb on port 8888 and brought up the listener. Everything
    worked smoothly until I tried to access Webdb from a browser on
    a different PC. When I tried that I got a "Bad DNS" error even
    though I could otherwise connect to port 80 from other machines.
    I even verified that port 8888 was open and listening by doing a
    netstat -a and then I looked at the packets by doing a tcpdump.
    I was stuck.
    Finally, I killed the wdblsnr processes and did a wdbstart on
    port 1800 instead. Now it seems to work although I have other
    problems that belong in a different thread.
    Good Luck!
    Dave.

  • Happy Ending

    I thought as there have been SO many posts about Apple service regarding the Whine noises, random shutdowns, mlb replacement i thought i would post a positive report about Apples service for repairs here in the u.k.
    I sent my refurbished Macbook Pro in for 3 reasons, 1: the random shutdown issue, 2: the (barely noticeable on my machine) whine noise, and 3: the casing not quite fitting in places (probably due to the refurbish conditioning maybe?)
    I was originally told that it would only take upto 10 days to fix my MBP and that they had the parts necessary for the repairs. After a few phone calls and 3 weeks it was returned.
    Sure it was longer than expected, and i had to chase the Apple care line a couple of times for any clue to discover what progress had been made on my machine, BUT when it was returned it has been completely repaired to a new standard.
    They replaced; casing (top & bottom), left & right fans, screen inverter, dvd drive, MLB motherboard, heat paste.
    And it runs perfectly!
    No random shutdowns, no noisey whine, and it runs at a new lower heat so i can comfortabley use it as a laptop unless i am doing heavy photo/video work, but even then its still not as hot as before...
    The only thing i HAVE noticed is that the left fan runs constantly from start up, with the right one only kicking in at the point where i am using a lot of processor usage on video editing and photo work at the same time.
    Other than that it is NOW the machine i paid for.... and even the little scratch on the bottom of the refurbished old casing has been replaced with the new casing part giving a brand new feel.
    3 weeks of waiting..... better late than never fixed i guess!

  • Happy ending (thanks to the Mods).

    Just a quick post to offset all the doom and gloom normally found here.
    I contacted the forum moderators (Dean) after my BB began to deteriorate and noist began to appear on the landline.
    An engineer visit was scheduled for the 11th March between 8 and 1 and the engineer promptly showed up at 9:15.
    He diagnosed the fault as a broken line in the junction box attached to the outside of my house.
    He then moved the box a little lower as the lines were a tad short and replaced the wire into the house.
    He was also informative when I began to ask some technical questions as well as not trying to fob me off with waffle for those questions that he didn't know the answers to.
    I am now back to my usual speeds (around 46D/8U due to distance from cab).
    Only need to get interleave mode switched back to fast mode.
    So all in as good a result as I could have expected.
    Thanks Mods.

    I've been dealing with Dean recently and whilst it's taken longer to fix my problem than I would have liked - not Dean's fault btw - I also would like to commend him and all the other mods.
    I doubt that without a moderators help my problem would have been resolved by now.
    Dealing with these guys certainly helps considerably, in my case my email. Certainly far easier & far less frustrating than dealing with a call centre.

  • Let's see how this ends.. Verizon's integrity. This could affect YOU. **Important**

