Child panel -how to put him at specific place in Parent panel

Hello I created program with main panel which other panels as tabs.
I need to put child panel on on of the tab panels .
How can i do that and obtain view of the child panel only
on the right panel?
I'm attach a picture to describe.

Hi Meir,
it seems to me that you are missinig a very basic concept about the tab control: each tab actually IS a child panel! That is, all the controls you have on your test panel can be simply loaded on the tab page you want, leaving other pages unchanged.
You may be missing the scroll bar on the right, which effectively is not present on tab controls, but as far as I can see your interface could be reduced to a single table control put on a tab page with appropriate row and colunm headers.
In any case, if you don't want to heavily modify your existing code you can use InsertPanelAsTabPage () command to add a panel you have previously loaded to the tab control: in this case an existing scroll bar is maintained. Keep in mind that this instruction actually make a copy of the original panel, so you will need to retrieve the correct tab page handle to address control on the added page. The original panel can be discarded immediately after adding it to the tab control.

When a user click on Header or Lines or Total or Error or Approval, its related page is displayed below it on the screen. But I don't understand how to put "Header", "Lines", "Total", "Error" and "Approval" together as above format and link them to its related page. Can anybody tell me how to do that ? Thanks.

I am developing an accounting system using PeopleTools by myself.
Because you understand PeopleSoft financial application, please tell me the 2 questions as follows:
First, In Journal Line page, when select "edit Journal" and click button "process", the system check the Journal against Budget, if it's Ok, the System assign Journal ID for the Journal and put "valid" into the field of "Budget Status" and "Journal Status" in Total page. If it's not OK, the system send error message into Error page. Do you know how developer do that ?
Second, In Journal Line Page, when select "Submit Journal" and click button "process", the system send the Journal to Approval page for approval. Do you know how developer do that ?

How to put value of specific line number in BDC

Hi all,
I am working on a BDC (MI04)which has 3 fields as header:
Document Number:
Date:
Fiscal Year.
After entering I get a screen having default Material Number, its description and its serial number. There is one field named QTY where I need to push the value through BDC.
But the issue is that I am not able to reach to that Material Code to push the qty value. I am getting the Material Code and its serial number in the text file from user.
May some times the given material code in on the NEXT PAGE (P+). So dont know how to go to the next page and push the qty in front of the correct material code..
Please help. Its very very urgent.

How send menu shortcut keystroke from child to parent panel

Hello,
I have simple question:
Parent (main) panel has a menubar and menuitems (menu_callbacks), with some shortcut keys (like <F5>, <Ctrl>+<R> etc).
The task is propagate the keystroke from the child panel to the parent panel when the parent panel is INACTIVE.
I try to make solution via EVENT_KEYSTROKE and CallPanelCallback(), but this solution doesn't work correctly ...
Any hits will be appreciated!

you are right, the example of course works correctly.
I'm such a fool, - because I thought of the child panels in "user", not the programmatic concept.
Explanation: the "child" panels are programmed as "top-level panel", I use
panel = DuplicatePanel (0, gui_dpl_pPoll, title, VAL_KEEP_SAME_POSITION, VAL_KEEP_SAME_POSITION);
because I want to let the child panel 'float' over whole display ().
When I change
panel = DuplicatePanel (main_pMain, gui_dpl_pPoll, title, ...
the keystroke is propagated correctly .... But the child panel is (of course) cropped to parent panel boundary.
So I rephrase the question - how to send menu shortcut keystroke (not processed) from one (top-level) panel to another panel?

Do you know how to put a text line just for one photo? I mean I have more photos in one portfolio but i need the text line to be seen just for one photo for the others no.

You can use composition for this , where you can insert text frame for that specific photo where you want to add some description and for rest dont use text frame.

