Choosefromlists and User Field Problem

Hi all,
i'm trying to associate a choosefromlists to a user defined field added to the Warehouse Definition form (Form 62).
I've seen that the form id for UDF is -62.
I've followed the choosefromlists sample coming with SDK and it seems to wotk well, till i try to do the Databind with EditText field related to my UDF.
I've written the following code:
oItem = oForm.Items.Item("U_MYFIELD")
oEditTextBP = oItem.Specific
' Adding Choose From List
oEditTextBP.DataBind.SetBound(True, "", "EditDS")
Using the debugger i've seen that the problem is that oItem.Specific can't get the object on form so it returns a null value.
What's wrong in my code?

Hi, according to the sample provided by SDK the field should be an EditText.
The problem is that i can't get the right event when i select my UDF and try to creat the choosefromlists.
Could the problem be that i can't get the right instance of the Warehouse definition Form?
Could anyone provide me some sample code?...On another form too.

Images and image field problem

Hi
I would like the user to be able to upload an image that will be scaled proportionally to the size of the field pre determined.
I understand that options of image field: "scale image proportionally" is meant for this exactly.
For some reason, this works with images but not with image fields.

In Lightroom, there is no specific location where the photos should go. You can put them wherever you want, based upon your storage needs and hard drive setup.
So, with regards to your specific question, yes you can put the photos in the same folder as where the .lrcat is located, I can't see any harm, but I also don't think you need to do the work to make that happen. You can pretty much leave your photos where they are (which is easier and less time consuming) than moving them to the .lrcat folder, and easier and less time consuming than moving them at all.
In fact, I strongly suggest you change your thought processes from "Where do I put my photos" to "How can I organize my photos". Now that you are a Lightroom user, you organize your photos from within Lightroom, not by moving them here to there, but by adding keywords and other metadata. Organizing, now that you are LR user, is not folders ... it is metadata. Searching, now that you are a LR user, is not done in your operating system and in folders, it is done in LR by searching for keywords and other metadata.

Bi office and USER variable problem

On my OBI (10.1.3.3.1) platform users are authenticated through LDAP using mail as username (user attribute equals mail in LDAP settings). If authentication succeed variable USER is set to uid (from LDAP) and so web user (created in presentation) has name uid. The problem is when I try to log to bi office using mail. User can log in (LDAP), but there is no presentation catalog. I've checked the logs of bi office and find out that I'ts looking for user mail, but web user has a name equals to value of uid (from LDAP) not mail. I think that when log to bi office It doesn't execute initialization block associated with LDAP - doesn't set USER variable to uid. Does anyone know how to get rid of this?
I have also another questions: How delete web user or change his name in Presentation Catalog? I think I cannot simply delete/rename directory using Catalog Administrator.

I have a Date column in the dashboard prompt which is specifed as 'in between' because I want my report to return fields only in between the dates specified in the dashboard prompt by the user. In the report in answers I have the Date column filter as 'is prompted'.
Now I want to use a variable (not sure if it is presentation variable) in the title of the report so the dates picked by the user appear in the title of the report when we show up it dashabord.

LMS 3.2 and user tracking problem

running on windows server 2008.
This was a clean bulid, and we imported all pertinent data from our old lms 2.6 server. This was in september 2010. Everything worked as expected and continues to work except for......
We are in an upgrade cycle for our 4500s. We are upgrading from 12.2.50-sg4 to 12.2.50-sg8, and also upgrading rommon to 12.2.31r-sga4.
It appears that user tracking is not working anymore for the upgraded 4500s. UT still runs, and works perfectly for all other devices, including the 4500s that have not been upgraded yet. I know this sounds goofy, but it really does seem to be the common denominator. I've checked the windows updates, package updates, etc in trying to figure out what made this happen. It really does all come back to upgrading to the above version. All aspects of this server are running great and as expected, it's just that UT for the upgraded 4500s isn't working anymore. I do run the logbackup script weekly (past experience has taught me to do this), and try and keep up with any patches or package updates, etc.
If anyone has seen something similar or can suggest anything, I'd appreciate it. I think I am going to have to open a case on this. Thanks - chris

Indeed, it looks like that is the problem. I guess I was focused in on CW rather than the whole picture. But yes, indeed, if I walk the mac table for a vlan on a 4500 that has not been upgraded it works. If I do the same on an upgraded one, I get nothing.
The cautious optimism is that we do have a sup6 at our DR location that is running 12.2.53-sg1 and this test works on that switch. So as long as that
version isn't deferred, we'll test that on one of the older sups to verify.

MBAM 2.5 - Connection between Machines and Users in DB Error

Hey everyone.
I'm having a bit of trouble deploying MBAM 2.5.
I had a previous installation of MBAM 2.0. The 2.5 installation went smooth, the GPOs are deployed and everything is working well. Except for one thing. I can't rescue TPM passwords or use Drive Recovery if I complete the User Domain and User fields in the
forms.
After consulting the database I can see that both ComplianceCore.Machines_Users and RecoveryandHardwareCore.Machines_Users is not updating, thus not associating users with the respective computers. All else is working great, all tables are being refreshed
with Machines, Volumes and Users. Only thing not working is the association of Users with Machines.
Is this a known bug or could there be something wrong in my configuration?

The enterprise domain must contain at least one Windows Server 2008 (or later) domain controller.
If it is possible, can you share your inetpub folder with me? it should be on the IIS server, a root directory of the IIS server.

Copy user fields between PRq and PO.

Hello.
I have little problem.
I prepare new user field in Purchase Requisition called for example ZFIELD it is displayed and save into table EBAN by user exit MEREQ001. Now I want to copy this field to Purchase Order when I create PO with reference to PRq. How to do that? I can't find any user exit or badi
The new field is prepare at item level in Preq and I want to copy it to PO at item level also.
I have extend table EKPO.

Problems with user fields

Hi, I need some help.
I try to assign a user field from a float var, the problem is, only the entire part was wrote on the field and the decimal part doesn´t appear or it´s lost.
From user field to a var doesn´t have problems.
FoUsrTable.UserFields.Fields.Item(TObject(j)).Value := tobject(fValor);
I need to do something special?

Hi Juan Correa
You must make sure that your userfield is of the correct type, make sure it does accept decimal points. Check from the front end of SBO if it is correct. If not, change the type of the field until you get it in the desired format in the UDF definition. Remember that under general settings you can also set the additional decimal points as you please.
If it is still giving you a problem then the way you are placing it in there is causing a problem. Maybe place a small code snippet if you don't come right.

Deploying Windows 7 via Offline Media (ISO) to MS Virtual PC's
I am looking on how to Hide the User Name, Password, and Domain fields which are prepopulated in the MDT wizard via the CS.ini (Not so concerned about the Domain field as I am User Name and Password)
We do need the Computer Name and OU fields to be seen, so skipping the wizard is not a option
The client just does not want these fields to be seen by the end users, they dont want them to even know the account name used for adding the machine to the domain, of course the password is not displayed but it must not be displayed either.
But since we use the fields they must still be fuctional just not seen.

You shouldn't have to edit DeployWiz_Definition_ENU.xml. You should only need to add "SkipAdminPassword=YES" to the CS.ini file and your authentication information.
Example:

Can you export the date and user to Excel that appears into a Comments field in a tracking list?
When i export a tracking list with a Comment field in the Content type, the screen where you enter the data for an item, the Comments field just export the text of the comment into the Excel file.
In the Comments field appears also, besides the comment text, the user and date from who and when the comment is added.
Is there a way to export also the user and the date?

create another comment field that doesn't use 'appending', and through SP Designer change workflow keep
updating that field with the new comments (prepend the field with date/username/new comment). Hide the field on all forms, but put it in the view you need to export to Excel.

I have used the How to guide Line Items in BI Integrated Planning to implement the functionality to save the username, guid, date and time of who is planning. I do not get any errors but the field 0uname is empty and the guid field gets the username of the planner (0uname). The date and time field get populated correctly. Why does the fieldu2019s username and guid populated incorrectly? Do I have to change the code (I just copied the code from the How to document)? To me the abap code looks correct.
We use BI 7.0 and SPS 17.
