if I am correct, X-CalculatedBETarget supposed to be DEVNAABCD01B.devna.mydomain.com but it connected to different domain devapwxyz01a.devap.mydomain.com. Do you guys have any idea on this? (I verified
the same using fiddler, it is failing right at autodiscover.svc call.)
I wrote a powershell script to connect autodiscover service in sharepoint server & this web service call able connect right server X-CalculatedBETarget. It gave the expected response.
I am not sure why SharePoint webservice call (X-CalculatedBETarget) is going to different server?
let me know if you guys have any ideas.
Thanks.
Thanks for the Response Raj.
I already followed the same instructions in the Links.
When SharePoint Autodisover.svc webservice send a request to Exchange server & Exchange server redirecting that request to different server, this is the problem i am facing right now.
X-CalculatedBETarget
supposed to be DEVNAABCD01B.devna.mydomain.com but it connected to different domain devapwxyz01a.devap.mydomain.com.
Let me know if you have any suggestions?

Errors when processing web service call
Hello Experts,
Based on a requirement, I got a URL based on WSDL, using which I created a Consumer Proxy in SAP.
I created a Logical Port in SOA Manager with type selected as 'WSDL'.
When I'm trying to execute the proxy class to call the webservice using the logical port through SE80 it is throwing an error log as stated below.
1) SOAP:14 Unexpected element -el=definitions ns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/
2)Error when processing Web service call
3)Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions: Unexpected element -el=definitions ns=http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/wsdl/
Kindly help me out.
Thanks,

I'm replicating between two servers in two sites (Server A - Server 2012 R2 STD, Server B - Server 2008 R2) over a VPN (Sonicwall Firewall). Though the initial replication seems to be
happening it is very slow (the folder in question is less than 3GB). I'm seeing these in the event viewer every few minutes:
The DFS Replication service is stopping communication with partner PPIFTC for replication group FTC due to an error. The service will retry the connection periodically.
Additional Information:
Error: 1726 (The remote procedure call failed.)
and then....
The DFS Replication service successfully established an inbound connection with partner PPIFTC for replication group FTC.
Here are all my troubleshooting steps (keep in mind that our VPN is going through a SonicWall <--I increased the TCP timeout to 24 hours):
-Increased TCP Timeout to 24 hours

