  • Java.rmi.UnmarshalException: skeleton class not found but required for clie

    Hello everyone,
    I am new to RMI and getting a strange exception. I am using Java 1.5.0_07 both on client and server. They are running on the same machine, the rmi registry is started inside the server application.
    I am wondering why java complains about skeletons, I thought they are automatically created when using java 5.0?
    Please have a look at the stacktrace below.
    Thank you for your help.

    Hi,
    I resolved the problem by making spring.jar part of my executable jar file. I have added oimclient.jar, spring.jar, wlfullclient.jar, commons-logging.jar, and eclipselink.jar part of my executable jar. Now I am getting the error below. I googled it and it mentioned that i should add path of authwl.conf in my run configuration in eclipse. So i added the following line in " -Djava.security.auth.login.config=/u01/oracle/Middleware/Oracle_IDM1/server/CustomExec/authwl.conf " under the VM Arguments section of run configuration, but it continues to give the same error.

  • Problem with ejbs in Netweaver 2004s-Class not found exception

    Hello,
    I have a webdynpro project(Newtweaver 2004s)  referring to a stateless session bean. I created an ejb and defined two public parts - part 1 contains EJB components and part 2 contains some Exception classes I refer to in my webdynpro project. I added these parts to my webdynpro project as dependencies for compile and runtime. I am able to compile and deploy the webdynpro project without any issue but I get runtime errors saying the following:

    I did not have any issues when the code was running on Netweaver 2004 but now it does not seem to work when I migrated to 2004s. Can anyone please advice me on what the problem might be ?
    Thanks,

    Hi Harsha,
    Thanks for your quick reply.
    Trying to figure it out by comparing JRE versions but still no result. I have found one problem is that
    when Gantt is loaded , Java in control panel loads all the Applets requried in to its Resources.
    These Resources are missing for the user for whom the Gantt error is produced.
    Loaded Resources can be found in the below Path :
    ControlPanel -> Java-> General Tab -> View Button -> select Resources in Show .
    So, How to load these resources ??? . Is there any setting to do that ???

  • Class Not Found in Server Application

    I have set up a basic server application. It contains three files namely
    Arith.java (implements the Remote interface)
    ArithImpl.java (implements Arith.java the server) and
    ArithApp.java which is the client Application
    All of these are in the same package. I have compiled all of these files and I execute the rmic ArithImpl command from within the ArithImpl.java file via Runtime.getRuntime.exec(...);
    The stub and skeleton files are generated and still I get a class not found exception. I have checked the class path and these files are within the class path.

  • Class not found in applet using 2 jar files

    I have an applet which has been working for years as a stand alone or connecting directly to a derby database on my home server. I have just changed it to connect to MySQL on my ISP server via AJAX and PHP.
    I am now getting a class not found error in my browser, probably because I'm stuffing up the class path.
    The HTML I am using to call the applet is:
    <applet code="AMJApp.class"
    codebase="http://www.interactived.com/JMTalpha"
    archive="AMJ014.jar,plugin.jar"
    width="500"height="500"
    MAYSCRIPT style="border-width:0;"
    name="jsap" id="jsap"></applet>The AMJ014.jar contains the applet and supporting class files.
    The error message is strange to me because it refers to a class I noticed on another web page but which has nothing to do with my applet. Anyway, the message in full is:

    }

    That's a remote exception coming from the registry. You need to learn to recognize remote exceptions and their source, it's a mjaor source of confusion in RMI.
    In this case it's the registry that can't find the stub class.
    The stub class needs to be in the CLASSPATH of (i) the Registry and (ii) the client as well. Ditto the remote interface; ditto any application classes it refers to, and so on until closure.
    The easiest way to achieve (i) is to start it in the server's JVM, with LocateRegistry.createRegistry().

