Classification SVM - Build - Results - No Coefficients

Hello gurus!
I ran a Classification SVM activity.
I have one variable which I used for text mining (categorical to text, sparse).
I was expecting to see the coefficients of the Build Results. On the other hand, I did not see any Coefficients tab.
What did I miss?
Oracle 10g
ODM 10.2.0.4.1
Thanks a lot!
Regards,
Manoy

Hi,
I found the solution.
Just choose 'Linear' for the Kernel function in the Build settings.
I usually select 'System Determined'. If the system chooses Gaussian, it doesn't show the coefficients.
So, I tried manually setting it to 'Linear', and tada! That's it. :)

  • Query Builder results seem to max out at 500 lines.  How to change?

    Hi all,
Some of out Application Express users are using the Query Builder tool for ad-hoc reporting. The idea is to run the SQL to extract the data, then download to MS Excel. The Query Builder results seem to max out at 500 lines. I want to increase that value. I searched all Application Express forums for 'query builder output max 500' and then 'query builder output' and did not find the answer.
How do I change the 500 line limit in Query Builder results?
    Thanks!

    Bryan,
Here is a link to an HTML-DB studio application, that is a QBE "replacement" for the query tool in APEX development..

It is for an older version of APEX, but you should be able to make it work for your needs..

  • Classification - decision tree - build result - empty tree

    Hi,
Using "Activity/Build" wizard (data miner beta3), selected "classification"/"decision tree", and "default" on all other screens. The "Build" looked successful. But when I selected the "Result" link under the "Build" section from the result page, it poped up a "Result Viewer" window, with a blank page (frame) under the "Tree" tab. I assume a "decision tree"should be created and viewable under the "Tree" tab. Any idea what is wrong?
    Thanks,
    Jack

    Hi Jack,
I think this is a known bug, but can you verify that for me?
If you launch ODMr using odminer.exe, you will also get a console window.
Now go to the tree result and try to view it.
See if the following exception displays in the console:

  • Blu-Ray build results in a non-readable / corrupt iso-image

    Hello
I have been working on a project that was created with PP CS5.5 using Windows 7 x64. The PP project has various footages in 1080p, mostly from Panasonic HDC-SD900 with 1080p 50p AVCHD material. There are some clips that were shot with Canon EOS 7D, and a crappy helmet camera. All the sequences were exported using H.264 Blu-Ray that results in m4v & wav files.
Everything works fine in Encore, even when previewing and checking the project, but when I build it to an image and mount it, windows can't read the image. It says it's ureadable / corrupt. I've tried to mount the image with three other computers, using Virtual Clone Drive and Daemon Tools.
Before I started to work on this project, I created a small test-image with Encore that had a few seconds worth of material from the SD900 just to see how blu-ray image building works, and it worked fine.
I've tried to change the BR-R size to 50GB in Encore, but I get same results. This was the only thing that came to mind, because the project output size was very close to 25GB.
I tried googling and searching this forum, but to no avail...
    Please help.
    -Erkki

Says here http://forums.adobe.com/thread/890691?tstart=0 that single layer BluRay is actually 22.5Gig

    Hi Per,
Please let us know if there any update. If the issue is fixed, please share your solution here. If not, you can try to add the heat into source control and check in
to see if the issue can be resolved.
Another option is configure an on-premise build controller to build your project. For how to configure an on-premise build controller, you can refer to this thread
    for more information.

  • Build model - view test result - i have no ROC tab

    Dear all,
When I build eg. a classification SVM (Lin.Reg, Naive Bayes)) model and view the test results, in that window I have only these tabs: Performance, Performance Matrix, Lift, Profit. I have no Roc tab. Do you know why? Before I used SQL Developer 3.2.09.30_x64 with this problem. Now I use SQL Developer 3.2.20.09.87_x64 with this problem. When I try to tune the SVM algoritm (so not let it automatic), there are only these tabs: Cost, Benefit, Lift, Profit. But not ROC tab :(((
When I use the old Oracle Data Miner software from 2011, version 11.1.0.3.0 (build 11705) connecting to the same database server (using the same account), and I build a classification SVM model, I have ROC curve.
Can anyone help me to solve this misterious problem?
    Than you!!!