I've done a lot of research on the Internet and most of it is pointing to the same stuff I've tried. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Maybe I need to look somewhere
else on the server side or firewall side?
I tried replicating from a 2012 R2 server to another 2012 server and am getting the same events in the event log so maybe it's not a server issue.
Some other things I'm wondering:
-Could it be the speed of the NICs? Server A is a 2012 Server that has Hyper-V installed. NIC teaming was initially setup and since Hyper-V is installed the NIC is a "vEthernet
(Microsoft Network Adapter Multiplexor Driver Virtual Switch) running at a speed of 10.0Gbps whereas Server B is running a single NIC at 1.0Gbps
-Could occasional ping timeout's cause the issue? From time to time I get a timeout but it's not as often as the events I'm seeing. I'm getting 53ms pings. The folder
is only 3 GB so it shouldn't take that long to replicate but it's been days. The schedule I have set for replication is mostly all day except for our backup times which start at 11pm-5am. Throughout the rest of the time I have it set anywhere from
4Mbps to 64 Kbps. Server A is on a 5mb circuit and Server B is on a 10mb circuit.I'm seeing the same errors, all servers are running 2008 R2 x64. Across multiple sites, VPN is steady and reliably.
185 events from 12:28:21 to 12:49:25
Events are for all five servers (one per office, five total offices, no two in the same city, across three states).
Events are not limited to one replication group. I have quite a few replication groups, so I don't know for sure but I'm running under the reasonable assumption that none are spared.
Reminder from original post (and also, yes, same for me), the error is: Error: 1726 (The remote procedure call failed.)
Some way to figure out what code triggers an Event ID 5014, and what code therein specifies an Error 1726, would extremely helpful. Trying random command line/registry changes on live servers is exceptionally unappealing.
Side note, 1726 is referenced here:
https://support.microsoft.com/kb/976442?wa=wsignin1.0
But it says, "This RPC connection problem may be caused by an unstable WAN connection." I don't believe this is the case for my system.
It also says...
For most RPC connection problems, the DFS Replication service will try to obtain the files again without logging a warning or an error in the DFS Replication log. You can capture the network trace to determine whether the cause of the problem is at the network
layer. To examine the TCP ports that the DFS Replication service is using on replication partners, run the following command in a
Command Prompt window:
NETSTAT –ANOBP TCP
This returns all open TCP connections. The connections in question are "DFSRs.exe", which the command won't let you filter for.
Instead, I used the NETSTAT command as advertised, dumping output to info.txt:
NETSTAT -ANOBP TCP >> X:\info.txt
Then I opened Excel and manually opened the .TXT for the open wizard. I chose fixed-width fields based on the first row for each result, and then added a column:
=IF(A3="Can not", "Can not obtain ownership information", IF(LEFT(A3,1) = "[", A3&B3&C3, ""))
Dragging this down through the entire file let me see that row (Row F) as the file name. Some anomalies were present but none impacted DFSrs.exe results.
Finally, you can sort/filter (I sorted because I like being able to see everything, should I choose to) to get just the results you need, with the partial rows removed from the result set, or bumped to the end.
My server had 125 connections open.
That is a staggering number of connections to review, and I feel like I'm looking for a needle in a haystack.
I'll see if I can find anything useful out, but a better solution would be most wonderful. -
Javascript web service calls fail after 10.1.5/11.0.01 updates
* Update #2 - I've confirmed that we are seeing errors because the HTTP request is being made as a POST using 10.1.5/11.0.01 in Chrome/Firefox/Safari. Accessing the same file in IE, the request is made using a GET. Using Reader 9.5.0 in Chrome also uses a GET. Can someone please explain why the HTTP request is being submitted as a POST following the 10.1.5 update?
* Update - I have found in my web service log that it is failing with a message that the attempted POST method is not allowed. Could the Reader updates be causing this call to be made as a POST when it was previously a GET?
I am using PDFs with Reader Extensions enabled that make web service calls via javascript. These calls have been working correctly in multiple environments for months and only began failing with the latest updates. After the latest Reader updates, these calls fail when using Chrome, Firefox and Safari.
Internet Explorer works correctly. Saving files locally and opening them in Reader also works correctly. It is only running 10.1.5 or 11.0.01 in these specific browsers where this issue occurs. 10.1.4 and 11.0.0 do not experience this issue in any browsers.
I have tried disabling Enhanced Security and updating Trust Manager to allow Internet Access from PDFs. Neither change corrected the problem.
Can someone tell me what may have changed in 10.1.5/11.0.01 that would cause these calls to start failing?
The javascript at issue looks like this:
var serviceKeyResult.rawValue = Get(serviceKeyUrl)
The error we get is "Error: Error attempting to read from file: {URL}"Thanks for pointing that out. The javacript was implemented by a third party, so I was not aware that the function wasn't part of the standard APIs. I'll get more detail on what is happening inside that method.
For now we have updated our web services to accept both a GET and a POST to avoid this issue. -
Occasional SOAP errors when making web service calls from C#
We have a C# application making web service calls to RFCs (non-NCO, SAP 4.7, WAS 6.40) and occasionally getting the following error:
The 'SOAP-ENV:Envelope' start tag on line '1' does not match the end tag of 'SOAP-ENV:Envel'. Line 1, position 34560.
This error happens randomly and can occur, not occur, and occur again for the exact same call (same data, same web service call). I anticipate that we might have a missing configuration on one of our application servers, but don't know where to tell BASIS to look. Any ideas or other help would be appreciated.That's going to be difficult. The random nature of the error makes it impossible to reproduce (so far) in our Development and Test environments. Since the error is coming from the SAP side, I believe I would need a sniffer on each production application server in order to try to catch this and that would result in some very large log files. Is there any log file or other SAP transaction that might already be capturing these failures?

