If you are having a cluster, make sure all the servers are on the same set
          of service packs.

  • Error at weblogic.servlet.internal.session.SessionData. init

I am using weblogic server 6.1sp2 , weblogic can start sucessful , and can work for

              at weblogic.servlet.internal.session.MemorySessionData.<init>
I have been distressed about this for serval days , need your help much.
              thanks.

Since the line numbers are not there in your stack trace and there is very
              little info
I am not 100% sure what the problem is. But my guess is that this is the
              same
problem as reported in a bug#CR064294. Please ask support for a one off
              patch
for this with this CR# as reference. If that doesn't solve the problem let
              us know.
The fix for CR064294 will be available with 610 SP3.
              Thanks,

Stubs in WLS are generated dynamically these days, and I guess that they are meant to
be network classloaded - change your applet codebase to load from WebLogic.
You can see that this class is there by pointing your browser to
    http://localhost:7001/classes/weblogic/jndi/internal/ServerNamingNode_WLStub.class

  • Java.lang.ClassCastException in WebLogic 10.3.3 after recompile

While editing some code a developer noticed this error after a recompile in Weblogic 10.3.3. And the underlying object is a DimensionLabel. And we tried this in Weblogic 9.2 and it works fine with no exception. The developer simply recompiled the class calling the DimensionLabel the SearchServiceProcessor and reran the application.

    Thanks, Tom
    PS
    Here is my code :
    DimensionLabel dimLabel = (DimensionLabel);
    dimensionLabel.get(currentDimension.getName());
currentRefinementDimension = new Refinement(); // Exception here
    currentRefinementDimension.setExpanded(true);
I debugged into the code and the hashtable dimensionLabel has a DimensionLabel in it.

    Hi,
Please make sure that there is no other version of *"net.nrj.alf.DimensionLabel"* class present in any other Class Loader
There are various kind of Class Loaders : PreMordial Class Loader, BootStrap ClassLoader, System Class Loader (WebLogic ClassLoader), Application ClassLoader, Module Class Loader....
net.nrj.service.SearchServiceProcessor java.lang.ClassCastException: net.nrj.alf.DimensionLabel java.lang.ClassCastException: net.nrj.alf.DimensionLabel If your code is working fine in WLS9.2 it means in WLS10.3.3 the same class is getting loaded from different Class Loaders...In order to find out which classLoader is being used to load that class please do the following:
    <b><font color=maroon>
    Class dimentionLevel=Class.forName("net.nrj.alf.DimensionLabel")
    ClassLoader cl=dimentionLevel.getClassLoader();
    System.out.println("\n\n\t DimentionLevel is loaded from ClassLoader: "+cl);
    </font></b>
Above 3 Lines of code you need to write for "net.nrj.service.SearchServiceProcessor" class as well...Because i suspect that these two classes are getting loaded from two different class Loaders.
If the Application Code is 100% correct The Main reason of ClassCastException is Classes are getting Loaded from two Different Class Loaders. You can also look at the Filtering ClassLoader Feature of WebLogic to Tell WebLogic to Load some Classes from a Specific ClassLoaders...As described Here .*http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?page_id=192*

  • SAX2 class weblogic.xml.jaxp.RegistryXMLReader does not imp. XMLReader

    Hey,
I'm currently facing some issues while deploying a Spring Webservice on WebLogic 10.3. The Webservice requires a Xerces Sax2 Parser, but the default implementation of weblogic doesn't seem to implement all necessary classes. I already tried to set up a XMLRegistry, but without any success.
I'm running the webservice on a server besides the AdminServer.

    Hey,
I'm currently facing some issues while deploying a Spring Webservice on WebLogic 10.3. The Webservice requires a Xerces Sax2 Parser, but the default implementation of weblogic doesn't seem to implement all necessary classes. I already tried to set up a XMLRegistry, but without any success.
I'm running the webservice on a server besides the AdminServer.

              Hi
I registered a web app with Weblogic 5.1 in the weblogic.properties file. I try
to run the web app from my browser typing http://localhost:7001/xxx(Webapp name)
and a jsp page. Following is the error I get. It would be helpful if some one
could point me to a fix for this problem

Sorry, I didn't look very closely - the exception is for
              javax.servlet.ServletConfig - should be in weblogicaux.jar.
Is there anything wrong with it? What service pack are you
using? Could be a problem with weblogic.policy.

  • Java.io.NotSerializableException: weblogic.ejb20.internal.EntityEJBContextImpl

    Hi,
We are currently in the process of moving from Weblogic 6.1 SP5 and
Toplink 3.6.3 to Weblogic 8.1 SP2 and Toplink 9.0.4 and during some test
I have seen a "scaring" stack trace. It seems that, for some reason, a
thing that "uses to work" failed with a very strange error. I tried to
reproduce it but without any success. Besides asking if anybody knows
what could have caused this error I would like to know what the "not
serializable" object is. Is it the EntityEJBContext?

