Classical Order with Order lines entry with Web Service

Hello all,
I want to create a application in ADF that calls a web service for order entry. The Web service accepts an Order Object which contain a array of Order Lines Objects. This is a web service with a complex input object and I think the best is use a jax-ws proxy with a PoJo Data Control.
But my problem is how can I make a suitable user interface for this? How can I create a Form where I can enter the Order Lines? I can bind a Table to this array but then I can only add 1 OrderLine.
Thanks, Joost

I found out that it is possible to bind the OrderLines to a table and add a button to the jsp with the following code in a backing bean:
BindingContext bc = BindingContext.getCurrent();
DCBindingContainer bindings = (DCBindingContainer)bc.getCurrentBindingsEntry();
DCIteratorBinding dcib = (DCIteratorBinding) bindings.get("orderlinesIterator");
RowSetIterator iter = dcib.getRowSetIterator();
Row newRow = iter.createRow();
iter.insertRowAtRangeIndex(0, newRow);
This create a new row and everything works fine in combination of the Web Service!

  • ORDER BY in line chart with more than 1 lines

    Hello,
    I created a line chart and added 3 chart rows. The x-axis shows the calendar week, which should be ordered.
    It works perfectly with only one row, but if I add a 2nd or a 3rd row and execute it, the chart shows nothing and stays blank.
    If I delete the "ORDER BY KW" for each row the x-axis is mixed up.
    Here is my SQL:
    select null link, KW label, SUM(SNDG) value
    from "TBL_FB_SNDG_FRTTR"
    WHERE SEND_KZ = 'Z'
    group by KW
    order by KW
    Can anybody help me?
    Thanks so much,
    LISA

    I found a solution:
    - create a VIEW which is ORDER BY KW
    - use this VIEW instead of the table for the chart
    - remove the GROUP BY
    Now the SQL:
    select null link, KW label, SNDG value
    from "VIEW_FB_FTTR_SNDG"
    WHERE SEND_KZ = 'Z'
    Before I tried it by using the GROUP BY and it did not work ... why it works without it - I don't know. ;-)
    Greetings,

  • Populate table with XML returned by a Web Service

    Hi,
    I have a web service that executes MulitipleRowQuiery and returns XML
    variable.
    When I set the data connection (in Designer) to this service in my
    PDF form I'm getting "document" and "element" nodes under the
    invokeResponce tree (data view palette).
    How can I use this parameters in order to traverse the XML that was
    returned by the WS?
    What I need is to populate a table with this XML data..
    Thanks, Rbuz.

    You can use the XDP as is ...it is just this forum that will not accept XDP format. I have already made th erequest to get it changed and we are waiting for the next software update.
    There are two sets of bindings for every object on a form. DataBindings allow you to import XML and bind the nodes to the fields and Execute bindings which are used with Web Services. I used your sample XML file as an input for data bindings and got it to work the way you want by using [*] in the binding instructions to indicate that more than one node was present there. This is not possible in the Execute bindings. You can only have a one to one relationship. So I do not think you can do it the way you want.
    Can you get the WS to return you the entire XML as a single parameter? If so then you could bind that parm to a hidden field, then load all of the XML into the DataDom and use Data Bindings that do support what you are trying to do. I have included a sample that shows the table being filled the way you want using data binding.
    You shoudl contact support and get an enhancement logged to get the WS bindings to act the same way.
    Hope that helps

  • Working with complex data types in web services ...

    Hi All,
    I have created a webservice and created an interface for that in ADF. Now as my web service returns a complex data type, i followed the steps given in this article "http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/1013/wsadf/adfcomplexwstypes.html" and it works fine, my results also get displayed. But only issue is i get a warning "JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:java.util.calendar with value:2008-09-23T23:51:30.000+05:30" and if i replace all the java.util.Date with oracle.jbo.domain.Date then i get a warning "JBO-25009: Cannot create an object of type:oracle.jbo.domain.Date with value:2008-09-23T23:51:30.000+05:30". Now i am unable to understand this although i believe it is a data type mapping issue, but not sure how to rectify it.
    Anybody knows the wayout?
    Regards
    Lokesh

