Clear the Form Data

I had an HTML Form region. Below that an parameter region for an interactive report items, and Interactive report with edit option.
The sequence is as follows :
seq.10, column1 - HTML Form region
seq.20,column 1 - Parameter region (Interactive report parameters)
seq.30, column1 - Interactive report (having Edit link button)
Initially the HTML Form region is blank, and the Interactive report also does not display anything.
When, the parameters selected in Paramater region and RUN button in Paramater region pressed, the details are displayed in Interactive report.
When the Edit button on the interactive report is pressed, the HTML form items gets populated.
The problem is that, once the HTML form is populated the interactive report again displays nothing / become blank.
Please suggest how can i clear / refresh the HTML form region ?

Hi Yogesh,
Your parameter items are probably being reset to null. Check the items source section to make sure they aren't "always replacing...". Also make sure you don't have some reset page process or some other thing setting items to null.

Firefox will close then it will open up with just basic Firefox. Now do this:

-> go to View Menu -> Toolbars -> unselect All Unwanted toolbars

-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Content -> place Checkmarks on:
1) Block Pop-up windows 2) Load images automatically 3) Enable JavaScript
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Privacy -> History section -> Firefox will: select "Use custom settings for history" -> REMOVE Checkmark from "Permanent Private Browsing mode" -> place CHECKMARKS on:
1) Remember my Browsing History 2) Remember Download History 3) Remember Search History 4) Accept Cookies from sites -> select "Exceptions..." button -> Click "Remove All Sites" at the bottom of "Exception - Cookies" window
4a) Accept Third-party Cookies -> under "Keep Until" select "They Expire"
-> go to Tools Menu -> Options -> Security -> place Checkmarks on:
1) Warn me when sites try to install add-ons 2) Block reported attack sites 3) Block reported web forgeries 4) Remember Passwords for sites
-> Click OK on Options window
-> click the Favicon (small drop down menu icon) on Firefox SearchBar (its position is on the Right side of the Address Bar) -> click "Manage Search Engines" -> select all Unwanted Search Engines and click Remove -> click OK
-> go to Tools Menu -> Add-ons -> Extensions section -> REMOVE All Unwanted/Suspicious Extensions (Add-ons) -> Restart Firefox
You can enable your Known & Trustworthy Add-ons later. Check and tell if its working.

Why do I get "The form data has expired." every time with Flash formatted CFFORM moved to CF 9.1?

We are moving a ColdFusion site from CF8 to CF9.1 and have discovered that any CFForm that was uses Flash as it's format keeps giving us the "The form data has expired." error almost every time we visit the page containing the form. We have fiddled with the timeout settings and even tried to add the various "cfheader" workarounds that some people have mentioned when getting this error, but to no avail. To be clear this works perfectly on CF8 *and* it works on our CF 9.1 QA server, but for some reason fails on the Live Server. Supposedly the Live server completely matches the QA server, but the behavior is sure different in this instance.
What could be the issues? What Apache or CF settings might I look into? Could there be some weird permissions error on the generated swf form file or some other obscure reason? I am totally in the dark and can't figure out why ColdFusion keeps thinking the form data has expired.
Please, any ideas would be welcome.

Make sure the web server settings between the QA and the Production servers are also compatible.
I suspect your suspecion about permissions is the closest to the answer. But this is a little out of my depth of expertise.
Realize that ColdFusion default behavior is to NOT generate and actual swf FILE. Rather what it does is generate the swf content in memory and directly deliver it to the client. But if the web server is configured to look for an actual file system file you may have a clash going on

I have cleared my cookies and cache and disabled some add ons, but when in Facebook and specifically for Farmville, I keep getting the pop up box, "This web page is being redirected to a new location. Would you like to resend the form data you have typed to the new location?" I have closed and opened the browser, too and it still keeps coming up.... Please help!!! Thanks.

You can't avoid that if the website is coded that way and data needs to be send from one server to another server.

Clear the History Data Automatically in Production Planning Table MF50

CFDiv - clearing the form after submission

I am using cfdiv with a data entry form and on submission writes the values to a db, works great, but, how can I clear the form after submission?
reloading the page loads it in the cfdiv.