Can't figure out how to PUT

First off, I'm a Newbie to Dreamweaver. So. I'm in a real
learning phase.
I can't figure out how to "Put" my development file to my web
Server. I have an ftp connection. At least I think I do since I
have file list that seems to be pointing to the files I have on
webserver. I manually copied my files from my development folder to
my web server. Now I want to use Dreamweaver to put my files and
then I want to have Dreamweaver manage my file so that next time I
one have to upload my "Changed" files. I searched Dreamweaver Help
and didn't understand what I read. Sorry..
Appreciate any help you can give me, or point me to somewhere
on the web that my a step by step procedure.

How to change a setting in the Java Control Panel with command line

I am trying to figure out how to change a setting in the Java Control Panel with command line or with a script. I want to enable "Use SSL 2.0 compatible ClientHello format"
I can't seem to find any documentation on how to change settings in the Java Control Panel via the command line

OK figured it out. This is for the next person seeking the same solution.
When you click on the Java Control Panel (found in the Control panel) in any version of Windows, it first looks for a System Wide Java Configuration (found here: C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment). At this point you must be wondering why you don't have this folder (C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment) or why its empty. Well, for an enterprise environment, you have to create it and place something in it - it doesn't exist by default. So you'll need a script (I used Autoit) to create the directory structure and place the the two files into it. The two files are "deployment.properties" and "deployment.config".
Example: When you click on the Java Control Panel it first checks to see if this directory exists (C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment) and then checks if there is a "deployment.config". If there is one it opens it and reads it. If it doesn't exist, Java creates user settings found here C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment on Windows 7.

If you look in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment on Windows 7 for example you will find "deployment.properties". You can use this as your default example and add your settings to it.

Add this line:
deployment.security.SSLv2Hello=true
Maybe you want to disable Java update (which is a big problem for enterprises)

How to put a single stack item to an album?

Maybe a silly question, but I can't find out how to put a single item from a stack into an album. When I drag a stacked item to an album, the entire stack appears in the album. This is not what I want, I want to get the single item in the album.
I know I can make a single stacked item in an album to be the albumpick. But this is not enough. Sometimes I need to put two items from the same stack into this album.

It is as designed but I don't think what you want to do is a particularly wrong use of stacks. I can see using stacks as a way to reduce clutter in the browser but still wanting to be able to get to individual images in the stack to use..
What is interesting is the wording in the Aperture users guide concerning stacks:
Dragging Stacks
You can drag an entire stack to a new location, *and you can drag specific images within a stack to a new location*. When a stack is closed, dragging the stack moves the entire stack. *When a stack is open, you can drag individual images to new locations in the Browser*. You can also drag images into a stack. If you drag an image within a stack into a different project, however, the entire stack moves to the new location.

So the first part sounds like you should be able to drag an image out of the stack to an album, the second just mentions dragging an image out of the stack in the browser.
And in way you can do this, the only thing is what you end up doing is unstacking the image you drag out. Not exactly what you would want to do.
I think it should be OK to place individual stack items into albums and have them remain in the stack. Any reason this would be a bad idea?

I have a question :
How can I set a specific user log on name to a specific machine.
e.g.
Only User.A can log on to PC.A and the other can not.
Base On :
Windows Server 2003
Active Directory Version : 5.2.3790.1812

Technically we're both right. This depends on what scenario you're setting this up.
1) If you want to say only this person can log on to this machine, and it's not an enterprise solution (meaning you have a handful of computers you want restricted, not all computers) then do something like Yan Li has recommended. However, I
do not recommend using any DENY LOCAL LOGON user rights. In this case, you would have to deny everyone except 'User A' and your Administrators. If you put a user in ALLOW LOCAL LOGON and DENY LOCAL LOGON, then DENY wins and no one logs in. Instead,
you should remove all the settings from ALLOW LOCAL LOGON and add only User A and administrators.
2) If this is an enterprise solution, use the LOG ON TO option I mentioned before. Managing user right assignments per machine is very difficult and isn't a practical way to do it on a large scale. If every user in your domain is assigned a computer
that they can use, only that user can use that machine and that machine will effectively only allow that user. For this to work, EVERY user must be restricted to a workstation, if no setting is present, then that user can log on anywhere. This
is my preferred solution still.
Like I said, it depends on your situation to which route is better. I hope this helps and is clear and easy to understand.

