CIC0 -- BSP in R/3 -- Download File -- SSO not working
Hi SDN Gurus,
I have a peculiar situation and am hoping for some guidance.
We are running several BSP's internally via CIC0 in CRM. These BSP's are actually developed in the R/3 backed system. One of the BSP's downloads a file from the SAP system.
When the BSP is called via CIC0, it opens up the SAP simple browser. This browser contains a download link which when clicked opens a local (on the users PC) IE browser which then calls the standard download dialog for IE. Before this however, it asks for the R/3 user login and Password.
Since users are logging in via a portal they dont necessarily know their userid and password.
Is there anyway of avoiding the BSP or browser asking for a user id and password before download?
We are using SSO with logon tickets which works for all other BSP's except this particular one with download option.
Any help is highly appreciated and points will be awarded for helpful answers.

"Download Files"procedure not working in duplicate app/shows page not found
Hello,
I have created an application using the "Download files" procedure described in "How to Upload and Download Files in an Application" chapter of the APEX "Advanced Tutorials." It works just fine on the one server, however, when I exported the application and data from the working copy and imported it in APEX running from my laptop, I could upload files and generate a report with a link to click and download the files again but when I clicked on those links, I would get a "Page Not Found" error. It looks like it might not be going to the procedure and instead goes to a page like the following: "http://127.0.0.1:8080/apex/DBAPORTAL.download_image?p_id=1868612316946460." On the working copy on the other server, when the download link is clicked, you will get a dialog box asking if you would like to open or save the file.
Could anybody tell me why the procedure is not being called and goes to a non existent url while the origonal application works just fine on the other server?
I have granted APEX_PUBLIC_USER execute permissions to the procedure. I am wondering if there are any other permissions that I should be granting. Should I grant PUBLIC or ANONOMUSE permissions to use the "download_image" procedure?
I have forgotten to mention that on my laptop I am using database 11.1 and on the server I believe the database is 10g.
Hope to get an answer to this issue. I've asked a couple people already and they are stumped.

I have tried to follow the instructions commented out "RETURN FALSE;" and added procedure 'DOWNLOAD_IMAGE' to wwv_flow_epg_include_local.sql. But I'm confused. Should I be changing file "wwv_flow_epg_include_local.sql' or 'wwv_flow_epg_include_mod_local" package?
When I run "ALTER SESSION SET DBAPORTAL FLOWS_030100;" in sqlplus, how do I know what FLOWS_XXX I have? Is it FLOWS_030100 or FLOWS_030000? I have database 11.1 installed. What version of APEX do I have with this database? How do I find out?
Do I need to be in a perticular directory before I run the alter script? If so what folder?
How do I "Compile the function wwv_flow_epg_include_local.sql.?"
Needless to say, when I added the procedure to the file, and when I tried to alter it, I got the following error:

Why Open / Save dialog for a download file does not work in IE
Hi
have a problem of opening the file downloaded in IE. However I am able to save it to my desktop and open it. I am not able to directly open it when I click on OPEN button.
when I do some research, I have found that the file is getting saved at . C:\Documents and Settings\skadiy000\Local Settings\Temp
where as IE 6.x is looking at .. C:\Documents and Settings\skadiy000\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\some new folder
Working well with Firefox 3.x.
I am using Spring 2.5 with Spring WebFlow 2.0.3 and JExcel.

I've used the file browse item in the IE6 environment in the past, and I'm using it today with IE7, without any problems, so I don't think this is an IE bug. I also don't think it has anything to do with the popup blocker, as the save window is a modal one, and not a popup.
I can't think, right now, of any specific security parameter that will prevent the opening of the save window, but if the other computers you tried this page on, are all connected to the same network (for example) I would start looking there.

Gunzip of download file does not work
So that we may better diagnose problems, please provide the following information.
- Server name
- Filename
- Date/Time
- Browser + Version
- O/S + Version
- Error Msg
I have downloaded the "cpio.gz" for Oracle 9i on Linux.
The file is "Linux9i_Disk1.cpio.gz", the file size on my end is 449027072 bytes - which appears to be right. When I used
"gunzip" to decompress this file or the other two,
I kept getting "gunzip: Linux9i_Disk3.cpio.gz: not in gzip format ".
The server I used is HP-UX 11.0.