    Hi all, I'm sorry to have to make my first post about such a subject, but I am a fairly new customer to Verizon and I've uncovered something pretty ugly about the company, I guess we'll see if they make it right or not.
    The situation:
    I had my iPhone stolen on the 7th of Feb 2013 (a week or so ago). I wasn't too worried about it, because I'd called to get insurance added shortly after receiving my iPhone 5.
    I completed the necessary steps (find myy iPhone app, no luck there so I erased my iphone remotely, to protect my data, reported the theft to police)
    Then, I called Verizon to file an insurance claim.. this is where I come to a screeching halt.
    The rep I spoke to, tells me that my phone is not insured. This can't be right.. I definitely insured it. I asked the rep to double check. Nope, no insurance. Then I asked them why the insurance wasn't added, and they were able to find the notes from the call I had, when I insured the phone. Problem solved.
    After putting me on hold for a while, the rep comes back and tells me "although the phone is technically uninsured, Verizon have agreed to give you a new iphone 5, at a discounted price, so you will pay the same cost that you would have paid with insurance. The cost of the deductible." - please note, when I quote the rep, it may not be verbatim.
    So that's a relief! Great..
    The rep puts me on hold again while she goes to order my new phone for me.
    After some time she comes back again and tells me "I'm so sorry but the iphone 5 is on back order, so I'm not able to put the order in for you. You would be better off going to your local Verizon store, where they will be able to give you the phone at the promised price"
    I was a little worried that the store would not be able to, but when I asked about that, the rep assured me "Don't worry, they will be able to see the notes. I am notating your account that you will be getting your new iPhone 5 at the same price of the deductible."
    It's not easy for me to get time to go out to the Verizon store, but I decide to make the trip, it seems worthwhile, to get my replacement phone on the spot.
    A couple of days after the phone call with the rep, I found the time to go to the store, but when I got there, they seemed confused and after quite a bit of time, finally refused to give me the iphone 5, telling me that it's not possible and that I need to order it through customer service.
    So I call customer service again.
    This time I speak to another rep, who tells me that they cannot in fact give me the iphone at the discounted rate. She started from scratch even though I asked her to look at the notes so we didn't have to go through everything again.
    She starts to question the other rep's decision, saying that the other rep was in a different part of the company, and "maybe that's how they do things there". I tried to explain to her that while they may have different departments, I expect them to all be "Verizon". As far as the customer is concerned, every part of Verizon should represent the company as a whole, not as this branch of customer service versus another.
    By this time I'd become increasingly frustrated,  having been led in circles, told something different by each person I spoke with, and having wasted a substantial amount of time on the phone and driving to the store, talking to the people at the store, back on the phone etc. so I asked to speak to a manager about the issue to try to get it resolved once and for all.
    The manager got on the phone and from the start seemed very confrontational. Maybe I got him on a bad day, or maybe he just loved to fight.. either way, things did not go smoothly.
    He started out by trying to twist the blame of not having insurance on the phone, back around onto me even though Verizon had previously accepted responsibility.
    I asked him how he could justify this being my fault, and his answer blew me away.. "well, you should have looked to make sure the insurance had in fact been activated" So disgusted I was at this point, by the sheer lack of professionalism. But still I kept my composure, and calmly asked him if Verizon's policy was to have it's customers check to make sure they did their job.
    He basically latched onto that idea, that it was my responsibility to check it and make sure the insurance had been applied. I could not believe it.. aghast, I just told him that it was irrelevant anyway, because Verizon had already accepted the responsibility and promised me a replacement at the same cost as a deductible.
    To that, he replied: "Well, I'm not going to honor that. Our rep could offer you a million dollars. Do you expect me to honor that too?"
    Think about this for a second.. Clearly, a customer service representative offering to replace a phone because of an error made by the company she represents is not the same as a rep offering me a million dollars. This guy was just completely adamant on helping me, and it seemed to me it was more about "winning the argument" than anything else for him.
    I knew I would not get anywhere with him, so I asked him to please escalate the case. His reply to that was: "I'm as high as you're ever going to get, speaking to Verizon. I'm it.. it doesn't get escalated higher than me. My decision is final"
    I asked one more time, what what the official reason is for not honoring the other reps promise, and how he could justify not doing it even though it had been offered to me. (Now, I'd like to add, this promise was not something I'd imagined or made up. It was actually written in the notes, that I had been offered the replacement for the same cost as a deductible. I confirmed this by going on chat to speak with a sales rep later that day, and I had the rep go into my account and confirm that this promise was made. I also had them email me the chat transcript, so I had something in writing.. I have evidence of this promise.)
    His answer was simply: "That offer is no longer on the table" - That part is verbatim. I remember clearly those were his exact words. That offer is no longer on the table. I asked for him to clarify, but he just repeated, "That offer is no longer on the table", followed by "..and there's nothing you can do about it."
    In all my life, I have never seen a large company like Verizon behave in this way. It has been extremely the most stressful dealing I have ever endured with a company of this scale.
    Now, a week later I still have no resolution. I'm currently without a phone, which is a very big deal for me, because I have two young daughters in Australia, who have my number memorized as an emergency contact and they call me and speak to me often. I miss them a lot, and after having not seen them for over a year, speaking to them on a daily basis has become something that's very important to me, and to my girls.
    I'm hoping and praying someone from Verizon will read this, and help me, or maybe some of you on the forum may have some idea on what to do at this point.
    Thank you so much for reading, thank you for your time, please comment, or let me know if you have any advice for me. I'll be posting this on several other sites as well.
    Along with hoping to get some help with my situation, I'm also hoping others who read this will be cautious about trusting the word of your Verizon rep, and please get everything in writing, (although even if I had my offer in writing, I have no idea how it would help.)
    I plan also to open a case with Consumer Affairs, as well get my story out there on a large scale via certain media.
    Thanks again
    Aloha

    Verizon staff, if you're reading this, I hope that you will see it as an opportunity to show other customers and potential customers that this type of thing is not your usual way of treating customers.
    I hope that you see it as a chance to prove Verizon's integrity.
    I will be updating this thread, to let people know how the situation is handled from this point on.
    I have not yet posted this in any other forum, and I do not plan to reach out to a wider audience yet. If all goes well, it will stop here.. Please give this story a happy ending.
    Thanks.