How to put clips in order by number in List View? Opened Premier and they were reversed!

I imported a lot of clips in numeric order from lowest to highest. Today when I opened Premier the order was reversed in the list view from Highest to lowest number. I dont know why. I did not change anything. It did this to all my other bins also!!
When I look at the clips in icon view they are in proper order!!!
So now when I try to put on timeline it places my last clip first. Is there an easy way to reverse the order in List View to the way I originally imported them? I don't want to have to re import all the clips.

They are in order in windows. For some reason they are backwards when I opened Premier. They were in order originally.

Not sure what they mean? Is the column heading they are talking about in Premier? Do they mean the bins? This should be easy, But I am not finding it!

When I delete a photo from a page, it does not stay in the assets panel. My client uses in browser editing daily. Once a week he changes a photo just for a day, then needs the previous photo to replace it. The original photo is not in the asset panel (or folder) for him to choose.
When you upload a photo, it has an arrow in the asset panel. How do you use this as an asset?

I have a page (results.asp) that gets dynamically generated
from a db using a DW and MySQL app. The page (a table) looks
sometihng like this:

and so on
I've made the "Year" column a text link and added a Pop-Up
Menu behavior so that users could select a year and jump directly
to a specific section of the page (table). However, I'm not sure
how to put a <a href> name anchor in for each of the years.
For instance calling :
<a name="1951">1951</a>
from a declaration of:
<a href="#1951">Go to year 1951</a>
I would want to call each year (1951, 1952...1973) using name
anchors. But again, I'm not sure how to put all the named anchors
in a document that gets dynamically generated. It is a a table that
gets its data generated via a Repeated Region. Hope this question
makes sense. Any suggestions/comments appreciated. Thanks.

If you year card allways follows that format then you could
use the
following code on the page.
Outside of the repeat region have this statement

Then in the repeat region where you want the anchor to appear
use this code

How can I make an area of the front-panel have scroll bars?

I'm writing a VI that provides many options to the user. The front-panel is large and contains many controls ~130 of them, it's divided up visually to match the workings of the system the VI controls. One particular functional block has very many control options though these are rarely used. I can't fit all of the controls I need onto the screen area I have available.
What I would like is a way of making an area of the screen with scroll bars on it. I don't need any more than that, just an expansion of the front-panel area I have available. The "Sub-Panel" feature provides the scroll bars. But, a Sub-Panel is a way of accessing another VI, I don't want to do that. I could put the extra controls on the far-left or far-right of everything else and get the user to scroll the main scroll bars at the edges of the screen. The problem with that is that I it would mean couldn't lay out my front panel to match the system block-diagram as I have so far.
Does anyone know how to do this?

I know I can show the scroll bars at the edge of the VI. In my case that's not very useful. The front panel shows a block diagram of a system. It's made up of a set of clusters which control various parts of the system. I want to keep this layout because it's very useful in explaining to people new to the system how it works. I inherited that approach from a previous iteration of the program for an older system. The problem I have is that the new system has far more control parameters for one of the blocks. Unfortunately it's one of the blocks in the middle of the block diagram. If it were one at the left, right, top or bottom it would be no problem because the main scrollbars could be used.
I can use a tab-control, that's my fall-back plan. The problem is that would be abusing the purpose of the tab control. In a tab control each tab is supposed to deal with a group of controls that have a common connection. So, all the things in tab #1 are supposed to be connected in some way and all the things in tab #2 are supposed to be connected in some way. There not supposed to be a way of gaining more screen space.
The controls I'm dealing with are numeric controls, switches and rings.
