Clearing an Image

Well i have an image, and a graphic for it to draw on.
It is used off screen and just drawn onto the real graphics in the
rendering.
Now... I want the image to be "cleared" completely when redrawing it.
I don't want any old graphics still on it. How do i do this?
I cant just fill rect on it... since that goes ontop of the old stuff...

Isn't that kind of slow... this is meant to be used in active rendering with hopes of not slowing it down too much...
Is there no easy way to clear an image from every kind of paint? Seems odd...
Guess i have to use one image for the background (cleared and transparent), and then reuse that one into another one that is going to be displayed perhaps... Like copying it into another images... hoping it actually writes over anything previously on it and not ontop of it...

Clearing the Image safe data

I've run into something that I can't explain, and I'm not sure how to work
around. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
We just got a new load of Dell Optiplex 745 machines. Unfortunately, the
imaging engine for Zen6.5sp2 doesn't include a NIC driver for it. So I
downloaded the Boot CD ISO for Zen 7, it is included there. I boot from the
CD and use the Imaging engine to load our image. In the past, our image
will load the machine and in the process, run ZisClearNT.exe to clear the
Image safe data. However, it seems that ZisClearNT isn't doing its job
properly. Zenworks attempts to restore the image safe data in the process
which isn't what I want.
Is there an incompatibility in the ZicClearNT and Zenworks 7 imaging engine?
I read somewhere about having changed where the image safe data is stored or
something.
Can anyone shed some light on the subject and perhaps let me know how to get
ZisClearNT to do it's job, it works perfectly under Zen6.5.

I found that engl has a tool that will clear it as well (ZisdCtrl.exe), I
can use that in my scripts (which is why I was using ZisClearNT in the first
place, it cleared it automatically during the boot process).

Card: Clear custom image grayed out

I'd like to print a couple of emails wihtout my image on it. Unfortunately in address book 'clear custom image' in the card menu is grayed out once i have selected my own card with the image in question. I'm stuck - f* What to do??

I have posted this question to the Address Book discussion instead. I would delete this thread if I could but don't see a way to do that. Sorry for the double-posting.

Clear previous image window when next page loads

Using digital pen to capture form data for billing later. When billing person switches from record to record the "image area" with the description is showing the image from the previous record for several seconds prior to the new one loading. This can cause billing the wrong code.
I just installed Firefox for (Apr 17, 2011) on her machine. My laptop has version 4 as well but it clears the "image window" when the next record is loading. I have tried clearing the cache and every other thing I can find but cannot get it to work on her desktop machine. It still displays previous (wrong) digital pen image for several seconds until the correct one is finally loaded.

The Firefox Page Zoom feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox.

In "Preview" 2 issues: clear last images opened & zoom not working

Any images opened in "Preview" from the past, all open up when I select other or new images to view. Basically anything I've opened in Preview since the install of Lion all opens when I select new images or items to view in Preview. Just now, 15 separate windows opened after I selected 3 images from the same folder. The other windows all contain items and images I've opened in the past few weeks. This is crazy annoying. I've never seen this before. I looked in preferences and I can't find anything to clear last opened or something to that effect. Please advise.
Secondly, in Lion, on both my Macbook Pro & iMac, I can no longer use my smart mouse, trackpad...to expand the items/images in my folders prior to opening them. Usually I could open a folder, see there are numerous images and use my fingers to zoom in & out on all the items of that folder w/my trackpad. Since Lion, no more.

In case anyone else has noticed this issue, I found the answer. It's a Lion issue, so delete the following plist:
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Preview/

How to clear the image after NetStream.attachVideo(null)

Is your instrument constantly sending data to you or only when you request the data? If it is on request only, then your buffer should be cleared each time you do a read (assuming you told the VISA Read to grab enough data). If your instrument is constantly sending data, then you need a second loop that does nothing but read and parse the data coming in.

How to get crisp clear vector images into motion2

I am new to this forum and love it.
My question to all you smart people is when I use illustrator for all my logos for companies. How do I get them imported into my motion project. I have heard of different ways, but none have done the trick. I see logos on samples that look clear and like vectors but when I place them they get really blurry. Also when I place the logo as a large image and scale it down, it looks horific.
Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated. I have pulled enough hair out on this project. Thanks a lot.

