Class file is being deleted on compiling

Hi,
I am new to this forum. I am having problem compiling my code. I have imported a package and when I compile the source code the class file from the package gets deleted and compiler gives me error that noClassDeff found.Could anyone please help me. I would highly appreciate it.
I have to submit this assignment in 3 days time.

Thanks for replying
the code is:
import aston.net.DatagramMessage;
import java.io.*;
import java.util.*;
import java.net.*;
public class TCPclient
public static void main(String args[])
try
{I
netAddress duke = InetAddress.getByName("127.0.0.1");
DatagramMessage one=new DatagramMessage("here",duke,9001);
TCPclient.sendString("127.0.0.1", 9001);
catch (UnknownHostException ex) {
System.err.println(ex);
the error i get is:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: aston/net/DatagramMessage
     at TCPclient.main(TCPclient.java:81)
the code for DataMessage is:
package aston.net;
import java.net.InetAddress;
* A class to use with MyServerDatagramSocket for
* returning a message and the sender's address
* @author M. L. Liu
public class DatagramMessage{
private String message;
private InetAddress senderAddress;
private int senderPort;
public DatagramMessage(String message, InetAddress addr, int port) {
this.message = message;
this.senderAddress = addr;
this.senderPort = port;
public String getMessage( ) {
return this.message;
public InetAddress getAddress( ) {
return this.senderAddress;
public int getPort( ) {
return this.senderPort;
} // end class
The DatagramMessage compiles and Class file is created but when i use it in TCPClient the class file gets deleted.
I am using JBuilder and OS is windows XP

  • Protect DLL Files from being deleted or unregistered

    I am looking for a way to protect a DLL file from being deleted or unregistered.
    My users have an application that uses the same DLL files as another application. This is in a test environment, so when they are uninstalled they step on each other by deleting or un-registering the DLLs.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    These apps are designed to delete the DLL file in uninstallation process. You can test to Deny the Delete permission on the DLL file as a test but it may cause a new issue that application think they failed to uninstall itself clearly as the DLL file cannot
    be deleted. Just have a try on Deny Delete permission in NTFS security.

  • AVHD files not being deleted by Hyper-V when DPM backs up virtual machines

    Hi,
    I understand DPM uses checkpoints to backup Hyper-V virtual machines.
    We have seen a few instances whereby the AVHD files that are created at the time DPM backs up the VM are not being deleted on the CSV disk.
    There are no checkpoints associated with the virtual machine in Hyper-V settings.
    We did delete one of these AVHD files on a non-production system and it was successful, the AVHD files are not being used by the virtual machine.
    Is it safe to delete these AVHD files? Anyone experienced anything similar?
    Microsoft Partner

    Hi
    Could you please let su know if you have acrried out any ILR operations?
    When you recover a VHD of a virtual machine that has Hyper-V snapshots, .avhd files are not displayed in the
    Recoverable Items pane, but DPM recovers the parent VHD and all the associated .avhd files.
    Just want to confirm that these avhd files are not coresponding to recovery process.

  • DFSR - Deleted files not being deleted on remote servers

    Hi All,
    I have a central file server replicating its data to 2 remote files servers with read only shares.
    When a file is deleted on the central server, the files are not being deleted on the remote servers. New files on the central server are replicating fine.
    Why is this and how do I fix it?
    Thanks Christoph

    Hi Christoph,
    Can you provide "delete" permission on remote share and see if it works?
    Thanks,

  • SCCM 2012 CU3 / WSUS - Update files are being deleted

    We have been running this configuration since April of last year and haven't had any problems.
    The problem is a majority of the window/security updates files in the WSUSContent folder are missing.  I have ran wsusutil /reset and it takes a day or so but it will successfully download the 80GB of missing files.  But after a few days they are
    once again missing.  We do run our EPP updates through WSUS and we have no problems with those.
    I have searched endlessly through the log files, I can see where it goes through and skips them due to being superseded.
    Do not see any database or communication issues between SCCM and WSUS, per the wsyncmgr.log it sees the thousands of that are available from our WSUS server.
    So, any suggestions as to what might be causing the update files to be deleted from the WSUSContent folder?
    We are running this on:
    Server 2012 / SCCM 2012 CU3 / WSUS for 2012

    So, just to make sure I understand.  Is that we should be deploying updates from the SCCM Configmgr?
    If you want to use the integrate experience, then yes.
    but the problem is that a majority of updates are showing Downloaded = No when looking under All Software Updates
    You need to either manually initiate the download of updates or set up an Automatic Deployment Rule (ADR). Either will cause ConfigMgr to download the updates placing them into an update package (which in turn gets placed on a DP where the clients can access
    and download the updates).
    wsynclog shows the sync of the update catalog, i.e., the metadata, and not the actual update binaries.

  • Any trouble in running .class files in separate location to compilation

    Hi there,
    Do you know if it is possible, easy to run a .class file in a location completely separate to where it was compiled.
    Example, I compile my Java program in c:\myprogs ... here the file can see all the .jar files etc it needs.
    But I want to run the .class file from e:\runprogs, a server location which does not allow the compiled java program to see the .jar files etc it needed for compilation?
    Will there be any trouble in running the .class file. Does the .class file still need to see .jar files files etc during execution?
    ????

    Java classes are dynamically linked, so any jars required for compiling still need to be visible to use the classes. Ensure the JARs are on the appropriate classpath.

