Change of existing assets class description

Hi Friends,
I have a query and the details are given below:
We intend to change the existing assets class description.
Is it possible!
What is the impact of such changes?
As per my observation / opinion, we cannot change the asset class description after configuring the account determination and the other transactions were carried out.
Is it correct? Can any one advise me pls.

Asset classes have some default parameters.
Description can be changed any time.
This data is at header level and does not impact transactions.
You should be able to change it.
See if you can change the description at table level, check Table ANKT or ANKA

Class to Class Allocation Table

Hi,
I've assigned a class to another class to create a hierarchical structure. Which table can I find this allocations? For example, both classes B and C are assigned to class A creating a hierarchy. But in which table this assignment is stored?
Please advice.

solved by myself.
also if there's port 8084 configured on server properties, jboss start using 8080 (maybe i've done some error while registering jboss, i dunno but i'm a newbye of eclipse). So changing port to 8080 in server properties for jboss solve the problem.

Table JAVA$CLASS$MD5$TABLE is not created by loadjava

When loading a class using loadjava, the table JAVA$CLASS$MD5$TABLE is not created (in the schema where the class is loaded) by the loadjava tool although it should do this according to the doc. Where is this table located?
The class loads successfully and is skipped when loading a second time. The force option is not used.
Version is: Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit

IN order for a registered schema to be available to other users the schema must be registered as a GLOBAL, rather than a LOCAL Schema. This is controlled by the third agument passed to registerSChema, and the default is local. Note that you will also need to explicity grant appropriate permissions on any tables created by the schema registration process to other users who will be loading or reading data from these tables.

Hi Faisal,
Just to correct you it's "Methods of Global Persistent Classes".
Not to hide my ignorance in OOPs, but i don't think persistent classes should be used for mundane selects. It's much easier to write, maintain & troubleshoot a select construct than a persistent class

GRC AC 10 Role Detailed Description - Table

We are trying to find the Table in GRC that holds the Detailed Description of a Role. The information we want to find in found on the following screen
Additional Details -> Detailed Description when you build a role.
We want to export/extract this data into a BW table for a custom report.

It is based on SAP standard long texts which are stored in a cluster and not a table, not sure what this means but hope it helps

[Class] Description of an attribute

Hi all,
Is there a FM or class to retrieve the description associated to an attribute of an ABAP class (SE24) ?
Usually, when created, it is defaulted to the description of the underlying type by it can be overwritten.
For the moment, I simply perform a SELECT in SEOCOMPOTX and it gives me the right description but if someone has a solution that would better suit the best practises, I'll take it !

The CL_OO_OBJECT class and method GET_ATTRIBUTES seemed promising but, strangely, the description is not filled in the returning parameter.. (??)
Finally, I found that the FM 'SEO_ATTRIBUTE_GET' or 'SEO_COMPONENT_GET' fits well!
For people willing to specify a particular language for the description, the FM 'SEO_ATTRIBUTE_READ_ALL' is best suited. Nevertheless, it comes with the whole lot of attributes of the class...

CSS Class for Table Cell Text

When we were using messageStlyedText in a table region, it was shriking multiple whitespaces to a single whitespace. To solve the problem we are planning to use "rawText" with <pre> tag. But we are not able to specify the default CSS class for a table cell text. Can you please let us know the CSS class to use so that even if we use rawText UI(font, size etc) is similar to adjacent messageStlyedText columns ?
Note: We are not using formattedText because it is not allowing to add prompt.

Populating T001T (Company Code Long Description) table

Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can help me as to how to populate T001T table. Below is what I did:
> SM30
> V_T001T
> Enter Company Code
> Enter Name of Standard Text
> Enter Text Usage (Company Code Long Description)
> Press Enter
Once I press 'Enter', the Company Code in the Company Code column becomes blank. Do you know as to why this happens?!? I feel like I'm missing some sort of configuration or something.

I was looking at the where-used for this table and all I see is that it is used in some sample table maintenance code.
So my question is what are you using this for, just trying out, or for some real business need? Since it is not used by SAP for any purpose, I don't know what is the purpose of maintaining it.