After checking my resolution, it is set at FULL, so let me explain my equipment. I am using a brand new G5, a digital output monitor, and OS X 10.4.6.
Do you guys think that I am just expecting too much from Motion, to make the image clear or should it look just as clear as a vector image in Illustrator.
Should I adjust any picture resolutions before importing a high resolution image.
Does anyone have a quick sample of Motion of a logo that they imported in motion and maybe that way I can compare it with mine, or give me the exact directions of how you smart people export and import logos into Motion. Thanks a lot, and I am destine to get my logos clear as I can.

Clearing an image field

I have created an image field that a user can select via a checkbox. The image field is hidden by default. If the user clicks a checkbox the field becomes visible. Clicking the field allows the user to embed an image.
I am attempting to set a "clear image" action, but for some reason if I set the image field rawValue to null the image field disappears and will not come back. The only command I am associating to the button is:
COPQImage.rawValue = null;
This makes the field disappear as if it was reset to hidden, and clicking the check box to attach an image will not bring the field back. Is this a bug, or is there something else that needs to happen to an image field if you set it's rawValue to null?

I have found your exmaples to always be very enlightening and helpful. In this case, there seems to be an issue when you set two properties:
1. You set the imagefiled to be hidden until a user requests it to be visible via a checkbox, button, etc, and hide it again it they opt to get rid of the imagefield (they change their mind)
2. You set the imagefield to expand to fit in the X and Y axis
In my case users are attaching snapshots of graphs they need to support the text written in a textfield. They may or may not require an image to accompany it, so I set the imagefiled to be hidden by default. They check the "Attach image" checkbox, I setFocus to the imagefield, they select an image. All good. But if you set the imagefield rawValue to null to clear it, as you do in your example or with a button or a checkbox or any manner, and hide the imagefield again to clear it's layout space you cannot get the imagefield to come back. I altered your code to hide 'myimage' with a checkbox, and set the layout to expland in X and Y. Once the rawValue sets to null and myimage is hidden it will not come back. If you do not set the layout proerty to expand it works fine. But if you expand that imagefield to size accordingly rawValue = null kills the ability to have it come back once hidden.

Clearing multiple images

hey everyone, I'm working on a game that involves making a "map" (a frame with a bunch of images, organized into a grid)

I'm not 100% sure of what you are after. I'm guessing you you are after scrolling? If so you want an offsetx and an offsety. Or are you after something else?

How can I create clearer, sharper images and buttons in Muse?

How can I create buttons and images that have a vector like clarity? When I upload images (buttons, jpegs and pngs) a lot of the time they seem to have a slightly fuzzy quality to them. When you place your images in exactly the size you saved them in Photoshop or whatever, Muse doesn’t touch it.
The quality in this case is the quality you saved the image.
The best way is, to examine in Muse the available pixel size of the image and then use Photoshop to obtain this size

I made an Image object and drew it on a panel using method paintComponent. How can I remove the Image from the panel afterwards?

Just use the remove method of the JPanel.
JPanel.remove(imageRefernce);You may also need to call the repaint method as well if it doesn't disapear.

Clear custom image Q

Somehow the custom image on my personal card in Address Book shows up on hundreds of my other contacts in Address Book. It gets very tedious deleting the custom image on each card one by one. Is there a bulk command to delete the custom image from all cards?

hello, I solved it for real, as asked.
I copied the System icons for guest user, converted them to tiff, and packed them with instructions, basically adding them to the user icons folder.
It needs to be known to people that the user login picture you have for OS X is used for your adress book. Changing the icon in iChat for example to the mobileme-cloud didn't affect the one in address book, nor the login one for OS X. It is a useful request to have a system wide option in the accounts Preferences (IMHO) to set the desired picture once and for all system wide and for internet visibility (iChat)

How do I clear all of the images in Contacts?

A while back the facebook app allowed me to sync the photos with my contacts. Because of this it now seems that the contacts app thinks they are all custom. I need a way i wiping all of the images. Even right now (I sync everything with iCloud), when I select "Clear Custom Image" it doesn't seem to update iCloud. I added my facebook account in the new updates and hit the "Update profile photos" and the photos go back to the image I just removed. I need a way to delete all of the images and start fresh. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

I did that already, and it cleared the applets for Safari, but not for Firefox.

Clear system drag image

Hi,
When using drag and drop (in a JTree) under Solaris, a drag image appears. I would like to clear this image to display only the image I have created.
When I run my app under Windows, there's no problem, only my image is displayed. Could somone please help me ?

Actually, there's no drag image : what I took for a drag image was just the default drag & drop icon under Unix. Now I just need to replace it by a customized icon.