    Andre,
    Thanks for youe response. I also tried makeing data type as string in place of date in data control.xml and it worked fine. So it confirms that i am facing with exactly similar issue as yours.
    I tried solution 2 mentioned in Frank's mail but its not helping[in fact i am already using web proxy as i am delaing with complex data types]. I created a web proxy and in java bean i placed break points to check the control flow[in order to check the root cause] but control never reaches the java bean!! I am not sure about the cause for it...control should pass through java bean isn't it??
    I am quite new to SOA...so can somebody just elaborate on how to rectify this using web proxy. I have been using this rl "http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/howtos/1013/wsadf/adfcomplexwstypes.html" to work with web proxies" to work with proxies.

  • Problems with permissions to execute a web service in a drop down list ...

    Hello:
    I have created several iView with VC and I integrated it into guided procedures process. In some of that VC iViews I have drop down list that are filled with data retrieved from web services created by us that doesnu2019t require any authentication.
    When I execute my VC iViews with the Administrator user everything works ok, but when I execute it with a different user the drop down list doesnu2019t retrieve any value, as if the corresponding web services where not executed.
    If I assign the "super_administrator" portal role to those users everythingu2019s goes OK. But I don't want that users to have that permission. Can anyone help me to identify which granular permission do I have to assign to that users in order to get the iView working as they are working for the "super_administrator" role?
    Thank you in advance.

    what goes wrong?
    Thanks for the soon answer.

    I have exactly the same problem.
    All possible grants are made.
    Running as SYS is not functioning as well.
    The same installation (the same jar's, the same utl_dbws version, the same database version) does function on two other (developers team's) servers .
    The differences are:
    Where it functions: Oracle database Enterprise edition on Windows (Windows 7, Vista)
    Where it does not function: Oracle database Stadard edition on Unix
    I have gone though a decent number of forums and other on-line resources with no success. Solutions available are to grant missing permissions. However these solutions are based on the assumption that under SYS user everything functions properly.
    In my case, this does not function even under SYS as SYSDBA.
    I will highly appreciate any recommendations!

  • Using Contract with SRM-MDM using several Web Service ID's

    Dear Experts,
    ALL of our Contracts were created and still being created by adopting products from CCM, meaning BBP_PDIGP-CATALOGID holds the Web Service ID and BBP_PDIGP-CATALOGITEM holds the Catalog Item GUID.
    When trying to create a Shopping Cart by selecting a Product from CCM and adopting it to the SC the system will assign the contract as a source of supply for this Product (of course if this product was
    assigned to only one contact, alternatively if it was assigned to several contracts, all of those contracts will appear as available sources of supplies).
    When trying to create a Shopping Cart by selecting a Product from the Internal Goods/Services and adopting it to the SC the system will assign the contract as a source of supply for this Product.
    All the above is an acceptable system behavior.
    Now we start testing the use of SRM-MDM in order to replace CCM, the problems weu2019ve notice are:
    1. A product B1 that was assigned to a Contract using CCM is add to a SC from SRM-MDM catalog (a different Web Service ID), the result was that no Source of Supply was assigned to the Product B1 in the SC although only one released Contract exist in the system for the selected product B1.
    2. The Central Purchasing department created a NEW contract by selecting a product A1 from SRM-MDM catalog; the Web Service ID is MDM1 assigned to a Named Search MDM_NS_1 allowing the user to see all items in the catalog. Now an end user, who is restricted to view only a part of the items in the catalog, is creating a SC by selecting the product A1 from SRM-MDM catalog; the Web Service ID is RESTRICT_MDM1 assigned to a Named Search RESTRICT_MDM_NS_1 allowing the user to see only a
    part of the items in the catalog, the result was that no Source of Supply was assigned to the Product A1 in the SC although only one released Contract exist in the system for the selected product A1.
    I found that the problem is in FM BBP_PD_INDEX_FIND in form FUND_ITEMS_ANALYZE where there is a determination for a valid entries according to search criteria that one of those is the Catalog ID.
    Please share your thoughts about this problem and how i can overcame it.
    Kind Regards,

