Hi we have a unity connection 8.x customer that want to use Cisco pca and the Inbox feature to play messages on a GUI but not have the option to save the message locally . See attached , they don't want to be able to download the raw file (appreciate that this is browser function i.e the save as)

By default, except for messages that are marked private, secure, or private and secure, users can save their messages as WAV files to their hard disks by using the Save Recording As option, available on the Media Master Options menu in the Cisco Unity Connection 8.0 Messaging Inbox. You can prevent users from saving any voice message—regardless of its sensitivity—by disabling the Save Recording As option on the Options menu of the Media Master in the Messaging Inbox.
Note the following as you consider this security option:
•When you prevent users from by saving messages to their hard disks, they may choose to retain them in their Inboxes and Deleted Items folders longer as a way of archiving them.
•Disabling the Save Recording As option affects all users who are associated with the Connection server; you cannot disable it only for individual users.
•Users can continue to use the Media Master to save greetings or recorded names as WAV files.
To Disable the Save Recording As Option in the Media Master in the Cisco Unity Connection 8.0 Messaging Inbox
Step 1 In Cisco Unity Connection Administration, expand System Settings > Advanced, then select PCA.
Step 2 On the PCA Configuration page, check the Unity Inbox: Disable Save Recording As Option in Media Master check box.
Step 3 Select Save.

Hi,
the feature works fine in the mailbox of the user but not from within the exchange personal archive.
Instead the reply is saved in the send items folder of the mailbox.
Any suggestions how to make this work?

AFAIK, that is how it is intended to work. The archive is considered as "old-emails" so the newly created reply doesn't fall within that category.
Contact Microsoft Support by phone to submit it as a bug when it is "unexpected behavior" from your point of view or otherwise as a feature request/design change.

AppleScript To Save Messages As PDFs With Specific Naming Convention

I am looking for an Applescript that:
1: Prompts and allows the user to select one or more Apple Mail email messages from within Mail (10.4, 10.5, 10.6).
2: Prompts and allows the user to select a save-to folder.
3: For each message, saves it as a PDF file in the save-to folder, using the following naming convention for the PDF file:
"YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS Email From FIRSTNAME LASTNAME - SUBJECT",
"YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS Email To FIRSTNAME LASTNAME - SUBJECT",
where in the email date-sent stamp (if I am the sender) or date-received stamp (if I am the recipient):
YYYY = the year
MM = the two-digit month
DD = the two-digit day
HH = the two-digit hour (in 24-hour time)
MM = the two-digit minute
SS = the two-digit second
FIRSTNAME is the email sender's first name for email that I receive (or is the email recipient's first name for email that I send)
LASTNAME is the email sender's last name for email that I receive (or is the email recipient's first name for email that I send)
SUBJECT = the email's subject line
For example: 2010-04-10 16.32.48 Email From Kris Ryan - Status Of Payroll Updates.pdf
For example: 2010-04-10 16.33.55 Email To Sue Anderson - RE Status Of Payroll Updates.pdf (Colon omitted after "RE".)
4: For each attachment to the message, saves it as a PDF file in the same directory using the naming convention:

YYYY-MM-DD HH.MM.SS Email From FIRSTNAME LASTNAME = as above
NUMBER = an integer representing the attachment number (1, 2, ...) sorted according to filename alphabetical order
FILENAME = the name of the file attached to the email, including its extension (.docx, .xlsx, etc.)
The letter "Z" sorts the attachment PDFs after its respective parent email in the directory.

1. Make your iMessage settings.
2. Change your friends phone number on contacts property of iPhone(not work, home, mobile). if you know his icloud account you can use this too.
3. Use iMessage while messagging with him.
When you open chat with him in sms menu there writes iMessage. and messages shows color of blue.

since I got the same problem as pdfprincess I hope you can help me. The 'Automatically save document changes to temporary file...' is enabled in my adobe reader.
A file I worked (commented) on a lot crashed. When I reopened the file, adobe reader didn't ask if I want to restore my changes in this file, as it is written on the help.adobe.com page. Is there any possibility to restore the changes manually from the temporary file?

when i add some attribute in tab ( A )and without saving , if i changed to another tab ( B ), then , the save message dialog box appears in tab B, it has to appear in tab A, then after user confirmation, tab has to changed... bt, in my application as the save message appears, tab is also changed.....