  • Files not being deleted after a move

    In Elements Organizer, I move files (photo albums) to an external hard disk and I confirm that I want to have the files deleted from the C disk.  The files all get moved ok, but none of them get deleted from the C disk.  I'm afraid to just delete the C disk folder, or its contents, because I don't know what will happen.  I followed the basic little procedure in Organizer; I don't think I did anything wrong.  When the move(s) were completed i got a message from Organizer warning me that the files had been deleted and to keep track of where they went.  Can anyone straighten me out?
    Additionally, I don't know how to follow-up on this, how to get back to this Discussion once I sign off...  ( I have Windows Vista Home Premium)
    Thanks,
    Norm.

  • How to protect class files from being decompiled?

    any ideas
    guide me

    You may consider looking into Java native compilers.
    I'm referring to compilers that take existing Java
    code and convert them into native executables rather
    than class files which are interpreted.yeah... kills portability too.

  • SWF File not being generated by compiler

    I am using Flash Builder 4.5.
    One of the modules that compiles without error is still not being bound into the runtime image (in this case debug).
    There are no compiler errors (auto build is switched ON) but a swf file is not being generated.
    I have tried removing the reference to the module in the Project ->Properties->Modules window and then adding it back in to no avail.
    This was working up until I made a change to the module in question and then saved it.

    I would check all imported images in the library. If you cannot see the image in your library preview; there is a good chance that there is an issue and it will need to be reimported.

  • App or podcast downloaded to iphone is deleted from iphone and transferred to iTunes 11.  How can I keep the file from being deleted from the iPhone?

    I recently updated iTunes from version 10.x to 11.  In version 10, I could download a podcast or an app to my iPhone from the app store, then the app or podcast would co COPIED to iTunes during a sync.  Now with version 11, when I sync, the app or podcast is deleted from my iPhone and MOVED to iTunes.  How can I get back the old feature of making a copy?  This is a very dumb thing that happens in iTunes and I can not believe that I am the only one to complain abou this.  Please help me.  What do I need to change in iTunes to keep my copy on the iPhone.
    Thanks to all you geniouses out there!

    Not 100% sure of your question.  If you are wanting to delete apps from itunes just right click then delete then empty recycle bin.

  • HT1338 how do i update my macbook pro from 10.5.8 to the latest software? also please let me know what do i have to do to save my files from being deleted when updating? thank you

    how do i update my macbook pro from 10.5.8 to the latest software?

    First you have to purchase Snow Leopard, 10.6, from the Apple on-line store for $20.  Install and on-line software update from the disk version to the last of the line, 10.6.8.
    Then determine if you can go to Mountain Lion, http://www.apple.com/osx/specs and if you can go to the App Store and purchase for $20 the download of 10.8.3.
    If you cannot go to ML, see if you can go to Lion, 10.7.5, do you have an Intel Core 2 Duo, i3, i5, i7 or Xeon processor at least 2 GB ram and 7 GB free hard drive space.  If so you can purchase a download code for Lion from 1-800-MY-APPLE for $20.
    If you can use Mountain Lion, skip the Lion step and go directly to ML.

  • Java 6 upgrade -- ant replicating class files on compilation

    On upgradation to java 6 , ant seems to replicated class files
    which have already been compiled into jars (which i have mentioned in classpath).
    This is the ant script
    <javac srcdir="src" destdir="/WEB-INF/classes" classpath="${library.jar}" deprecation="on" debug="true">
    <classpath refid="library.classpath"/>
         <include name="com/test1/webapp/common/**/*.java"/>
    </javac>
    library.classpath contains path to library.jar
    The above script works perfectly for java 5 but not for java 6.
    The problem is that classes in the folder com/test1 are getting recompiled to WEB-INF/classes, when the classes were already in compiled to library.jar (which is in classpath).
    Is there a solution to this problem?

    This is the code that I have written:
    public class Board extends JApplet
         JPanel p[][];
         public void init()
         try{
         SwingUtilities.invokeAndWait(new Runnable()
              public void run()
                        makeGUI(8,8);
         }catch(InterruptedException e){e.printStackTrace();}
         catch(InvocationTargetException e){e.printStackTrace();}
    /* Board*/
    private void makeGUI(int rows, int cols)
        p = new JPanel[rows][cols];
        Container contentPane = getContentPane();
        contentPane.setLayout(new GridLayout(rows, cols));
        for (int i = 0; i < rows; i++)
          for (int j = 0; j < cols; j++)
            p[i][j] = new JPanel();
            contentPane.add(p[i][j]);
            if (i % 2 == j % 2)
              p[i][j].setBackground(Color.white);
              else
              p[i][j].setBackground(Color.darkGray);
    In this which one is inner class?

  • Error while De-Compiling class files

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing one issue.
    While de-compiling class files, Some of the class files are not getting de-compiled correctly. When I open de-compiled Java file, the code is with errors where some of the code lines are not in proper form.
    I have experienced this with couple of times now. I am using JAD as a tool.
    Please help.
    Thanks,

    Well, unless you put a sample of error, how do you expect any solution?--Shiv

  • Than how can i get java class by using it's class file?

    Hi
    After compilation of a java program, it creates a class file.
    After getting class file suppose class file has been deleted.
    Than how can i get java class by using it's class file?
    Thanks in advance.

    get a decompiler and run your class file through it--I'll assume you want the source code back and that you are not trying to recover a missing class file by attempting to use the class file that is missing--if it's missing, then I've not a clue on how to get it back by using what is already missing.
    BTW: many of your compilers have source control--if it does, just restore your missing file.
