Wix problem in hosted build, results in BadImageFormatException?

I am about to start using the hosted build in VSOnline. But I have run into a problem with a Wix installer Project.
The build fails with the following error on the hosted build agent:
Unhandled Exception: System.BadImageFormatException: Could not load file or assembly 'file:///C:\Program Files (x86)\WiX Toolset v3.7\bin\Heat.exe' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.
In the log file I find this (some details has been replaced with xxxxx to protect the innocent):

The build works well from Visual Studio on my local dev workstation (Windows 8.1 x64).
Some details about the project, the solution builds two ActiveX Controls (C++ OCX) and a couple of C# libraries and an application.
Any tips on changes I can try to work around this problem?

OK, then pls follow below steps;
- Go to step 'Create Users' in solman_setup System Preparation scenario and make sure the user SM_INTERN_WS has a green status. Use the 'Test Login' button to make sure the user is not locked and has correct credentials maintained in solman_setup
- Immediately after checking the user status, navigate to Configure Connectivity->Enable Web Services and execute again the 'Create Logical Ports' automatic activity, in order to propagate the correct credentials to the Logical Port definitions.
- If the above operation is not successful, repeat the two steps above, providing a different user Id in 'Create Users' step, eg SM_INTERN_W1. This will prevent situations where the user gets locked by Logical Ports using an obsolete password.

Problems running Flash Builder 4.6 profiler

Hello,
I have a problem running Flash Builder profiler. When I click "Profile" it starts my web application, but nothing else happens inside Flash Builder itself - no new data appears in Profiler perspective, Flash Builder itself doesn't show any sign of doing something.
My mm.cfg contains the next line: "PreloadSwf=C:/flash builder workspace/.metadata/.plugins/com.adobe.flash.profiler/11/ProfilerAgent.swf?host=localhost &port=9999"
Additional details:
OS: Windows 7
Flash Builder version: 4.6
Tested web browsers: Firefox, IE 8 - the same problem in both of them
Flash player versions: ActiveX/Plug-in Version:11.7.700.169
I made sure that ProfilerAgent.swf indeed exists in the location defined in mm.cfg. In addition, I tried to change port 9999 to other ports (both in mm.cfg and in Flash Builder). I also verified that the location of ProfilerAgent.swf appears in trusted locations of Flash Player.
I would be very grateful if someone could help me to solve this problem.

I obtained it from Adobe and installed it using the Help > Install software option, but without unzipping it. Maybe that was it.
Now I've done a clean installation and it works perfect. I did it with administrator permissions, don't know if it has anything to do with it, but I read it somewhere and did so just in case!

RAXINV - Strange problem in Report Builder

I'm having a very wierd problem in Report builder 6.0.8.27.0. I'm simply trying to add two additional columns to the AR Invoice report (RAXINV) so that they get included in the XML output. This report has a main query called Q_INVOICE which is basically a dummy query to set the column aliases and at the end of the query it does a UNION with the user parameter &common_query.
So, what I have done is gone into the common_query parameter and added the two extra dummy columns before the FROM statement (I've tried adding at different places but always the same result). Once that is done I've then gone into the Q_INVOICE query and added the same two columns. When I hit the OK button to update the query is when my problems start.
There is a group in the report called G_ORDER_BY that has the field ORDER_BY in it. After clicking ok to update the query the G_ORDER_BY now has a field called BILL_CUST_NAME1, but the XML tag is still saying ORDER_BY. This happens to many fields in the report (the names are changed/corrupted) and as such the report is now useless as it won't compile.
I have no idea why this would happen and I've never seen anything like this before.
Can anyone provide any help on this ? I've logged an SR on this too but wanted to try here also incase someone had already crossed this problem.

Not sure if its relevant or not, but I just fixed this issue, you need to change your query in three places, common_query parameter, build_query program unit and the main query itself in report editor.

Problems with the build-IN SNTP-Client on cRIO9014&cRIO9012

Hi out there,
I have a problem using the build-IN SNTP-Client of a cRIO-9014 (and a cRIO-9012).
It seems that the cRIO sometimes gets another time (e.g. 28.01.1920 12:03:00) other than it should get (e.g. 31.08.2014 09:59:00).
I've found this problem in our measurement-files. They had some unusual timestamps (as showed in the following example).
To prevent the SNTP-Client from doing too many damages to our measurement-files, I built a time-validator (with a range of 5 min), which checks one of my servers (and let it write every time change to a log file).
The Log-File looks like (Where "$Message" is a custom-message. It is unrelated to the problem, but occurs every minute):

Does anyone have had this problem and/or know, how to fix it?

The problem happens sporadically, at first, we didn't even notice it, just that there are files missing and we got the strange logs. Now, with the workaround, we can finally trace the problem (and in some cases restore our measurement).
What do you mean with "connectthe cRIO directly to a router?"? Could you please explain it?
In the enclosure are more networkdevices, but only the cRIO uses the connection to the internet.
The "UMTS Modem" has also routing capacities, which we use to remote control both of the RIOs.

Problems in workflow builder

Hi,
I am facing problems in workflow builder and tasks while i am creating a custom workflow template.
1) binding between task and workflow does not work. One of the container element value is getting passed from the task to the workflow while others are not getting passed. All these are part of the same binding.
2) the workflow container elements are not available in the steps of the workflow. eg, in a condition step i am comparing two container elements, it is failing, its taking balnk values. also in send mail step i have included a continer elements in description. i see nothing there. means the container elements are blank for the send mail step.
3) the binding betw the task and the method simple dissappears (thrd Binding betw task and method dissappears !! )

Yes it look as though the data is not available at the time of the condition step. But how could that be as it is the business object attribute and that has to be available at any point in the workflow for all the workflow steps. I have used it several times in other workflow templates.
I have done the following
created new workflow template and put bus2091-created as start event
extended business object and added several new attributes and defined each attribute. some of them are virtual and some are database attribute. And while coding the definition of the virtual attribute, which is pretty complex logic, i have used the database attributes of the same business object.
the first step in the workflow was activity step . in which i called BO method to get soem data. eg frist name, last name of the creator. i did not export anything to the method, only imported the first name, last name because inside the method i use object-_essr-ernam to get the creator user id and then i find the names of this user id
the second step is the condtion step where i check the attribute of the business object. the attribute which are database attributes are available. but those which are virtual attributes are totally blank.
when i trigger the workflow, the condition result always fails as there are no values available. and in swi1 i can see that those values are very much there in the business object instance.
is it so that these attributes are populated later than the time when condition step is called ? if yes, then why does the workflow processing reach the condition step ? it should first process all the initial steps, ie completely instantiate the business object and then it should start the steps of workflow. am i right ?
is it because i have used the database attributes of the BO in order to build logic in the definition of the virtual attributes ? for eg. instead of using object-_essr-createdby, should i use only object-key-entrysheet. then write select statement on essr table for whatever entrysheet data i want and then carry on with my coding for the virtual attribute ??

Problem with Weblogic Builder SP1

I have a problem with Weblogic Builder SP1. I basically re-used my EJB deployment
descriptors from WL5.1 in WL8.1. Before SP1, i have no problem loading my EJB
in WB. But with SP1, WB throws weblogic.marathon.model.LoadFailureException.
I re-attempted by jarring my EJB with WL5.1 descriptors and used my friend's WB
(not SP1) to export new descriptors which I used to re-jar. This new EJB is again
not recognised by WB SP1?
What is wrong?

Problem with Folio Builder - added articles are "spinning"

today we are experiencing strange problems with Folio Builder. We are adding new artcles to folio created today and all added articles have same issue - spinning wheel in folio builder. Such articles we can't see in Content viewer until we delete existing folio.

Could be that there was a network problem when uploading the InDesign documents.
Try to select the articles and delete them with the trashcan. And then reupload the documents from InDesign.

Release Management and Azure Hosted Build Agents

Good day,
I configured Release Management as follows:

In this material mentioned that it is for VS Online (which I don't use)... However, I can't get it to work with Hosted Build Agent in Azure. When I try to release I get error
"Exception Message: The directory name is invalid (type Win32Exception)"
What actually mean that Release Management Client is not installed on the Build Agent.
Is it so, that I can't use Release Management with Hosted Build Controller/Agent? What other options to drive test Release Management w/o full TFS installation are available?

Query Builder results seem to max out at 500 lines. How to change?

Hi all,
Some of out Application Express users are using the Query Builder tool for ad-hoc reporting. The idea is to run the SQL to extract the data, then download to MS Excel. The Query Builder results seem to max out at 500 lines. I want to increase that value. I searched all Application Express forums for 'query builder output max 500' and then 'query builder output' and did not find the answer.
How do I change the 500 line limit in Query Builder results?

Hosted Build Controller does not build test project when using GitContinuousDeploymentTemplate.12.xaml

So basically my unittest project using mspec is not even built and copied to the outputfolder even though I build the sln file. This happens only if I put in a azure deployment environment in the build. It works with exactly the same parameters if I just
remove the azure deployment parameter in the same template. I really don't get why it's impossible to run unit tests and fail the build before deploying to staging. Is it supposed to be like this?

I would like to know what you mean when you say "put in a Azure deployment environment in the build", and whether you have run a post script during the build process. Please give out more details about your scenario, or share you build log here. You can
check whether it's build fine locally by using MSBuild or build directly with Visual Studio.
Maybe you can check whether the Azure environment has the right version of mspec test adapter. Or use Nuget package restore feature to include the needed files in your solution before building. If the build related to hosted build controller, you can configure
an on-premise build controller for VSO. See this

By Azure deployment variable I mean "Windows Azure Deployment Environment" variable which you can configure under the Process tab after rightclicking the build definition and clicked "Edit build definition" in Visual Studio.
I actually figured out what was wrong though. When "Windows Azure Deployment Environment" is set, the build target is set to <your_azure_project>:Publish. This target probably only builds the projects useful for that particular project, hence the unittest
project is not built. I fixed the issue by adding a msbuild argument under 2.Build->5.Advanced->MSBuild arguments. I had to set it to "/t <your_azure_project>:Publish;Build" and all worked well. Notice the order of the targets though. If I used
Build first, the whole build failed with some error trying to some virtual web folder. Also, <your_azure_project> is not entirely correct. At least for me it's named like My.Azure.Project, but the build target is My_Azure_Project.
I don't really know if it's supposed to be this way, but it looks to me like a small bug in the template at least.

Strange problem with my build JAR

Hiii everybody... I'm having a strange problem with my build (JAR file)... when I work with the Eclipse and I click in the table that returns the clients stored in my PostGre database it works fine, but when I build my application and it generates my JAR file and I open it and click in the same table to return the objects that I have.. it does not appears anymore.. just show when I work with eclipse... and the database is the same for both.
I already checked the database path in my properties file... and the application recognize the database because I can login and there isn't any runtime exception...
In that application I work with Hibernate and Spring... for me it is very strange because the application works fine when I run by eclipse... but does not return the database data when I click on my Jar file to open the application..
Someone can help me with that?
I dont know if the problem is in the Spring, Hibernate, Libraries...

So what's the error then? Are there any error messages? Have you checked the console? Or are you just clicking on the jar and you wouldn't even see the errors if there are any?

I was expecting to see the coefficients of the Build Results. On the other hand, I did not see any Coefficients tab.

Hi,
I found the solution.
Just choose 'Linear' for the Kernel function in the Build settings.
I usually select 'System Determined'. If the system chooses Gaussian, it doesn't show the coefficients.
So, I tried manually setting it to 'Linear', and tada! That's it. :)

I'd like to know whether you can build locally with MSBuild. You need to make sure you can build successfully in local with MSBuild before you can use TFS build, since TFS build use MSBuild as its default compiler.
However, from the error message, seems you don't have entity framework installed properly. Please have a try to reinstall entity framework for the needed version, also get the assemblies stored in GAC. If you have any other related concerns, you can
open a new thread in entity framework forum for a better response.

Terminal & Ext. Drive Problem - Will Give 6 MO. FREE Web Hosting For Result

Thank you for reading this! I am having a problem with an external drive, which has pictures and files that I use and need! I figured terminal would be the easiest way to fix this, but if someone knows another way to fix it, feel free to suggest that. I am willing to give 6 months of free web hosting from my company to the person who gives me full direction and a working answer to my question.*
HISTORY: On my iMac G5 I use an external hard drive to store files and pictures, etc. This drive has two (2) partitions. I named one partition "Backup" and the other "The Drive". For some reason, unknown to me, my computer renamed "The Drive" to "The Drive 1". I have used this drive for quite some time with no problem at all, but then...
I needed to let someone else use the computer but did not want them to have access to the "The Drive 1" partition. So, I went into "Get Info" for this partition and selected "No Access". It worked fine, not able to access.
When I went to change the permissions back, this particular partition was not available. I saw the "Backup" partition but not "The Drive 1". I tried unplugging and plugging back in the external drive, but still only see the "Backup" partition. In "Disk Utility" I see both partitions, but the button "Verify/Repair Disk Permissions" are gray-ed out (not available). I called Apple's Wonderful Tech Support who went above and beyond to help me out with this issue, but they said it was not something they cover in support.
I am looking for someone with the skill of being able to use Terminal very well. I will provide all information needed to figure out a result to this issue.
In Terminal I was stuck after I typed "cd /Volumes" and "ls -l". I saw the "Backup" partition and "The Drive 1" partition. "Backup" had this "drwxrwxr-x" and "The Drive 1" had this "d---rwxr-x". I understand that "d" is directory and what "r" "w" and "x" mean, but I do not know how to fix it from here. Apple suggested to try "chmod 775 /TheDrive1" or "sudo chmod 775 /TheDrive1" but it only resulted in: "chmod: /TheDrive1: No such file or directory". Please figure something out, I need these files. Thank you. And also, if you know another way to fix this without terminal that is fine as well, i just assumed that it would be easiest this way.