  • Time Machine + iCal = Happiness

    I figure among the war stories we read on all these boards I'd post a happy ending...
    Last night .Mac / MobileMe decided to lose several years worth of iCal data. Everywhere. On all my computers. It even spread to the Google calendar which I keep in sync with SpanningSync.
    On my office computer I have a Time Capsule hooked up.
    I reached back to the Calendar folder from yesterday at 4p (which I know was working just fine) and restored the Calendar data.
    It worked!
    I'm extremely annoyed at the whole MobileMe forced transition - but very pleased with Time Machine. I do test it from time to time... yet there's always doubt about whether it'll work when I need it to... and when I really needed it Time Capsule / Time Machine came through with flying colors.
    Chalk this up as one happy story here on the Apple boards.
    (and yes, I'm turning off MobileMe syncing and sticking with Spanning Sync for the foreseeable future)

    Your profile shows SL, but you're in the Lion forum.
    If you're using Lion, then the Home Library folder is hidden. In the Finder, select GO and hold the option key down. Choose Library in the submenu.
    Select the folder then enter TM.

I get why Joel lied. But I feel like it was selfish. What really needed to happen was for Ellie to be allowed to make an informed decision. Although I know and Joel knows she would've sacraficed herself so he didn't bother telling her. Don't think he could handle losing her after what he went through with his daughter.The ending does leave you feeling a bit hollow but at least it means there's wiggle room for growth should they go for a sequel. Brilliant game. Makes me think about how I'd be in a world of survival of the fittest. Wash your dirty mouth! I hope this game never gets a sequel/prequel. Of course there are infinite stories to tell in this universe but the world itself wouldn't be as interesting to discover the second time.  What could they do to better it for a second game, they approached rape, suicide, cannibalism so it would be difficult to shock us again, it would also be hard to fin a greater character study than a man who lost his daughter to this brutal world escorting a possible cure who is of a similar age. If  this sells well I hope ND and the wider gaming world realise it's because we want a great new IP, not necessarily The Last Of Us  Wash your eyes out with soap! . I never said they are doing a sequel or that I want one. Just that I think they ended the game the way they did so that they have the option to do so. In my personal opinion games like these are better left as one-off experiences for sure for a variety of reasons.Perhaps the not so happy ending is fitting with this game, but I'd be very surprised if the potential for a sequel didn't play a factor when it came to creating the ending. I just wish the world they lived in had some kind of definitive ending to it, rather than just closing one chapter in the lives of Ellie and Joel (not even their lives and relationship came to a conclusion. No flash forwards or destinations reached). If you take a step back and look at it, you can see they've most certainly left the door open for that option of a sequel..

  • Controlling LEDs on Artix-7

    Hello. I want to control the LEDs on my Artix 7 ac701 (xc7a200tfbg676-2). I defined my entity by providing an input "a" and an array for the output "LED" of length 4 because my FPGA has 4 LEDs.
    library IEEE;
    use IEEE.STD_LOGIC_1164.ALL;
    entity led_on is
    port ( a : in std_logic;
    LED : out STD_LOGIC_VECTOR (3 downto 0));
    end led_on;
    architecture Behavioral of led_on is
    begin
    LED(0) <= a;
    LED(1) <= not a;
    LED(2) <= a;
    LED(3) <= not a;
    end Behavioral;
    Then, I defined the constraint in the following way:
    set_property LOC M26 [get_ports {leds[0]}]
    set_property LOC T24 [get_ports {leds[0]}]
    set_property LOC T25 [get_ports {leds[0]}]
    set_property LOC R26 [get_ports {leds[0]}]
    taking the information from UG952 (v1.3) April 7, 2015 (pag 54).
    The error that Vivado 2015.2 prints, when I try to generate the bitstream, is "'set_property' expects at least one object." I thing something is missing in the constraint but I don't know what. Any suggestion?
    Thanks.

    Thanks  and  for the support.
    I post here the final code, hope it will be useful to somebody else.
    led_on.vhd:

    end led_on;
    architecture Behavioral of led_on is
    begin
    LED(0) <= not a;
    LED(1) <= not a;
    LED(2) <= not a;
    LED(3) <= not a;
    end Behavioral;
    constraint_led.xdc:
    set_property LOC M26 [get_ports {LED[3]}]
    set_property LOC T24 [get_ports {LED[2]}]
    set_property LOC T25 [get_ports {LED[1]}]
    set_property LOC R26 [get_ports {LED[0]}]
    set_property LOC T5 [get_ports a]
    set_property IOSTANDARD LVCMOS33 [get_ports {LED[3]}]
    set_property IOSTANDARD LVCMOS33 [get_ports {LED[2]}]

    Once the FPGA is programmed, the GPIO LEDS are switched on and by pressing the button SW5 on the FPGA they will switch off.