The file sizes don't correspond to the sizes stated, but downloaded the smallest one again and got exactly the same file size.

Is your portlet a mobile portlet ?
if yes you can specify that it is not a "mobile only" portlet. -
The download function is not working....!! I don't use any add-ons like idm or dap,etc.... When I click on something like download a doc,pdf or any such file, the firefox just doesn't respond, and when I checked the download, i.e. cntrl+j, I don't find anything in the downloads... I am currently using Firefox 7.0.1....... Nothing is being downloaded, and I am forced to use IE8 for everything... I even tried re-installing, but doesn't help... I am using Windows 7
TonyE is correct the plugin version comes with Adobe's Reader X.
The failure in communication is two parted:
1. Reader X is not Acrobat (Mozilla Plugin Checker)
2. Acrobat is not mentioned in the Reader X download Page (Adobe)
therefore confused clients.

AIR Badge + RewriteRule fails - Downloaded file is not an air file

I'm not entirely sure my problem comes from RewriteRule but I've searched this forum for topics on corrupted AIR files and the Install Badge and tried almost every possible tip with no luck so I thought maybe my special issue comes from it...
Here we go:
I have a server-side script that builds AIR apps which are supposed to be installed (via an Install Badge). Those AIR apps are not stored at a public URL (for security reasons) but read (via PHP) when a specific URL is called. Let me give you an example (with fake paths) :
The server-side built AIR app is store at /srv/data/air/myApp.air
A RewriteRule redirects calls to http://www.my-server.com/air/999.air to http://www.my-server.com/air.php?id=999
The air.php uses the GET id to read the AIR file :

Bad news.
In fact I realized the appurl set in the Install badge is (obviously) not called directly but by a script located at http://adobe.com/apollo... So your my session is not available in the script that is called and that reads the actual AIR file. So I can't check wether the user requiring the file has the right to. At least, not the way I intended to do it...
I will keep you updated if I find something! -
UCCX 8.0 CAD: Can you disable auto update? Error: "unable to download file" Could not open request.
I have a UCCX 8.0 (2) Installed.
Users here have limited access via proxy. Now everytime i try to run the CAD or CSD, i get the error:
"unable to download file" Could not open request.
It seems to want to install or check for an update.
The work around i have found is to go to the CAD directory and change the update.exe filename
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\CAD\bin\update.exe
i dont want to have to do this for every user as i possibly want the update.
Is there a way to allow or bypass proxy on CAD?

JI had this problem before - to resolve it I disabled the proxy in internet explorer settings.
You'll need to make sure the CAD version matches your UCCX server version. Otherwise you may run in to issues.

service stack update 2871777 to enable installation of RDP Connection Broker on 2012 domain controller - downloaded file will not execute.
Downloaded x64 update for server 2012 R2 (KB2871777) - file downloaded is named Windows8-RT-KB2871777-x64.msu
When downloaded to server 2012 R2, upon launching the files, the message reads "Windows Update Standalone Installer"
"The update is not applicable t your computer"
If this is the wrong update please point me to the correct one - I cannot find another instance of this update anywhere.
I am unable to remove the active directory from this server, so I need to use this fix if at all possible, in order to use RDP.
I have tried every workaround I can find. The goal is to have remote users access RDP to run a remote session and access apps and files
on the server. we have Hyper-V enabled and have successfully deployed 10 RDP licenses to the license server) also on the PDC.
I read one post that suggested installing RD Connection Broker in one instance of a VM and AD DS in the other - not sure if that means we remove
AD DS from physical server. We only have one 2012 server (plus a server 2008 with Ad DS) and a server 2003. Trying to make this all work so we can deploy 10 remote desktop users.KB2871777 appears to be for 2012 (non R2) only.
As to the other problem maybe this one helps.