How to clear the form fields which are not rendered

I have a creation form. There is a document_type list set up as a partial triger. When user change the document type, only the filed related to that document type will be rendered. This caused a problem when we need to clear the form . The input in the field which is not render won't be cleared when reset button is pressed. Can anybody give a sugestion on how to handle this?
I tried to use the following function to clear the fields. It does not work since it get the list value before the list value change and clear the fields after the new field rendered.

The easiest way to modify the screens in the Std transactions using ITS is to modify the ITS templates corresponding to that transaction.
E.g In you case,there will be a ITS service corresponding to the ESS transaction.This ITS service will have number of HTML templates which will actually correspond to the diffrent screens in the Trascn.What you need to do is find out the HTML template in the ITS service which corresponds to the screen(which you want to modify) in the STd transacn.To do this ,the easiest way is to right click on that Web page and say VIEW SOURCE.It will show you a HTML code with the ITS service name and the template which is being used for that particular screen.
So after you find out the correct HTML template to be modified,you can simply hide the fields by putting the HTML code lines in between the symbols

Adobe Reader XI did not save the form data (unlike previous versions). Any way to recover filled form with data from temp locations?
I was not aware that ctrl+s no longer works in reader and closed the PDF after savign it(with ctrl+s). However ,the data is lost and there seems to be no way to recover it.
I cannot find any temp files created by Reader on my system.
Also to my surprize(and shock), the reader did not even show a warning before closing the PDF. Does anybody know if/where can I recover the file from?

Are you using Adobe Reader XI? And not Acrobat. It does not ask me to save the form if there are unsaved changes.
I have used previous versions of reader for saving this form data and it did allow me to save it with ctrl+s. And those versions did prompt me to save the changes before closing.
I guess I should not have updated the reader.

Through processFormSubmission(), I got the submitted form data as Document obj.
Then I have called the workflow kickoff program.

You need to create a process variable of type IN if you want to be able to pass data to your process. Then the params parameter (HashMap) contains a list of all the IN variables with their content that you want to pass to your process. They key is the name of the variable and the value the content. That way you should get it in your process.
Now LiveCycle will create a column in the database for every process variable, so the content will be saved in the database just by creating that process variable.

because of its impact on security this error message cannot be suppressed. you might want to contact the admins of the website where this is occuring and ask them to implement a handling of user input without sending it to a different server...

On my mini ipad, when I'm on the internet -- a few times I will see a blue small pop-up boxes telling me to allow down/load or add something like the bubble-splash game or something similar. I jusr click ignore and it goes away.. I'm not sure why it's showing up lately.. I'm not sure if it's a virus or hacked in or a web brower matter..

I am having a problem in my ADF/JSF page. I just want to print the form data of my form instead of the whole page.using javascript:print() method prints the whole page.so can you help me in solving this issue. I have JDev 10.1.3 and do not want to upgrade to JDev 11g!

you can apply CSS to the page and use the media selector to deermine which components should appear in the print and which should not.

in forms 6i how to clear the form after the save button is pressed, ie the form uses default menu and smart bar. the user wants to clear the form once he selects save from the menu or after pressing the save icon...

try on-commit trigger on form level through clear_form procedure but cursor remain stay on the same record
I think your requirement is that when user commits a record a new blank record appear so also add "create_record" procedure ;
.but u have to apply some logic on that trigger also it ever fires when user edit/insert/delete a record and commit;

Pressing escape button twice clearing the form

I am using Jdeveloper 11.1.1.6 and noticed below issue only with IE browser
- Developed a .jsff page fragment, created a taskflow and dragged taskflow onto the .jspx
- Launched the form , and entered some attributes, by pressing twice 'Escape' button twice, clears the form
Does any one have idea why form get's cleared by pressing twice button ? Appreciate your timely response

The field values are getting clearing while swapping between the tabs.
However, when i am hitting the button(first tab) "Get department Info" in the first tab the report is generated with the details..
when i am going back to second tab and after comming back to the first tab, still i could see the report. i dont want the report to be visible when swapping between any tabs..

I was hoping someone could put me in the right direction here. I am basically doing the same . I am decodeing the information stored in a 2D Bar code and sending this information to an XML file, then I am trying to combine that xml file with a blank PDF template but the process is failing beacuse there are some additional tag fields the XML data from the Decode->Extract XML process.
The XML file from the decode process gives the structure below..notice therer some extra tags (lines 2- 4)