    Source)
In case it could share some light in the case I will explain a bit what
does the process intended to do:
The general idea is that, given some data (managed with Toplink's 9.0.4
CMP) we take a XML "snapshot" of them (via a custom OBJ2XML class that
has been working for ages without any problem) and "publish" it via JMS
in order to perform asyncronous actions with it. I'm sure this is a,
more than usual, scenario for a lot of folks.
As it seems looking at the stack at some point during some internal
object serialization it fails and rollbacks all the process. The object
being serialized by our side only contains four attributes: a
    java.math.BigDecimal for it's primary key, a java.util.Date for
timestamp locking and two simple java.lang.String's
Although I'm pretty sure the problem should not be with the entity bean
itself but with an internal Weblogic op (is it trying to serialize the
EntityBeanContext as stated after the java.io.NotSerializableException
    message?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated as I have no clue how
this happened and I'm also unable to reproduce it (I'm also sure if I
managed to trigger it testing the application alone it will rise many
more times that could be admited if we move to production).
I would like to point also that currently until we have some more time
to fix it we are using "remote" entity bean, I mean even if we are alway
s calling them within the container they are not deployed with "local"
interfaces yet (although AFAIK Weblogic should avoid RMI calls on them
being co-located with the session beans).
    Regards.
    Ignacio.

    Ignacio,
6.1 used pass-by-reference by default, so parameters to beans were
    passed by reference.
It's very likely that you are getting this error because in 8.1 this default
was turned off. This causes serialization of parameters by default and
that's why your code that worked started failing - you just did not know
that you were passing non-serializable objects around.
To fix this you could either turn on the pass-by-reference explicitly and/or
find out where your code is passing non-serializable objects. This is a useful
    exercise anyways.
    Hope this helps.

reproduce it but without any success. Besides asking if anybody knows
what could have caused this error I would like to know what the "not
serializable" object is. Is it the EntityEJBContext?

    Regards.
    Ignacio.

  • Error loading servlet: weblogic.servlet.FileServlet with v. 4.0.3

Servlets have been working for months. Suddenly, I'm getting
this error (see below) as soon as I try to hit a servlet.
The startup process looks normal. I've re-installed WL v 4.0.3
several time, gotten the license in place, so on and so forth,
but cannot get around this problem. "weblogic.properties" file
              still reads:
              weblogic.httpd.register.file=weblogic.servlet.FileServlet
All my servlets and EJBs have been registered, and db connection and
pool made, as usual. As I said above, everything looks normal until
I try to hit a servlet.

Did you register your servlets after reinstalling. FileServlet is only for handling html pages. It has no role in loading servlets.

  • Java.lang.NullPointerException at weblogic.servlet.logging.LogManagerHttp.log(LogManagerHttp.java:292)

              Hi,
intermittently we are seeing this exception in the server log files on weblogic 6.1
sp2, I was wondering what the cause is:
              java.lang.NullPointerException
                   at weblogic.servlet.logging.LogManagerHttp.log(LogManagerHttp.java:292)
                   at weblogic.servlet.internal.HttpServer.log(HttpServer.java:835)
                   at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletResponseImpl.send(ServletResponseImpl.java:1002)
                   at weblogic.servlet.internal.ServletRequestImpl.execute(ServletRequestImpl.java:2209)
                   at weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.execute(ExecuteThread.java:139)
                   at weblogic.kernel.ExecuteThread.run(ExecuteThread.java:120)

Did your C:\Lighthammer\Security\userdata\IlluminatorUsers.xml or other files in this directory get corrupted somehow?
If you've rebooted the box or bounced the ServletExec-xMII service, do you see anything in the SYSTEM level messages that are forced during the initialization sequence in either the Lighthammer General log or the LHSecurity General log that would give any indications to the problem?
    Regards,
    Jeremy

  • The servlet weblogic.servlet.AsyncInitServlet init method failed

I installed WLS 9.2.2 recently with my app being on 8.1.5 for a long time.
I chose to create a new domain instead of upgrading my existing one.
I use the eclipse 3.2.2 with the WL plugin.
When I start the server and login to the console not using eclipse it works fine.
Trying to start the server and login to the console gives a internal server error.
Any idea what could be wrong? I bolded the parts where I have looked into.
    Here is the console output:

Thanks for your replies adrian and david.
The only thing I see different is that eclipse has different arguments when calling the jvm at the top.
    startWebLogic.cmd:
    C:\bea92\JDK150~1\bin\java -client -Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:CompileThreshold=8000
    -XX:PermSize=48m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m -Xverify:none -da -Dplatform.home=C:\b
    ea92\WEBLOG~1 -Dwls.home=C:\bea92\WEBLOG~1\server -Dwli.home=C:\bea92\WEBLOG~1\i
    ntegration -Dweblogic.management.discover=true -Dwlw.iterativeDev= -Dwlw.testC
    onsole= -Dwlw.logErrorsToConsole= -Dweblogic.ext.dirs=C:\bea92\patch_weblogic922
    \profiles\default\sysext_manifest_classpath -Dweblogic.Name=AdminServer -Djava.s
    ecurity.policy=C:\bea92\WEBLOG~1\server\lib\weblogic.policy weblogic.Server
    eclipse:
    -hotspot -Xms32m -Xmx200m -Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled=
Eclipse may be calling the cmd I dont know.
I will try upgrading my eclipse like adrian said, but in the meantime I appreciate any further advice/tips.

    Hi,
I had the same issue regarding WLS8.1 to WLS10 migration with MDBs.
Contacted BEA support. The solution for me was to add a WorkContext
    and assign the weblogic.app.internal.AdminMode.
    From the Admin console:
    1) Create a workcontext
click workcontext -> Work Context Resources -select new-> path: add weblogic.app.internal.AdminMode then "all actions"
Make sure you save them and released the configuration
    2) Add the policy to the existing weblogic.app.internal.AdminMode workcontext,
select the work context resource-> weblogic.app.internal.AdminMode -> select Policy tab-> Select
"DefaultAuthorizer" Select "Add Condition"-> Select "Group" Select "Next" -> Add "everyone" into "Group Argument Name" Then save.
That did the trick for me. In cluster and standalone.