Hello Guru,
I am trying to call a supplier service from SOA/OSB.
But while calling the service it is failing with the below error message
access denied (oracle.wsm.security.WSFunctionPermission http://xmlns.oracle.com/apps/prc/poz/suppliers/supplierService/SupplierService#getSupplierVO invoke)
As per OER cookbook i have attached the "oracle/wss_username_token_client_policy" to the Fusion apps web service.
I am trying to pass security credentials to the service by using all the methods... through composite ..through bpel through wsse header but in all cases i am getting similar error.
Please let me know if some one has called the fusion apps web service to create a supplier of solution to my problem as mentioned above.Hi Sai,
Thanks for the quick and correct response. Yes, after doing the research, I'm also came to same conclusion. But what stops me here is that where exactly I need to check for this permission.
I mean the theory what I built on this Authorization/Permission is that:
For the resource - WebService (SupplierService), there is an assigned application role for which the Entitlement/Permission is provided.
Pls. help me in the below items:
a. What is the application role(in role hierarchy) assigned to this resource(Webservice). Which page I need to check(navigation) this and the required credentials..
b. What is the Entitlement provided for this application role for this operation (getSupplierVO) invoke.. Which page I need to check(navigation) this and the required credentials..
Thanks in Advance.
Thanks & Regards

Error when processing web service call
Hello Experts,
Based on a requirement, I got a URL based on WSDL, using which I created a Consumer Proxy in SAP.
I created a Logical Port in SOA Manager with type selected as 'WSDL', and didnot gave any authentication id or password in it.
When I'm trying to execute the proxy class to call the webservice using the logical port, it is asking me a prompt for Userid and Password, and when I press enter, it is throwing an error log as stated below.
SOAP:1,007 SRT: Unsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized")
(Error when calling SOAP Runtime functions).
I think I configured the Logical port incorrectly. Is there any specific setting that I missed, I dont know.
Kindly help me out.
Thanks,
MallikUnsupported xstream found: ("HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized")
Unsupported xstream means response received from service provider (host) is NOT in valid xml format (usually HTML). You will see this type of error when host or service you are trying to call return HTML (error pages etc).
HTTP Code 401 : Unauthorized : Clearly means that user/password for service provider is incorrect

Web service call fails - type mismatch
Hi All
I hope someone can help, as I have been struggling with this issue for a few days. If I have missed any useful information off of this post, please ask and I will try to supply.
I am trying to call a web service, but contantly receiving the error:
"{http://springframework.org/spring-ws}ValidationError:cvc-elt.4.3: Type 'xsd:long' is not validly derived from the type definition, 'idField', of element 'documentId'."
An example of the call to the webservice is:
<cfscript>
getDocumentAsPdfRequest = structNew();
getDocumentAsPdfRequest.documentId = 12017988;
getDocumentAsPdfRequest.ignoreUnsupportedConversion = 0;
ws = createObject("webservice", "#wsdldocumenturl#");
ws.setUsername("#wsdlusername#");
ws.setPassword("#wsdlpassword#");
myresult = ws.getDocumentAsPdf(getDocumentAsPdfRequest);
</cfscript>
<cfdump var="#myresult#">
the webservice definition is:
getDocumentAsPdfRequest type getDocumentAsPdfRequest
Returns the document as a pdf if possible
documentId type idField - type long with restriction minInclusive(1000) maxInclusive(9223372036854775807)
Id of the document to be converted to pdf
ignoreUnsupportedConversion type boolean
Specifying true for this will return the original document without converting - if a conversion is not possible
the webservice xml is:
<xs:element name="getDocumentAsPdfRequest">
<xs:annotation>

<xs:complexType>
<xs:sequence>

<xs:annotation>
<xs:documentation>Specifying true for this will return the original document without converting - if a conversion is not possible</xs:documentation></xs:annotation></xs:element>
</xs:sequence></xs:complexType></xs:element>
I have tried using javacast("long", "12017988"), but the same error is shown
any help or advise gratefully received.
Thanks,
DarrenI forgot to mention that I have verified that this service works from SoapUI, the issue seams to be the way that ColdFusion is handling the documentId element.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why that error would be being generated?