We don't have "preferred target value" during model building in the new data miner. However, you can use the Transform node to transform your target into 2 classes (preferred target value and others). You then use the output from the Transform node as input source for your model build.
Here is a process to transform your target into 2 classes:
    - Create a Transform node
    - In Transform node, select the target column, click "Add Transformation" icon on the toolbar
    - In the Add Transform dialog, select "Custom" Binning Type, click "Generate Default Bins" button (accept default settings)
    - In the "Custom bin values" listbox, remove the non-preferred target values (select the values and click the "Remove Transformation" icon on the toolbar)
    - Now, you should have one preferred target value in the "Custom bin values" listbox, click OK to finish
You can now connect the Transform node to a Build node. In the Build node, select the transformed target (it should have the "_BIN" suffix in the name) as the Target for model build.
    Hope this help!

  • Results in Query Builder Differ From Report Results

I've got a report I built in SSRS using an SSAS dataset. The problem is that the results differ between the query builder result set and the actual report. For some reason, when running the actual report, certain rows are being filtered out, but yet those
same rows appear in the result set when validating the query in the query builder.
Here's the result set as it appears in query builder:
...and here are the results of the actual report:
As you can see, 3M and Angie's popcorn are not returned in the report. I have no filters defined on the report at all.
This appears to be happening with other result sets for the same report.
No idea why the results are accurate in query builder and then off in the actual report.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    A. M. Robinson

    Hi A. M. Robinson,
The issue may be caused by the data cache. When we preview a report, the report processor runs all the queries for datasets in the report using the current parameter defaults, and saves the results as a local data cache (.rdl.data) file. We can continue
to design our report without incurring the overhead of retrieving this data again if we make no changes to either the report dataset queries or the report parameters. Please to delete the cache (.rdl.data) file try to solve the issue.
    Reference: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms157366.aspx
Alternative, you can create a similar report to check if the issue is persist.
If the issue is persist, could you please post more detail information about your report design?  It is benefit for us to do further analysis.

  • Multirate FIR coefficients

I am trying to port matlab filtering tools to labview and I need some help understanding the filter tools.
Creating a multirate FIR with labview I would like to use a set of predefined coefficients so that they match what I built in matlab exactly.
It appears that labview VIs create the coefficients based on the input. Is there a way to specify the coefficients?
The task seems simple enough on its face. I have a 22 bit adc, sampling at 30 KHz. We need to calculate rms counts at 100Hz. To do this the designers required the measurements made by the adc at its raw 30 KHz be filtered and decimated to 100Hz with a duration of 60s.
I don't have a license of matlab to use with the matlab module in the labview developer suite.
I am currently calling octave via the command call. Octave is able to run the matlab files. But the start time to make and command call is quite high (10seconds) for each instance. Then there is still the overhead of octave. This is too long for my purposes.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

I tried using the FIR Filter.vi with co-effiecents calculated in matlab and the results were not what I expected.
I tried using the same variables to build FIR Narrowband Coefficients VI. it produced different coeffiecents which can be expected. But it was 20 coefficents instead of 165.
    fir1Sps.txt was from matlab.
So I am abondoning making the FIR filter coeffiecents in labview.
I will try again to use the FIR Filter.vi
Does the FIR Filter.vi remove the first N values from X. Where N is the  number of co-effiecents.
What format does FIR Filter.vi expect the co-effeicents in?

  • I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build.  The same call works fine when running on the device