I downloaded sqldeveloper-1.2.1.3213.ZIP and extract to a local directory. From the extracted directory I ran ..\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper.exe from Windows XP sp2. The program itself seems to run just fine but File-Print doesn't do anything. In Help-About, Java Platform is reported as 1.5.0_06 and Oracle IDE is 1.2.1.3213. I'm not sure where to look for what is causing the problem.
ThanksI hadn't tried CTRL-P before but I did today. On the first attempt, I saw a small jump in the memory usage for sqldeveloper.exe as reported in Windows Task Manager. Otherwise, there was no change. A second CTRL-P in the same session produced a further bump but subsequent attempts in the same session produced no further change in CPU or Memory Usage.
Using Task Manager to monitor this further, I tried File->Print again and saw that sqldeveloper would periodically climb to 1 or 2 percent CPU and consume a little more memory. After a minute or so, though, all activity stops again.
I do not get a print dialog box from SQLDeveloper using either CTRL-P or File->Print -
Flash file, clicks not working in one environment
Hi everyone,
I have produced files using Captivate 2, that have output as .exe. These work perfectly across all of our sites, except one.
The only issue with the site where the files are not working is:
- Click box within the Flash file do not progress to the next page
I have output with 'Playback control' and the users at the site in question are able to progress through along the Playback bar. However, I only placed this in for the purposes of testing the file. The final files need to not have the 'Playback control'.
Does anyone know what I can do differently, to ensure the click boxes work on this site in question?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question. You seem to be saying a Click Box isn't working. But you say the "Click Box within the Flash File". I'm not sure if this means you have used Flash to create a button or something that you are trying to use with Captivate or if you simply mean that you have used Captivate to create a SWF, and inside that SWF the Click Box doesn't seem to work.
What would be helpful is if we could see the project first hand. Are you able to post the .CP file for us to download and view? If that's not possible, what about posting a screen capture of the slide with the issue where we can see the entire timeline and all objects.

I bought Numbers because my Excel files would not work with Mavericks. How can I import a non-functioning Excel file into numbers? (As of now, the file NAME transfers but data does not.)

I'm surprised you get no message when you attempt opening the Excel document in Numbers.
I'm assuming Numbers 3.1, since you are running Mavericks.
Does the Numbers file that opens show any content?
Does it contain a table?
How large?
Does it contain more than one tab (indicating more than one sheet)?
Do those other tabs contain a table?
Have you checked those tables for data content?
There have been cases in the past of imported documents opening with white text on a white background, giving the appearance of containing nothing. Check for this by selecting a block of cells, then applying a Fill colour or a Text colour using the Format button (paintbrush).
I'd also suggest attempting to open the Excel files using LibreOffice, which can be downloaded from the linked website.

.jar file is not working properly :developed in NETBEANS

i am developing a project that interacts with databases 10g and COM ports of machine , these all processes are performed by .bat file which i am trying to run from jFramform , code works perfectly .bat file is also called perfectly when i run the project using F6 from the NETBEANS, for testing i placed some dialogue boxes on the form to test it ,
but when i run executable .jar file , form run successfully and dialogue box works perfectly but .bat file is not called by executable .jar file.
this is how i call the .bat file...

you must probably ask why i am calling a .jar file using .bat file .
reason is that this .jar project sends message using GSM mobile , System.exit(); is compulsory to complete a job and then do the next one ,
if i use the same file to execute this job it makes exit to entire the application (hope you can understand my logic).
that's why i use extra .jar file in .bat file , when single job is completed .bat exits itself and new command is given.
Problem is that code is working perfectly in NETBEANS when i run the project but when i run .jar then .bat file is not working ,

Adobe download assistant will not work on my machine?
Adobe download assistant will not work on my machine. When i try to start it i get a message saying "Sorry an error has occurred. This application cannot be installed because this installer has been mis-configured. Please contact the application author for assistance." Any ideas what to do
Are you using Mac OS? If so please try removing the Adobe Download Assistant from your Applications folder and try again. This issue is documented in the Known Issues section of Troubleshoot Adobe Download Assistant - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-download-assistant.html.

File- Export not working after upgrade from 11i to R12

File -> Export not working after upgrade from 11i to R12.1.3 in few systems. Can you please let me know what could be the issue.
If export record count more than 200 it is working fine in all the systems and if change the profile option "Export MIME type” value to ‘text/tab-separated-values’ from application/excel also it is wokring.
