The program under test is throwing exceptions. Your code catches these exceptions and prints out
Exception:::.................
You should change your code to print out the kind of exception and the stack trace associated with the exception to see where it is coming from (ie, the call stack for the loadClass method that is throwing the exception.
Note that you are getting both caught and uncaught exceptions. You will probably find that these exceptions are part of the normal class loading process, and that they are caught and handled by the class loader. You can change your code to not request caught exceptions if you don't want to get these.

  • Java application built using cr4e(clipse) fails to work in some Windows OSs

    I created a variation of the SampleViewerFrameClient, leveraging the opportunity to automatically refresh (refreshReport()) a Crystal report.  This worked in Windows 2007, but fails to work in Windows 2008 and 2003 (in a couple of ways).
    One theWindows 8 system with Crystal Reports installed, the viewer frame deploys displaying the report selection window, but after selecting and opening a Crystal report, it presents the following error window:
    Problem Showing Report
    Error Code: -2147467259
    This Windows 8 system happens to have both Crystal Reports 2013 and Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4 installed.  Java version JDK 7u55.
    On the Windows 2003 system,  without any Crystal Reports installation, running Java JRE 1.6, it fails with an exception:
    unsupported class version error (major.minor 51.0): SampleViewerFrameClient.
    It runs fine from eclipse on the Windows 2008 system.
    Thanks!

    Fixed the unsupported version error (by compiling with appropriate java compiler in Eclipse), and the report launch error in the viewer was resolved as well.

  • Basic query in JAVA Threads....Please reply !!

    I have a class (say ABC) which extends Thread...This class basically
    reads some file which provides some start-time and stop-time information..
    File structure is like:-
    ===========================================
    <Entry1>Starttime = A and Stoptime = B
    ===========================================
    Logic is that thread sleeps till time A arrived, then do some operations (which are written
    in it's run() method) till stoptime..
    The object of ABC class is being constructed in some other class.
    Now there is a change....File can have multiple entries like..
    ======================================
    <Entry1>starttime = A and stoptime = B
    <Entry2>starttime = X and stoptime = Z
    <Entry3>starttime = A and stoptime = B
    <Entryn>starttime = X and stoptime = Z
    ======================================
    The start-time and stop-time of any two Entries can be same or different.
    The operations should start executing at the defined time..
    In this case, multiple threads are required, which can do the operations
    mentioned in Entry1,2 etc.....But how should it be implemented..
    My query is:-
    1) Can I have a common-wrapper class, which reads the file and based on
    the number of Entries, instantiates that much number of threads...
    But how to do that....I am new to JAVA...Should that class be a simple
    class...or should it also implement Thread/Runnable interface.....
    Or can I implement it as ThreadGroup......
    Please give soem suggestions....Thanks...

    e.g.
            ScheduledExecutorService exec = Executors.newScheduledThreadPool(2);
            exec.schedule(new Runnable() {
                public void run() {
                    runTask();
            }, delay, TimeUnit.MILLISECONDS);

    There is no automatic way to do this in JDeveloper. I know there are some Oracle Partners offering forms to java conversion, I don't know how much of their tools are automated and done with JDeveloper. With JDeveloper+ADF you basically rewriting the Forms application from scratch (and using ADF is helpful during this process).

  • Why use customized / particular exceptions instead java.lang.Exception

    Hi,
    Do any of you guys know where can I find a theorical statement / explanation about why use particular / customized exceptions instead java.lang.Exception? I am aware that it consumes more resources and becomes a heavier object, as well as the clearness when coding and all that stuff; however, my boss wants to see a tech document where all this is clearly stated. Any resource over there?
    Regards

    It is better to throw specific--or at least module- or
    package-specific--excpetions, rather than Exception,
    because then the caller knows what to expect. However,
    if you declare "throws Exception", the caller can
    still catch IOException, SQLException, etc.,
    separately. He'll just have to be a really good
    guesser as to which ones he should catch.True.
    Also, there's no point in declaring "throws
    NullPointerException." Any method can throw it without
    declaring it. If you generate your own NPE (or other
    unchecked exception) inside the method, then you
    should document it in the javadoc comments, but you
    don't need to put it in the throws clause. It doesn't
    do any harm, but it's redundant and cluttersome.It was an example and I wasn't feeling too creative....excuse me. ;-) But yeah, I've never thrown NPE ever.
    I'm assuming overhead caused by extending classes.At
    the worst, it would be miniscule, or so I wouldthink.
    What overhead is created by extending classes?Hmm, I was under the impression that a class the extended another class, inherited all of the other classes data (variables, etc.). Hence, you get something like this:
    SuperClass1 + SubClass1 + SubClassOfSubcCass1 = Memory usuage for SubClassOfSubClass1.
    Since adding postivie number will always end up increasing data, SubClassOfSubClass1 will use more dtat than SuperClass1.
    Am I wrong?