I have a production mobile Flex app that uses RemoteObject calls for all data access, and it's working well, except for a new remote call I just added that only fails when running with a release build. The same call works fine when running on the device (iPhone) using debug build. When running with a release build, the result handler is never called (nor is the fault handler called). Viewing the BlazeDS logs in debug mode, the call is received and send back with data. I've narrowed it down to what seems to be a data size issue.
I have targeted one specific data call that returns in the String value a string length of 44kb, which fails in the release build (result or fault handler never called), but the result handler is called as expected in debug build. When I do not populate the String value (in server side Java code) on the object (just set it empty string), the result handler is then called, and the object is returned (release build).
The custom object being returned in the call is a very a simple object, with getters/setters for simple types boolean, int, String, and one org.23c.dom.Document type. This same object type is used on other other RemoteObject calls (different data) and works fine (release and debug builds). I originally was returning as a Document, but, just to make sure this wasn't the problem, changed the value to be returned to a String, just to rule out XML/Dom issues in serialization.
I don't understand 1) why the release build vs. debug build behavior is different for a RemoteObject call, 2) why the calls work in debug build when sending over a somewhat large (but, not unreasonable) amount of data in a String object, but not in release build.
I have't tried to find out exactly where the failure point in size is, but, not sure that's even relevant, since 44kb isn't an unreasonable size to expect.
By turning on the Debug mode in BlazeDS, I can see the object and it's attributes being serialized and everything looks good there. The calls are received and processed appropriately in BlazeDS for both debug and release build testing.
Anyone have an idea on other things to try to debug/resolve this?
Platform testing is BlazeDS 4, Flashbuilder 4.7, Websphere 8 server, iPhone (iOS 7.1.2). Tried using multiple Flex SDK's 4.12 to the latest 4.13, with no change in behavior.
    Thanks!

After a week's worth of debugging, I found the issue.
The Java type returned from the call was defined as ArrayList.  Changing it to List resolved the problem.
I'm not sure why ArrayList isn't a valid return type, I've been looking at the Adobe docs, and still can't see why this isn't valid.  And, why it works in Debug mode and not in Release build is even stranger.  Maybe someone can shed some light on the logic here to me.

There's a small sly file jdkPreferences.txt lurking in the workspace/LocalDevelopment folder. I changed it from
    #JDK Properties for Configuration LocalDevelopment
    #Tue Jun 24 10:32:21 CEST 2008
    jdk_source=1.4
    jdk_path=C\:\\j2sdk1.4.2_15
    jdk_target=1.4
    to
    #JDK Properties for Configuration LocalDevelopment
    #Tue Jun 24 10:32:21 CEST 2008
    jdk_source=1.5
    jdk_path=C\:\\Programme\\Java\\jrockit-R27.4.0-jdk1.6.0_02
    jdk_target=1.5
and now my Local Components can be built.

  • Develop in Flash Builder 4.5

    Hi all,
I'm working on a video streaming AIR application and would really like to start developing against the incubator codebase (particularly flash.media.H264Profile et. al.).
I've tried configuring both the 4.5.0.20967 SDK and the 4.5.1.21328 SDK for the project, after replacing playerglobal.swc, but regardless of the settings/SDK I choose, Flash Builder complains about not finding the imports.
I'm obviously missing something - does anyone have a fix for me?
    Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response, Joe - I had tried that already as well.
I just noticed that if I go into Project Properties > Flex Build Path and click Add SWC..., browse to playerglobal.swc, and add that, the imports are no longer marked as being unfound, so excellent on that, I guess!
However, as soon as I try and debug the project, I get an 'error while loading initial content' as follows:
Process terminated without establishing connection to debugger.
    error while loading initial content
    Launch command details:  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\sdks\4.5.0.20967\bin\adl.exe" -runtime "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\sdks\4.5.0.20967\runtimes\air\win" "C:\Users\Dave\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 Workspace\PWS Client - Flex\bin-debug\main-app.xml" "C:\Users\Dave\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5 Workspace\PWS Client - Flex\bin-debug"
Am I not able to debug the project from within Flash Builder?
    Thanks!
UPDATE: Trying to export a release build resulted in an error building main.mxml - every UI component I have was marked "identifier 'blah' used more than once."  I feel slow today...maybe I need more coffee...

  • J2SE 1.4 Samples - Build Problems

    Hello.
    Problem Summary
    =============
I'm having problems compiling and building the tutorial examples for J2EE
1.4. I believe I have followed the advice given in the tutorial correctly
(allowing for the tutorial's incorrect specification of the samples
    directory structure).
From the Command Prompt output (supplied below) there is an inconsistent use
of '\' and '/' - could this be part of the problem? Or are the environment
variables interfering with the common.properties, common.xml and build.xml
    variables/properties?
    Thanks in-advance,
    Andy Williams.

The J2EE 1.4 samples that are shipped with the J2EE 1.4 SDK are not the same as the tutorial examples.
To build the J2EE 1.4 samples, see the docs included with the samples in the /docs subdirectory of each sample application.
To get the tutorial examples, you need to download the tutorial bundle from:
