Choosing an email address on contacts with multiple addresses
Has anyone found a way, using Siri, to choose which email address to send to when a contact has multiple addresses? She asks which address would you like me to send the message to and I have found no way to verbally choose and address.
You cannot rename the labels in Outlook except by modifying the Contact form. Which, as a developer, I can do. However, my fear is that it won't be pushed to the iPhone since they already have unique identifiers now and they are only showing up on the iPhone as "email". While it may be that Exchange only labels them as email Android devices equate E-mail to Business Email and E-mail 2 as Home Email by default.
Maybe the next iterration of Siri will allows us to chose first, second, or third.

Sending emails to one Contact with multiple Addresses
Hi,
I am a volunteer with youth sports, and frequently need to send emails to entire teams of kids. I have the players all listed as one contact, but have the email addresses both parents and themselves listed under their contact. When I send an email, I need it to go to all listed, Parents and Players.
Separating the contacts would be a disaster, as when I need to contact a player I always need to contact, Mom, Dad, and Player...
I did create a group for my team, thinking this was the solution to my issue. Unfortunately, when I went to send an email, it only went to one email for each player. That lead to many complaints "Why did I not get the message"...
Love everything Mac so far, but this is killing me... and may keep me away. Outllook lets me do it so easily, why not mac.
I would appreciate any help.Thanks - starting a brand new SMS rather than continuing an existing thread gave me the option of which number to choose, and the thread then switched to show all the messages related to that number.

How to set default email address for contact with multiple addresses.
Apologies if this has been asked before, it seems a very basic question but I'm unable to find an answer.
Can a default address be set in Address Book for a contact with multiple addresses? Or if not, which address does it send to "automatically" when this condition exists? I know you can manually select the address you want to use, but what if the contact is added to a group?

I have the same question. I have a contact that has five email addresses. When I add the person to a group, Mail automatically selects one of the addresses, but not the one I want. I need to go back and manually select the correct address. Can't I select one of these addresses as the default to be used all the time?

How do I choose which email address to send a calendar invite from?
I use iCalendar for business. I don't want to send company calendar invites with my personal @.mac account. Years ago I had a Bberry and could choose which email address to send it from while creating a meeting in the calendar. Is this not possible with Apple Technology?
Open Mail app. Click where it says mail on the upper left corner of the screen, choose preferences choose accounts tab on the top then select the account you don't want anymore and click the - button at the bottom.

Address book groups: can't customize contacts with multiple email
I have many groups setup in address book and frequently like to use them. Additionally, several of my contacts assigned to groups have multiple email addresses. Is there a way to specifiy which email address of a contact's associates itself with the group? I have not been able to figure this out and am aggravated when I send out personal emails to my friends' work addresses, much to their chagrin.

Then you would use the, "Edit Distribution List" from the Address Book's Edit menu. Select the applicable group and then select which email address that you want the group to use. -
VIP selection will not work on contact with multiple email addresses
Trying to add more people to my VIP list. When selecting a name that has multiple email addresses, I select the address I want added and selection will not "stick" or accept that contact to VIP list.

Well first off... I'm baffled that you succeeded in setting up personal email without a data plan.
You need a data plan to access the BIS network which allows you web browsing (off wifi), email, BBM and the like.

I want to send out an email to one of the groups in my address book, but when I add the group to my email only the first email address for each contact is added. How would I make it so Mac always adds all of a contacts email addresses to the email.
I look at it like this, it was a solution to my problem. There is obviously something wrong with the new version. When everyone starts complaining, and some genius figures out the fix, then I will worry about the upgrade. Until then, I am fine with running 4.0. I have to disagree with you though. 6.0 is a downgrade for sure. There is a lot to be desired compared to this version. Who wants price gong, and screwed up emails. Not me. The problem is out there, and now someone needs to work on the bug fixes on this BETA version.

Setting up one contact with multiple email addresses-i.e Family & Friends
Would like to setup one contact " Family & Friends " and show multiple email addresses - such as 20 or 30 addresses - can this be done >??
I the Ipad contact app does not handle groups. However, there are apps such as Mail2Group. They have both free (lite) and more fully featured version.

Everytime I click on a contact to add to "My Favorites", it randomly selects the info that it will use as a default contact for that number, and recently it's only been choosing the e-mail for FaceTime (which not all of my contacts have) instead of the mobile number, which is what I would like to have it default to for each contact. Please Help!!!
Go to Phone > Favorites.
Select the + button to add a Favorite.
Select the phone number for the chosen contact that you want to add as a Favorite. You can add the cell phone number and the home number or office number as separate Favorites for one contact.
And I just used the Add to Favorites option for a contact. When I selected Add to Favorites for a contact with more than one phone number entry, I'm provided a list of the phone numbers to choose from for the number to be added to Favorites.

Email through business catalyst with multiple websites.
Hello, the first website I designed in Muse and uploaded to Business Catalyst allowed me to have email through Business Catalyst. However, the second website I uploaded does not allow me to do this. Am I missing something or is it not an option to have multiple email addresses with multiple websites?

IOS 7 Contact with multiple FaceTime ID
I recently updated my iPhone 5 to iOS7, however I found that in Facetime app I cant differentiate the two ID I saved as favorite for the same person. Say that person want to be reached by his phone number on his iPhone, and be reached by his apple ID email address on his Mac, it used to show the lable of the email you saved on your phone, now it just says FaceTime.
And it even got worse, when I press the FaceTime button in the contact app, I can choose which phone number or email address I wanna ring in iOS6, but now in iOS7 it just start facetime and I can't even tell it is calling the phone number or the email address.

iMessage and FaceTime are wonderful, empowering, enabling technologies that... can frustrate the crap out of you at times. One of those times is when you update or restore your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad to a new operating system - like millions of people just did with iOS 7 - and it stops working. If you're having trouble with iMessage or FaceTime, if they won't activate or simply won't work, here are some things you can try:
Turn FaceTime or iMessage off and then back on in Settings.
Launch Settings by tapping the icon on the Home screen
Scroll down to Messages or FaceTime
Toggle the switch from on (green) to off (white)
Wait a minute
Toggle the switch back to on (green)
Wait for it to re-activate
Hard reboot your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad
Make sure you're on Wi-Fi
Hold down both the Home button on the front, and the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device
Wait for the Apple logo to appear
If it still doesn't work, repeat step 1 (turning FaceTime or iMessage off and on)
Reset network settings
Launch Settings by tapping on the icon on the Home screen
Tap on General
Scroll all the way to the bottom and tap on Reset
Tap on Reset Network Settings
If it still doesn't work, repeat step 1, then step 2, above (Turning FaceTime or iMessage off and one, rebooting).
One of those, or a combination of both, should get you going again. If it works for you, or if you find any other ways to trouble shoot, let us know in the comments! -
Syncing Contacts with Multiple Outlook Profiles
My outlook has multiple profiles (email addresses) within it, and I am prompted to select which one I want to open when I open Outlook.
Unfortunately iTunes doesn't seem to support this feature and insists on pulling contacts only from the first profile in the list.
Is there a way to stop iTunes from doing this and tell it where to get the contacts from?

You have to set a default profile so that iTunes will use that particular profile. If memory serves me correctly: Control Panel>Mail>Show Profiles>Highlight the Profile you want to use>Always Use>Click OK. Then launch iTunes: iTunes>Preferences>Devices(under the edit menu)>Reset Sync History. Connect your phone & sync. You should get a popup about your contacts & calendars asking to verify your change. Once finished, go back to Control Panel & put everything back the way it was originally. -
Is there an actaul person with an email I can contact with a complaint?
I just spent a FRUSTRATING 90 minutes on the website and "Customer Support" chat that went nowhere.
I am working remotely using an old WIN XP machine, and I need to refresh Premiere Pro. I figured I'd download the package and re-install, since the install disks (and S/N) are 1500 miles away. But the S/N isn't listed in my account. My situation: in 2008 I purchased (box version) and registered CS3. Since that time, between the changes at Adobe and my email, all I have is the confirmation note from Adobe that I registered. I don't think they even emailed serial numbers back then. I own CS6, but Premiere Pro needs a 64 bit O/S, so I'm stuck.
Customer "Support" was pretty worthless: after I typed in concise details of my problem, I was told "the product is not in your account". After that, I was told that if I provided the serial number, I could be helped. You know, if you can't get qualified people, why bother? (chat transcript below).
The website said "Contact Adobe" if a S/N was missing or not in my account. But there's no way to contact Adobe.The website goes in circles, and there are no email addresses. I don't have the hours to spend on a phone call to go through what I did with chat.
So. How can I get the ear of someone who could help me, or at least address this problem? I'm sure I'm not the first person this has happened to.

Chat is going to be your only option for getting help, and you shouldn't be surprised if they don't offer help due to your product no longer being supported (sad but true).
If you had not mentioned that you have an email confirming you registered (double-check that) I would have told you that you probably did not purchase thru Adobe and never registered it so they have no record of you owning it. They do not email serial numbers for disc purchases - they are provided with the discs as you were told in chat. -
Cannot send Mail from Search shortcut "email [name of contact]" with exchange account
i have a Q10 with an exchange Account configured. Mail works fine from the hub but when i use the search feature of the q10 by typing "email [name of contact]" the compser opens but i cannot send. the account field is empty and when i press send the button gets greyed out. the email is not sent.
the problem seems to be that the default-account setting is not recognised when you use the search-shortcut-feature of the q10. when i compose a mail from the hub the account-field is filled right.
same problem has a friend of mine from another company. he also uses a different excahnge server/account.