You can try making the Date Field in Item Details and Requisitioner as Mandatory if it serves your purpose for the situation - I .
Please check the following :
SPRO>IMG>MM>Purchasing>Purchase Requisition>
Click on Define Screen Layout at Document Level
Highlight the Document Type
Go to Details and click on Deadline Monitoring
Check the Date as Required Entry for Requisition, Delivery & Release Date.
( The user will need to Enter Release Date Manually)
Similarly this can be maintained for RFQ and PO as well.
This will give you the Tracking of the Processing Time with respective dates.

Help with the open/save message box

Hi everyone, I have a link to a PDF on my website and I need it to open in browser. Right now it always comes up with the open/save message box.
This is no good because I need to embed a direct page link (ie #page=9), and the open/save message box removes the page variable and opens to page one.
It's strange because I have two PDF links on this particular page and while one works fine (and opens in browser) the other constantly prompts with open/ save.
Suggestions? I've already gone into the PDF preferences and set it to "Open PDF in Browser"... this does not help.

Well - Yes --- and No. When I try to re-save a document or use the new Save As... implementation I am generally offered my Mac. But - If I create a New document and then use Cmd-S I am taken back to the iCloud Save window with the disclosure triangle closed. I am seeing this in TextEdit and Preview, but I have not checked all my document creator applications to see if the protocol is across the board.)
(Note - the "On My Mac" button is only available in the OPEN Dialog - not the SAVE Dialogs.)

Zoom will enlarge anything on the screen, simply double tap with three fingers.
To turn Zoom on/off go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom.
Large text may also work for you.
Settings > General > Accessibility > Large text. Select the font size that works best for you.
Printing or accessing text messages via the computer is not support. Google it and you will find options.
You can also copy and past the content into an email to send to yourself. Then that email could be printed out.

A strange "cannot save" message keeps occurring in Pages

A strange "cannot save" message keeps occurring in Pages since the Mavericks/Pages 9 update.
"The document “08-13-31 Kobayashi Japonisme_captions.pages” could not be saved. The file has been changed by another application."
AFAIK, no other application has changed the file.
I click override and save the thing and all seems to be well, but it is very, very disconcerting.

Meanwhile it probably is best to continue using Pages '09 if that is possible and if you are unhappy with Pages 5 give it a review and rating in the App Store.

N97 - Can't open Inbox in Messages due to "Memory ...

The Mass memory still has a few free gigabytes while the Phone memory is also far from clogged up. However, despite this, this morning I have discovered that I cannot open my Inbox in Messages: I keep getting the "Memory full. Close some applications and try again" (or something to that effect) error. There are no open applications (other than the interminable "Home" and "Menu"). I keep rebooting the phone but this isn't helping. I've also tried to delete a couple of SIM phonebook contacts and rebooting again, and this too has not solved the problem.
This thing is driving me crazy; I would appreciate some help.

It was set at 30 - at the time i had 19 in inbox and none in outbox as cleared it. Set the messages to 999, removed accu and fb, rebooted and all appears fine now

Save message on Navigating Record

Dear All
When we execute query on a master detail form. All records are executed. When we press down arrow key on master level to navigate to the next record, we get a prompt message "Do You want to save the changes you have made".
How can this prompt be suppressed.
"DBMS Message Level" does not work here.

You probably have a post-query trigger running on either the Master or the detail block that is setting a value -- even to null -- for an item in the block. You should NOT change any base-table values in post-query. And even if you set non-base-table fields, while doing that does not set the record status to CHANGED, it does cause all the validation triggers in the block to run during the query process on each record. And in one of them, you have some code that is setting a value of a base-table field, which causes the record status = CHANGED.
And then you get the "Do you want to save" message.
I often put this at the top of my when-validate-item and when-validate-record triggers:
If :System.Mode='QUERY'
Or :System.Record_status = 'NEW' then
Return;
End if;The above causes the validation process to exit during the querying and fetching of records into your block.

Error trying to save message to outbox

Am not able to email photos. Get a "error trying to save message to outbox" message. I am running PSE6, have established my aol email address and received the code from adobe. When I use adobe email to send a picture, I get the error message.