  • Using Applets and RMI on WL6 - Error marshaling transport header; nested exception is:  - java.io.EOFException

    I have a project that I am porting from WL5.1 to WL6. It was working fine
    in WL5.1
    but cannot get it working in WL6. So, I went back to the HelloWorld
    example to
    see if I could get it working. The problem I am having is basically getting
    applet to
    talk to a server via RMI. The applet works fine alone and RMI works fine
    alone.
    I can't get the applet to talk to the server via RMI.
    I am trying to get the "HelloWorld" applet example in WL6 working with RMI.
    I previously had the same app working in WL5.1 with SP9 but cannot get it
    working in WL6.
    I am running WebLogic Server 6.0 with SP2.
    I have registered a startup class in the WebLogic console
    named "HelloServer". When starting up the server, it states
    that the HelloImpl class has been registered as "HelloServer".
    When starting up the client applet I get the following error:
    java.rmi.MarshalException: Error marshaling transport header; nested
    exception is:
    java.io.EOFException
    These are two different methods of looking up the same object.
    The exception occurs at the "lookup" method call in both cases.
    "myserver" is the name of my machine that WL is running on.
    7001 is the port that WL is using.
    Registry reg = LocateRegistry.getRegistry("myserver", 7001);
    obj = (Hello)reg.lookup("HelloServer");
    or...
    obj = (Hello)weblogic.rmi.Naming.lookup("rmi://" +
    getCodeBase().getHost() + ':' + port + "/HelloServer");
    I previously ran this same program under WL5.1 SP9 and everything works
    fine.
    I defined the startupClass in the weblogic.properties file in WL5.1
    Can anyone tell my what is causing this exception and how to correct the
    problem?
    Thanks

    HI,
    Thank you for your hint. Maybe I just forgot to mention one important fact. We have second SAP Netweaver PI 7.1 which is completely our system. The first one I mentioned in first message is the customer's one. The one we have extra is also connected to MAXIMO and GIS. Settings of this interface is completely same among one thing:
    Patch level of XIAF:
    1. customers SAP PI level is
    Adapter Common Library Version: 1.7.1007.20081105173106.0000, NW07_07_REL (2008-11-07T17:29:47+0000)
    Adapter Application Version: 1.7.1007.20081105173106.0000, NW07_07_REL (2008-11-07T17:30:00+0000)
    2. our SAP PI level is
    Adapter Common Library Version: 1.7.1008.20100215155230.0000, NW07_08_REL (2010-02-15T17:19:21+0000)
    Adapter Application Version: 1.7.1008.20100215155230.0000, NW07_08_REL (2010-02-15T17:19:31+0000)
    Both of them has Axis Version: Apache Axis version: 1.4 Built on Apr 22, 2006 (06:55:48 PDT)
    Also important to mention is fact that same problem happened in our SAP PI, but we implemented last patch of XIAF and it has suddenly started to work. I have suspicion it is somehow connected to this patch. Btw. this patch contains a lot of notes regarding  AXIS framework (i.e. 1435998, 1150375, 1048268), so obviously some bugs of the AXIS adapter has been resolved by this patch.
    What do you think ?
    Thanks

  • JBO-29000: Unexpected exception caught: java.lang.StackOverflowError

    Hi Friends,
    I have built a custom OA Page using Master-Detail approach. When I launch/run the page it goes to the error page with following message. This is not consistence as some times it does work. We are not making any change, when it works.The cause is unknown. I have deployed this page to Application server and there also the same problem. Sometime it works and sometime it doesn't. Bouncing the Apache Server helped sometimes but not always.
    We are using RUP7 on 11.5.10.2.
    Please throw your ideas!