  • Problem with datetime data type in Web Service

    Hi,
      I created local ABAP proxy based on a WSDL and some of the fields for the SOAP methods has data type datetime:
    name="MsgEndTimeStamp" type="s:dateTime" />
    name="MsgStatus" type="s:string"/>
    Since ABAP stack doesnt support dataTime data type it has created the proxy method with data type STRING.  Now when I call the proxy method (consuming the service) I get an error:
    <CODE>SoapFaultCode:4</CODE>
    <ERRORTEXT>Server was unable to read request. --> There is an error in XML document (1, 626). --> String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.</ERRORTEXT>
    I am sure others have faced the same issue.  Can someone help?
    Thanks

    Thanks but I dont think that link is much relevant to the problems I am facing, because I cannot change the web service definition as it is used by many others.  Also the target application runs on oracle so thats why some of the fields are datetime and I dont want to change that, even if I could.
    I am just stuck in creating the wrapper program to call the service since the SAP converts datetime data type to string and when the messages gets to the application it cannot convert string -> datetime.
    thanks anyway

  • Why do I get parsing errors with my WSDL URL for Web Services usage

    Hi,
    I am puzzled with the errors I get when I want to create a Web Service datastore.
    Scenario: I have created a SAP Web Service from CRM using SOAMANAGER. The WSDL URL produced by SOAMANAGER is accessibile when pasting the URL directly in Internet Explorer. WSDL URL [http://UXCIQ0M.WDF.SAP.CORP:50076/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/srvc_CBDCB34C89C29304E10000000A4282C0/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=504]
    When using the WSDL URL in the Web Service datastore URL field, I get the error An error occurred while importing metadata: WSDLException; faultcode=PARSER_ERROR: Problem parsing: The element type "br" must be terminated by matching tag "/br". (BODI-1111469) (BODI-1112446)
    When I save the WSDL defintion in a local file and use a local file path, I get the errors An error occurred while importing metadata: WSDLException (at /wsdl:definitions/wsdl:portype/wsp:Policy): faultcode=INVALID_WSDL: Encountered unexpected element 'Policy. (BODI-1111469) (BODI-1112446)
    My questions:
    - Why do I get different parsing errors despite the fact that the XML is the same?
    - The WSDL is generated by SOAMANAGER. Shouldn't it work directly when integrating with Web Services generated from an SAP environment?
    - Is this related to confiurgation issue? I have set the Job Manager to Support adapter, message broker and SNMP communication
    - What is the difference between the datastore of type Adapter and the datastore Web Service? In the white paper [http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/20bd5e60-11f9-2b10-2bbb-b5109cceff08?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true] it is mentioned to use the Adapter type to consume a Web Service. It is not clear to me why we have those 2 types.
    Thanks & Best Regards
    Isabelle

    Some updates on this issue, which might help others in the community.
    - Data Service doesn't support ws_policy.
    - SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SOAMANAGER generate WDSL with ws_policy. In future releases, it is possible to specify not to use ws_policy
    - In most cases, replacing ws_policy with standard  in the URL directly, works. It doesn't work with Data Services :(.
    - Replacing ALL ws_policy in the XML directly is currently the only way to have the WSDL definition being parsed properly by Data Services.

  • Problem with file receiving through abap web service

    Hi experts,
    I need to created web service for import file from .NET application into SAP.
    ABAP function expect hexadecimal string (same as GUI_UPLOAD / GUI_DOWNLOAD) but hexadecimal string from C# is too long (double longer), and I have no idea how to convert it. Also there is a problem with code page...
    Is there some better way to do this? Any idea is welcome!

    Hi Nemanja,
    Please bear in mind that your SAP system is based on UTF-8 encoding. Since you have the xstring length doubled, most probably your sender system uses UTF-16 encoding. So what you need to do is change the encoding used by your .NET application when sending the data to SAP.
    Alternatively, you can try using XSL Transformations in ABAP to have the input data converted from UTF-16-encoded xstring to ABAP structures. You can find a little example in this thread: ABAP data to XML conv with UTF-8 encoding and custom namespace. The point is to start your XSLT with the following: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-16"?>.
    Hope this helps,
    Greg
