Clear control on Infopath form 2013

Dear Friends,
In my Infopath form I have lot of controls . I want to clear or reset all the fields with one clear button. How to achive this with out using the code . there is one way which I know is setting empty value to each and every control it is bit
tough to set this for each and every control. Please let me know how to achieve this.
Thanks

Hi
Add a button to your Form, called it Clear
Add a rule to the button
Select one action: Open a new form to fill in + the Form Template ID or location
==============================================
You can use "New Record" option available in the button properties, which is basically resets all fields and ready to enter new record.
Check the attached image
=========================================================
InfoPath does not come out-of-the-box with a Reset button.
So you’ll have to resort to either using rules or writing code to reset fields in InfoPath. - Link
These are the options you have for resetting fields in InfoPath:
If you have a limited amount of fields (e.g. less than 10) on an InfoPath form you want to clear or reset, you can use the Set a field’s value action in a rule for each field you want to reset. Limitation:
You won’t be able to clear the rows in a repeating table using this technique.
If you have a limited amount of fields (e.g. less than 10) on an InfoPath form you want to clear or reset, you can write code to set
the value of each field you want to reset. In addition, by using code you can also delete all of the rows
in a repeating table to clear it.
If you have many fields (e.g. more than 50) on an InfoPath form, using the first or second method will quickly become cumbersome. It is then best to use the technique I’ll explain next.
Suppose you have the following InfoPath form template with controls and a button control for which you want to write code to reset fields on the entire InfoPath form.
Note that the repeating table is pre-populated with 3 items and that when you clear the fields, you also want to revert back to the repeating table containing only these 3 items.

I removed SkyDrive for Business and installed OneDrive for Business on my laptop. After that, I had problems opening a Word and Excel document in a SharePoint site (SP2013). After installing Service Pack2 from Office2010, this problem is solved.
But I still have the same problem with InfoPath. Whenever I click an InfoPath form (I have InfoPath 2010 on my laptop),...

Any ideas about how to fix this ? I already tried to restore the Office 2010 via Control Panel - Install Programs but without any success...

    Hi Gert,
As I understand, you can’t open InfoPath form in SharePoint 2013 unless you change the URL without “ms-infopath:ofe|u|”.
There are some reasons which maybe cause this issue, and you can try to do things below:
Access CA -> General Application Settings -> Configure InfoPath Form Service -> Check the two options in User Browser-enabled Form Templates.
Go into the registry by typing regedit from the Run line and rename the SharePoint.OpenDocuments.5 key (ex. SharePoint.OpenDocuments.5.old) under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.
In library settings, click "relink documents to this library".

  • Unable to change and re-publish existing InfoPath forms on External SharePoint lists (SharePoint 2013 Enterprise Online and On Premise)

    Hi everybody,
I really reached the limit of my diagnostic ability... ...please help me!!!!
I subscribed an Online Sharepoint 2013 Development site to try Business Connectivity Services and InfoPath forms. Using SharePoint Designer 2013 I successfully created an external content type
and an external list, including InfoPath forms.
When I use InfoPath Designer 2013 to customize the forms I can open and change them without any problems, but when I try to publish the changes I made I get the following error:
"An error has occurred. The form template has been published to the server but it can only be opened using InfoPath filler"
(please note that I changed just an existing label, without adding any new control or new fields).
If I try to do exactly the same things but with an normal SharePoint list everything works like a charm!
I noted that the main difference between the internal/external list is that with the internal list the publishing path in InfoPath 2013 is something like:
    https://<sharepointsite>/lists/<listname>
whereas for the external list is something like the following:
     https://<sharepointsite>/lists/<listname>/item/template.xsn
Trying to overcome the problem I installed SharePoint 2013 Enterprise on premise using the VM from the Windows Azure Gallery. In this case the error I get when I try to publish with InfoPath
    Designer 2013 is the following:
The following URL is not valid:
    http://<sharepointsite>/lists/<listname>/item/template.xsn
and of course everything works fine with InfoPath Designer 2013 and regular SharePoint lists.
Even if I believe the problem is in general with external list and InfoPath, my external list is based on a the "Product" table from the "AdventureWorks2012" sample database
installed on SQL Azure and connected to SharePoint via Business Connectivity Services.
    A big
thanks in advance to anyone who is able to
provide useful information to solve the problem!!!
    Regards,
    Fabio

    Hi Folks,
Same issue here for any external list. We've migrated from 2010 to 2013 - it used to be fine on 2010. 2013 seems hang after 'getting site column information' then nothing. All effected users can quick publish to regular sharepoint lists, but cannot to external
    lists.
In our situation we are trying to quick publish to sites using the 2010 look and feel in a 2013 environment. using SharePoint Designer 2013 and InfoPath 2013.

