Clear region caching

Question

hi,
any process that removes cached report from cache?
0.20: ...Cache found, " length="37730" generated 1,042 seconds agocache is ok just it does not work with SEARCH region, would like to reset regions cache when search conditions have changed.
found one idea: apex_util.cache_purge_by_page, but it does the same as session state processes. region is still cached.

Hello,
The way I handle this sort of thing is to have an after-login process that reads from a configuration table that essentially contains a timestamp of the last change to the configuration tables (say 3 days ago). So once (and only once) when the user logs in, you know how recently a change was made to one of your configuration tables.
You can now compare the date of this change with the date of the cached areas (by using the routines in the APEX_UTIL package) which then allows you to purge the cache if necessary.

By the way, caching is one of the most overlooked areas in APEX, hardly anyone seems to use it and yet it's such a useful feature so nice to see someone else using it ;)