  • Interesting Class Not Found Exception on Client Side of RMI

    I am having trouble getting my client to start up using RMI. I am running my server on a linux platform and everything seems to be starting up just fine. Here is how I start the server:
    WEBSITE=/home/ian/html
    SOFTWARE=/home/ian/software
    java -ea \
    -cp $WEBSITE/BNS/classes/ \
    -Djava.rmi.server.codebase=http://1.paturi.usher.ucsdsys.net/BNS/classes/ \
    -Djava.security.policy=/home/ian/software/BNS/RMI.policy \
    -DPREP=$SOFTWARE/prepped \
    -DARCH=$SOFTWARE/output \
    BNS.plumbing.Server $WEBSITE is my Apache Server home folder, which is running. However, now I move to a Windows machine and run IE or Firefox. I navigate to the Apache server and it comes up. Yet, when I try to logon to a client it tells me that the client is not inited.
    Opening the Java Console reveals this error:
    load: class BNS.plumbing.Client.class not found.

    BNS.plumbing.Client is not a Stub method. I have a ClientLiason class which provides the stub and it does not seem to have problem there. Also, when I simply navigate to [http://1.paturi.usher.ucsdsys.net/BNS/classes/BNS/plumbing/] the Client.class file is clearly there waiting to be used.
    Here is what I run when starting server side to get the RMIRegistry (which has been started without a problem):
    SessionHost sh = new SessionHost();
    System.err.println("created an instance of "+ sh.getClass()+" as server");
    Registry reg= LocateRegistry.getRegistry();
    System.out.println(reg);
    reg.rebind(Constants.serviceName, sh);
    System.out.println(reg);
    System.err.println(Constants.serviceName+" server ready.");I have played around with the Registry reg=LocateRegistry.getRegistry() line in particular. I have tried passing in "localhost" and "1.paturi.usher.ucsdsys.net" but all to no avail. Then latter is linux machine that I am using. It is a cluster server at UCSD. In order to access it I must first ssh into a UCSD machine and from there ssh into my machine (this is because it is not a full-fledged ip address, but part of UCSD's domain). I think this might have something to do with the trouble I have accessing the class file when I tried to get at them through a browser directed to my Apache Server.
    I am not the greatest network guy, I know a lot more about programming and I am at my wits end here. I have searched everything I can think of, with little success. If anybody has any ideas or can even point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
    Ian

    I think your codebase annotation is being lost because Client.class is on the CLASSPATH of the Registry. There are two solutions:
    1. Start the rmiregistry command in a directory other than the root of the package structure, e.g. /.
    2. Use LocateRegistry.createRegistry() instead of getRegistry() in the server, and don't start the rmiregistry command at all.

    what would the possible reason for that and how can i come out of it..

    the reason: the class is not in the classpath. Or the project's runtime classpath.
    Make sure it's added to the build path and if necessary exported all the way to your JUnit project.

    please someone do help me out i m in a great fix,
    thanks in advance..,

    at last managed to run the program in stand alone mode without eclipse [:)]
    the problem was that for swt there is a need of a dll file,
    you can get that file from the swt jar that you are using in your application and place it in the root directory of the project, test it by running your app from your eclipse ide as a java application but not as an swt application,
    the dll file should look like: swt-win32-3138.dll the version no. may vary,
    if the app works fine then go to the next step,
    create a META-INF folder in your root directory and place your MANIFEST.MF in it, now one more imp part comes here
    give your class path before the main class or else it will remove the class path line when the jar will be created.
    if your main class is in some package and thats why giving you a problem then create a simple class in the default package something as launch and call the main method of your entry class from it, the launch class will also be created in the root directory
    now the last thing while giving the path where the jar have to be created give the root directory path only and use the manifest that we created and dont use the generate manifest option
    now after doing all this double click the jar file and your app will run
    P.S. this is not the full way but i have only mentioned the critical part where basically i stuck, so follow these steps and also refer to some other tutorial where there is the full method
    http://www.devx.com/Java/Article/30287/1954?pf=true
    refer to this link also you will understand everything,