  • How to use JDI handle event, need you help!~

    Hi,
    In our recent project, I need listen some event such as ClassPrepareEvent, MethodEntryEvent using JDI and handle it. I am trying to mend the TTY and let it
    do something simple when MethodEntryEvent occur.
    I just add a print line in the method methodEntryEvent in TTY.java. But I noticed that this method is not invocated after I input "run" commond. I don't konw why? And how can I listen this event? And when the methodEntryEvent method in TTY will be invocated?
    Anyone can help me ???
    Thank you!!!
    PS: methodEntryEvent method is post as follow:
    public void methodEntryEvent(MethodEntryEvent me) {
    Thread.yield(); // fetch output
    //notice:
    //i want print this sentens when every method entry.
    System.out.println("Method Entry:");
    StringBuffer buffer = new StringBuffer("\nMethod Entered: ");
    buffer.append(me.method().declaringType().name());
    buffer.append(".");
    buffer.append(me.method().name());
    buffer.append(" ");
    out.print(buffer.toString());
    otherEvent(me);

    SJTU

    You must enable a MethodEntryRequest before any MethodEntryEvent will
    be reported.
    In the jdb/TTY reference debugger, use the 'trace methods [thread]'
    and 'untrace methods [thread]' commands to turn tracing on or off
    for method entry and exit.
    Once you request MethodEntry/Exit notification, then the methodEntryEvent
    handler in TTY.java will be called and you will see the println() you
    added to the code.

    Any idea to fix the error? Thanks in advance.

    i figured out the issue. Actually there was a method called findMaxId in one of my DAO and in the query i was using the actual column name instead of the id name.
    any how thanks

    this is coming  when i m accessing this method:
    class BallServerImpl extends UnicastRemoteObject
    implements BallServer
    * @return an enumeration of all Balls as proxy objects
    public Ball[] getAllBallProxies() throws java.rmi.RemoteException
         Ball[] locations1 = new Ball[hash.size()];
    java.util.Enumeration iter = hash.elements();
    int idx = 0;
    while (iter.hasMoreElements())
         BallImpl impl = (BallImpl)iter.nextElement();
    locations1[idx++] = new BallProxy(impl);
    return locations1;
    why this function is running fine when i m calling this from client unlike getAllBallProxies() nevertheless both are returning the same thing:
    * @return an enumeration of all Balls as remote references
    public Ball[] getAllBalls()
         Ball[] locations = new Ball[hash.size()];
    java.util.Enumeration iter = hash.elements();
    int idx = 0;
    while (iter.hasMoreElements())
    locations[idx++] = (Ball)iter.nextElement();
    return locations;
    the proxy Class:
    * The Proxybouncing ball.
    public class BallProxy implements Serializable,Ball {
    * The Real bouncing ball.
    public class BallImpl extends UnicastRemoteObject implements IBallRemote,Serializable

    that there was some thread there in BallProxy but i removed all from them and now testingIf you don't post the code people ask to see, you may never get a useful answer here.
    P.S i didn't know that threads are not SerializedThe Thread class is not Serializable. Precision please.
    Now i m updating the code, i needed the confirmationConfirmation of what?
    and now trying to avoid them.Them?
    But what if i need them.Them?
    Please make the effort to express yourself clearly. You've already been told you're not making much sense and you haven't done anything about it.
    how can we make serialized?The concept of serializing a Thread makes no sense whatsoever. You don't want to do it. You don't need to do it. You can't do it. It wouldn't work if you could do it.
    Somewhere or other you have a class member that is a reference to a Thread. Remove it or make it transient. If you post the code somebody may help you. If you don't, nobody can possibly do that.

  • Exception thrown when trying to use CacheStore

    This message is for Mr. Rob Misek.
    Hi, Rob,
    As per our talk on the phone this morning, I have attached my cache confif file and a stubbed version of our CacheStore implementation(this is all we have at this moment). And also, the exception.
    Thank you.<br><br> <b> Attachment: </b><br>TDCacheStore.java <br> (*To use this attachment you will need to rename 130.bin to TDCacheStore.java after the download is complete.)<br><br> <b> Attachment: </b><br>td-cache-config.xml <br> (*To use this attachment you will need to rename 131.bin to td-cache-config.xml after the download is complete.)<br><br> <b> Attachment: </b><br>error.txt <br> (*To use this attachment you will need to rename 132.bin to error.txt after the download is complete.)

    Hi Hong,
    Take a look at the attached XML snippet that includes the internal cache scheme. Also you may want to take a look at using the com.tangosol.net.cache.AbstractCacheStore.
    Later,
    Rob Misek