403 Forbidden Error on Inbound Web Service Call
Hi XI Gurus.
We have been using an ID for a while now to login to the XI server to post SOAP messages to the adapter. For some unknown reason we now receive 403 Forbidden messages. The user has the exact same roles and authorizations as the corresponding user in another environment where this works fine. I know it's not related to any of the solutions posted here because using my ID works fine.
We have assigned the user SAP_XI_APPL_SERV_USER and S_RFC auth's for a few RFC groups that the interface will need to invoke. Again, this works perfectly in our other environment.
A few questions:
1) How can we see the error logs when this error gets thrown? J2EE Admin?
2) What would cause this? It doesn't seem to be authorizations at the XI level. Is it something at the J2EE level?This might be a silly question but the user is not locked?
You can always create a trace in the Java Admin Console:
Traces are used to analyze runtime errors. By setting a specific trace level for specific locations, you can analyze the behavior of individual code segments at class and method level. This is done with the help of the log configurator service:
Log onto Java Admin Console
 Services
 Log Configurator
 Locations
 Choose the location (Java package) and the tracing level (severity)
(for example, com.sap.aii.adapter.rfc)
 Root Location > com > sap > aii > RFC
 Set the severity to Debug (or all) and choose Copy Severity to Subtree.
Run end to end process and check the log file in the standalone log viewer. -
Web Service Call Fails on First Attempt
Hi,
I am calling a .Net web service from Flex and I am getting
unexpected results on the first call. The function accepts a few
parameters and returns an integer. I currently have it coded to
return 1, 2, or 3, but it always returns 0 on the first call. All
subsequent calls return expected results. Is this a Flex bug, or am
I missing something?
Thanks!Hello.
Last month, I've made an reply to the topic just the same to
yours.
Please see:

I'm not sure this problem is a bug or not, but in my
situation, this problem has been happened since I updated Flex

Cube refresh fails with an error below
Hi,
We are experiencing this problem below during planning application database refresh. We have been refreshing the database everyday, but all of a sudden the below error is appearing in log. The error is something like below:
Cube refresh failed with error: java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling return; nested exception is:
java.io.EOFException
When the database refresh is done from workspace manually, the database refresh is happening successfully. But when triggered from unix script, its throwing the above error.
Is it related to some provisioning related issue for which user has been removed from MSAD?? Please help me out on this.
Thanks,
mani

As part of our nightly schedule we have a unix shell script that executes refresh of essbase cubes from planning using the 'CubeRefresh.sh' shell script.
Here is how our shell looks like -
/opt/hyperion/Planning/bin/CubeRefresh.sh /A:<cube name> /U:<user id> /P:<password> /R /D /FS
Here is what 'CubeRefresh.sh' looks like -
PLN_JAR_PATH=/opt/hyperion/Planning/bin
export PLN_JAR_PATH
. "${PLN_JAR_PATH}/setHPenv.sh"
"${HS_JAVA_HOME}/bin/java" -classpath ${CLASSPATH} com.hyperion.planning.HspCubeRefreshCmd $1 $2 $3 $4 $5 $6 $7

We have not made any changes to either the shell or 'CubeRefresh.sh' or 'setHPenv.sh'
From the past couple of days the shell that executes 'CubeRefresh.sh' has been failing with the error message below.
Cube refresh failed with error: java.rmi.UnmarshalException: error unmarshalling return; nested exception is:
java.io.EOFException
This error is causing our Essbase cubes to not get refreshed from Planning cubes through these batch jobs.
On the other hand the manual refesh from within Planning works.
We are on Hyperion® Planning – System 9 - Version : 9.3.1.1.10
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Andy