  • Sharepoint 2013 Infopath form Date Picker causes screen to move shift to the top in non-IE browsers

I created a list in Sharepoint 2013 that has a date field. I then created an Infopath form that has that date field in there. When I go to insert a new item in the list, clicking on the datefield brings up the calendar control. In IE the page doesn't move,
in non-IE browsers it moves the page to the top. Is there a fix for this?

Also want to know how to fix this behaviour!

  • InfoPath form cannot be opened on Windows 8.1, Office 2013 32-bit

We develop an InfoPath form using InfoPath 2013 on Windows 7 64-bit, Office 2013 64-bit.  The most common user environment is Windows 7 64-bit, Office 2010 32-bit, and the form runs just fine there.
Some of our users are upgrading to Windows 8.1 and cannot run the form.  They are using Office 2013 32-bit as that is our corporate standard.  The form opens correctly using Office 64-bit.
We cannot even open the form in InfoPath Designer when running Office 2013 32-bit, getting the message:
Not enough storage is available to process this command
If we make a small form, it can be opened, but our full production form fails.
Is there a resource we are short on?  Has our form gotten too big to be run on Office 32-bit?  We have spent a good deal of time trying to find an answer, but have had no luck.
    Paul

We understand there’s an error “Not enough storage
is available to process this command” when you try to open a list in InfoPath 2013. After some research, I found some users ran into similar issues, and
finally resolved them by clearing the temporary file folders, changing the disk usage space, or increasing the value of a registry entry. Here I offer these threads, and if it’s convenient, you can take a look at them and check if they could offer something

  • Using InfoPath form to create a task item in SharePoint 2013

    Hi,
I have a requirement where I have to use InfoPath to create a task with attachments in a SharePoint 2013 List B.
I have to query a SharePoint Document Library A to display documents on the InfoPath form.
The user should be able to select the documents using checkboxes that he wants to attach to the task created.
When he clicks on the "Create Task" button, a task is created with the attachments in a SharePoint list B.
Also, the documents that are attached are then deleted from the SharePoint Library A.
Will the above require programming and does it have to be done on the SharePoint 2013 Server?
    Thanks and regards,
    Poonam

    Also, I tried removing SP.SOD.executeFunc

  • Configuring infopath forms in SharePoint 2013

The below is the error i am getting when i am tried to publish infopath form to a sharepoint list using WCF
A query to retrieve form data cannot be completed because this action would violate cross-domain restrictions.
If this form template is published to a SharePoint document library, cross-domain access for user form templates must be enabled under InfoPath Forms Services in SharePoint Central Administration, and the data connection settings must be stored in a UDC file
in a data connection library in the same site collection.
If this is an administrator-approved form template, the security level of the form must be set to full trust, or the data connection settings must be stored in a UDC file by using the Manage data connection files option under InfoPath Forms Services in SharePoint

    Hi ,
For resolving your issue , you can do as the followings:
Make sure that 'Allow user form templates to use authentication information contained in data connection files' in Central Admin is enabled
Create a Data Connection Library in your site
Convert the Data Connection to .udcx file
Give the path to data connection library

  • Repeting control in Infopath list form

    Hi ,
I want to create repeating control in List InfoPath form... Repeating control only comes in form template, but I have list form which I edited and done the changes in InfoPath, Now I want to add somehow repetign control , how can I do that
if it is not possible any other way I can achieve repeating kind of structure in list InfoPath form .
Please mark answer , if you think answer is helpful or correct.

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you want to use repeating control in InfoPath List Form.
To submit data to a SharePoint list from an InfoPath form, you could create a
SharePoint List form template that allows multiple items to be submitted.
For more information, you can refer to:

  • Requested registry access is not allowed when opening Infopath Forms on Sharepoint 2013

    Hello Technet Community.
I hope this will help anybody out there that experienced this problem after patching Sharepoint 2013.
I have a distributed 3-tier Sharepoint 2013 environment. All of a sudden, after the last round of patched released on 7-Jul-2014, opening Infopath forms would throw a "something went wrong" error.
Looking at the ULS logs, you would see the error "Requested registry access is not allowed.".
I have looked at tons of posts on different blogs, and all pointed out that you need to grant "read" permissions to the application pool user (in my case a service account in AD) to the registry key (and subkeys):
    HLKM/Software/Office Server/15.0
That indeed works, but it is not the proper way to do it. You should grant "read" permissions to this local group:
    WSS_WPG
And special permissions to this local group:
    WSS_ADMIN_WPG
Here is a snapshot of the special permissions needed
By the way, the WSS_PWG local group contains the app pool service account.
I do not know why patching Sharepoint removed these permissions from the registry keys, but oh well...
Anyway, Sharepoint is now happy and Infopath forms work as expected.
